me, waiting for anything dragon age related during the game awards:
my favourite thing about the game awards, besides watching developers and creatives give heartwarming speeches for getting their flowers, is watching actual celebrities go on stage and get heckled (lovingly/not lovingly) by a crowd at an award show and not knowing how to react.

kinda genuinely fuming over the fact that Baldurās Gate 3 lost to Cyberpunk 2077 for best community support??? like girl.
cyberpunk is a phenomenal game, and it was from the start, at least in terms of itās narrative and story, and i think the community put up with so much shit and saw the beauty in it in spite of its flaws.
cyberpunk deserved that award in my heart, but whatever. it won it in my heart too
BG3 is GOTY! Stiff competition but very well deserved.
So like I have been pretty resistant to the whole āsuperhero media is being detrimental to cinema and pop cultureā discourse but uh seeing a Spider-Man fan react to it not wining GOTY by saying ābut we had Peter Parker, Miles Morales, Venomā I kinda see what yāall have been saying.
