“I don’ feel so well…” Whumpee slurred, head lolling to the side. “I don’t— the world… is tilting…”

“Shh, it’s okay,” Caretaker tried gently. “It’s gonna be okay, yeah? It seems, um… It seems you’ve been drugged, but don’t freak out— it’s likely nothing horrible. You just have to sleep it off.”

Whumpee’s eyes widened. “D-Drugged?”

“It’s nothing lethal. I know. We checked for that in your system, and it’s nothing lethal. I swear.”

Whumpee tried to wriggle out of Caretaker’s hold, but in their state, that was no small feat. They could barely lift their head. “We need to get it out… We need… We need to get it out…”

“It’ll clear out of your system naturally, don’t worry about it—”

“No!” Whumpee was filled to the brim with artificially induced paranoia and they weren’t backing down. “No, I need it out, now. Make me throw up. Do something.” 

“Whumpee, no.” Caretaker pushed them back down onto the bed, more firm this time. “It’ll be gone by the morning. Just rest.”

Whumpee closed their eyes, but it only served to make the dizziness worse. “I can’t do this all night… Please…” 

Caretaker caressed their cheek gently, shushing them. “I know. I know it’s bad. But it’s all gonna be okay — I’m gonna be here all night, looking after you. It’s gonna be okay.”

*sighs* I hate having to do this. But I'm at my wits end.

So. As many of you know, I disappeared last month without warning. That's due to me being hospitalized after a mental break due to my mom and her friends' harassment, both online and offline.

My father and I are planning on moving out, but since I was hospitalized, we're struggling not only with current bills, but also medical bills.

grumpy caretakers. specifically with sunshine whumpees. whumpee got kidnapped for an extended period of time- sometime over months- and comes back quiet. like, distinctly just changed, their eyes looking dead.

and maybe caretaker didn’t show it well, but whumpee had been their sunshine. throwing out smiles that caretaker swears could relight the sun, smiling and talking and always staying at their side no matter how many times caretaker tried to brush them off.

but now.. they’re just quiet. their eyes full and dead looking. and it throws caretaker off, massively. they aren’t used to the quiet, they aren’t used to not having whumpee around to fill the air. so they do. well- they try, awkwardly. they talk about anything and everything. things whumpee missed while they were away, shows and celebrity news and friend drama.

and whumpee finds such comfort in them, because they know that they’re safe with caretaker. caretaker doesn’t understand why- they’re a self proclaimed jackass, and they were never particularly caring before, although post-whump they’ve been trying desperately to be kind and gentle and soft in all the ways whumpee is because god damnit, they’ve been through enough. whumpee keeps coming back to caretaker, getting so close to them for reasons caretaker doesn’t understand. It’s not like they treated them particularly well before. whumpee goes to caretaker for comfort, and they don’t understand why. meanwhile, whumpee is staying with caretaker because it settles something instinctual and terrified in them to have someone like caretaker with them and trying to keep them safe.

All of Whumper’s victims are objects that serve a purpose.

One serves as a table, walking on hands and knees by Whumper so they can rest their feet or put a book on their back.

One is chained to a punching bag, the punching bag doesn’t crunch when you punch it so this whumpee does a better job.

One whumpee serves as a pet, with a leash and collar, soft beds and too-strong drugs to keep them loopy and needy.

One whumpee does the cleaning and another the cooking. If the cooking whumpee makes a mess, well then it’s just cleaning whumpee’s job to fix it. And cooking whumpee can’t exactly complain if all their tools are in different places.

And cleaning whumpee once told table whumpee that there was another in whumper’s bedroom, where cleaning whumpee was the only other one allowed to go in. The next day, whumper decided that they’d handle cleaning their own room, and cleaninf whumpee got to see what punching bag whumpee’s life was like.

Alrernatively: they switch roles every day, drawing a lottery to see who’s cleaning, cooking, tabling, being the pet, the punching bag, and Whumper’s ‘bedroom buddy’

Does Whumper have favorites for each role? Do they think whumpee A does the best lasagna and Whumpee B can carry the most weight on their back? Does the usual pet Whumpee get stressed when they have to perform other jobs, still shaky and out of it from the drugs?

And at night, do they all huddle together and listen to the sounds of tonight’s bedroom whumpee as they hope it’s not them tomorrow night?

Whumper is a therapist, and uses the therapy sessions to weed out potential whumpees they can kidnap, train/condition, and sell to other whumpers.

The conditioning starts during the therapy sessions, helping that angry whumpee channel through violence so they can become a living weapon.

The patient who feels like they’re not enough starts being told to have hookups and buy sexier clothes so they can become someone’s bedroom partner.

That patient who’s chronically stressed and burnt out is the easiest to condition, and gets sold as a pet fairly quickly.

Does anyone notice how all these missing people have the same therapist?

Do the whumpees ask to go back to their therapist? Do they continue to see their patients after they’re sold to help keep them conditioned?

How much is Whumper charging their patients? How much to they charge the other whumpers?
