Glynda is the vice headmistress - now headmistress - of Beacon Academy. She is Ozpins left and right hand woman and someone who has been with him through everything during his time as headmaster.

We've seen posts going on and on about Qrow and the other members of the inner circle, especially the ones that have characters to do with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz but they never mention her or how she copes with everything. I think I might try and fix that.

(T.W: this is going to contain a theory of mine on how her semblance works),

Glynda's semblance, as we know, is telekinesis. She moves objects on either smaller or larger scales and has the ability to fix and repair things with her mind. We've seen her control and fix things on large scales before (the breach and the food fight) and as we know by now a semblance is a special power made by the soul/ Aura to fit one's personality, mental, or emotional state.

Depending on your mental and emotional health your semblance can evolve it doesn't matter if your feelings are negative or not your semblance will automatically evolve and to stay compatible with your personality and traits, you can still train it to get stronger though. Ren and Ruby are perfect examples for this.

Glynda is a vice headmistress, a member of the inner circle, Ozpins closest confident, a renowned huntress, and a combat teacher and disciplinarian at Beacon Academy. The most successful and prestigious of all four Academies. Safe to say she's got a lot of power at Beacon. We see that she cares about the students following the rules and staying on track while trying to enforce said rules. She has control on just about everything at Beacon. We also see that she's trying to keep everything together, keep her students safe, keep Ironwood trusting Ozpin, keep the school in shape. She needs to keep things together or else they'll break and fall apart.

After the fall of Beacon we see her trying to put a shop back together using her semblance...but it doesn't work. She's out of breath and confused. Yes you could play it off as she's probably tired from doing other things like putting Beacon back together. But that is not the case. We see that she's started putting the school back together later on after helping repair the city in the books, and the rest of the city still looks very much destroyed.

I have a theory on how a part of her semblance might work.

She needs to KNOW. That's it. She just needs to know. We all know her fairy tale inspiration is Glynda the Good witch of the east and that she is someone very important and someone with knowledge on just about everything. Glynda doesn't know anymore. She doesn't know what happened to her students, she doesn't know what happened to Lionheart or Ironwood, she doesn't know about Oscar or Emerald's redemption, and she doesn't know about Raven, Winter, Penny, Fria, or the maidens. The Good Witch lost her knowledge.

We also don't know how young (or old) she was when she unlocked her semblance. If it was when she was young as in a child or pre teen then I was right and she did not have a fun childhood like the rest of the cast, if it was when she was a student - a new huntress, then the stress was probably getting to her, if it was recent - as in slightly before canon - then the stress finally got to her but she didn't show it (most unlikely in terms of timeline and experience with her semblance (most likely in terms of stress) or it could be all of them but she just didn't show it because of being stubborn and a workaholic

Now he wants to know why all the trans girls in Seattle are so angry, act so traumatized. “It’s not like you’re a bunch of child soldiers. The more I try to explain, to list the tiny grievances that added up to an intolerable day in my life, the more I sound unhinged. A man hissed at me on the bus. A bunch of teenagers loudly discussed whether I was really a guy. A girl I only knew on the Internet left a suicide note. The cashier at Whole Foods smirkingly called me “bro.” The TV at the nail salon, playing soundlessly, featured some nonsensical ghoul that I realized, with a shock, was someone’s idea of a trans woman, someone’s idea of me. The guy at the local corner store revealed that he knew where I lived and shrugged when I asked how: everyone around here knows about you. And now, I get irritated at one thing: a free drink, and I sound crazy complaining about that, right? Some total loony acting traumatized ‘cause a bartender tried to be kind.

My crush sighs and pulls out an ace. He knows people that have actually been raped, have actually been beaten—hell, half of the trans dudes he knows have been, and they aren’t paralyzed with anger, convinced they’re constantly persecuted. We’re talking real trauma, not someone whispering about them on the bus, much less the burden of free drinks. To which I know I can probably come up with some of my own friends’ real Trauma, but I’m too affronted, so I just shriek: THE WHOLE WORLD MONITORS AND MOCKS MY EVERY WAKING MOMENT!

Hey I love your chicago episode list it's really helpful, is it possible for you to an FBI series episode list too ik they have multiple TV shows that cross over and it gets confusing to watch, thank you

Hello FBI Shows anon! Thanks for the question!

Yes a couple of people told me about these shows! :) I’ve done some browsing and it looks like characters from FBI and FBI: Most Wanted cross over the shows a lot. Since you’ve watched, does this compare to, like, when Chicago PD was added to Chicago Fire? (do you know also if FBI crosses over a lot with the Chicago shows? if you know that would be really helpful!)

I’ll try to see if I can start watching these two shows. I won’t make a list without watching, because then people will ask me questions and correct the list and I won’t have any knowledge to back it up.

Right now I’m re-watching all Chicago shows from the start to order them correctly (’cause I learned that just ordering them by air date doesn’t cut it), and with still 363 episodes to go, I’m nowhere near done. That FBI list, if I really want to do this, could take some time...

As far as my weight loss goes...

Some of you have asked me how I lost the weight this far so I’ll share…

Knowing your body is key. I know that eating right does wonders for my body. I stay away from cheese, fast food, sweets, starch and fried foods. For the most part I eat clean. I eat a lot of green vegetables, fish, beans, and chicken. I don’t use too much salt for seasoning and I don’t use a lot of butter at all. I eat fruits but not too much because although the sugar in fruit is natural sugar, it’s still sugar.

I don’t skip breakfast and breakfast for me is either oatmeal with almond milk, blueberries, bananas and honey or a spinach omelette with a banana and a slice of whole grain toast with a bit of peanut butter.

I drink lots and lots of water!! I’m not crazy about juice and soda anyways so drinking water is normal to me. It keeps my skin nice ( I have eczema) and it fills me up.

I don’t eat past 7 pm. Late night eating is not good for anyone but if I need a snack I’ll eat a cup of brown rice and kidney beans. It’s ok to indulge sometimes. A cheat day is always good because it helps confuse your body so you don’t plateau and it satisfies your cravings but DON’T cheat all the time because then it’s not cheating anymore, it’s back sliding.

As far as working out goes I start EVERYDAY with 100 squats. Working those big muscles will burn a lot of calories. I do sit ups until I feel sick and I lift weights until my arms burn. I also have an elliptical in my home and I try to add five minutes every week so now I’m up to 35 minutes. I work out every other day. You gotta let your body rest especially if you’re trying to build muscle.

Long story short, guys just try to be healthy and make better eating choices. The saying “you are what you eat” is very true. You only have one body so just make sure it’s in the best shape possible, whatever that may mean for YOU, everyone is different so don’t be discouraged if your results aren’t like mine or anyone else’s. Just take it one day at a time and don’t give up on yourself.

1. As soon as you wake up, drink some water:

Drinking water first thing in the morning wakes up your system, flushes out toxins, and boosts your metabolism (helps you breath, think, digest, circulate blood)! Try to drink at least 500 ml, that’s about 1 water bottle when you wake up. Now that you’ve drunk 500 ml of water in the morning, you only need 500 more to make it to 1 Liter! Yes, just like that you’re already close to meeting your daily recommendation of water intake (2 liters).

2. Spend some time reading The Word (Jesus time) or journaling:

Wether it’s spending time with God or journaling, do something that gives you a mental break. Do something that lets you escape to your own world where you are not focusing on the outside noise. Reading the Bible is a great mental escape, it keeps you grounded and reminded of your purpose, value, and how much you’re ur loved. Spending time in the Word will give you an overwhelming sense of peace and pure satisfaction. Use that time to de-stress.

Journaling on the other hand is a great way to keep your thoughts organized and inspire creativity! Let your mind explore. Wether it’s writing down your dreams, a simple to-do list, or your dream life, use this time to relax. Also, you can use this time to remind yourself of your daily/weekly goals or just simply read your affirmations for the day.

3. Expose yourself to sunlight:

Besides the fact that sunlight gives us vitamin D, the right amount can actually improve our mood! Exposure to sunlight can help increase the brains release of serotonin (associated with boosting moods to help you feel calm and focused). So please, go for a walk in your neighborhood, open your window, workout outside, eat breakfast outside, just expose yourself to some sunlight!

4. Get your morning workout in:

This is a must! Not only is working out amazing for your physical health, but it is also great for your mental health. Try to get in at least a 10-30 minute workout! It is best in the morning because that means you won’t have to do it later. Do at-home pilates, some form of cardio, weight training, or do some simple stretching (all available on YouTube). Whatever it is, just get your body moving! You will not regret it.

5. Take a cold or warm shower:

What’s more refreshing than cold water hitting your skin after an amazing workout? Cold showers helps you feel more awake and increases circulation! For people, like myself, that are too afraid of cold showers in the morning, go a for a warm shower.

6. Have a healthy and filling breakfast:

Try to include fruits or vegetables in your breakfast. Fruits and vegetables are refreshing, and are full of rich vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants! Make sure your breakfast is also filling. When you eat a filling breakfast, it helps your appetite stay under control for the rest of the day! The better you eat, the better you feel!

7. Start your day:

Now it is officially time to start your day! Get in your zone and stay focused. Although there is a pandemic going on, that is no excuse to be lazy. Stimulate your mind! Work on a project, complete some assignments, plan a business, read a book, do research on something you’ve always been interested in! Whatever you decide to do, make sure you are getting your work in for the day.

Remember, it is okay to be tired, it is okay to give yourself a break, but do not let yourself sit there. Use this time to grow! Set goals for yourself! Plant your seeds now, water them, and watch those beautiful flowers grow in the future! Take care of yourself, you are important, you are valued, and you are loved. You will make it through.
