something something kageyama being so good for tsukishima bc kageyama is so socially clueless that tsukishima has to learn to be more direct when he tells kageyama things, inadvertently forcing him to become better at communicating!
kageyama probably isn't gonna pick up on tsukishima's subtler indications of discomfort or preference(like facial expressions, body language, and verbal tone changes), and if he does i doubt he'll be able to pinpoint the source, so tsukishima has to tell him to his face "i don't like when you say that" "i like when you do this"-- though, since it's still tsukishima, it would sound more like "i will bury you where no one will find you if you say that again" "i don't really mind when you do that so i guess i wouldn't care if you did it again" (the latter response could use some work but he's getting there!!)
it would also be cute if, alongside tsukishima's communication improvements, kageyama starts to get better at picking up on what certain motions, expressions, and verbal tone indicators mean from tsukishima specifically. he's kageyama, so when he gets interested in something, he wants to know everything there is about it, and i doubt people would be an exception to this.
i can imagine once his Interest In Tsukishima clicks in his brain, he starts staring at tsukishima all the time to observe him, and at first when tsukishima tells him to stop doing that kageyama just takes the phrase at face value and looks away, albeit with a huff reserved for annoying people(tsukishima and hinata). however the more he studies the more he realizes that certain "stop doing that"s are real and fake, like volleyball attacks, and that there are certain details to tell them apart: fake ones usually involve unbroken eye contact and relaxed arms and shoulders, while real ones have tsukishima averting his eyes at least once and a chance of tense shoulders and twitching hands. repeat for a whole variety of different subtle tells and kageyama becomes well-versed in tsukishima's language, even if sometimes he doesn't know how to translate new tells(cough tsukishima's big fat crush on him starting to show cough cough)
anyways they're so stupid and stupidly in love that they make each other a little less stupid <3
