Knew this was gonna be good from the instant I heard Hill Top Road!! my one braincell was working in overdrive trying to remember all the details from the other two(?) statements
The! Table!! it’s the same table that the guy with all the notebooks had and that is now in the Institute (and maybe had smth to do with Sasha and Not Sasha??), right?
I think I zoned out for some of the ep but hmm more spiders — I’m sure that construction guy pulled the tree down and there were loads of spiders that came out of it
also the box with the apple I’m fairly positive was under the tree
this statement was given pre-construction so before the other two statements
I remember Agnes being mentioned but I don’t recall if that part was in connection to the fire and by extension the priest’s statement but I think so
overall some very interesting happenings
also Jon seems to get more paranoid in every supplemental (saying this I don’t trust Martin idk smth about his whole ‘lied on his resume’ thing fits the impression of his character we’re getting but I don’t believe it)
double posting about tma here but some motifs I’m keeping track of as someone in the midst of s2:

That delivery company (the coffin? Plus maybe delivered the table to the Institute and I’m sure they’ve come up a bunch)
anyway maybe some of these are incorrectly bunched together and/or don’t have any further meaning but. my braincell is keeping an eye on them and some time I will get around to making a Notion database for all this
mag 86 was genuinely one of the most terrifying eps thus far for me. like, not just spending all night knowing the thing was there but then thinking you were safe and it just freaking sits on the end of the bed and goes “haha sike you were never safe I just wanted to fool you into thinking you were”?? chilling

okay listened to MAG 94 and I have a grand total of 2 thoughts:
1. the little crackle sound effect now when Jon compels people?? obsessed
2. as a neuro student the point about dissections making you hungry is REAL I was ravenous after dissection classes 0-0 (I promise medical students are normal *side eyes the statement about those anatomy students*)

okay on the topic of yapping about interests i was thinking about michael "the distortion" shelly (michael distortion specifically) and how he's often portrayed in fan art. i'm always a fan of and in love with how everyone pictures him, but lately i've had the personal thought of him being like...ai but in real life. just like how most ai recreations of people are weird and uncanny (the pupils aren't quite right, the hands are jumbled, etc.), you can't look at him the same way twice. he's constantly shifting and adjusting in little ways that from a distance or a quick glance he seems normal, but you look closer and something has shifted...this is probably not an original idea and there can be definite overlap with the stranger but idk I'm just yelling into the void.
(btw this is specifically for michael, but could apply to helen...I just feel like she would have a different distortion in comparison to michael since they're different distortions...if that makes sense...)

What I've Learned As An Archival Assistant
So I've been volunteering at this museum and archives for almost a month now and I've just noticed Some TMA Things
- Our archivist is a short chipper woman who wears glasses, silver rings and a cat charm necklace as well as the same black or grey cardigan every week -- she's thrilled by knowledge and hyperfixates on it
- Jack on the computer system digitizing files is ancient and will not let anybody help him he's been doing the job for almost 20 years I have no clue truly how old he is
- Some of my photographs go missing weekly and I just kinda. Shrug and work on another project
- We have tea time in the afternoon where us and the museum staff gather at the table and have tea and cookies
- I truly am the Martin Blackwood of this group but instead of tea I bring baked goods
- There's a spider sitting in the same damn spot by the front door that I always say hi to and he's constantly working on a web
- Randy's attire is Horrid he dresses like a hiker and his eyes are scarily blue
the people deserve to know my random tma headcanons
- melanie and jon are the exact same height. it pisses both of them off.
- daisy is the oldest archival assistant, she doesn’t tell anybody her birthday tho (except basira)
- tim has a nose ring, dont argue he just does
- tim and sasha pretended to get engaged to get free food from restaurants more than once
- melanie and jon have the same birthday. it pisses both of them off.
- jon steals everybody’s laundry and has worn at least one item of everybody’s clothes
- martin’s crush didn’t start until after mag22, jon’s started after martin told him about his cv
- jon is literally incapable of standing still
