I think tma Gerry had more than just his blond roots showing. Like I picture the entirety of his hair is patchy, and the back is almost more blond than black. For one of your most memorable traits to be your shitty dye job I think you'd have to have more than just needing a root touch up

Jonathan Sims cooking headcanons cause they’ve been floating around in my head. This goes through in detail of s1-s4 so some spoilers.

I like to think he would be a good cook in Uni if he wasn’t in The Mechanisms band (hc), being in a band is pretty time consuming, so it was easier to just have ready meals most of the time, but when he has time for himself, he’d always make a dish his gran used to make, recipe book being passed down of course.

In season one he was a bit swamped trying to get the archives in order, but still had a bit of time to always cook, a bit of comfort during his stressful times. Till the horrors came of course, season two, full paranoia and rash decisions? Back to instant noodles and an egregious amount of takeout, definitely not healthy eating habits and probably skipped some meals too. Season three probably helped a bit with that, living with Georgie definitely helped. A bit of a reminder that he needs to take care of himself and motivation from Georgie to do so helps him to eat more balanced, but still falling into those habits of skipping meals and eating things not so great because its easier. Starts falling deeper into that as he goes deeper into searching for people and trying to stop the Unknowing.

When Jon breaks out of that coma in season four he finds he no longer really has an appetite for actual food. Snacks from time to time but, statements taken live from people are a lot better to give him strength, fulfilling that hunger, but after that intervention he can’t really do that anymore, so back to regular old statements and the very occasional ready-meals. Takes a harder toll to suddenly stop those live statements like that and he still craves them, but the feeling of guilt weighs upon him heavier. After finding Martin and escaping to the safe house, he feels a lot more grounded, still needing the written statements but cooking and having dinner with Martin is delightful, that domestic vibe that he thought he couldn’t really have now, and even just picking up some pizza or something from nearby was nice, being with Martin like this for the first time definitely was nice.

Then Season Five happened uh oh.

I saw a headcanon somewhere about how Jon is always staring right into the camera when someone takes a photo that he happens to be in and it's all I've been thinking about. Picture this, a group of friends take a photo together that Jon is in the background of and when they look at the photo they notice him just watching. They turn around and notice that he's clearly in the middle of talking with someone and doesn't even notice them. Now THAT is my shit! We need more spooky photos of Jon!

AU with Not!Martin where he's thin. Tim and Sasha wonder why he's less affectionate and why his hugs aren't as comforting or warm as they used to be. Where Not!Martin's incompetence goes from inexperienced to paassive aggression towards Jon. AU where Not!Martin's mother is the only one who knows it's not him and has a mental breakdown. Where they only find out because his mother leaves a statement and Jon can't deny this one.

OKAY SO, IDK HOW TO FORMAT THIS SO I'M JUST GOING TO MAKE A LIST AND ROLL WITH IT.

'Michael' absolutely adore birds. Especially the ones who are not able to fly. He thinks these are the ones who deserve the most love because the earth has already robbed them of what would rightfully be theirs (the sky) without them even suspecting. They're not even aware of it. 'Michael' sometimes 'cry' (as much as the things that roll out of his eyes can be called 'tears') when he sinks too deep into this thought. (You're welcome, Radium & Percy)

Michael is usually a really patient person when it comes to other people messing up tasks, or just having a hard time doing anything in general, but they can get really frustrated when the same thing happens to him and WILL need some quiet time to process his feelings when it does.

He has blood pressure issues and will faint if he get's up too quickly (projection)

He has a little spiral-sun tattoo on the back of his neck :)

As 'Michael' Distortion, it can change it's form indefinitely, but more often then not it will do it unconsciously when some very strong emotion hits it (like anger, joy, fear or embarrassment)

He really loves the sea and beach-related things. One of his hobbies before being consumed by the distortion was collecting shells that he found in the sand and giving them as jewelry to those he cared about. Gertrude has 2, Gerry has 7... until now.

Michael is a humanitarian activist and used to participate in several NGOs for various social causes and was part of the Greenpeace UK for several years.

Cried several times reading The Song of Achilles and still can't bring himself to read it again even after The Distortion got him.

Okay, THIS IS A HARD ONE BECAUSE MOST OF MY HCS ARE BASICALLY JUST SILLY LITTLE QUIRKS I THINK SOME RANDOM CHARACTER HAS, BUT—

Michael eats crayons. Pastels to be more accurate. For no reason at all.

They don't taste different for It. In fact, they don't taste at all because the sense of 'taste' It's something that Michael doesn't understand in the same way in eons of existence.

It likes the colors, but not necessarily in a synesthesic enough way to want to eat them. But It still does. It eats them.

One might think it is to cause discomfort in general public, but it is not.

Except when It is.

The disgust of seeing someone consuming something that was not made for it is certainly a source of disgust for many... But that's not who Michael targets. No... It's not 'disgust' It is looking for.

It's horror. The purest, most grotesque and utterly viceral terror that only one type of being can provide to It...

My sister recently got into The Magnus archives. She made an OC and declared that she and Tim were to get together. So, I drew this for her. I didn't have the heart to tell her what happens.

I'll probably do more with her later. For now, meet Amelia Bakfords. Archival assistant at the Magnus Institute, London. Tim's crush (as stated by my sister) Update! She found out what happened to Tim, she was very upset.

Ok I just got hit with ENLIGHTENMENT.

So I was doing what I was doing when I’m bored, thinking of the Magnus archive. So my mind went from how underrated The Dark is then to what the difference of between The Stranger and The Dark. This quickly turned into other underrated entities.

So obviously I realized how ABSOLUTELY UNDERRATED the extinction is. I mean they don’t even have an avatar. So I was like, ‘I should make an oc extinction avatar”.

So I made criteria’s of what the extinction is and how it would reflect in a human. So The Extinction is the fear of change. Which means a human would have portray some part of change. My mind immediately thought of Michael, who also seemed to be ever-changing, VERY inconsistent UNTIL I thought a bit longer.

Michael is not inconsistent, he is actually VERY consistent. While he is inconsistent in the sense of our perception he’s not actually inconsistent. He’s been consistently odd. No matter what you can expect him to be weird, fueled by rage at everything and madness. He is consistent wearing the lie of inconsistency to act like he’s much more complicated than he is.

So the extinction avatar can’t always be weird and shouldn’t be normal which brought me to a new issue, each character has a personality. Which is a HUGE issue for a character like this. We have to balance being weird as hell as well as not being weird as hell but he can’t be just those 2 cause that’s consistent. It would have to be new each time. Which is bad cause we don’t know what type of personality he would have. Is he chill, philosophical, gets high off barbecue sauce???? We won’t know. So now my mind shifts gear, I can’t make an oc so maybe I can find a template character of sorts? A character with big extinction vibes who I could change enough to act like a extinction avatar.

That’s when it hits me. THE BEST CHARACTER. And someone that I absolutely hate. I hate that This CHARACTER FITS SO WELL INTO THE ROLE. Drumroll please

That’s right Junko Enoshima is the best extinction avatar. Think abt it. She’s always inconsistent but also consistent, she has a personality that people can understand. She turns from smart professor to crazy high schooler. Also the cherry on the top is that she ACTUALLY CAUSES GREAT CHANGE. LIKE APOCALYPTIC LEVEL CHANGE. SHE TOOK OVER THE WORLD.
