Headcanon that Luo Bingge's birthday would be the day he left the Abyss, hear me out
Realistically, we have no idea when LBG's birthday is - and I'm pretty sure even he doesn't know exactly because he was, you know, sent down the Luo River for who-knows-exactly how long. The point is that birthdays are a touchy subject for him, because that implies that someone wanted to bring him into this world. His parents? Did they even want him? Why did they abandon him? Why did he have to grow up like this?
The only positive point is the washerwoman, but even then, that was the best part of his life. When she dies, a part of him dies too, and birthdays become an even more distant part because the only one who truly cared for him isn't even in this realm. Besides, when he comes along to QJP, he's probably thinking along the lines of "I've got no time for birthdays when I could be CULTIVATING"
And of course he gets bullied and everything, and the abyss is the last straw holding him sane. When he gets pushed into it, he gets the confirmation that indeed no one wants him. Even though there was NYY, she was still pampered by SQQ. And if anything, she might not want to see him like... this unless he gets powerful enough to EARN her love. (Aka Luo Bingge has self-esteem issues).
After all that hell in the abyss, when he comes out, he's no longer that white lotus, the one who believes in the good in everyone and that hard work will always pays off. No, he is now fully blackened and renewed with a new goal in mind: to make everyone pay and go down in history as a someone. He feels as if he found his true purpose in life, and god he is going to fulfill it. For once, he celebrates his birthday - not as the day of his physical birth, but of the person who he believes he must be and the person that was something he could never dream of. When Luo Bingge fell in the Abyss, Luo Binghe the sheep died and Luo Bingge, demon cultivator and tyrant, was born.
Also, it makes for a great tragic story when trying to wife up someone, and LBG fully intends on manipulating it to serve his purpose.
But sometimes, just sometimes, he dreams and thinks about the life before it. What would it be like if... if...? However, he promptly soon dismisses it because the past is the past. He cannot change it even if he wanted to. All he can do now is seek vengeance upon it.

I’d like to think that in svsss if a person isn’t interested in sex or asexual the aphrodisiac plants and/or monsters don’t really work on them (at most it’ll just make them heat up for how ever long or make them want to fight you know anything that releases energy) because I really don’t like the idea of someone being forced to do it

Shen yuan is a sex neutral asexual man. In that he is not repulsed by sex, but he does not seek it out or feel sexual attraction. He thinks lots of people of both genders are attractive/handsome/beautiful, but he does not have sexual feelings or urges about any of them. We can tell because we are in his thoughts, we can see other characters having sexual thoughts about him (binghe's rope awakening), and in mxtx's other works we can see clear examples of the other couples having sexual feelings about each other even if they are in denial or have never had those feelings about anyone else. Lwj with his horny grip and stolen kiss, wwx always trying to touch and get close to lwj, Xie lian and his 1st boner in 800 years, hua cheng and his horny cave shrine.
Shen yuan let's binghe fuck him on the ridge because the apocalypse but also because he loves binghe and if this is what he needed then shen yuan will provide it. Pretty sure he even says that. He does love binghe, he has died for binghe, he's just also very asexual.
mobei-jun and shang qinghua have one of the weirdest relationship dynamics ive seen in the way its just played straight and given like. 0 explanation by canon. mobei-jun i get tossing sqh around and beating him as flirting we’ve established that, but he will also very readily toss sqh in the bit with the final boss and his lackey, only to then in the SAME SCENE proceed to beat zhuzhi-lang senseless with his bare fists in a smack down bc he threw two snakes at the little rat man.

two days later, random demon #1 comes back, crying, asking mbj to forgive him, but he really can’t harm a hair on peak lord shang’s head, because his mother has been ill for months, and peak lord shang told him how to cure her ailment! he even packed the necessary herbs for him!! peak lord shang is his benefactor now, it would be dishonourable to kill him!!!
mbj is baffled by the whole thing, but he understands honour, and again, anyone can do this task. he won’t deliberately make life difficult for random demon #1; he sends random demon #2 to finish the job.
another two days later, random demon #2 comes back, and asks mbj to release her from his service with mbj because peak lord shang has showed her that she can do more than to just fight in mbj’s service! she likes music!! peak lord shang has gifted her a qin! she’s actually pretty good at it!! peak lord shang says he’ll give her some lessons to start, before they find her someone more suited for the job! isn’t peak lord shang wonderful?
and okay, mbj is Really Annoyed now. he sends random demon #3. this time, the assassination will be successful. random demon #3 is known for not just his coldblooded kills but also his aloofness. he’s been in mbj’s service for 10+ years now, and mbj has never heard him say a word.
random demon #3 comes back within the day, and declares that he is in love with peak lord shang. peak lord shang took one look at him, and sat him down on his bed, and bandaged that wound on random demon #3′s forehead, chiding him about how he needs to be more careful and take better care of himself, with such tender care. what was random demon #3 supposed to do? not fall in love with him???? impossible.
mbj has Had Enough. he decides that he will go forth to an ding peak himself to take care of this peak lord shang himself. he steps out of sqh’s room an hour later, and goes on a hunt for some books - he urgently needs to learn how to court a human.
one SVSSS fanfic trope that I will never get sick of is the one in Shen bros/twins AUs where Shen Yuan is consistently getting beaten up or yelled at by people who mistake him for Shen Jiu and he is just Completely Used To It
Lying awake at night thinking that in SVSSS canon it's never actually made clear if the System forbids transmigrators to reveal themselves or not. For all we know, they were free to spill the beans almost whenever, it's just that they are Shang "Major Trust Issues" Qinghua and Shen "I'm going to get such a good grade in transmigration" Qingqiu and so they don't

It does make me lowkey sad that Binghe and Yingying aren’t even friends in the new canon of svsss, but it does fucking send me to imagine Yingying’s live slug reaction to all the bullshit Binghe puts her sect through specifically so that he can keep being the teacher’s pet.
Given how she’s over him by the time the Abyss Shit happens, I like to think it’s largely because she was forced to sit through hours, days, months, and years of Binghe raving and gushing about Shizun (and NOTHING ELSE) in addition to being forced to watch Binghe do everything in his power (and NOTHING ELSE) to impress Shizun and just being like,
“Yeah… I think I’m good. With liking him. Forever.”
And then… Everything Else Happens, and she can only be like,
“Wow. Dodged a fucking bullet.”
