MAG 059 Recluse

Knew this was gonna be good from the instant I heard Hill Top Road!! my one braincell was working in overdrive trying to remember all the details from the other two(?) statements

The! Table!! it’s the same table that the guy with all the notebooks had and that is now in the Institute (and maybe had smth to do with Sasha and Not Sasha??), right?

I think I zoned out for some of the ep but hmm more spiders — I’m sure that construction guy pulled the tree down and there were loads of spiders that came out of it

also the box with the apple I’m fairly positive was under the tree

this statement was given pre-construction so before the other two statements

I remember Agnes being mentioned but I don’t recall if that part was in connection to the fire and by extension the priest’s statement but I think so

overall some very interesting happenings

also Jon seems to get more paranoid in every supplemental (saying this I don’t trust Martin idk smth about his whole ‘lied on his resume’ thing fits the impression of his character we’re getting but I don’t believe it)

okay I’m just getting towards the end of s2 but I lurk enough in the tag to know there are some kind of overarching entity things called The Fears-

is this related to the TMA tagline, “make your statement, face your fear”??? so, every single statement that has to be recorded connects to one of them, even the more one-off ‘monster of the week’ ones??

idk it could be coincidence but the thought struck me at 4 in the morning when I couldn’t sleep so naturally was thinking about this show

I was gonna sleep last night but instead I binged the last 7 episodes of TMA S2 and oh my god

the attack on Leitner’s library is interesting in how it correlates with a bunch of the other statements — is this several of The Fears joining up to attack together??

oh no - Gertrude had 3 assistants that all met unpleasant ends? And then ‘somehow’ Jon ends up with 3 even tho Martin wasn’t supposed to be an assistant and now one of them might be dead? So it’s like history repeating itself??

the lore drop is so interesting - Leitner and Gertrude we’re gonna destroy the Archives??

WHY IS IT ALWAYS SPIDERS

- me, after listening to MAG 81 A Guest for Mr Spider

was going over the transcript for MAG 1 for my collection and TELL ME WHY I JUST REALISED SARAH BALDWIN IS ONE OF THE PEOPLE REPORTED MISSING???

mag 86 was genuinely one of the most terrifying eps thus far for me. like, not just spending all night knowing the thing was there but then thinking you were safe and it just freaking sits on the end of the bed and goes “haha sike you were never safe I just wanted to fool you into thinking you were”?? chilling

okay listened to MAG 94 and I have a grand total of 2 thoughts:

1. the little crackle sound effect now when Jon compels people?? obsessed

2. as a neuro student the point about dissections making you hungry is REAL I was ravenous after dissection classes 0-0 (I promise medical students are normal *side eyes the statement about those anatomy students*)

MAG 100 was either a really good ep showing a snapshot of all the people dealing with different Fears or was just a vent ep about dealing with the general public…or both, I’m undecided

like between the “oh I saw a ghost that burned me but ehh I just went back to sleep” and “the government are running experiments in an abandoned tube” I was speechless

I think tma Gerry had more than just his blond roots showing. Like I picture the entirety of his hair is patchy, and the back is almost more blond than black. For one of your most memorable traits to be your shitty dye job I think you'd have to have more than just needing a root touch up

So I was being silly and thinking, if protocol is a parallel to archives, that means bonzo is probably running about somewhere being bonzo.

And If his show is silly and uncanny like a Circus, that means someone HAS to at least feel a TINY bit scared of him

And in s5 there's a big ass circus, and I'm pretty sure Jon Alluded that there are otherx

So, by conclusion, does that mean Jon and martin could have walked through a Mr. Bonzo themed fear hell????
