Sketchavember - Day 4
I was tired and ill yesterday, so I just doodled up whatever came into my head and boom! Sweetpea.
His ears are getting dry and will fall off soon. (Although I can't find any oaks near where I live so I'm not sure when they'll drop their leaves this year.)

Sketchavember - Day 30
One final Sweetpea to round out this fantasy theme! He's happy to have so many pictures drawn of him. (Sammy did one too!)
This year one ear fell off, but the other hasn't yet. Who knows how long he'll be lopsided?

Inktober 2015 - Day 8 : ink and water Sweetpea is having fun with the autumn leaves on his tree.
I wish I’d had time to do a better background, but this will do I suppose. Sweetpea himself looks pretty cute even with a lazy background.

Inktober 2015 - Day 22 : ink and water I went blackberry picking, so Sweetpea and Coriander did too.

Inktober 2017 : Day 10 - ink and water
The first ink and water picture of the challenge! Sweetpea is planting out acorns from his tree to help its children grow.

Inktober 2017 : Day 23 - G-pen Tree fairies of his type don’t usually venture far from their home tree, so Sweetpea has never seen a sweet chestnut before. It’s like a little hedgehog!

Inktober 2017 : Day 26 - mapping pen Like the leaves on his tree, Sweetpea’s ear frills turn brown and fall off in Autumn. Also like the leaves on his tree, they don’t tend to go at the same time. Three pictures in one day! The consequence of not always having access to my scanner.

Inktober 2018 : Day 3 - fineliners and grey pens I drew Sweetpea this way last year, so here is his best friend; Coriander! She belongs to a holly tree that grows right next to his oak, so they see each other every day. As an evergreen, her ear frills don't fall off like his do, but she does sometimes grow berries under them.

Inktober 2018 : Day 28 - fineliners and grey pens Here’s a Sweetpea to match Coriander from day 3! I normally try to avoid doing so many dolly style pictures in a row, but I was too tired for anything more complicated.

Inktober 2019: day 10 - G-pen
Sweetpea is trying on a new hat, but I don’t think it’s going to stay on over his hair. Maybe he’ll have better luck once the other ear frill drops.
I promise I drew this on the day, I just ran out of time/energy to scan it! I keep coming up with ideas that I know will take too long, but then I can’t bring myself to go with a weaker idea so I end up having to finish it at night. Sweetpea turned out looking so cute though, so it’s worth it, right?
(If you know your nuts and seeds you can work out how big he is by that hat.)

Inktober 2021, day 17 - mapping pen and ink wash
The leaves come down, the flowers come up.
