Studyblr Intro!

I've been interested in the Studyblr community ever since I joined Tumblr, but now that I'm actually in college and have actual contributions to make, I've decided to join in the fun! Here we go!

🌸 I'm in the 2nd semester at the University of Delhi. I'm doing my Honours in English, with Political Science as my elective and Environmental Sciences and Communicative English as additional subjects.

🌸 I'm very interested in the literature of early to mid-century Europe and the political history and current affairs of the world. I want to enroll in my college's Spanish class, but it's a bit too expensive for me.

🌸 I am fluent in English and Hindi (my native tongue). I can speak and understand Bhojpuri and understand Magahi (regional languages of my region). I hope to learn Spanish one day.

🌸 I love podcasts! My absolute favourite is 'The Magnus Archives' and the Juno Steel storyline from 'The Penumbra Podcast'.

🌸 My lovely fiancé is a PhD student at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, USA.

🌸 My main goal as a Studyblr is to socialise with other blogs and provide local content to my people from the Indian Subcontinent, because most Studyblrs are either Western or East Asian. Since the education system and cultural structure is very different in our part of the world, I hope someone can relate to my experiences.

I've started a Bachelor of Communications (in Journalism)!

I recently graduated from high school with an ATAR of 80.25 (very average but I'm proud of it after the rough ol' year that was 2021)

I took a 2 year HS Psychology class so I love biology-based study habits!

Interests

I spent the last 2 years as an active member of Climate Activism groups so Climate Justice and Politics are a major interests for me

I'm trying to re-educate myself beyond my own white perspectives through anti-racism resources and reflections. (A very active goal for 2022 and beyond)

I love video games and have particularly been enjoying Hades, Stardew Valley and classic Minecraft

I love any type of music (from Kpop to Indie Pop to Heavy Metal) so I'm always taking song suggestions

hello, you can call me alice! i'm a US based environmental science major entering my senior year in a few weeks. i was a straight D student all my life, and turned around to be earning a 3.0 now when i discovered envisci. i now aspire to always be curious, reading, and learning.

i'm into herbs & native gardening, non-fiction reading, anime, photo editing, digital bujo and abit of fitness & nutrition. i've cut back my social media use to battle newly diagnosed OCD & realign with my goals of going to grad school after neglecting myself during 2020 & 2021. 💚 despite being on tumblr for nearly 10 years, this is my first studyblr! i hope to have so much fun.

I am a Psychology major with a minor in Coaching

I run college XC/Track, and I am proudly the worst on the team!

I am also an (intern) instructor for a local color guard.

I am currently vice president of my college’s Psi Chi, as well as President of our school’s Active Minds.

I am a certified firefighter.

Who am I?

My name is Ellie. I’m 16 years old and will be going into my junior year of high school in September. I’m a scorpio sun with an aquarius moon and I’m an INFP. I plan to study nursing in college, specifically psychiatric. I am a native English speaker, and took two years of German classes, but decided to stop taking the class, despite still wanting to learn the language.

What am I into?

I really like finding new television shows to watch, astrology, and learning about interesting topics.

Why did I make a studyblr?

I am not very good at school. I pass by all means but I don’t always do my best. I’m unorganized, have sloppy handwriting, am lazy when it comes to small assignments, and procrastinate until the morning anything is due. I hope that by trying to make a studyblr, I will be more motivated to succeed.

What will I post?

I will mostly be reblogging helpful tips that I find, in no way passing them off as my own. I will be looking for studying tips, language learning advice, and some non-studying related tips, such as self care and playlists.

What are my goals?

1) To become motivated to succeed both school and in my social life
