anyone think Taylor ever cleaned her teeth with her bugs once? maybe she saw a snippet of a documentary about those dentist fish that other fish patiently line up and cause zero trouble in the area, a neutral zone if you will, while they wait for the dentist fish to clean their mouths of parasites and dead flesh and then she decided to try it (because she was inspired by the fish all co-operating together) and almost choked but then she locked in and went "this is easy as fuck. triumph is such a pussy. alexandria was probably faking. this is so normal. I can have as many bugs as I want in my mouth and I'm not gagging" and the other chicago wards never mention it ever because they value their lives.
you're absolutely right, I forgot about the literal security blanket a blanket of bugs would give Taylor. maybe she only has one or two bugs in her mouth and is just casually cleaning her teeth while sitting through a meeting, some kind of safety briefing about 'acceptable levels of violence' and she's asked to speak and she's having to deal with a massive dilemma over "do I open my mouth to speak and expose the bugs?" which she knows is at least a little weird, so she uses the swarm to talk and comes off as intimidating until Revel reminds her that she shouldn't do that, so she opens her mouth anyway and the bugs come crawling out and nobody comments on that at all because the horror is always worse than the mystery when it comes to Taylor.

Correct me if I'm wrong and it actually happened at some point in the text, but it would've been really funny if Weaver was talking to Shadow Stalker during GM and said some stuff about passengers/shards (in relation to Sophia's potential conflict drive canon/fanon theory stuff (I personally don't think it was more than a little 10% nudge compared to a victimized person in a racist city suddenly gaining powers and the Power to do something about it and becoming a vigilante)).
And Sophia pulls her up and goes "Huh? Where'd you find out about Passengers or whatever this is?" (she's not concerned about conflict drive rn)
And Taylor goes "Oh, while Bonesaw was opening my skull up."
HUH? What do you mean?!?! Bonesaw? Bonesaw?
Funnily enough this happens between Victoria and Taylor during Silence is Not Consent and there's an accompanying bit of fanart that was drawn about this situation.
But I would've loved it for Sophia to find out that little tidbit, ontop of all the other unhinged shit that was going on during GM, with Lung working in Weaver's personal squad, the Simurgh latching onto Tattletale.

It has been a very long time that I didn't have a tapestry project.
While re-visiting the Jean-Lurçat contemporary tapestry museum after several years yesterday, I took advantage of their free weaving frames and enjoyed quickly doing some exercises.
