I believe tendou and Ushijima relate in a way as kids because they didn’t have friends growing up as children. So in other words they become friends to make up for the past! (And then lovers)

There’s also a fic called His Starless Sky by MerrilyAround, and it’s Tsukishima/Kuroo/Akaashi/Bokuto. I recommend these three totally!!!

Tired of their complaints. Tired of their whingeing that ‘their love is unrequited’, that ‘it’ll be awkward’. Whether it’s the little shrimp from Karasuno or the setter who really should’ve gone to Shiratorizawa, almost everybody Tendou knows is in love with somebody who loves them back, and yet they do nothing about it but whine. He’s tired of it all, and he is going to do something about it. He has a plan. He’s going to gather every single one of them in one place. And then Tendou will use force.

ushiten fic where,,,, ushijima feels kinda shitty abt not understanding sarcasm (cause damn is my boy autistic as fuck) so he asks tendou to teach him how it works. and at first it all goes normal enough (tendou makes sarcastic jokes with him and explains whenever ushijima doesn't catch it) so ushijima gets slightly better at understanding sarcasm. but then tendou starts flirting with him and Ushijima's like "Ah. Hmm yes. This is The Sarcasm. I'm so good at this what the fuck" AND ITS SO CHAOTIC cause everyone sees tendou getting more and more straight forward each time and ushijima just laughs and feels proud that he's catching the sarcasm & tendou's just freaking out cause he doesn't even know what else to do to get that boy to see he's gay /srs and not /s

If I knew absolutely nothing about Haikyuu, and someone showed me these unedited stills with no context and then proceeded to tell me NONE of these pairs are romantically involved in any way in the show, I would deadass call them a liar to their face.

this one was on "rained on" by ChaseTheFearAway. the kudos to comment ratio infuriated me on this one. over 250 kudos, over 20 bookmarks, and 8- I repeat, 8 comments. and that's including responses and my own comment! a pity, because this is a marvelously descriptive, cute, and fluffy fic. pretty much what happens is that ushijima admires tendou and tells tendou he cares about him and takes care of tendou when he's sick and ushi is just so whipped, ok.
