AN: Death to Y/n (No y/n usage)
!Please Read!: Part One Part Two

Edited: feb. 29 2024
They say that the heart was made to be broken. It was stuffed down your throat in every bad poem you’d had read, in every story that never knew when enough was enough, it was a bitter pill that was overused. And yet, it had slowly started to make sense.
As you laid down in bed with Katsuki by your side, you could feel ice start to form over your heart. It was like frost over a window, and it took less than an hour for the cold to be all you could think of. Why am I so cold, when I used to burn for you?
You’d spoken to Fumikage again the night prior, and it was almost like your mouth became a faucet, and the droplets of words turned to a steady stream which couldn’t be shut off.
He had you inside one of his largely oversized sweatshirts, and you couldn’t have stopped yourself from leaning deeply into his heat.
“You’re so warm,” you’d whispered, leaning into his shirt-covered chest. It vibrated heartily as he chuckled. You’d gotten used to each other’s presence, and, while it had taken a long time, things were so comfortable the first names just seemed to flow. After all, how long can you stay acquaintances with someone you’ve shared a bed with?
“You know you’d be a lot warmer if you dressed for the weather,” he’d whispered; it hadn’t taken long for Tokoyami to figure out that his new midnight friend was shocked by loud noises. He had many theories as to why, but he never had enough evidence to feel comfortable asking you about them.
“Why would I do that if I have a personal furnace with me?”
“Hah! Sometimes I think that’s the only reason you keep me around,” he teased her rarely, but when he did it would catch you so off guard that you would have trouble getting serious again.
“No- I keep you around because you’re the only person I think I can really talk to,” you had looked up at the stars, oblivious to the stares he’d leveled on the back of your head.
If only he could tell you how he felt, he would cherish you like the muse he knew you truly were- he was so much better than the evil spirit you associated yourself with. But, for now, he would have to disguise his compliments as well as he could with friendship.
“You were breathtaking during your presentation today,”
“Oh! Uh- thank you, Fumi! That means a lot coming from you,” a smile had taken over your face, and it was as bright as the stars you oh-so admired.
Tokoyami loved it when you smiled. He brought his arms around both of your bodies, and he pressed them closer together, as he rested his forehead on the top of your head, leaning slightly to the side as to not hit you with his beak.
“Aww,” you cooed at him and nuzzled closer to his chest, “someone’s feeling awfully brazen tonight.”
“No, not brazen. Just cold,” He lied. He hated lying, but he couldn’t exactly tell you the truth now, could he? What would he say? ‘I know you’re in a relationship, but I think I’ve fallen so deeply in love with you that if you told me the sky was green, I’d believe you without a second thought, and I’m worried you don’t know how much power you hold over me,’
You would freak out, and he’d never be able to hold you again. You would stretch your wings and fly away, as you were already hovering just out of reach. He knew it was wrong, it’s immoral to covet another person’s treasures, but when they treat them like paper-weights, is it truly wrong to try and save them?
He kissed the top of your head, “You’re too good for anyone,”
“Are you anyone?”
“I don’t know, am I anyone to you?”
“This seems like a dangerous game,” you had sighed and turned around to face him. You knew that the moment you looked into his poisonous eyes you’d be hooked. His eyes wouldn’t let you go without a struggle.
“You’ve never been one to walk on the path of easy decisions and smooth pavement,” he challenged you, daring you- begging you to say something, anything to prove he stood a chance.
“I don’t know. I feel like I’m taking the easy route in almost anything I do nowadays,”
He grabbed your hands and held them in his own, “You’re hurting, it’s natural to shield yourself from anything that could harm you further,”
You were rarely left speechless, but with his intoxicating words and deadly eyes, it was hard to form a response worth saying.
“I’m starting to think you’re a bad influence,” You whispered, and you put your noses together.
“Believe me, that was never my attention,” he tilted his head lightly, and he was so close you could feel his breath on your lips; you were sure he felt the same.
You looked from his beak to his eyes. If he had lips you doubt you could have have been able to resist kissing him, but you was given the opportunity to second-guess yourself.
His crystal eyes shined through the clouds, like the beacon on the pier, they always seemed to beckon you closer. They dared you to sail towards them, it was almost like they held the secret to the world.
“I can’t kiss you, Fumi,” you whispered. You eyes had clenched shut, as you tried to stop the tears that were beginning to show themselves. You can’t do this, this isn’t you.
“Why not?” He asked, his heart was falling apart, and it felt like he was being burned.
“I can’t leave Katsuki, he’s done nothing wrong,”
“He’s done nothing right,” he interjected as soon as you finished talking. “You shouldn’t stay with someone who makes you doubt your worth,”
Your phone rang from inside you dorm. You ducked under his sweatshirt and sighed.
“That’s him, isn’t it?” He asked. He wasn’t mad, just very frustrated.
“I think…” You looked away from him, “You should go to your room.”
You left him on your balcony, and you answered your boyfriend. He watched as you shut the door, you didn’t lock it. Did she want me to ignore what she said and go in? Was this a test? Or did she really want me to leave?
“Dammit!” He huffed before going up to his room. Why did he have what he wanted, what he deserved? Bakugo couldn’t keep you, does he not see how sad you are with him? A real man would leave on his own.
That night, four people cried themselves to sleep. A prince who lost his princess before he even had the chance to pull out his sword, a storm that destroyed the peace-wrecking everything it touched, a lighthouse that only wanted to guide the lost back home, and a white dove that couldn’t stretch its wings- forever trapped in her cage.
——————————————–
Bakugo’s hand rested on your waist as he slept. You had been watching a movie before he passed out, and he was un-budging. It always shocked you, how he used to keep you so warm.
He would hold you in private, as soon as you had a moment alone he would squeeze you tight like he never wanted to let go. It was such a powerful hug, that it almost hurt to let go. You had loved those hugs.
Now there were no hugs, no stolen moments. Now he watched you freeze hogging all his warmth for himself.
Could it be… that he gives his warmth to somebody else? No- you can’t think like that, Bakugo’s not a heartless cheater. He’s not you after all.
But was it cheating? Was it wrong? When Bakugo destroys everything you has created, how can you not learn to lean on the eyes that watch over you?
A soft groan snatched your attention. You looked over to the blonde boy, and he seemed to be stirring in his sleep. You quickly relaxed your body and shut your eyes.
He peered through his eyelids and reached out, running his fingers up your hip and the side of her torso and back down following the natural bend.
“Babe, I’ve got to go,” he voice was so smooth, he was so close to having complete control over you, and he would never know.
You hummed in response and stretched reaching your arms up. “Do you have to?” It came out as a whisper, and it was so soft that Bakguo’s heart fluttered hearing it.
“It’s past curfew,” He responded, getting out of bed and grabbing his school bag and jacket, which had been tossed on the floor when they were prepping for the movie.
It’s now or never, girl! You’ll never get this chance again!
“Katsuki?” You called out, almost regretting it when you locked eyes with him.
“Hm? What?”
“I uhhhh,” Don’t lose your nerve, “I want to go on a date tomorrow!”
“Sure,” He offered, has he always been so casual?
“Really?” It was hard to hide the surprise and disbelief in your voice, but your not entirely sure what you were expecting.
“Yeah, of course. Why not?” He threw back, as he walked to the door. “Where do you want me to take you?”
“Somewhere sweet. I’d like to be able to hold your hand, so we could take the train across the region?”
“Anything for you. Goodnight babe, be ready by 6 tomorrow, I’ll see you then,”
“I’ll see you then,”
Once he had shut the door, you started squealing in delight. You ran through outfits in your head, and a bright smile never left your face. You can’t remember exactly how long it had been since he had been taken out on a date, but it had been way too long.
Rejecting the offers that other boys had given you wasn’t something you had anticipated- you’d never thought that highly about yourself.
However, you grew to realize that class 1A truly did care about you, or at least they acted like it. It was strange to think people seek out your company, but the knocks on your door became a constant in your life, you became used to people coming to talk to you late into the night.
You had grown accustomed to knocks on your door, but recently you haven’t been answering them. You’re not doing it consciously, but your late-night-chats with Tokoyami have taken you outside far more often, and you can’t hear the door from there.
With the memories of the night before still present in your mind, you went and stood outside. You were out there for five minutes, and you grabbed a hold of yourself once again. You hadn’t felt cold outside for a long time- Tokoyami always kept you warm.
Is he not coming? Did I ruin my chance to be near him? Can I even blame him for not wanting to be with me?
Though it might be harsh- as all things were when you were talking about yourself- you looked out to the stars, and you couldn’t pinpoint when things became so messed up; it was so sudden, or maybe it was just like that the whole time.
But one thing was different, Fumikage was different. He was always there for you, he would listen to you- keep you warm. He was so different than what you was used to, and you would be lying if she said that she didn’t love it.
He was so warm and so present. It never felt like he was shying away from you without reason, and you learned to bask in the light he shined on you, but there are two sides to every coin, and this was no exception. You could never get too used to him, because at the end of every day, you are with Bakugo, and the cycle continued.
You rested your head on your palm and sighed. Why couldn’t something go right? And just when all apparent hope was lost-
“You know if I’m going to have to stop spending time with you at night, you’re going to have to invest in a sweatshirt,”
And you couldn’t bring yourself not to smile. And Fumikage couldn’t bring himself to look at you.
“If you could have anything,” you whispered, “If the world was your oyster and you could do anything,” tears started to fill her eyes, “what would you do?”
He paused- the thought had never crossed Tokoyami’s mind. Why was she so strict in how she used her abilities?
“If every time you had said out loud ‘I wish-’ and whatever followed came true, how different would your life be?”
You had never been so serious with your words- and it caught him far off guard. Millions of thoughts ran through his head, and he couldn’t bring himself to say any of them.
“What is it that you wish, princess?” He finally approached you, grabbing your elbows and looking deep into your eyes.
“I can’t say it,”
“Why not?”
“Because,” your heart broke just a little more, “If I say it out loud, and it’s not already true- than I will have ruined one of the most important moments of my life,”
He paused and bit his tongue, “I hope my love is what you wish; because, you possess it completely,”
“I’m dating Bakugo,” you whispered soft enough that he almost didn’t hear it.
“And yet you love me,”
“Who could love a cheater?”
“We haven’t even performed the most innocent act of romance, how could you have been unfaithful?”
“Cheating with the heart will always hurt more than cheating with the body- I've betrayed more than our relationship I took advantage of his trust.”
“Than break up with him, so I won’t make a cheater out of you,”
“You say that like it’s easy,” and to him, it was the easiest thing- he loved you.
“It will be,”
“He loves me,”
“Then where is he?” Yes, it was a low-blow, and Tokoyami knew it. You had told him on many occasions that you wished her boyfriend would stand outside with her in the cold, but Bakugo thought it was stupid and a waste of time. He used to, he’d even met you on one of your sky-watching sessions. It hurt to think that he would use their past conversations against you, but where was he wrong?
“He’s probably asleep,”
“Then you should sleep, so that you may do one last thing as a couple before he loses the title,” The woman he was completely in love with just told him he has a chance, and he will never forgive himself if he ruins this.
“That’s harsh,”
“If love be harsh with you, be harsh with love,”
“Did you just misquote Shakespeare at me?” You couldn’t stifle the small laugh that escaped your lips. Fumikage always had a way to make you smile at the most peculiar of times, and trust him to throw the charged tension for a loop.
“Perhaps I did,” He teased you lightly, and shook his head.
“If I broke up with him, if tomorrow night I was out here by myself, and every other night from now to eternity, would you keep your warmth for yourself? Would you get sick of me? I’m so fucked up, I don’t even know what a secure attachment style is. How long am I going to hurt like this?”
Tears had regathered in your eyes, and your lips had fallen to quiver. Your body shook, and it would never be known if it was from the cold in the air or the cold in your heart.
“Quote the raven,”
“Hah,” you wiped your tears with the palms of your hands, “You read poetry?”
“Only the good kind,” he thought back, and he knew their first encounter like the back of his hand. Had your lips been as prominent back then as they did now? Were you crying then too?
Your eyes flickered between his crimson eyes, as you searched for a sign, anything that told you that he wanted this too. He stepped closer, and his breath hitched. Was this finally happening?
They were an inch away from each other, and you drew your lip between your teeth, as Fumikage put his forehead on yours.
He murmured your name.
You hummed in acknowledgment, and you locked eyes.
“I love you,” he took a breath in before lacing his fingers into your hair, and he pulled you a little closer, and you kissed. Your shared heat shielded you from the painful cold that was biting at your skin. Time seemed to stop as you basked in each other’s warmth.
Even as his eyes were closed, your crimson lighthouse had finally done their job, you were home. You were hidden by the dark as night cloaked the world. And, in your own little bubble, you missed your ringing phone. And, in their own little bubble, you never heard the storm knocking on your door.
And so, as the clouds give way and the thunder travels further and further away, the ship had managed its way to the lighthouse. And the princess had been freed from her tower while the prince laid in bed, broken and alone. And the pretty little dove was saved by a raven, and together they spread their wings and flew away.
And, with all things considered, can you really blame a person for getting involved, if it was love? Even if they knew someone could get hurt? Even if the dove is already in a cage, is it really so wrong to want to fly alongside her?
You held Tokoyami close that night, and you stayed together until early morning. Until the birds began to chirp and the owls had fallen asleep, and you finally realized that being in a relationship doesn’t have to hurt to be real.

I hope you all enjoyed this three-part series! It took a while to finish, but I am overjoyed with the support you all have shown it!

Doesn’t Hurt
bnha Warnings: Light Angst, emotionally abusive relationship Bakugo and Y/N have been dating for three months, and y/n is completely devoted to her boyfriend, but it’s difficult to keep a healthy relationship with someone who only yells at her in public. Y/n’s the sweetheart of 1A, so it comes to no surprise that she gets along with everyone. But, all good things must come to end, and people can only give so much without getting anything in return.
Part 2 is out!

Y/N smiled as she walked into class 1A, and she was quickly greeted by her cheerful friends who came rushing to meet her halfway.
“Morning y/n!” Uraraka said, a cheerful smile lighting up her face as her eyes closed.
“Morning l/n,” Iida greeted, no matter how hard she tried, she could never get him to call her by her first name.
“Good Morning Uraraka! Morning Iida, and Morning Izu!” Y/N smiled at them all, as they migrated to her seat. Izuku smiled and greeted her back seconds before the bell rang. She hadn’t had the chance to talk to Katsuki, and Y/N knew he wasn’t gonna be too happy.
---------
By the time lunch came around, everyone was famished. People raced to the cafeteria, but y/n was always one of the last people to leave the classroom, as she slowly packed up all of her belongings. Though her classmates left their pens on their desks, she preferred to pack the multi-colored writing utensils into her pencil-pouch before leaving.
A loud huff came from above her, causing her to look up out of pure confusion. “Katsu? What’s up, I was gonna meet you at our table,” she explained as she grabbed her phone and her packed lunch.
Katsuki looked around the class, and he saw two or three other people. He turned back with a glare and all but spat at her, saying “You’re so slow, you’re not good at anything. Hurry up so we can get to lunch, your locker is gonna slow us down even longer,”
Y/n nodded in understanding and smiled at him saying, “Why don’t you go ahead of me? I’ll be right behind you after I go to my locker, don’t want you to get stuck with a cold lunch!” She smiled sweetly at her boyfriend.
He smiled back at her after making sure none of the classmates could see his face. He left the room, leaving y/n with Iida, Yaoyorozu, Izuku, and Kirishima. Y/n and Izuku grew up together, and she quickly became friends with Iida by the third day of school, and Kirishima was the only other person Bakugo would willingly inconvenience himself for.
She was just about to leave the room when Yaoyorozu stopped her. “Hey L/N, why do you let Bakugo treat you like that? I can’t believe you guys are dating when he treats you so awfully!”
Y/N was well aware that her friends were just concerned about her, but she didn’t worry. “Katsu treats me perfectly Momo,” Y/n smiled, “he’s just embarrassed to be affectionate in public, so people don’t see the sweet side of him that I do!”
The others knew that they wouldn’t be able to do anything without y/n telling them she wants to break up with him, so they bit their tongues. No matter how much they disliked it, they were just going to have to let her make this mistake for herself.
------
“Hey Deku, you grew up with (Y/N), right?” Uraraka asked, leaning over their lunch table.
“Yeah, I did! Why do you ask?” He smiled brightly at the memories but tilted his head in question.
“That's right! Midoriya would know more about Bakugo and (L/N) than anyone!” Iida shouted, obviously very excited about this ‘discovery’.
“I mean, I-I guess I know Ka-chan pretty well, and me and (Y/N/N) did spend the majority of our lives living next door to each other. Why is that important now though?”
“Well, it’s just...” Uraraka scratched the back of her neck and looked away, “I was just wondering if Bakugo actually does treat her right? She’s just so sweet, and I only ever hear Bakugo yelling at her... Is that normal?”
Midoriya thought back to when they were children, back before any of them had quirks. There was never an obvious hierarchy in the group until quirks were added, so they all loved to hang out with each other. Y/N and Midoriya often spent the night at each other's houses, and Bakugo would- more likely than not- join in with no convincing.
Back then, Bakugo was a lot nicer. He didn’t pick on anyone, and they all got along really nicely. Y/N received her quirk first. It wasn’t originally what she thought it was. When she first showed her quirk, everyone thought it was a creation quirk, as she could make any object she wanted to appear before her, even though it would disappear moments later back then.
Then, after she sent everyone into a heart attack when she turned her skin a light pink and had angel wings, the quickly corrected it, describing it as the ability to make her fantasies a reality. It was a very powerful quirk, and no one knew her limit when they were so young.
Everyone at school was impressed by her, which caused their little three-person group to gain plenty of attention, much to everyone's dismay- minus Bakugo. And then Bakugo got his quirk, which people were also impressed with. This left Izuku, the runt of the litter, with the expectations of everyone in the class to dazzle them with his quirk.
That didn’t happen until high school, but it never really bothered him. Y/N didn’t change at all when she got her quirk, but Bakugo was always easily prideful.
Izuku remembered when they first started dating. It wasn’t much of an adjustment for him, they had always been this close, but now Ka-chan had a real reason to be possessive over their mutual friend- but that never stopped them from having sleepovers!
He can’t remember a time where he was affectionate in public per se, but he has seen them in the comfort of their homes, so he knows that they really do care for each other.
“I wouldn’t worry Uraraka-chan! They really do like each other, and Bakugo’s a lot nicer when she’s around!”
His friend was less than convinces, but she mumbled an okay, and she went back to eating.
“Why do you care so much about their relationship?” Shoto asked, putting down his chopsticks.
“It’s just-” she huffed and tidied up her eating space, “I hate seeing how he treats Y/n-chan! She’s the nicest person I’ve ever met, and he doesn’t respect her!”
A soft silence spread around the table, as they all realized how weird the two really were with each other. Was it abusive if it didn’t mean anything to her? Could this even be classified as an abusive relationship? Had they ever talked about how his words affected her? Did they? They all had so many questions, but they knew it was unlikely for them to get any answers unless the pair broke up, and a heartbroken Bakguo could break their bones, while a heart0broken Y/N would break their hearts.
------
It wasn’t the first time y/n had heard of people's concerns or their questions. She was used to the stairs, she was used to Bakugo's personality, she was used to the questions they asked her- but she would never be used to people's looks of pity as they talked about her behind her back.
It crushed her spirits that they would ever get better. Y/N often wondered if Bakugo would get more comfortable with the thought of them being together in public, but they were in high school now, and it did hurt that she couldn’t even hold his hand in front of a stranger in the halls, or on the street where no one was looking.
It hurt that he only spoke to her in harch tones and pointed words, and it definitely bruised her ego when he would insult her over everything she did. She knew it wasn’t personal, he grew up in a loud household where this was normal, and she grew alongside him. She knew it shouldn’t bother her as much as its dose because she knows he doesn’t mean it. But then, why does it feel like she just swallowed a large pill that was sitting in the base of her neck, resilient and unwilling to move.
Her face had fallen after she was alone in the hallway. She knew Bakugo would come looking for her if she took to long, he honestly does worry. That’s why she doesn’t have the heart to break it off- because they love each other.
She took a deep breath in, and she practiced her smile before re-entering the cafeteria. She smiled at her classmates as she passed their lunch tables, and she waved to those who called out to her.
She finally made it to Bakugo’s table, and she took her spot between Kirishima and Bakugo, where she greeted everyone. Katsuki enveloped her into his side as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder, obviously, he sensed something was upsetting her. He knew better than to question her about it in public, she was a very private person, or so he led himself to believe.
She was silently hoping he would voice his opinions, that he would show the table that he noticed she was upset- she knew he saw her sadness, so why not fix it? That though pooled in her stomach when Bakugo felt the need to release her, feeling like he was holding her for too long. It was like a twist to the knife.
-------
Lunch had flown by, and so had classes. English with Mr. Yamada was finishing up, and y/n was thinking about Bakugo. Even after lunch, he only spoke to her in snarky remarks that hid their true meaning, he didn’t ask for her opinion, but he did voice what he thought she would think.
The class all noticed Y/n’s not-smile, and it was a safe bet that they all flinched when they saw. Y/n was all on her own for the last half of the day, until the final bell rang.
Bakugo had once again ‘left her to fend for herself’ while he was really standing right outside of the class pretending to be distracted by his phone. He felt the abundance of glares being sent his way, it made him feel wrong- almost dirty. He stood there until there were only around five people in the class, including the teacher who was also paying close attention to the only conversation happening in the room.
“Y/N-chan, you know we only want to help, right?” Yaoyaroza asked, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder.
“I know Momo-chan, but there really isn’t a problem!” Y/N smiled brightly, more like she was trying to convince herself more so than the others.
Uraraka sighed and opened her mouth, “You really shouldn’t have to put up with that!”
Tsu was quick to agree, as she added on with “What he’s saying must hurt! I know if it were me he was saying those things to it would tear me down more and more!”
“Like he was stabbing the same wound repeatedly,” Jiro continued while nodding in understanding.
“It must bother you, right Y/n-san?” Toru added, speaking up for the first time.
Y/N stood up with them, and she put her backpack over her arms. She smiled as bright as she could, even though her glands had betrayed her and she started to cry.
“Thank you all for worrying!” Her voice broke as she talked, and she was enveloped in a cold bitter-truth, like Bakugo’s arms. “I know it must bother you to hear him yelling all the time, and I’ll see what I can do to make him lower the volume, but you all really need to stop worrying about me,” she reassured, rubbing Uraraka’s arm as she started to walk towards the door.
Maybe if she told herself that enough times, she might end up believing it, and it might become the truth. She turned around with that painfull smile, and with tears in her closed eyes she told them one last lie, “It really doesn’t hurt!”
ah hi anon who just said how impeccable Doesn’t Hurt was here I forgot to mention that a part 3 would probably make me cry the happiest tears it’s just that good, don’t stress yourself over it though if you can’t it’s A-OK, I just know it would be so good 💛

Toga was far from an ideal friend. She was clingy and rude, she talked too much and she cared primarily about herself. She was weird and difficult to get understand, and you never really knew where she stood. She wasn’t perfect, but having her was a blessing in disguise.
“Y/n, we’re heading out, are you ready?” While she wasn’t perfect, she was pretty close to it. Himiko had a strange way with words, and she could always make the world feel smaller than it was. Her voice was like warm honey on a spoon; hazy caramel color and sweet, perfect for recovery.
“I’m ready, thanks for grabbing me,” Y/n wasn’t close to anyone. It was hard to get attached when the overwhelming threat of having friends ripped away from her grasp constantly loomed over her. She kept her distance, but it was hard not to get sucked into being friends with the blonde.
“Of course!” Her bright smile feels like it should be un-nerving, it holds malice and hatred, it’s the smile of a girl who has been rejected her entire life- but it almost makes others smile back. And so, Y/n’s face was covered with the rare grin; which had become scarce.
“It really isn’t that big a deal, but Shigarki is getting trigger-happy. We should hurry, I’m pretty sure Dabi will set his hands on fire if we don’t leave soon!” Her voice dripped sugar, and Y/n found herself hurrying. She put her phone into her side pocket, and she secured her outfit.
The pair walked out of Y/n’s assigned room, and they made their way to the group scattered around the bar. “I thought you all were ready? Let’s get a move on!” Y/n said, there was an unusual lightness to her tone.
The group had started to pass through the given portals Kurogiri had made for them, and one by one they stepped through. In the end, only Dabi and Y/n were left standing with the tall void-like man.
“Hey,” the gruff man had grabbed a hold of Y/n’s y/s/c arm, and he had lightly pulled it back.
“What’s the deal, Dabi?” She asked, not rudely, but he could tell she didn’t appreciate the physical contact. They were far from close. When Y/n woke up, Dabi could tell something was off about her. Not wrong necessarily, she just had a very unique vibe that he felt was oddly familiar.
“It’s just...” he sighed and shook his head, “Nevermind. It doesn’t matter.”
Whatever it was that Dabi was going to tell her obviously didn’t matter that much, so she shook it off and went through the portal.
“You feel it too, don’t you?” Kurogiri looked him in the eyes with a knowing gleam in his eyes.
Dabi nodded and walked through the portal- it would be cruel to tell her- he decided as soon as he saw her laughing with Toga. She has no memory of it, and she just recently started to act like herself again, why would I ruin that for her?
Amnesia was a tricky situation for anyone to deal with. It was dangerous to the person suffering from it, due to how trusting and gullible they become- but it is significantly worse for those of them who have their memories of the victim intact.
Dabi was one of those lucky people- so is the majority of the other people on the team. They can all think back to at least one memory of the spunky girl they have grown to care for. She was always so strong, yet somehow she was always overshadowed by her over-zealous classmates. Those stars that tried to outshine her magnificence- Dabi could only hope they would burn out soon.
He had been one of the first to meet the girl, and boy was she hard to forget. If her physical appearance didn’t grab his attention- her striking y/e/c eyes and flawless y/h/c hair- her quirk definitely did.
GateKeeper was a well-known up-and-coming hero and student at UA’s school for future hero’s, she was the receiver of the most interning opportunities, and she was respected by almost everyone. Named after her quirk, GateKeeper- or rather, Y/N, is able to access the gates between different planes.
She can visit the gates of hell, she can see the holy light of heaven, she can see the Mormon’s different kingdoms and the fields of Aaru. She can walk along the banks of river Styx with those about to be reincarnated.
She can see spirits or those who have passed, and she can comfort those who have lost love ones. With this power, she has been given the ability to have the power of those who have died where she is standing. She can call on the remaining spirits to help her, and she has the power to reap souls.
Dabi had spent countless hours thinking about the girl who froze him in place- she showed him his worst fear and didn’t bat an eye. She was fierce and protective of all the other students, she stood in front of them and, with her small undead army of soldiers who could never move on, defended them till her last breath. If only she had died.
The fight hadn't lasted long, the pros took out most of the b-tier criminals, and the students were fighting here and there. With All-might out of the picture, it was anyone's guess how the fight would go.
Who would have thought that a single girl who wipe the floor with them? Ahh yes, in a flash of light she managed to subdue the vast majority of the villains, if only she hadn’t lost consciousness- then maybe she wouldn’t have been snatched away so easily.

It was hard to believe that Iida would skip school. For the first handful of days after the attack, he dragged himself to his classes- half-conscious and unwilling to be aware of his surroundings.
Eventually having to push himself to get out of his bed- let alone go to school- grew too much for him. He settled with walking to the canteen when everyone else was out to get food before going back to his room.
He was never one for dramatics, but Iida knew there was nothing he could do. He had failed her, the love of his life slipped through his fingers- never to be seen again.
Day after day he listened to a voicemail left months before the incident- he was never happier for his phone to be dead than when he knew he could hear her talk to him again.
And while Iida had his outlet for his sadness, his classmates were going more and more concerned with every passing minute.
Midoriya would double take when he heard her voice through his wall, and, silently, he would press his ear against it just so he could make-believe she was still with them.
“Hey, Tenya! I guess you’re busy huh? Haha! It’s so weird to talk to your voicemail- I’ve never had to before. Well, I miss you! Remember that just because it’s Christmas and I’m not with you doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to celebrate with your other friends!
I just want to remind you how much I love you! You are such a great boyfriend, and I’m glad that you’re mine. I was planing on FaceTiming you while we have Christmas dinner, but since I can’t I guess this will have to do~
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight
We're happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland
Gone away is the bluebird
Here to stay is a new bird
To sing a love song
While we stroll along
Walking in a winter wonderland
In the meadow, we can build a snowman
We'll pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say, are you married?
We'll say, no man
But you can do the job when you're in town
Later on, we'll conspire
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid
The plans that we've made,
Walking in a winter wonderland”
She cleared her throat and laughed a little, “That was really awkward, but I hope you’ll accept my mini Christmas gift! I’ll wait to open the one you got me until I’m with you again. I love you Tenya, merry Christmas!”
Once again, the shrill ring of an ended voicemail echoed through his room. Wiping away a stray tear- Iida sat down at his desk.
Everything had been going so perfect, everything was going exactly to plan. His brother had been in recovery, they had been going smoothly, classes had finally declared winter-break, and then... everything fell apart. The storm had been brewing, and brewing, and then it came- and then it destroyed everything in its wake.
It’s hard to accept a loss that you didn’t see happen. He didn’t get the goodbye, or the I’ll never let go. There was no body to hold on to, no one in the casket which was lowered to the ground. Nothing to show that his lover was gone- only the empty dorm room and phone number that gave no answer.
The school had opened it’s doors during winter break for all the students and parents to come. Some of her closest friends only ever saw her in the hallow walls of UA, and now they didn’t have the chance to see her anywhere else.
There was really no good way to deal with it. ‘It’. Iida despised that word now- ‘it’ was the only way people described the death of his girlfriend. As if death was a taboo word, ‘it’ was all people talked about and yet their words meant nothing.
Tenya was doing his best- fighting every single fucking day at a time. He hated what he had turned into. He hated the state of being that he devolved to be. Every trait she adored about her boyfriend diapered. Failing to go to class and snapping at those that came close enough to bother him. He had always gotten cold when faced with misery, resolved and retreated in himself- he had never seen himself as someone who would take up smoking to feel better.
Weed always seemed so far beneath him, it felt like something nothings did to feel better about themselves instead of working hard at bettering themselves, but now even Denki wasn’t eager to help him. Last time he visited the blonds room Kaminari rejected him, saying that he wasn’t getting high in the right way and that he was worried Iida would become a drug abuser with how things were turning up.
Tenya hated himself more that night. He hated himself and he hated everyone else. He hated Uraraka, who coped with baking Y/n’s favorite cookies and eating them to the movie they would watch during their own girl’s night.
He hated Momo too, she still got straight A’s and seemed to be just fine- pretending like we didn’t hear her obnoxious sobs at two am. He hated Mina too- she had no place wearing Y/n’s hoodie to school everyday. It was a shitty thing to do.
He’s pissed at Deku as well- Midoriya the hypocrite. Knocks on his door every day with his missed classwork and with his judgement, pressuring him to leave his room. Everyone knows his grade’s have gone down since her death so who is he to talk about attending class.
He hates Bakugo, who only ever yelled at her even when she joked around with him- who’s words she laughed at but really made her drown in her insecurities when she was suppose to be secure in her boyfriends arms. Fuck Bakugo, for glaring at her empty seat next to him like he didn’t openly mock her when she got a grade lower than him. Fuck him for screaming at 3am and breaking the school punching bags. Fuck him for feeling bad after hurting her. Fuck him for being her friend. Fuck him for giving a shit. Fuck everyone.
-----------------------
Aizawa sighed once he sat at his desk. Classes would start in half and hour and he was still crying. His silent tears burned down his cheek and all he could fell was the raw aching in his throat and the headache that felt like it was killing him slowly.
He saw it then. In that classroom starring at her desk, he can see it happening.
The cold breeze had moved his hair into his face, giving the villain a second outside of his hold. One second- yet it was long enough for him to disappear into the ground.
“Dammit,” he hissed, looking around him.
He heared Mic’s screech at a crowed of them on his left, and the majority of his students stood tall on his right. Everything was chaotic, but a Nomu appeared from the forest line everything exploded.
He felt a familiar chill crawl over his skin, signifying Y/n using one of her ultimate moves ‘Fallen Heros’. AS what looked like hundreds of dead warriors of different generation’s rose from the ground- some in modern military uniform and others in ancient armor- and surrounded the giant Nomu.
More appeared- in uniquely them outfits. They were the dead pro-heroes, the ones who passed during a fight they’ll never get to finish. The ones who either dine at Valhalla or will never be at peace after failing.
A woman with black hair flew as she fought- with more ease than the others that were in spirit form. It was safe to assume that this was her quirk. The other that sent momentary shock waves through the gathering was Sir Nighteye, who waisited no time wiping out the waves of villains.
Aizawa took notice of Y/n’s body floating in mid-air. The cost of her quirk- she had to keep note of all those she called upon. If one of the fallen are out of her sight for too long her body replicates what the dead’s went through, and she would eventually die from the injury.
The dead soldiers ended the battle very suddenly, and, as their spirits returned to the afterlife, a large explosion of dust swallowed the crowed.
Once they could all see, and the hectic environment calmed, Iida’s voice cut through the air. He was screaming as loud as he could, frantically running around the field of people.
“Y/n!” He had shouted, his voice becoming horse. “Y/n!” Everyone became deathly pale and still as the horror of realization came upon them. She was gone.
“Y/l/n?” Aizawa had shouted, starting the shove peoples shoulders to get to where she was.
“Y/l/n now is NOT the time to play games!” He had hopefully prayed. His face fell along with his voice as he made it to where she had been floating. A scorched square of land had taken her place.
His mind tried to go back and see the rose dead she had summoned, he looked frantically for a scorched soldiers face, but he couldn't find one. Even then it wasn’t hard to guess at what had happened.
No one near her had heard her screams, but with the noise coming from everyone in the dust storm, it would be unlikely that they would have been heard whether she screamed or not.
He was right there. He saw her. He was less than three yards away. How did he let this happen?
He remembers looking around for a corpse of a soldier, but he wondered if, with Y/n dead, they would be able to live anyway.
He pinched the bridge of his noes, wiping away the pools of tears from his stinging eyes. Rubbing them with his palm, his vision blurs when he looks up. Yet, even with the lines blurring, what he sees is unmistakable.
“Y/n?” He asked, seeing her figure sit on the top of her desk.
“Calling a student by their first name,” she teased lightly, “how unprofessional,”
“Are you...” he stopped and starred at her, “Are you really here? Is this a part of your quirk?”
“C’mon Eraserhead, like I would know. If you’re right then you’re right. If you’re wrong then I’m just a fixation of your brain and I wouldn’t know it,” She tried to reason, hopping off of her desk.
“Damn... you’re right. I’m going batshit crazy,” he sighed, closing his eyes again.
“So,” Y/n smirked, walking up to his desk and bending over, placing her hands on her locked knees, “Wanna talk about why you’re fantasizing about your dead, female, super fucking hot, student?”
He groaned out annoyed and clawed at his eyes, “Why the fuck is that happening? I hate that, I hate this, cut this shit out!” He shouted, pushing his hand into his covered corneas.
“What shit out?” Hizashi asked, stepping into his classroom.
“Nothing Mic, just overthinking,” he responded, slamming his eyes open looking for his student.
“Alright Shouta, just remember that I’m across the hall if you ever need to talk,”
Sighing once he noticed Y/n had vanished, he wondered if this was confirmation that he was hallucinating. Needless to say, Y/n definitely responded to her situation exactly how he would expect her to when she figured out her action’s had no consequence- like a little shit who needs to be put into detention.
God, even thinking that last sentence made Aizawa feel dirty. He’ll definitely need to scrub his skin red after that.
---------------------------------------
Breakfasts in the mornings have changed a lot since school opened back up. Y/n was always made a plate of food and a drink every morning, it varied in who made it every couple days. No one vocalized what the food at her usual spot on the couch meant, but it was an unspoken rule that it would stay undisturbed.
No one was entirely sure who cleaned it up when they were in class. They were pretty sure it wasn’t Iida, the seat was clear even when he was in class with them.
Everyone missed her voice in the mornings. Whether she was complaining about late nights (to which Denki or Mina would yell get some in her direction after) or she was cracking jokes to help wake everyone up, her voice still rung in the air leaving a hole of silence where it once was.
People’s sentences often drifted off half way through as their eyes caught themselves on her corner seat, where she once curled up into half a ball as she placed her plate of breakfast on top of a throw pillow.
As people would shuffle off to class, everyone would throw a look over their shoulder and give a moment of their time to the friend they would never get to see again.
---------------------------------------------
Taking one more look at the lock-screen of a phone she couldn’t unlock, she wondered who it was on her screen. A boy with strikingly unique features had white ice cream smeared from his noes down to his lips, and a small smirk was percent on his face. Lights from a Ferris Wheel and fairy lights lit up the dark night sky behind him, and what looked like her knuckles were in front of the camera, showing their interlocked fingers.
It was a cute photo, but it was so foreign to her it made Y/n wonder if the phone was even hers. She sighed after staring at the keypad, asking for her password. The face id had been disabled after it shut off, and all she could do was hope she would remember what is was.
“You okay?” Toga asked, placing a hand on Y/n’s shoulder.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” she responded, taking in the forest clearing Toga had taken her off to, splitting off from the rest of the group. “What are we doing here Himiko?”
“The other members want to know how much control you still have over your quirk. They thought I would be the best person for you t be around when we do this,” She explained, a soft smile on her face as she explained.
“Huh,” Y/n had a few thoughts running around in her mind, “Shigiraki didn’t want you to tell me did he?”
“Yeah, how’d you know?” She teased, a wide smile on her face.
“I dunno... it felt like someone whispered it in my ear, if that makes sense?”
“Who knows, that could be one of the parts of your quirk,”
“What exactly is my quirk?” She asked, glaring at one of the birds near them who had grown to be too loud.
“It’s kinda hard to explain. The easiest way that I know how to explain it is that you’ve got a strong connection to the dead. You can talk to them, visit them I think, and most importantly you can summon them to fight for you,”
“Fight for me?” Y/n echoed. She wasn’t quiet sure why, but that phrasing felt weird... it almost felt off...
“Yup!” Himiko cheered, bouncing slightly.
“Alright,” Y/n sighed, shaking her arms, “Let’s give this shit a try,” she declared, moving her arms slowly from beneath her hips, struggling to get them above her waist.
In front of her, a muddy figure rose from the ground, it’s shoulders cracking as it took a deep breath of clean, fresh, air.
For The Night (my forever)
T. Shoto x Reader B. Katsuki x Reader
Warnings: Cheating -Maybe it was the hazy room, or maybe it was the fact that he was at home waiting for her to come crawling back to him. Anything could have caused her to make this decision, this lapse of judgment- but he, who had loved her since freshman year, has never been happier.

The room was filled with a haze of light and bodies moving together. The music bounced off the walls, but, to her, it all seemed muffled. Some would say she had too much to drink, but Y/n wasn’t pessimistic like that- she liked to think that she was just giving the bartender more opportunities for money.
Drink after drink and dance after dance, she grew more and more numb to the pain, and eventually, she forgot why she was there in the first place. She shook her head as if that erased the thought from her head, and hundreds of strangers welcomed Y/n back onto the dancefloor.
Their touch felt so foreign, it felt almost wrong, but that’s what she’s trying to fix- the whole point of her going out was to feel good by herself. She wanted people to see her, she wanted them to notice her- but then why did the hands that were on her waist feel more like sludge than fun?
They were rough with her, keeping her tightly in place while they danced. The man that had chosen her as his temporary dance partner was obviously used to taking the lead. That must be why it’s so different.
---
“Y/n? Babe?” Her blond boyfriend awkwardly stood next to the food table at the school dance. He didn’t dance, and he was obviously out of his comfort zone- but he did it for her.
“You look so cute, Katsu,” She teased him lightly, and a smile spread wide on her face.
“Sh-shut up!” He blushed lightly and looked away with a glare.
“Sorry Katsuki, here,” she reached her hand out to him, “dance with me.”
“I don’t dance,”
“You do tonight,”
Y/n grabbed a hold of his hand and led him slightly away from the ongoing party. She brought him outside the cafeteria doors, and she wrapped her hands around his neck. After about five seconds of him doing nothing, she huffed and put his hands on her waist.
He complied, but she had to be the one to start swaying back and forth. She hummed softly to the faint music, and her head rested on his shoulder. That was one of the highlights in their relationship, and little did she know someone was watching- completely heartbroken and falling apart.
---
“Y/n?” A deep voice had reached her ears, and her y/e/c eyes slammed open at her name with a new sense of fear taking over.
She looked around quickly before seeing Todoroki standing a little away from her. She walked away from the people surrounding her, and she smiled up at her hot-n-cold friend.
A smile had made its way to Todoroki’s face when he saw her visibly relax when she saw it was him calling out to her. Why does she make my heart feel so warm?
“What’re you doing here?” It was hard to imagine Y/n here, in this dirty and over-filled club known for the drugs that coursed through its veins.
“Well honestly,” She twiddled her thumbs and looked down, “I didn’t think anyone I cared about would find me here, and there are some people I’m trying to stay away from.”
Todoroki nodded and looked her up and down. Y/n’s once smooth eyeliner had smudged and her tight dress was slightly twisted at the waist. Her ponytail had gained bumps and her ankles were rubbed raw from the strap of her heels. She looked tired, but more importantly, she looked uncomfortable.
Her elbows had small scratches from her nails- a nervous habit she had even in their UA days. Her shoulders shifted as she moved her weight from side to side, and her eyes locked with his, as she tried to focus only on her friend that stood in front of her.
“Do you want me to take you home?”
She bit her lip, and the soft red lipstick was transferred to her teeth as concern washed over her. “He’s waiting for me, I can feel it,”
“Then...” Shoto looked at his feet before bashfully looking up, “How about you come home with me?”
---
The rain hit the top of his car, as they drove to Todoroki’s apartment. Music was playing, but to y/n it seemed as if it was muffled two rooms away from where she was, even though the radio was in front of her.
She felt electricity run up her arms as she looked over at the boy who had decided to take in the stray. Had he always been so cute?
Y/n blushed and looked away, though her hand had fallen on the console between their seats with her palm up. A small gasp escaped her lips once Todoroki linked their hands together.
A feeling was shared between those two heroes that night. As one looked at the other and quickly looked away, and as their touches were fleeting but longing, they had a shared thought.
Tonight, just for one night of their lives, they would fall in love. An entire love-story in three hours, just so they could know what could have been, what they had chosen another course over.
“Y/n?” Todoroki led her into his living room, his hair hung loosely by his eyes as he looked up at her.
“Mmhmm?”
“If tomorrow,” he grabbed one of her hands, “you leave my arms to go back to him, if I never get to see you again and live knowing you’re getting these things from someone else, then I need you to be mine for the night,” he was illuminated by the fire he had burning behind him, making him appear devilishly handsome and all too alluring.
“For the night,” Y/n looked at his eyes, down to his lips, and back up again.
“Just for the night,” he stepped closer and grabbed her by the waist, “all mine.”
Y/n wrapped her legs around his waist, melting into his kiss and returning his fiery passion. It wasn’t the kind of kiss you see in movies, it was the bruised-lips wanted-for-years kinda kiss that hurt your teeth, but the ache felt so good.
And for the night, Todoroki had what he always wanted. But morning came, and Y/n went.
