I just love crying on a Monday

Izuku, but angst + you die during the war arc :((

he never got to tell you he loved you.

maybe it’s trivial, how this keeps him up at night. considering everything that him and his classmates had been through over the past few months, he should feel relieved that finally- he can have a safe nights sleep.

but the burn of regret in his stomach is too much- it’s overwhelming- suffocating.

everyone feels it- the weight of your passing, the space you left empty, but izuku especially. your close relationship was something your classmates were aware of- their words of condolence and comfort are constant.

he can see the look in peoples eyes when your mentioned, how the room goes silent and heads turn to him. he wishes it would all just stop.

the publicity of your death haunts him- the live recording of your final moments played on repeat as he struggles to sleep. he watches as you take your final blow, the fight in you still there until the very end. before he watches as the colour drains from your face- the light lost in your eyes.

he never got to tell you he loved you.

he hopes that you knew- even if he hadn’t said it explicitly. you had to have known, surely. maybe he only convinces himself that to keep himself sane.

he misses everything about you- your voice, your laugh, your smile. not a day goes by that he doesn’t mourn your passing.

your grave is never empty of flowers, he makes sure of it. even if he struggles to go himself at first. he gets bakugo to drop them off at your grave on his runs before he builds up the courage to visit you.

when he does eventually visit you he’s a mess, his friends a couple meters behind him as he reads your name in the stone for the first time.

it’s as though it all breaks at once- unable to hold himself up he falls to his knees, hands gripping the material covering his thighs as he chokes back a sob.

it’s weeks after your death when izuku finally visits your grave, it’s then when it really hits him. the true weight of your last breath falls heavy onto his shoulders— your never coming back.

and you never knew that he loved you.

Title: I've Changed, Won't You See?

your eyes were always blurry around him it seemed. your hands shaking as your voice cracked, just begging him. "please leave me alone!" with all the might a five year old could muster.

they scoffed at you, they always did. "crybaby. blame your parents for not giving you a quirk. you should've moved when i told you to anyways, it's my park dont you know?" katsuki mocked, moving closer to you, noticing the card behind your back.

"stop being so mean! quirkless people don't do anything wrong!"

"quirkless don't do anything."

your chest was heaving with pain, your little heart couldn't take it. "you-- you'll never be a hero, you're too mean!"

in an act of rage, he set off an explosion. it was only meant to intimidate you but..

once the smoke settled your screams of terror filled the playground.

blood dripped on the floor, pooling in your hand as your grasped your ear. a ringing was all you could hear, it was driving you crazy.

were you crying? you couldn't tell, you couldn't hear. your eyes were shut as you were filled with panic, the smell of iron flooding your senses.

but katsuki remembered so much more.

the smell of the burned cartilage of your ear, the sight of it, or rather the lack of. the blood that wouldn't stop coming, why wasn't it stopping?

his group that usually rallied behind him was now gone, leaving him and a wailing you alone. he tried to talk to you, but you weren't responding.

he grew the courage to touch you, tapping on your shoulder slowly, but that didn't comfort you. in fact he thought it made it worse, making you bow your head in a defensive position.

he stared at you, unable to move, he was supposed to be a hero like allmight, were you right?

finally, a teacher came running to get you, an ambulance already on the way. they didn't look at katsuki, only at the pitiful state you were in.

you didn't respond to them either.

katsuki felt sick as he stood where you and the teacher had left them. he felt sick as he looked down to the remains of what he'd done to you.

he couldn't process it yet, but he felt a sickening despair and guilt be placed upon his shoulders.

one that wouldn't disappear.

he wasn't blamed for anything, only getting a quirk consolation. they thought he lost control? his parents eyed him as he tried to explain what had truely happened, he didn't know why he was trying, did he want to get punished?

but even after, nothing was done. with a lecture and a couple promises he was sent back to class with nothing done to him.

your life was changed forever though, it was apparent in the way that you seemed even more quiet and closed off. you sat in the back, never spoke to anyone, and got teary eyed when he even stood close to you.

your hair covered your ears constantly, a hearing aid peeking through the strands occasionally. the teacher never forced you to participate, none of them ever made an effort.

the teacher had explained to the class how you were completely deaf in one ear, and extremely hard of hearing in the other. how you'd use sign language from now on, and that the class would learn some in support. they never did though, the conversation going ignored as soon as it was uttered.

you were pulled out of class often, the teacher having to tap you on the shoulder to get your attention. your eyes dejected and your presence small as the person who came to get you made gestures with their hands to you.

you'd been cruelly placed in matching classes 'til your last years of junior high. you'd stayed the same way for forever, it was like a weight placed over his chest.

yet he felt he deserved it. he knew he was messed up. he watched you, a lot. he saw you in the back corners, usually forgotten and ignored. when you were acknowledged you were mocked, people making random hand signs to make fun of the way he forced you to communicate, mocking your unconfident speech right after.

he saw the way you sunk into yourself afterwards, making his heart hurt as you grew impossibly smaller. your hands held your own as you prayed for it to be over.

everytime you'd catch him in the halls, you'd still freeze up. your breath shaky as you bowed and left quickly, making his friends laugh but make him queasy.

that interaction was witnessed by your teacher who, after a day of you not showing up, assigned him to give you your work for the day.

with sweaty palms and a racing heart, he dropped by your house. he knew where it was, of course he did, your mom and his were close industry friends even after the incident.

because you'd never told anyone about what he'd do to you.

he knocked on the door, attempting to seem nonchalant. when you answered though, he felt his heart lurch in his chest.

"[name], uh-- this is your work."

you didn't respond, you looked almost nauseous at the sight of him, it was deserved though.

he placed your work on the floor and walked off, that was the only time he'd spoken to you since the incident,

and he couldn't even apologize.

- - -

U-A wouldn't only be a dream for him, but a release for you both. was it selfish to want to run away from his problems? sure, but it'd help you too.

as everyone in the class exclaimed the names of the schools they picked, unsurprised at katsuki's choice, he pondered on where you'd go.

nobody asked you, so you didn't speak. staying quiet as you looked out the window.

katsuki got accepted into U-A easily, but he couldn't help but feel he lacked the main criteria. he'd hurt people poorly, and couldn't apologize because of his ego.

he felt sick to accept these accomplishments of his, knowing it'd be built up on the foundation of hurting you.

but he did anyway, selfishly. he kept up his harsh demeanor in U-A anyways, working hard and scoring high. he graduated top of his class, job offers to agencies left and right.

he accepted one, working for his old internship officially now. he climbed the ranks quickly, saving lives and catching the attention of the media.

a couple years later, he was a steady number five hero when he took a patrol route over for deku. as he strolled through the city, stores littering the buildings, he saw someone he never thought he'd see again.

you, only now working for your mothers seamstress company. you were embroidering something on the station, hands precise and focused, not noticing him.

he had to keep moving, but.. he made a mental note to come back later.

he finished his patrol anxious, he went to sleep thinking of what he'd even say to you. 'hey sorry for ruining your life, can you forgive me?' he slapped his forehead in frustration.

he searched up basic sign language for beginners, learning a bit. he laughed at the stupid thoughts of your forgiveness that he dreamt of.

"as if i deserve it." he muttered, looking deeply at the ceiling of his room before falling asleep.

as soon as he awoke, he got dressed and prepared. he tried to look causal, as if he wasn't planning this.

he walked in, immediately greeted by your mother who congratulated him on his heroics. "well isn't that dynamite? saving the world i see."

he laughed politely. "i'll be number one soon enough."

"of course! well, what're you looking for? i'll give you a family discount, you grew up so close to [name] didn't you?"

his heart jumped into his throat.

"uh.. we did."

"you two were so adorable! she was so nervous around you, she must've had a crush on you or something!"

"i definitely don't think so."

"oh, you're just being modest." she said, hitting his arm lightly. "there she is now, go and speak to her."

"uh-- i--"

"go!" she shoved him in your direction, making you look up to see him. your lips parted in an unrecognizable expression as you saw him, the line you were working on now crooked as you were left alone together.

it's been about ten years hadn't it? ten years since he last saw you, but a lifetime he needed to apologize for.

he'd learned so much in U-A, outwardly changing his demeanor to what he always aspired to be. but all that meant nothing to you, who only experienced him at his worst.

he awkwardly raised his hand up to you, he did his best to sign while speaking, his hands shaky and unconfident. "hi [name], i'm really sorry about what happened back then."

your eyes followed the movements, your hands absentmindedly wrapping around yourself loosely, defensively.

"i know this is a lot but,

can we be friends?"

he waited anxiously for you to answer, you looking as if you were processing it.

in a grown up, yet timid voice, one that he hadn't heard since you were young, you almost whispered, signing as you did so out of reflex. "thank you, bakugo." your eyes grew watery. great, he just couldn't seem to stop making you cry.

he sat near you after getting wordless permission to, hanging onto every word you spoke, and being mindful to speak in a calm tone himself.

"i.. i'd like a friend, honestly. a new one anyways."

he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding when you said that, but still, it wasn't enough.

he wanted to, no needed to make you happy. the years of torment he subjected you to couldn't be made up by anything less than years of happiness.

after a bit of small talk, him asking you questions about what you'd been up to, how your life was treating you. he zoned out a couple times, thinking of how beautiful you've become.

"what would make you happy, [name]?" he finally said, his head supported on his hand as he gazed at you, making sure to enunciate his words so you could read his lips.

"what makes you ask?"

"i-- i want to make you happy. no matter the cost, it's what you deserve."

she laughed softly at that, her eyes flickering with an indistinguishable expression. "...i always wanted to travel. around the world, to see mountains and landscapes."

"then i'll take you."

"you don't have t--"

"i do. and ill do more [name], what i did to you was-- is horrible. you know that."

"i..

okay, okay bakugo."

"katsuki."

you smiled, "katsuki."

going from having very limited contact with your only friend from high school, to having a prohero come to your shop everyday was jarring. but not unwelcomed.

he brought gifts with him everytime, learning what you'd like and not. it ranged from food to stuffed animals, flowers to accessories, all of which you really appreciated.

you grew closer, eventually starting to meet outside of your mother's shop. at the park or walking around the mall, he'd take you anywhere you wanted to go. he'd pay for everything too, despite your reluctance.

he kept his word to you, and at the end of the month he asked you to come up to his apartment.

a penthouse.

as you walked in, greeted by the shimmering atmosphere of the expensive furniture and decor all around, abstract paintings and trophies littering shelves on the walls.

you stood by the front entrance, taking off your shoes as you walked in. "katsuki?" you asked, looking around.

he came out, a tiny smile on his face. "ya made it." he had something behind his back, "come in [name]."

the apartment was huge to say the least, it becoming even bigger than it looked from the entrance. he guided you to his plush couch, sitting next to you.

"so, i know you said you dreamt of traveling, right?"

at your nod, he pulled out the tickets from behind his back. "i.. got this tickets for you. i didn't want to push it in case you didn't want me to go with you but--"

you cut him off with a hug, tackling him into the couch.

"of course i want you to come,

katsuki."

you signed his name differently than other times,

you'd finally made a name for him.

he hugged back mindfully, so excited to finally have a huge first step in the right direction.

but he still needed to make you happy. "we'll leave in two days if that's okay, i just wanted to give you time to pack."

"okay, that's good."

"do you.. want to stay?" he asked nervously, the thought had popped into his mind and out his mouth in a millisecond.

you blinked, sitting up on his legs, pondering it over.

"sure, okay."

he put on some movies for the two of you, his heart was racing at the proximity of your body to his.

the night ended with you laid on top of him, fast asleep as he was comforted by the beating of your heart against his. your chest against his, his hand in your hair as your head laid in his neck.

he woke up first, to the sight of the gold light making you look heavenly, your hair messy from how he was playing with it throughout the night. your face was almost against his, he could kiss you right now.

but he shouldn't. he would move but he didn't want to couldn't, so he looked you over. you woke up to the feeling of his fingers caressing your face, your eyes half lidded from sleep.

"'suki. g'morning."

his heart was getting used to irregularly pounding around you at this point. "[name], uh-- hi."

after a couple moments, you got off of him, much to his discontent. his hands sliding down your legs as you got up.

"i'll be going now, i gotta pack and stuff." you said, looking in one of the many mirrors scattered around as you fixed your appearance as much as you could.

he nodded. "let me walk you home at least."

and he did walk you home, hand in hand.

those two nights he spent pondering over you. he didn't know why, but hero work felt much lighter after talking it out with you. becoming your friend was one of the best things he'd achieved in years, and that was including his recent rankings.

he thought back to how he treated you as a kid, had he really just been searching for your validation all along?

is that why it hurt when you told him he'd never amount to his dreams, because he only valued your opinion?

he let himself sleep, he'd see you tomorrow. and he'd make it all right.

he woke up and picked you up at your place, his expensive sports car standing out against the comfort of the neighborhood. you walked out, dressed simply but cute, a bag of your own in hand.

he grabbed it from you and placed it in the back, opening the passenger door for you as he drove to the airport. his hand on your thigh as he did so, letting you play the music you'd like with loud bass.

it was a half hour ride in comfortable silence, he gazed at you occasionally, a thoughtful expression on your face.

on the plane, you sat by the window. it was first class so you'd get to sleep in a physical bed, in a closed room. you were treated to whatever food and drinks you wanted, hugging katsuki when you found out you where you were heading.

the flight was a long eighteen hours, but it was spent hanging out with katsuki. on his lap asking him questions about the shows you two had watched, power scaling arguments about past heroes, fights he'd recently been in.

also what you two planned to do as you were there, you wanted to go to the beaches and mountains, he just wanted to follow you.

you fell asleep together again, your face laid directly in his chest as he held you.

you woke up to katsuki tapping you on the shoulder. as you raised the volume on your aids, you heard the beeping on the intercoms that meant you'd have to go back to your seats for the landing, groggily being helped up by katsuki as he moved you to to your seats.

you sat by the windows, looking at the tropical region as you two landed, your hand still in his. the moments after we're a blur, before you knew it you were in a car being buckled up by katsuki as you were being driven to your hotel.

what you didn't know was that it was a villa, built on top of the waters of the ocean, your very own private beach right outside your doors with the mountains you'd dreamt of treking right behind you.

you'd never been so happy.

the days you'd spent started and ended all the same, you waking up and going to sleep in katsuki's arms. pretending like you didn't notice how your bed hair got worsened after he played with it all night.

the first days you'd spent at the beach, attempting and failing at surfing. your jet lag was killed off by your utter excitement.

you being thankful your aids were water resistant because of how much you loved the waters of the river and the seas.

you'd had a sandcastle competition, sunbathed, and soaked off in the hot tub of your villa together.

the trek's were fun too, katsuki was annoyingly good at everything so you'd have to fight to keep up.

your polaroid in hand as you snapped candid shots of him, turning it to yourself as you got a selfie of you two with the gorgeous rivers as background.

you jumped into those too, making katsuki freak out as you dived in to the deep waters.

you even got to the top one day, jokingly saying that you should've brought a flag to the top to celebrate. the golden hours of the sunset making you glimmer.

a moment of silence passed over you as he slowly approached you, wordlessly asking for permission as you once again put your hands in his.

you leaned in first, kissing him with the sun as witness.

"i really like you [name]." he sighed and spoke after you pulled away.

"i like you too." you replied, hugging him tightly.

the rest of your trip was filled with your firsts with katsuki.

your first official date was in the burrows of the forest, a picnic where you two painted portraits of eachother. albeit, unique portraits... but painting nonetheless.

your first moment truly loving someone, the feeling you recognized as you laid him in your lap for the first time.

your first talk about what happened all those years ago. a deep one.

"[name], before we become something um.. official. we need to talk about how i hurt you." katsuki said one day, laying faced to you but taking your hands into his.

"kats--"

"let me speak. please." after you nodded, he took a breath and began.

"i was egotistical and really insecure all those years. you were the only one who really read me, that's why i think i got so upset.

i didn't mean to hurt you, i never wanted to hurt anyone i swear-- i just hated that you were right.

that weighed over me all these years, the fact that my hero work meant nothing if i was doing it while acting so.. unheroic.

i never fully felt like a hero, not until i met you again.

not until you graced me with your friendship, your undeserved affection towards me. i just-- i really care about you. and im really sorry, ill spend the rest of my life apologizing to you, and you don't have to accept it because i don't deserve it.

i guess what i'm trying to say is..

sorry, and.. i love you [name].

you don't have to--"

he was cut off by a kiss on his lips.

it felt different somehow, he couldn't place it. almost sad in a way as you pulled back.

"i don't think you were trying to hurt me. but, you did.

and you're working to change it, i appreciate that.

i really care for you too katsuki."

the rest of your trip was comfortingly domestic, learning things about each other you'd never know.

your last week was bittersweet, having to leave your jointed paradise was a reality that saddened the both of you. but your dream was fulfilled, and so was his.

seeing that he was the cause of your smiles and not your horror, making you happy was the light of his day. no, his life.

he thinks he was born to make you happy.

the flight back was a blur, you spent it clinging to him. you started to gift him your own things over the hours, a scrunchie of yours, a bracelet for him to keep.

a locket with a photo of you two, and the polaroid you'd taken on the mountains.

"why are you giving this all to me? not that i'm complaining."

"well, you'll get more use out of it. that's all."

he scrunched his face up in confusion, but with a smile you waved off his concerns.

he wished he pushed you more.

he wished that you'd forgive him for failing you once again, as he fought to take the razor blade out of your grip, slicing your hand in the process.

you were in your bathtub, surrounded by water yet fully clothed, tears and wails wracking your body as you just wanted it to be over.

you finally relented, your blood staining his clothes and the water as he picked you up. you couldn't hear him, you'd taken out your aid.

but you could feel his sobs, his tears hitting you as you shut your eyes, embarrassed of what you'd just done.

you were rushed to the hospital and given stitches, you were to be closely watched from your mom now on, you were told by an interpreter.

katsuki's eyes were red, matching his pupils as he looked at you.

he was frustrated, you could see it in the trembling of his fists and the scowl in his mouth. if he hadn't been there.. you would be dead.

why, he asked you. and to be honest, you really couldn't explain it yourself.

when you got home to your apartment, empty and reminding of your reality away from katsuki, you just felt so..

scared. what would happen when he finally got the validation he needed and left you? your whole life was quiet and tranquil, you'd gotten used to it. but he flipped it upside down again, showed you what your life really could be.

it was too much for you. you had to escape, so after sitting on it, tapping your leg anxiously as you pondered your decision, you went on your phone.

you went online and saw his life outside of you, how he had everything going for him yet what did you really have? a mom and a job at her company?

you grew impulsive, grabbing it absentmindedly and filling up the tub with the water you grown to love over the past month.

after you started bleeding, you panicked. what had you just done? but it was too late..

until he saved you from yourself.

you were zoning out. when you didn't answer him, he repeated himself, grabbing the interpreter so you could sign.

but still you said nothing, except a small sorry.

he left afterwards, leaving you alone in the bed to think.

you were back in your childhood room now, your mom having sobbed as she looked over your hands, as she asked you, "what the hell were you thinking?"

you looked at those glow in the dark stars and tried to find an answer, but there was none.

you held yourself to sleep for the first time in months, already missing him deeply.

little did you know, he was thinking about you too.

the next morning you awoke to a knock on your bedroom door. assuming it was your mom, you got up and opened it.

it was katsuki instead, holding a bouquet of flowers and the locket you'd given him.

"can i come in?"

you opened the door wider, leading him to sit on your bed.

"katsuki i--"

"[name]. i don't know why you did what you did.. but i know it probably has something to do with me. so what did i do wrong?" he looked defeated, as if he thought it was his fault you tried to end your life.

"no! no that wasn't it at all. well, it was about you but not like that.

it's just.. i've been alone. for so long? having you around felt.. too good to be true. i didn't want to go back to how i was before. in a way, you were too good for me."

"you're.. an idiot. but i guess i understand."

"i just.. i really love how you treat me. i didn't want it to go away."

a moment of silence passes, a small anxious laugh leaving katsuki's lips.

"fuck, i thought you hated me. could barely sleep without you."

he pulled you into him, staring deeply into your eyes as he pulled you impossibly closer. he kissed you deeply. his worries, passions, and frustrations all poured out into it.

he pulled away, eyes half lidded as he asked gruffly.

"wanna take this back to my place?"

he took your last first away, gentle and loving as he guided you through it. reassuring you that he'd never leave you.

you moved in with him soon after, finding it hard to sleep without eachother, no matter how late he got back to your shared home.

he'd be welcomed back by the sight of you, who always tried and failed to stay up waiting for him. he'd pick you up, like always, and hug you to sleep.

he'd know he woke you up by the feeling of your smile in his chest, the way you tightened you arms around him.

he loved spending every waking moment he could with you. you were right though, he did break up with you after he got your validation.

...

but that's just an odd way to say he proposed to you, vowing to spend the rest of his life making you happy and fufiling your wishes one by one.

he changed not only himself, but the way you see yourself. he changed your relationships with yourselves and eachother for the better,

and as you walked down the aisle, your wedding planned by your two designer parents, being lavish and gorgeous. the silk on the floor being runway to your expensive shoes specially designed for you, the guests in awe of how gorgeous you are.

you both knew, you'd better eachother for better or for worse, for as long as you'd be together.

he signed 'i do', sealing the rest of your lives together,

with a kiss.

an: izuku is honestly a cute beam of sunshine here in reader’s sad little life. Not proofread.

 :

“Y/N?” His soft breaks you out of your self deprecating thoughts. You’re both sitting under a tree, watching Bakugo and his lackeys play heroes in the playground.

You look up into his soft doe eyes. “Yeah?”

“Are you okay? I..couldn’t help but notice you seemed to be sad.” Izuku says, looking concerned.

You smile in fake happiness, “I’m fine. Why aren’t you with them?” You gesture towards Bakugo with a nod of your head.

“Oh..well, cause I’m, y’know, quirkless, and stuff, he doesn’t want me to join in. Cause heroes have quirks..and they're playing heroes. Actually, why aren’t you with them?” He twiddles his fingers nervously.

You frown, “That’s stupid. You can be a hero if you wanted to Izuku. And I’m not with them cause Bakugo thinks a quirk called ‘pickpocket’ sounds villainy.”

He flushes, eyes widening, in hope you think. "Really..?" Practically ignoring what you said after.

You nod, "You can be one, Izuku." Secretly wishing he would assure you that your quirk wasn’t evil, but it’s not like you could talk.

He blinks, a bunch of unreadable emotions going through him. "Thank you.."

You pause, "What time is it? I think I have to go now." He frowns, "You haven't even been here that long." You pause, thinking of a lie.

"Er..I have an appointment." You say, hoping he believes it.

He pauses not quite believing it, but too nice to pry. "Ok..see you tomorrow?" He asks hopefully.

You smile and nod, relieved he somewhat believed you. "I'll try." He hoped he wouldn't question how and why you planned on going home. Or how you even got here at the park for that matter.

Yep, nothing suspicious about a five year old going to a park all by themselves.

You waved bye, “Bye Izuku.” As you left, you passed by Bakugo, and stuck your tongue out.

He glares at, looking like he’s about to say something, but you’re too far to hear it.

The walk home is adventurous. Following your parent’s advice, use and ‘practice’ your quirk’s abilities by ‘borrowing’ wallets. You knew it was wrong. But your daily practice helped your family get by. Granted, the least they could do was be proud of you for helping.

You make it home, dumping your pockets contents, save for some 5 dollar bills. “Mom.” You say, announcing your arrival.

Just another normal day as a low rank thief.

—————

You’re eight now. With a bigger knowledge of the world and reality then any child should know. Using your quirk everyday to see what’s inside other’s pockets, then pickpocketing it.

Downright evil. You can’t help but feel glad Izuku won’t ever get to know. He’d try to save you or whatever.

You still continue meeting up with him at the park, playing together. Even though he would probably like to visit you, and maybe a bit hurt that you refuse.

That is, till you see your parents die.

A completely normal day. Mother hits you for not meeting the quota. You don’t cry. You’re used to it.

Your dad doesn’t show up till late night, and frantic. He immediately starts packing up after a brief conversation with your mom and a lot of yelling. Soon your mom joins in, telling you to make yourself useful and help.

So you do. And right in the process of stuffing your saved and stolen money into all your pockets, you hear someone banging on the door.

And who could that be, so late at night? And why did your parents look so terrified?

“We’re too late.” Your mother utters, standing still in terror. “Late?” You question.

That snaps her out of it. “Hide in the cupboards. Now.”

You blink, “Why?”

“Just do it!”

More banging, and curses.

She grabs your old stuffed dog toy, long discarded, and shoves it into your hands. “Don’t make a sound, and hang onto that.”

She pushes you into a cramped cupboard, and you protest. “Stay here and if you hear anything, don’t scream, don’t cry, don’t make a sound. Got it?”

You blink in shock, “Why..?”

She deeply inhales, “Your father borrowed money from people, bad people. So now they want to hurt him. And they don’t care who. So hide.”

That shuts you up. You nod, and your mother sighs, “Good. And don’t come out till you hear absolutely nothing.” She pauses, and the door breaks. “I love you.” She closes the door, and leaves you in darkness.

You hear screaming, and gunshots. It makes you jump, and you close your eyes shut. You dare to crack the door, just a bit.

What you see makes you wish you had obeyed. Your blood runs cold. Your dad lies dead, bleeding from his head, eyes lifeless but wide open.

Your mom was a gun pressed against her head.

“Where’s the money!” The man, at least you think is on, barks.

“U-under the mattress!” Your mom manages to say.

Which she would be right. If not for the fact that while you were packing up, you had grabbed it and put it in your pockets. You stiffen. If your mom died, her blood would be on you.

One of the men stormed into your shared room. A bunch of noises of things getting tossed around, and he returned, shaking his head. “Nuthin.”

The man cocks the gun. “Last chance.”

“I don’t know!” She cries. The gun goes off. And your mom falls over in a pool of her own blood.

You almost cried out and got out of the darn cupboard. But you remember her words.

You wanted to go out there and kill them. But now is not the time. You grip the stuffie, practically strangling it.

You wake up in a cold sweat. You blink. Oh right. You are not eight anymore. You are seventeen, had some kills under your belt, and was living in a shoddy abandoned shed on the top of a rooftop.

You rub your eyes, thinking about how somehow, your eight year old self had stuffed everything they could into a backpack, opened the window and never looked back.

You even still had that darn stuffie. It was a miracle you had lived this long. No thanks to heroes.

Today was a new day of stealing, maybe killing if anyone got in your way. Granted, you had already gotten your revenge by slitting their throats with a knife, after a long three years of stalking.

And you did feel guilty for indirectly being the reason your mother died. And maybe the authorities were on your tail. But you had outrun them. Maybe. Probably.

You sigh, surveying your scars on your arm. Caused by getting into knife fights with low rank scum.

You get off the floor and your sad excuse of a mattress, and start your day.

Hi! How are you? I'm not sure if you're okay with angst but I am in a dark place right now. TW! Death of a animal.

Last Thursday, I had to make the toughest decision of my life. My dog of 12 years who I loved dearly was suffering with fluid surrounding her heart and lungs. She was dying in my hands at the vet and there was nothing I could do to save her except putting her to sleep. I'm still 19 and my parents didn't want anything to do with it so I made the call right there and then. It still haunts me seeing her dying in front of my eyes and I just would really love if...I don't know have a Bakugo X Reader where he comforts and helps reader through this tough time... Maybe moments where she comes home and from the happy barking she got used to nothing, or when she gets up for a glass to drink she goes to pet her and there's nothing.

If not, It's okay and I hope you have a wonderful night/day! :)

Oh gosh! You got lost in my inbox bby I'm so sorry :(

I hope I'm not too late to make you feel a little better, and I hope you can forgive me for taking so long :(((

I put your ask first in line to make as soon as I saw it <3

Warning: Death of an animal...

Bakugou x Reader - Because she's not here

Hi! How Are You? I'm Not Sure If You're Okay With Angst But I Am In A Dark Place Right Now. TW! Death

It felt so unbelievably... empty.

Losing her wasn't something you had expected, and it had been so sudden. You didn't even have enough time to say goodbye.

You had taken your dog to the vet for a checkup just because she had been acting a little... down. She was no longer as active and excitable, choosing instead to cuddle with you and spend most of her time laying down.

You thought maybe she had an infection, or the food just wasn't good enough for her, but when you found out there and then just how much pain she was in, the only choice you had was to let her go.

It was hard.

Seeing her eyes open for that last time... It was never something you thought you would have to see.

That night, you came home without your best friend.

You walked home in the cold, staring at the floor in front of you and, you don't remember when you got to your front door but suddenly you were there, key in hand as you prepare to spend your first night without her.

Your stomach and your chest hurt, and you couldn't even swallow through the lump in your throat as you rest you back against your now closed door, not even bothering to make it to the bedroom before sliding down to the floor.

The tears just wouldn't stop, not that you even tried to stop them yourself. Theres no wet nose pressing into your palm while you pet her, and there's no happy panting or the scrape of her nails against hardwood floor. It was just emty.

A part of your life is missing, and you don't even know how you could go on without her.

After a few hours of crying into your hands, mourning the loss of a part of your family, you finally get the courage to pull out your nearly-dead phone to call your boyfriend.

He answers immediately. It's currently 11pm.

"Babe?..."

It sounds like he's just woken up, but you know you can't do this without him, so you press on. He knows there must be something wrong for you to be calling this late.

Maybe it's just the exhaustion of crying so intensely, and the dull but heavy and painful pressure of heartbreak that's worn you down enough for you to call your boyfriend this late, but you need him, and he would never dream of refusing you.

The second you stutter out what's happened, he's already put the door, and he has to fight back his own tears so that he can be there for you. He had grown quite attached to her during the years he had been dating you, and had treated her like his own family.

"Shit-. Babe, ah- i-it's gonna be okay. You hear me? Oh-..."

Another wave of grief washes over you and you draw in a shaky breath, crying in big, uncontrollable sobs as your phone sits on the floor next to you.

That night, he holds you close and lets you cry into his chest until you have no more tears to give, and you pass out in his arms while he strokes your hair.

-

The next few days has Bakugou essentially living with you. He's there to greet you after work and to keep you company while you both grieve the loss of your friend.

It's so hard to come home, and you know you wouldn't be able to without Bakugou there, because it's just too soon to be face to face with the obvious emptiness of your apartment.

He helps you face it though, and he helps you move on. You couldn't ask for a better partner.

Through his tough exterior, he really does look after you, making sure to be there everytime you go to stroke your dog, only for nothing to be there, and every time you expect to be greeted by padded paws and a jumpy dog when you come back, he's there to say hello with a kiss and a hug.

This is how the two of you ended up living together.

You just weren't made to be alone. It's the one thing you're truly afraid of. Not the dark, not the boogeyman, not spiders, just the thought that you could truly be alone one day.

So he moved in with you, and it made it just a little easier to cope now that you had some more company, and someone to cuddle when you felt alone.

Together, you both tried to move on, and although the pain never really goes away, it's just a little easier to go on.

I Want To Ruin My Life And Throw Myself Into An Arc So Uhh

Aizawa was starting to become a little worried about you. He had been so busy with Shinsou and his problem children to focus much attention and direction to the rest of the class. Every time he would try to work on it, yet another calamity would occur and force his attention back on the main parties.

He was working on this little flaw of his, continuously checking in with and directing the others during training period. He never got to help you, though. It seemed that whenever he would look for you, you would drop from the face of the earth.

You were avoiding him.

You would sit on your lonesome in class and at lunch, with your head kept down. He's never once seen you exchange small talk. In all honesty, he's less worried about your physical capabilities, and more worried about your mental state. He has a bad feeling.

In reality, you just hated this class. Every day, someone would open their big, ugly mouth and out came nonsense that further convinced you of how undeserving they were of being at the top. You were only here because you were recommended. Your quirk isn't nearly as powerful or flashy, either. Why does everyone else get all the attention when all they do is fuck up and ruin everything?!

All of this comes to light during the next sparring period. You were towing on the edge of keeping up with one of the class' best, until you were unexpectedly knocked down. That was your last straw. How fucking dare he?

You were suffering a humiliating defeat as you sit on your knees on the floor, staring into the distance without focus, until your sight was infiltrated by the image of Midoriya. You hate that stupid brat. The hatred in your veins is only fuelled when he offers a hand to you and a pathetic smile.

Within a second, his hand is slapped away and the room goes silent.

"Get the fuck away from me. Fuck you."

The bite of your words is only dulled by the waver of your voice, and the tears in your eyes. Izuku is stunned, as is the rest of the class. Even Katsuki thinks you're overreacting. Kirishima steps in with a frown. "Hey, man... That wasn't cool-"

He's interrupted when you turn around and walk away, brimming with anger and frustration. How is he so much better than you?! You train every day and constantly home your skills, so how did he beat you faster than you could blink?

Maybe you were being a little horrible, but you've never learned how to offset your anger in healthier ways, so for now, you're happy taking it out on others.

Are you really that weak? Maybe, after everything, you're the one who doesn't deserve to be here...

How come they could always be nice to eachother, but they could never talk to you? Why were you ignored or given strange looks when you tried to open up? How come noone wanted to be your friend?

Aizawa, of course, figured you might react in such a way. Loneliness can easily turn into bitterness if you take your eye off it for too long. He needs to help you fix this.

He wants to keep everyone in this class for as long as he possibly can, and allowing you to exclude yourself any more than you have would be dangerous for everyone, including you.

It's with that, that he starts putting people in pairs for everything. He would force you to socialise if it was the last thing he did.

Every day you would argue with your pair, but it was worth it, because when you were offered kindness or compassion, no matter how reluctant you were to accept it, he could see that little spark in your eye. It was the kind of spark that made him aware of your guard dropping. You were actually starting to care about your classmates.

Obviously Toshinori immediately knew what he was doing when he saw Aizawa put you in a group of three since the class was uneven on a specific day, and he would offer up a smirk and subtle glance as if to say "wow, you finally got through to them".

He supposed that it's not your fault you don't know how to cope with your... Emotional baggage, much like Shouto or Katsuki, but he likes to make you very much aware that it's your responsibility to learn how.

When the day comes that you finally think to apologise to Izuku, the boy you've grown an annoying fondness for, he actually starts to cry. He's so proud of you for not staying emotionally constipated like Katsuki, that he actually floods the room and Aizawa has to open the window for him to violently sob out of so that the entire class doesn't drown.

Slowly, you start to grow a kinship with a few people in your class, and you grow especially close with your bubblegum haired friend Mina, and Jirou, who liked to do her part by teasing you out of your shell. Maybe, you could even learn what it's like to love and be loved back.

Doesn’t Hurt Pt. 2

Mha

Warnings: Abusive? relationship (verbal), self-hatred, and one swear

Requested By: @hains-j @encryptedheartz @letmeknowknj @netamaru @bitchtrynafck -- thank you all for requesting a part two! I hope it does you justice

Y/n and Bakugo have always loved each other, but nothing good lasts. When Y/n gets a glimpse of how relationships could be, Katsuki has no choice but to try harder, or he might lose her forever.

Part One! Part Three!

Doesnt Hurt Pt. 2

Y/n wasn’t an idiot, but there were somethings she would never fully understand. One of which was how her relationships with Bakugo and Midoriya would turn out. She had always thought that she and Bakugo would stay friends, and she would end up being with Midoriya. Izuku had always been so nice to her, and they were much closer. He would have treated her like a princess- like she was his everything. He would never stop cherishing her if they were dating, so why had things ended up the way they did?

Bakugo had asked her out on a date before Izuku had the chance. It wasn’t anything special, but things with Katsuki never were. Even growing up, it always felt like he was a little bit embarrassed by being with her. He looked at Y/n like she was the world, but he could never bring himself to hold her for more than a minute.

They were inseparable and head-over-heels in love. They spent every waking hour together, and Katsuki would never be able to voice how gushy and warm he felt when looking at her. He loved knowing she was his, but it hurt when she spent time with Midoriya. He knew that Deku loved y/n before Deku knew, and he knew that if he didn’t do something quickly, Midoriya would ask her out first.

Much like how Y/n wasn’t an idiot, neither was Bakugo.  He was well aware that if both he and Midoriya confessed at the same time, she would choose the latter. He was softer, nicer, and -as much as Bakugo hated to admit it- Midoriya knew y/n better than he did.

When Y/n said yes, Bakugo knew he won. He knew that all of y/n’s firsts would be with him: first date, first kiss, first everything. He finally had something that Izuku didn’t, and he would never be able to have her. She was all his.

He had taken her out to a movie- it was a quiet Disney movie that she had been gushing about, so he knew it was the safe option; it was hard to displease y/n any way, so it wasn’t like it mattered. Nothing really mattered.

Whenever he stumbled, Y/n was there to keep him to his feet, if he ever felt like giving up, she would push him to continue and do his best. If they fought, she would come back to him with an apology and kisses. It was a continuous loop, and it felt safe.

He never worried that she would leave him; because, why would he? He was the strongest person in her life, he was her first boyfriend, and she was his. They were together, and if anyone said anything to the contrary he would set them straight; however, as they got older, having her there became increasingly embarrassing. It was just awkward to have his own personal cheerleader with him 24/7, and while he enjoyed the encouragement, he didn’t want anyone to think he needed her- he would be fine without her!

Sure it's nice to have someone there to vent to, to hold during his darkest house, someone there to anchor him to earth so he didn’t feel like he was floating off into space. It was amazing to have a girlfriend, but she wasn’t a necessity. He doesn’t need someone to walk to school with, someone to call at 2 am after a nightmare, someone to spend time with on the weekends, or someone who makes his lunch. He doesn’t need a support system, or hugs and kisses. He doesn’t need anyone. But if that’s true, then why does it hurt so much when he hears people talk to her?

He knows he’s a great boyfriend, she knows he takes care of her, but then why does it bother him when other people talk about their relationship? The whispers in the cafeteria, the glares in the halls, none of it should matter, nothing should matter, but that can’t erase his undying need to show her off, to prove to everyone that he’s the best boyfriend ever. He just can’t bring himself to do it.

Izuku wasn’t an idiot. He knew if fifth grade, when Y/n had slept over and wore a cute, fox-print, crop top and legging PJ set, that she had a hold of his heart. She didn’t steal it, it was more like he woke up one day, and it wasn’t his anymore. There was never a moment of transferring ownership, it just belonged to her.

He also knew that if he confessed, she would accept. Whether that be a reciprocation of feelings or pity he wouldn’t know, but if he had asked her to be each other's, she would say yes. Midoriya knew that Bakugo liked her, but Y/n never had the chance to decide for herself.

It was no secret that, if given the option between the two boys, Y/n would choose Bakugo. He was stronger, more confident, and he was everything a protector should be. So, he settled with being the best friend. He could handle the phonecalls after she left, gushing about how nice Bakugo had been, he could take the phone calls of her crying at 4 am, after Bakugo hung up on her, he could handle being in second place to her heart.

His soul was crushed when she told him. He felt his heart shatter in her palm, and she didn’t even know she was holding it in the first place. But still, he was and always will be hers. He would support her whenever she needed him, it might not be healthy, but it’s all he can do to be with her. He just wants what’s best for her.

Y/n never had a clue that Midoriya felt that way about her, she always thought he saw her as a close friend, but she always wondered what would have happened if he had confessed to her late at night during one of their sleepovers.

On more than one occasion she has thought back to lying next to Midoriya on his bed in the middle of the night. She could still imagine his light breaths in and out, soft and repetitive. He would turn to face her, and he would whisper out all sleepily, “I think I’m in love with you,” and then he would fall back asleep.

It might be unhealthy with the number of times she’s thought of this, but could anyone really blame her? Bakugo loved her, and he really did enjoy her being around him, but he only showed his affection in private- it made her doubt if he actually liked her, or the idea of her. It got to her, and as much as she hates to admit it, Y/n’s spent countless nights outside, by herself, looking at the stars for answers.

Tonight was one of those nights. She was still in her pajama set, and the fall weather had started to get to her, but she didn’t want to leave. It was nice out here by herself, it felt so calm. Her family had been surprised that she and Bakugo started dating, Y/n always preferred things neat and calm, in their place. There was one outlier in her life, and that was Bakugo.

He was loud and chaotic, he disrupted her peace in the best possible way, but even the best of storms tear down trees, and boy did he tear up her forest. Loving Katuski was only hard when he was there- as bad as it sounds it’s true.

When he’s not present, it’s easy to remember all the amazing things they’ve done together, all of the cuddles and sleepovers, and the breakfasts’ and dates, all of the I love you’s and the kisses whispered far passed midnight, it’s so easy to get caught up in the good times, he was always so soft- unless he was there.

When Bakugo was there, he was cold and stubborn. He was never one to initiate contact unless he was jealous, and even then it was only ever with Izuku. When he was there, he was a knife digging into her skin, and all the while he thought he was just tracing over her with his fingertips. He loved her, god did he love her, and it was always obvious to them that he loved her. Who didn’t?

But he never showed it to other people. In the beginning, it didn’t bother her too much, but as time passed on it became less and less of him not being comfortable enough with PTA and more and more of him just not wanting to hold her hand, and that tore at Y/n’s skin in every place possible. It was the monster that hid under her bed until the darkest time of the night when only she was awake with her thoughts.

That’s what led her here, to the balcony of her dorm room. She was almost crying, and she was so cold. Y/n had lost track of time in her head- like she usually did. It was hard not to when so much was on her mind. Her body moved closer in on itself, and she rubbed her arms for warmth. It was almost time for her to go back in, but Y/n just wanted to stay out just a little longer.

“Y/l/n?” A voice from above asked, “What are you doing out in the night?”

To say she was startled was an understatement. She had been so shocked, that she jumped back and almost fell over hr balcony. Luckily, a force had stabilized her from behind, giving her a light nudge back over the railing.

“Tokoyami,” she breathed out, putting a hand over her chest, “you’re getting better at that.” Her chest had shut in on itself for a split second, and her body was shaking slightly.

“Thank you, it takes much effort and practice,” he was now leaning down over the railing himself, watching her.

“You’re gonna hurt yourself doing that,” Y/n pointed out growing increasingly worried about the boy who she never really spoke to thought a propose.

“Are you proposing I leave?” He asked, trying to hide the weird stung of being rejected before he had the chance to say anything.

“No,” Y/n laughed and shook her head, “I was going to invite you down,” She smiled up at him, and she shifted over to the far side of her little terrace.

Tokoyami jumped down, and he landed softly- albeit with a little help from Dark Shadow. It was rare for the students to see each other outside of school uniforms, so the only real taste they had of each other's style was their hero costume, and how ell could a costume judge a person wardrobe?

For the first few seconds, they just stood there observing each other. Tokoyami’s oversized, light-purple hoodie was much better suited for the weather than her cropped, black, hoodie. His was cute and solid, but hers had a band she had been listening to written over it. It was a cute top, but it did nothing to protect her from the cold.

She broke the atmosphere by turning to her side and leaning over the railing. She propped her head upon her hands, while her elbows supported herself on the railing.

Tokoyami stared at her while she looked up at the stars. This girl had been on his radar since the first day of school. Her quirk was one of the strongest ones he has ever heard of, and getting to see her use it in person was amazing. He always wondered how hard she could push it.

“We have school tomorrow,” he said, standing next to her and looking out into the sky, “if we want to do our best, we should go to sleep soon.”

“I think...” she looked up to the stars, and her face was dim, “I think I might stay in my dorm tomorrow.”

This captured all of Tokoyami’s attention, it had been almost as startling as when someone admits to something completely insane, like stealing clothes or putting ketchup on broccoli, it was so out of the blue and out of character.

“You- you think you’re going to... What?” The girl who was first in academics and quirk advancement was going to- skip class?

She laughed a little, but it had no humor in it. “It’s not unheard of to take mental health days, how do you think I do so well in school?”

“Showing up on time every day and doing everything in your power to study hard and pay attention?”

“All of that is good and all,” her face fell into a deep frown, “but none of it gets you anywhere if you’re not taking care of yourself. You should always put your own mental and physical wellbeing before anything else- the school isn’t important enough to sacrifice yourself for.”

“Why doesn’t that logic apply to your relationships?”

Dead silence.

He hadn't meant to say that out loud! It was one of those thoughts that jump into your head that you immediately scold yourself for- it was never supposed to leave his head.

In an awkward attempt to diffuse the conversation-killing bomb he had just dropped, he asked her, “So when do you plan on turning in for the night anyway?”

What Tokoyami said wouldn’t have usually had any effect on Y/n, she was used to people talking to her about her relationship with Bakugo- they always danced around the topic and tried not to come out and say what the wanted to.

If it was any other day, she would have brushed it off and be fine, but adding another classmate's opinion onto the pile that had formed on her chest was really starting to weigh her down. What would she say to that if it was any other night? Any other second? She would say something that didn’t show how sad she was, something witty that would hopefully make him laugh...

“Quote the raven,” Y/n smirked a little at her own pun, and she ended up giggling at her own joke.

Tokoyami’s eyes lit up at the reference, and his feathers puffed up as he tried t contain his excitement to keep up his facade, “You read poetry?”

“Only the good kind,” she pointed upwards, “the classics.”

“Hey, Y/L/N, you’ve gotta tell me,”

“Tell you what?” She looked into his eyes again, taking the moment to really appreciate them for the first time. The way the moonlight reflected on the red made it look like it was a shining lighthouse in the distance, signaling to all the sailors that they were safe from the storm that they had been fighting on their own.

“Why don't you use your power to do something... more?” He was almost at a loss for words, but there must be a reason. Here she was, a shivering mess, and yet she refused to imagine a jacket, a heater, anything of the sort! It was confusing, and he wasn’t the only person who felt this way- almost the whole class had voiced an opinion on the subject.

“I just-” she looked away again and grimaced, “I don’t even know anymore. At first, I thought it was for moral purposes, but know?” She laughed, “God! I feel like I’m- I don’t know... punishing myself for something? Does that make any sense?”

He nodded, and if he had a mouth he would smile. “What could you have to punish yourself for?”

A wave of sadness washed over her like a hundred memories flashed into her brain. She could see herself in moments like these. She knew it was herself because she recognized her face, but everything else was different. Her personality, her appearance, but most of all, Midoriya was always by her side- he almost always had an arm around her shoulders or her waist. They were together, and they were always smiling a big, great smirk that covered there entire faces.

Y/n hates herself for saying yes to Katsuki that day, she regrets it; because, if she had said no, so it would have been awkward, but, at least then she wouldn’t be trapped in a relationship she didn’t want to be in. And then, she hates herself for this. Nothing ways on Y/n’s heart more than knowing that while she is here, imagining a life with one of her best friends, her boyfriend is in bed thinking there’s nothing wrong- he trusts her completely.

Tokoyami’s eyes had appeared in her lane of vision, and it became awkwardly clear that she had zoned out. But his eyes... they made her feel so safe, it was a weird feeling for someone she had rarely talked to give her, but she had a feeling she’d be seeing him a lot more in the future.

“Has anyone told you that it’s really difficult not to talk to you?” She asked, feeling like she had been a little too loose-lipped.

He laughed a shook his head, as he leaned back on the railing and shoved his hands into the pouch of his hoodie. “Yeah,” he blushed, “I get that a lot. It’s not like I’m nosey! People just have a tendency to tell me everything, whether I ask or not.”

Y/n scoffed a bit, and she shivered once again. “I should go inside if I don’t want to get sick,” she murmured, but she still stared out into the night.

“I assume that, no matter how much logical sense it makes, you won’t be going inside any time soon?” He looked to her head, and he saw her hair move along with the motions of her shaking it back and forth. With a sigh, he walked over to her and engulfed her in his arms from behind.

“Huh?” Y/n voiced, alarmed by the sudden contact.

Tokoyami, who refused to look at her, tried to explain himself with, “I don’t want you to get sick,” but he spoke so softly it was hard to hear. Nevertheless, he kept her close to his torso with his hands unmoving from around her.

---------------------------------------------------

Katsuki was about to barge into his girlfriend's room and throw a fit; she hadn’t shown up for their breakfast, so he had to sit next to Kaminari and Sero- how could she leave him to dry like that?

Just as he was about to twist the lock, he read what she had written on a whiteboard that was pinned to the back of her door, why she liked it he would never know. It read, Sorry, I caught a cold and don’t want to get sick! Don’t worry about me, and study hard! Especially you, Iida, I’ll be fine in a day or two, so you don’t need to get me meds of flowers + get well soon cards- Love Y’all xoxo

Katsuki suddenly felt an overwhelming amount of guilt wash over him; he was so selfish, who would yell at someone for staying homesick? A jerk, that’s who. Y/n had probably been studying so hard last night, she always ran herself into the ground. and now she caught a cold. He felt so bad for her, but in case she was asleep he didn’t want to bother her- she would need all the rest she could get.

How Bakugo responded would have gone a lot differently if he knew what was happening behind that door. No one will ever know what he would have done, because, on the other side of these walls, his girlfriend was in bed next to his classmate.  It wouldn’t matter that the only reason he slept in her bed was because he had fallen asleep after they sat down on the terrace, and she didn’t want to bother anyone by bringing hi to his proper room, so she just plopped him down on her bed, and she slept on a beanbag chair she had in the corner, wrapped up in her heaviest comforter.

He would blow up- or at least that’s what Y/n is currently telling herself as she cuddles into Tokoyami’s feathers. He would be angry, and he would start a fight, but nothing seems to hush that quiet voice nudging her shoulder, pulling her down, and whispering in her ear, “He’d only be angry if he cared.”

Y/n hated how she thought, who could doubt someone who had been with her through thick and thin? Over the years, not once had he flirted with another girl- he was completely loyal to her... he would never hurt her.

If he didn’t realize he was hurting her, then he did nothing wrong. It’s not Katsuki’s fault that she was so anxious- if he was faithful to her she has to repay the favor.

He didn’t know, and she would never tell him. Even as she lays in bed basking in the warmth of someone else body, she makes a promise with herself. I will stay by his side until he tells me to stop. Until he kicks me out of his life I will be unwaveringly loyal; because, he loves me- and I... I love him.

And like all birds, she stayed quiet in her cage. And like all owners, he had no idea that the metal bars she was kept in were too small for her wings. And like all lighthouses, Tokoyami will stay where he is, as he reminds her to fly towards the light to find her way home. And like all idiots, Midoriya won’t chase after her; because, who is he to deny his friends the happiness he is so sure they have?

In all of the times and in all of the places, the predator will devour the pray without a second thought. He will rip her limb from limb, insecurity by insecurity until she is nothing more than a circus of bones to remind everyone of the shell of a girl she had become.

And though she felt every scratch, every stab, every time he knocked her down, she would say nothing- she deserves it for doubting his love for her. She deserves it, and so much more. People will never stop talking to her about it, and she will never stop defending him, Katsuki Bakugo is and forever will be the perfect boyfriend to her, and Y/n will always say that. She will throw herself in front of a blade if it means sparing him.

Healthy or not, it didn’t matter. She is his, to do with as he deems fit. He chose her, and she was privileged to have him by her side, no matter how aggressive he is. And at the end of the day, when she’s all alone with her new friend in the shadows when no one else can hear her, only then will she say the truth. Only then will someone finally know; When Katsuki talks down to her, it fucking hurts.

Edited: feb. 29 2024

They say that the heart was made to be broken. It was stuffed down your throat in every bad poem you’d had read, in every story that never knew when enough was enough, it was a bitter pill that was overused. And yet, it had slowly started to make sense.

As you laid down in bed with Katsuki by your side, you could feel ice start to form over your heart. It was like frost over a window, and it took less than an hour for the cold to be all you could think of. Why am I so cold, when I used to burn for you?

You’d spoken to Fumikage again the night prior, and it was almost like your mouth became a faucet, and the droplets of words turned to a steady stream which couldn’t be shut off.

He had you inside one of his largely oversized sweatshirts, and you couldn’t have stopped yourself from leaning deeply into his heat.

“You’re so warm,” you’d whispered, leaning into his shirt-covered chest. It vibrated heartily as he chuckled. You’d gotten used to each other’s presence, and, while it had taken a long time, things were so comfortable the first names just seemed to flow. After all, how long can you stay acquaintances with someone you’ve shared a bed with?

“You know you’d be a lot warmer if you dressed for the weather,” he’d whispered; it hadn’t taken long for Tokoyami to figure out that his new midnight friend was shocked by loud noises. He had many theories as to why, but he never had enough evidence to feel comfortable asking you about them.

“Why would I do that if I have a personal furnace with me?”

“Hah! Sometimes I think that’s the only reason you keep me around,” he teased her rarely, but when he did it would catch you so off guard that you would have trouble getting serious again.

“No- I keep you around because you’re the only person I think I can really talk to,” you had looked up at the stars, oblivious to the stares he’d leveled on the back of your head.

If only he could tell you how he felt, he would cherish you like the muse he knew you truly were- he was so much better than the evil spirit you associated yourself with. But, for now, he would have to disguise his compliments as well as he could with friendship.

“You were breathtaking during your presentation today,”

“Oh! Uh- thank you, Fumi! That means a lot coming from you,” a smile had taken over your face, and it was as bright as the stars you oh-so admired.

Tokoyami loved it when you smiled. He brought his arms around both of your bodies, and he pressed them closer together, as he rested his forehead on the top of your head, leaning slightly to the side as to not hit you with his beak.

“Aww,” you cooed at him and nuzzled closer to his chest, “someone’s feeling awfully brazen tonight.”

“No, not brazen. Just cold,” He lied. He hated lying, but he couldn’t exactly tell you the truth now, could he? What would he say? ‘I know you’re in a relationship, but I think I’ve fallen so deeply in love with you that if you told me the sky was green, I’d believe you without a second thought, and I’m worried you don’t know how much power you hold over me,’

You would freak out, and he’d never be able to hold you again. You would stretch your wings and fly away, as you were already hovering just out of reach. He knew it was wrong, it’s immoral to covet another person’s treasures, but when they treat them like paper-weights, is it truly wrong to try and save them?

He kissed the top of your head, “You’re too good for anyone,”

“Are you anyone?”

“I don’t know, am I anyone to you?”

“This seems like a dangerous game,” you had sighed and turned around to face him. You knew that the moment you looked into his poisonous eyes you’d be hooked. His eyes wouldn’t let you go without a struggle.

“You’ve never been one to walk on the path of easy decisions and smooth pavement,” he challenged you, daring you- begging you to say something, anything to prove he stood a chance.

“I don’t know. I feel like I’m taking the easy route in almost anything I do nowadays,”

He grabbed your hands and held them in his own, “You’re hurting, it’s natural to shield yourself from anything that could harm you further,”

You were rarely left speechless, but with his intoxicating words and deadly eyes, it was hard to form a response worth saying.

“I’m starting to think you’re a bad influence,” You whispered, and you put your noses together.

“Believe me, that was never my attention,” he tilted his head lightly, and he was so close you could feel his breath on your lips; you were sure he felt the same.

You looked from his beak to his eyes. If he had lips you doubt you could have have been able to resist kissing him, but you was given the opportunity to second-guess yourself.

His crystal eyes shined through the clouds, like the beacon on the pier, they always seemed to beckon you closer. They dared you to sail towards them, it was almost like they held the secret to the world.

“I can’t kiss you, Fumi,” you whispered. You eyes had clenched shut, as you tried to stop the tears that were beginning to show themselves. You can’t do this, this isn’t you.

“Why not?” He asked, his heart was falling apart, and it felt like he was being burned.

“I can’t leave Katsuki, he’s done nothing wrong,”

“He’s done nothing right,” he interjected as soon as you finished talking. “You shouldn’t stay with someone who makes you doubt your worth,”

Your phone rang from inside you dorm. You ducked under his sweatshirt and sighed.

“That’s him, isn’t it?” He asked. He wasn’t mad, just very frustrated.

“I think…” You looked away from him, “You should go to your room.”

You left him on your balcony, and you answered your boyfriend. He watched as you shut the door, you didn’t lock it. Did she want me to ignore what she said and go in? Was this a test? Or did she really want me to leave?

“Dammit!” He huffed before going up to his room. Why did he have what he wanted, what he deserved? Bakugo couldn’t keep you, does he not see how sad you are with him? A real man would leave on his own.

That night, four people cried themselves to sleep. A prince who lost his princess before he even had the chance to pull out his sword, a storm that destroyed the peace-wrecking everything it touched, a lighthouse that only wanted to guide the lost back home, and a white dove that couldn’t stretch its wings- forever trapped in her cage.

——————————————–

Bakugo’s hand rested on your waist as he slept. You had been watching a movie before he passed out, and he was un-budging. It always shocked you, how he used to keep you so warm.

He would hold you in private, as soon as you had a moment alone he would squeeze you tight like he never wanted to let go. It was such a powerful hug, that it almost hurt to let go. You had loved those hugs.

Now there were no hugs, no stolen moments. Now he watched you freeze hogging all his warmth for himself.

Could it be… that he gives his warmth to somebody else? No- you can’t think like that, Bakugo’s not a heartless cheater. He’s not you after all.

But was it cheating? Was it wrong? When Bakugo destroys everything you has created, how can you not learn to lean on the eyes that watch over you?

A soft groan snatched your attention. You looked over to the blonde boy, and he seemed to be stirring in his sleep. You quickly relaxed your body and shut your eyes.

He peered through his eyelids and reached out, running his fingers up your hip and the side of her torso and back down following the natural bend.

“Babe, I’ve got to go,” he voice was so smooth, he was so close to having complete control over you, and he would never know.

You hummed in response and stretched reaching your arms up. “Do you have to?” It came out as a whisper, and it was so soft that Bakguo’s heart fluttered hearing it.

“It’s past curfew,” He responded, getting out of bed and grabbing his school bag and jacket, which had been tossed on the floor when they were prepping for the movie.

It’s now or never, girl! You’ll never get this chance again!

“Katsuki?” You called out, almost regretting it when you locked eyes with him.

“Hm? What?”

“I uhhhh,” Don’t lose your nerve, “I want to go on a date tomorrow!”

“Sure,” He offered, has he always been so casual?

“Really?” It was hard to hide the surprise and disbelief in your voice, but your not entirely sure what you were expecting.

“Yeah, of course. Why not?” He threw back, as he walked to the door. “Where do you want me to take you?”

“Somewhere sweet. I’d like to be able to hold your hand, so we could take the train across the region?”

“Anything for you. Goodnight babe, be ready by 6 tomorrow, I’ll see you then,”

“I’ll see you then,”

Once he had shut the door, you started squealing in delight. You ran through outfits in your head, and a bright smile never left your face. You can’t remember exactly how long it had been since he had been taken out on a date, but it had been way too long.

Rejecting the offers that other boys had given you wasn’t something you had anticipated- you’d never thought that highly about yourself.

However, you grew to realize that class 1A truly did care about you, or at least they acted like it. It was strange to think people seek out your company, but the knocks on your door became a constant in your life, you became used to people coming to talk to you late into the night.

You had grown accustomed to knocks on your door, but recently you haven’t been answering them. You’re not doing it consciously, but your late-night-chats with Tokoyami have taken you outside far more often, and you can’t hear the door from there.

With the memories of the night before still present in your mind, you went and stood outside. You were out there for five minutes, and you grabbed a hold of yourself once again. You hadn’t felt cold outside for a long time- Tokoyami always kept you warm.

Is he not coming? Did I ruin my chance to be near him? Can I even blame him for not wanting to be with me?

Though it might be harsh- as all things were when you were talking about yourself- you looked out to the stars, and you couldn’t pinpoint when things became so messed up; it was so sudden, or maybe it was just like that the whole time.

But one thing was different, Fumikage was different. He was always there for you, he would listen to you- keep you warm. He was so different than what you was used to, and you would be lying if she said that she didn’t love it.

He was so warm and so present. It never felt like he was shying away from you without reason, and you learned to bask in the light he shined on you, but there are two sides to every coin, and this was no exception. You could never get too used to him, because at the end of every day, you are with Bakugo, and the cycle continued.

You rested your head on your palm and sighed. Why couldn’t something go right? And just when all apparent hope was lost-

“You know if I’m going to have to stop spending time with you at night, you’re going to have to invest in a sweatshirt,”

And you couldn’t bring yourself not to smile. And Fumikage couldn’t bring himself to look at you.

“If you could have anything,” you whispered, “If the world was your oyster and you could do anything,” tears started to fill her eyes, “what would you do?”

He paused- the thought had never crossed Tokoyami’s mind. Why was she so strict in how she used her abilities?

“If every time you had said out loud ‘I wish-’ and whatever followed came true, how different would your life be?”

You had never been so serious with your words- and it caught him far off guard. Millions of thoughts ran through his head, and he couldn’t bring himself to say any of them.

“What is it that you wish, princess?” He finally approached you, grabbing your elbows and looking deep into your eyes.

“I can’t say it,”

“Why not?”

“Because,” your heart broke just a little more, “If I say it out loud, and it’s not already true- than I will have ruined one of the most important moments of my life,”

He paused and bit his tongue, “I hope my love is what you wish; because, you possess it completely,”

“I’m dating Bakugo,” you whispered soft enough that he almost didn’t hear it.

“And yet you love me,”

“Who could love a cheater?”

“We haven’t even performed the most innocent act of romance, how could you have been unfaithful?”

“Cheating with the heart will always hurt more than cheating with the body- I've betrayed more than our relationship I took advantage of his trust.”

“Than break up with him, so I won’t make a cheater out of you,”

“You say that like it’s easy,” and to him, it was the easiest thing- he loved you.

“It will be,”

“He loves me,”

“Then where is he?” Yes, it was a low-blow, and Tokoyami knew it. You had told him on many occasions that you wished her boyfriend would stand outside with her in the cold, but Bakugo thought it was stupid and a waste of time. He used to, he’d even met you on one of your sky-watching sessions. It hurt to think that he would use their past conversations against you, but where was he wrong?

“He’s probably asleep,”

“Then you should sleep, so that you may do one last thing as a couple before he loses the title,” The woman he was completely in love with just told him he has a chance, and he will never forgive himself if he ruins this.

“That’s harsh,”

“If love be harsh with you, be harsh with love,”

“Did you just misquote Shakespeare at me?” You couldn’t stifle the small laugh that escaped your lips. Fumikage always had a way to make you smile at the most peculiar of times, and trust him to throw the charged tension for a loop.

“Perhaps I did,” He teased you lightly, and shook his head.

“If I broke up with him, if tomorrow night I was out here by myself, and every other night from now to eternity, would you keep your warmth for yourself? Would you get sick of me? I’m so fucked up, I don’t even know what a secure attachment style is. How long am I going to hurt like this?”

Tears had regathered in your eyes, and your lips had fallen to quiver. Your body shook, and it would never be known if it was from the cold in the air or the cold in your heart.

“Quote the raven,”

“Hah,” you wiped your tears with the palms of your hands, “You read poetry?”

“Only the good kind,” he thought back, and he knew their first encounter like the back of his hand. Had your lips been as prominent back then as they did now? Were you crying then too?

Your eyes flickered between his crimson eyes, as you searched for a sign, anything that told you that he wanted this too. He stepped closer, and his breath hitched. Was this finally happening?

They were an inch away from each other, and you drew your lip between your teeth, as Fumikage put his forehead on yours.

He murmured your name.

You hummed in acknowledgment, and you locked eyes.

“I love you,” he took a breath in before lacing his fingers into your hair, and he pulled you a little closer, and you kissed. Your shared heat shielded you from the painful cold that was biting at your skin. Time seemed to stop as you basked in each other’s warmth.

Even as his eyes were closed, your crimson lighthouse had finally done their job, you were home. You were hidden by the dark as night cloaked the world. And, in your own little bubble, you missed your ringing phone. And, in their own little bubble, you never heard the storm knocking on your door.

And so, as the clouds give way and the thunder travels further and further away, the ship had managed its way to the lighthouse. And the princess had been freed from her tower while the prince laid in bed, broken and alone. And the pretty little dove was saved by a raven, and together they spread their wings and flew away.

And, with all things considered, can you really blame a person for getting involved, if it was love? Even if they knew someone could get hurt? Even if the dove is already in a cage, is it really so wrong to want to fly alongside her?

You held Tokoyami close that night, and you stayed together until early morning. Until the birds began to chirp and the owls had fallen asleep, and you finally realized that being in a relationship doesn’t have to hurt to be real.

I hope you all enjoyed this three-part series! It took a while to finish, but I am overjoyed with the support you all have shown it!

 RING RING RING

"Wh-what are you talking about?" You stuttered out, laughing to hide your fear. "You can't be serious, Toshi."

You reached out to take the thin blond man's hand, but he jerked it away, and you couldn't help but gasp. "Y-You can't see me anymore?" Your voice cracked.

He turned his gaze away, unable to look at the tears that he had caused to build in the corners of your eyes.

"Why...?" You clenched your fists, and then stomped you foot to the floor, before shouting at him, "You said you loved me! What that all a lie?" You breath was ragged with turmoil, as your shouts turned into sobs. "Just a lie to get me into bed? I can't believe this..."

"No!" Toshinori finally shouted, and reached his shaking arms around your shoulders, pulling you into his embrace. "It's because I love you..." He whispered into your hair, "My work is too dangerous, I just... I can't be the reason you're hurt. Or worse."

"Your work?" You scoffed and pushed him away, leaving him looking down at his empty arms in despair. "You won't even tell me what that 'work' is. You won't tell me anything about yourself." You clenched for fists so hard, that you were sure your fingernails would break the skin of your palm. "I stopped asking questions. I told myself just being with you was enough. But now..." You sucked back a sob, trying to hold together your composure. "But now... can't you just tell me what it is you're leaving me for?"

You had your eyes to the ground, watching your tears litter the carpet of your foyer. You couldn't look at him. Not now.

"I..." Toshinori squeezed out a single syllable from his throat, "I'm sorry..."

The overwhelming feeling of heartbreak struck through you like a knife to the gut, and you spun your back to him, gasping out a sob you wished he couldn't hear.

"Just go!" You shouted.

You heard him utter out your name, and he sounded like he was in pain, but you shook your head, not letting yourself be fooled into facing him again.

"I wont... forget you, my dear." He whispered, then you heard a few footsteps, and the door shut behind him.

You fell to the floor sobbing. "I would do anything to forget you."

 RING RING RING

It had been a whole year now since the fight between the two of you. No matter how much that had hurt you you still wanted to see him. You needed him.

But after He left you you decided it was time to become independent. You'd only realized how much you relied on the hero after he left you, before you met Toshi you were in the hero course at UA. You were in class 1A, you had a great quirk when it came to most, if not all situations. Teleportation, when you were in the hero course it had always come in handy.

After you met Toshi you had dropped all of your training so you two could spend more time together, your schedules never allowed for either of you to have breaks. So you thought this was the best solution.

But now you decided it was time to finish that dream that you had started so long ago, you were going to become an official hero.

 RING RING RING

~ring ring ring ring ring~

After taking a shower and getting dressed for the day, your phone had started ringing without hesitation you picked up.

"H/N! We need you to report to location 23AZ, we have a villian attack. They have a mutation quirk! Be here quickly." You heard the voice of the police on the other end.

Unlike the other missions you had been on before, you had a strange feeling about this one. It was more than a gut feeling though, it felt dreadful.

You bit your lip with hesitation, you looked down at the phone that was in your hand and went to Toshi's contacts and clicked on messages.

Your heart ached as you looked at the last messages that were shared between the two of you.

Toshi: I have another mission today, I might be home late. But if your not awake when I get home, goodnight, I love you.Y/N: Alright. Be safe, I love you too.

You left out a shaky breath before you quickly typed out a message that you decided you were going to send before you got ready for the mission.

Y/N: I know you said that we were never going to see each other again, but I have a mission today, and I have a bad feeling about it. But if anything happens to me, I love you.

You hit send before you had time to rethink the whole message, You  quickly jumped into your hero costume. You quickly teleport-ed to the location you were given.

The moment you stepped out of the portal you saw at least 10 police cars around the area, some had police in them patrolling the area, looking for the criminal. Others were empty, I assumed that they went by foot to find the man. There were some buildings that had fallen due to the fight the man had to put up so he would net be caught.

I made two different portals, one on the roof of the tallest building in the area, the other in an area where I had caught many other criminals before, hoping that there was a possibility the man would be there.

I walked through the portal, as soon as I opened my eyes I was in one of the darker parts of the city. During my time as a hero I had caught at least 8 different criminals in this area.

I turned the corner, only to be met with the very eyes of the man I was looking for. As soon as he saw me, he turned his hand into the paw of a lion and scratched at my face, leaving four large and deep gashes on the side of my face.

I growled. as he ran away, blood was practically pouring from my face as I chased the man down the dark alleyway.

I created a portal right in front of the man, he held a shocked look on his face for a short moment after I was in front of him. But it quickly turned into anger as I tackled him to the ground.

I held him in a head lock, I was on the ground under the man as my arms was around the mans neck. His arms were scratching at my arm in hopes I would release my hold on him. But there was no luck, without me noticing he took a knife he had kept in his pocket and stabbed in into my side.

Even with the unalterable pain I was determined to keep the man in my grasp, I was determined to win. He pulled the knife out of my side and stabbed me once again, in the same area he had done before but this time he twisted it. I screamed as I go, he quickly jumped out of my arms and ran without looking back.

I laid on the dirty concrete ground, both of my arms clutching the new wound on my side, blood was pouring from all of the wounds that I had on my body, I could feel myself getting cold as the blood kept leaving my body.

With a small cry in pain I removed my hand from my side and grabbed my phone from my pocket, and dialed the one person who I needed to talk to one last time.

~ring ring ring~

"Hello?" The voice on the other end questioned. "Y/N Why are you calling me? And what did you mean by the text you sent earlier."

My breathing was heavy, small groans left my lips as the pain in my body seemed as though it was getting seemingly worse.

"Hey! Y/N Are you alright? Where are you!?" He shouted from the other end.

I assumed that he knew something was up by the way I was breathing.

"Stay where you are I'm coming to get you!"

The phone slid from your hand and fell to the concrete as soon as you heard his last words, you knew he wouldn't be able to get to you time. And you hated that.

You really didn't want to die. You had your whole life ahead pf you, and that was all going to be taken away from you by some lowlife criminal. It just wan't fair.

But you knew death was inevitable, the only reassurance you had was that fact that he still knew you loved him. That he knew that you had never stopped.

But you only wished that you would have been able to spend more time with him, that you could have said goodbye..

 DO I KNOW YOU?

It wasn't meant to go this way, but it did. And there was no way anyone could fix it this time. The boy that you spent over 8 years loving was gone and there was no guarantee I would ever get him back.

 DO I KNOW YOU?

"Hey Y/N I've gotta go, there's a villain in the city and I was just called in." The greenette called out as he slipped into his hero costume.

After his years at U.A He had finally managed to work his way up to being the number 1 hero, and you couldn't be any prouder of the boy. After all you had been with him through most of it.

You were the one who kept him going, but you didn't know that until he had proposed to you 2 years ago.

"Alright, be safe love." By now Izuku was fully suited up. You walked over to him and engulfed the man into a tight hug.

"I know, I will love." He said, and gently placed a loving kiss on the top of your head.

You both smiled at each other before he walked out of the door. Of course you had full confidence that he would be okay, but something in your gut was telling you otherwise.

You felt like something was going to go wrong.

You merely brushed the feeling off and started to work on the papers that you still needed to finish before your business deadline.

 DO I KNOW YOU?

Sighing and you leaned back in your chair, you took a mental break. It had been over 3 hours since Izuku left, usually he was able to get things like this handled in under an hour, maybe an hour and a half. But this was new, and it was making you nervous.

That feeling that you had earlier began to creep it's way back into your head, but this time it was harder to ignore.

"No, he's fine. He's dealt with something worse than a simple villain on the street. He is fine.

After taking some time to reassure yourself and sort through you thought, a buzz interrupted you.

You moved to pick up your phone, looking at the unknown number you almost didn't pick up, but something in your gut once again told you otherwise.

"Hello, is this Mrs. Midoriya?" A females voice sounded form the other end.

"Yes, this is. May I know who is asking?" My eyebrows were slightly furrowed in confusion.

"This is the Hosu City Hospital. We are calling to let you know that your husband Izuku Midoriya has been in an accident. He is currently in stable condition, but he is currently asleep." Her voice remained calm on the line.

I was the opposite. My heart was beating again my rib cage, my brain was thinking a mile per minute. I was frozen.

"Ma'am? Are you alright? I know this may be a lot to process, but you need to stay calm, like I said he is going to be alright. I promise you." Her voice was different than it was earlier, it was softer as she tried to comfort me over the call.

I let out a shaky breath, "Yes I'm alright, thank you." I politely said before ending the call and gathering a coat, my phone, and the car keys.

I needed to see him.

 DO I KNOW YOU?

Please be okay. Please be okay. God, please, please, please be okay.

You ran through the hospital department after being directed by the receptionist at the nurse's station. Everything was blurry in your teary eyes. Everything was white and made of steel and smelled like antiseptic alcohol; your nose was burning from it. Your heart was burning from the blood pumping through your body on an adrenaline high. Your lungs were burning as you tried to find the air to breathe.

After running through the bright white hallway, you finally made it to the room you were looking for. The heavy wooden door was closed, and you were scared of what you were going to see behind it. You lifter you hand to the handle, and released a breath before you pushed the door open.

Izuku was laying in a white hospital bed that was slightly upright. His eyes were closed with a bright white wound dressing wrapped around his head. His hair look just as messy as it usually did. His chest rose and fell with calm breaths, just the sight of him breathing gave you a small sense of relief.

"Izuku...." You quietly dragged the single chair in the room next to his bedside, trying not to let your face fall anymore than it already was as you shakily reached for his hand with both of yours. You laced his fingers with yours, almost afraid you were squeezing too hard, and intertwined your fingers with his.

You brought his hand up to your lips and gave it a small kiss, you knew he was going to wake up. Many different people had told you, but you were still so scared you were going to lose him. He was your other half, he completed you. And if he left, you would only be left as a shell as your former self.

Without realizing it, tears had fallen from your eyes, you closed your eyes hoping to get any kind of escape from the nightmare you were forced to call a reality.

A few hours later, you woke up with a sore back, slumped over in your chair and still holding onto Izuku's hand. You lifted your head from the side of his bed and looked up only to see him staring back at you.

Hope spread like little butterflies is your chest, "Izuku..?"

He was looking right into your E/C eyes with his beautiful green ones, you had always loved his eyes. They were your favorite part of him, they always showed what he was feeling, happiness, determination, sadness. But right now, you really wanted to look anywhere but his eyes, but they no longer looked like they held the love had had for you in his eyes anymore. No, now they were dull.

"Izuku?" You voice was small, the air that surrounded the both  you was so thick and cold, that it gave you goosebumps.

Usually when you were anywhere near the man, you felt warm and fuzzy. But now you were cold and scared, he was so close to you, but at the same time nowhere near you.

"Do I know you?"

And you were right. He wasn't anywhere near you.

Because he had forgotten you.

 1 STEP FORWARD 3 STEPS BACK [1]

You were hooked and there was noting you could do.

You met Bakugou exactly 5 years ago, at the ripe age of 15.

You fell in love with Bakugou at 16.

And you got together with Bakugou at the age of 17.

Everything was different back then, you were so in love, but so blind.

 1 STEP FORWARD 3 STEPS BACK [1]

Everything seemed so perfect. It was almost as if your relationship was the cliché movie. Together for nearly three years now, you had fallen in love with the best person you could've ever met.

But here you both were, sat on opposite sides of your dining room, the room was filled with silence and thick tension. Dinner was on table, but neither of you had touched your plates.

"Why are you bringing this up again? I'm the one who works so that we can support ourselves!" Katsuki shouts at you from where he sits at the table.

You had lost count on how many times this subject had come up in your conversation with him. But you needed him to understand your side, he was never home. And when he was he never wanted to be near you, he claimed it was 'his day off'.

So then that would usually lead to an argument, then you would ignore each other for a week, which would then lead to another argument, and finally angry makeup sex.

"Katsuki, it's not about that! It's about the fact that you never spend time with me! And when you have the chance to, you tell me to fuck off!"

"I cant do this right now. There's always something going on with you. I need to fucking breathe for a single fucking minute!" His breathes were heavy and annoyed as he stood up from the table, grabbing a jacket and his car keys as he walked out of the door, slamming it behind him.

You stayed at the table, silent tears falling down your cheeks and landing on your plate full of food.

Truth be told, you can't even remember when these arguments started to become so common got the both of you. But as Katsuki walked out of that door, something finally hit you, you were done. The moment the ash blonde had walked out of the door, he had walked away from you, from your relationship.

Bakugou was as moody as a teenager, one minute you would both be laying together in bed watching some kind of movie, not that it mattered because you would both be paying attention to one another rather than the movie. And the next minute he would be shouting in your face, then leaving you in tears, only to come back and start the cycle over again.

But you were done.

You put both plates on the counter, then wrote him a note, saying that you were done with this.

Bakugou,

You know how much I love you, and how much I always will. Bit I just can't keep doing this anymore. The relationship we used to have was so full of love, but now it's all gone. And neither of us can bring it back no matter how hard we try. This is the only option, and its the best option. For the both of us. Don't try to contact me. Take care of yourself Bakugou.

Love, Y/N

You gently fold the note, and place it in the middle of the dining table for him to see. Now the only thing left for you was to pack you bags and leave.

As tears clouded you vision, you zipped up your last suitcase, and walked out of the door for the final time.

You were ending this painful cycle that the two of you were both trapped in. It was always 1 step forward and 3 steps back, you were both just not meant for each other, because if this lasted any longer it will only lead to more heartbreak than there already is.

Now here you are, 5 years of your life down the drain.

Goodbye Katsuki Bakugou.

Bakugou's Pov

Once the door slammed behind me a painful feeling settled in my chest. And I hated it, it was worse than any injury I'd ever had. Nothing compared to this.

I had no particular destination in mind as I drove, I just needed a minute to be alone with my thoughts, I didn't mean any of the shit that I said back there, I fuckin' loved Y/N.

My grip on the the steering wheel became stronger, making my knuckles turn white. A deep sigh left my throat, I knew that I would have to face them again.

I took a left and pulled into an empty parking lot so that I would be able to turn around.

The drive back was worse. My heart ached as different scenarios of how this could turn out played in my head.

We could just work this out, and I would make sure I changed for the better

Or it would end up with them leaving me for good.

My faced pulled into a frown at the thought of the second probability. No, that won't happen, I'll make sure of it. As soon as I get home I'm going to apologize, and make sure this never happens again, because I love them too fukin' much to lose them.

 1 STEP FORWARD 3 STEPS BACK [2]

Once I pulled into our driveway I quickly got out of the car and semi-jogged to the door. After unlocking it I quietly walked inside.

"Y/N?" No reply.

maybe they're sleeping. I pulled out my phone and looked at the time, it was currently 10:55. I mean it would make sense.

As I pocketed my phone I walked towards out shared bedroom and turned on  small lamp that was near the door.

My heart picked up the pace one I saw they weren't there. Bathroom, they have to be there.

I walked further down the hallway before I stood before the bathroom door, "Y/N?" I asked while I knocked gently on the door. "I'm coming in alright?" I waited a moment for a reply, but got nothing.

I opened the door enough to fit my head in, after looking around the aching feeling in my chest came back. But now it was stronger.

"Y/N!" I was shouting now, my heat was pounding in my chest. My brain was only producing negative thoughts as I looked through our whole house.

After looking in the bedroom once more I noticed something i hadn't before. Their stuff was gone, all of their clothes. Everything.

My heart had dropped, I walked back in to our dining room where the fight we had lass then half and hour ago took place.

And that was when I noticed a single piece of paper and a black velvet box on the table. My chest was pounding, and my heart felt like it was being stabbed over and over and I put everything together.

With teary eyes I picked up the note and read it.

Love, Y/N

Tears rolled down my face, I had really done it this time hadn't I. They were gone and it was entirely my fault, my pride and ego got in the way of the only relationship I've ever cared about.

Sobs left my lips as I read the letter once again hoping this was some kind of sick prank, that this was their way of getting revenge on me.

"Haha Y/N. Very funny! You cam come out now!" My voice broke, I knew this wasn't a prank. It was real, this was my punishment.

But the worst part was that I fully deserved it. I was the downfall of us, I was the one who pushed them aside, I was the one who made them leave.

"I'm s-so sorry." My voice was barely above a whisper, sobs racked my whole body as I sat in the chair that Y/N sat in earlier.

Memories flashed through my head.

The first time I met them at U.A, our first date and the many others that followed, when we moved in together, and when I proposed to them.

I had the rest of our lives together planned out, but I didn't plan for this. But how could I? We both thought we would be together forever.

But I guess we were both wrong.

 HOPE UR OK

It had been a week since you saw Tomura. You were worried, but not overly. You knew the man could handle himself, after all of the shit he's been through, he was practically a pro. But that never stopped you from worrying about him.

After all, he and anyone else that was involved with Lov were being hunted down.

"N/N? You okay?" A perky blonde looked at you with concern in her eyes.

"Oh, yeah I'm fine Himiko. Just worried about Tomura and Dabi, you know?" You look at the girl with a soft smile on your lips to reassure her.

After first joining the Lov you had no one on your side because they didn't know weather they could trust you. After a week spet by yourself, Himiko was the first one to reach out to you. When you first atsrted talking to her you got quickly fed up with the girl. But not too soon after she became your best friend

"Awe~ C'mon N/N you know those boys can handle themselves! If anything you should be worried about the people they run into!" She giggled near the end of her sentence, which had also managed to get a laugh out of me.

"There they are! The Y/N that I know and love~" She gave me a tight hug.

"Thanks Himiko." I smiled at the girl.

"Of course! Sorry to ditch you, but I've gotta go cut some people up, I'm a little low on blood. You know?" She grinned at me.

II grinned back before motioning my hand towards the door, "Have fun~."

Once she left I was once again left alone in my room. I sighed and laid down, my legs hanging of the edge of the bed.

"Come home Tomura, at least in once piece." I mumbled to myself, managing to make myself grin at my own joke.

 HOPE UR OK

A loud slam made wake up from my short nap, adrenaline coursing through my body because of the sudden scare. I got up from the old bed and walked out of Tomura and I's shared room.

My heart beats a little faster after seeing that Tomura was walking through the door, and he looked okay.

"Tomura!" I shout as I walk into the bar area, he looks up as he takes off his hand, and opens his arms for me to give him a hug,

I walk over to him and land in his arms, as I wrap my around him. He places his hands around me, making sure only four fingers are touching me on both of his hands.

"Hey darling." His voice was raspy as usual, but it also sounded so broken.

I pulled away slightly and look him in the eyes, "Are you alright?"

He remained silent for a few moments before finally speaking, "Uh, it's just something that happened on the mission. No big deal." He blatantly say before pulling me back into him.

He's trying to keep me at a distance, like he always has.

Usually I can understand why, but now there's no reason for him to feel the need to. We basically know each other inside out. So why.

I pulled away from him once more, and he let out a frustrated sigh, "Y/N will you just leave it alone?" He couldn't even look me in the eye.

"No, Tomura. Ever since you came back from that mission something has been up with you. So stop trying to push me away, and tell me." Your eyes were narrowed, looking right into his crimson eyes.

He huffed as he grabbed your arm and pulled you into your shared room. "Y/N." He sighed, closing the door behind the both of you.

You both took a seat of the edge of the bed. You looked at him with a gentle gaze, "Just tell me." Your voice was soft as you spoke.

He finally looked you in the eyes fro the first time since coming back. "Y/N.." His voice wavered as he barely managed to speak your name. "I know I should be used to doing this, but we saw some fucked up shit last week." His eyes has small tears in the corners of his eyes.

You stayed silent, only making sure he knew that you were listening to what he was saying.

"There was this.. kid. He- he was only around 9 years old. But... he was just like me.." He looked back at you, more tears in his eyes than before.

You slowly nodded and kept your eyes on him.

"His parents had called us to kill him.. he was only 9, and they wanted him dead because of his quirk. It was.. deadly, like mine. All he had to do was sing and it drove you to suicide." He was looking down again. "His parents were terrified of it, so they made us kill him."

His eyes had anger in them now.

"And we did. Well, Dabi did. I couldn't do it. Not after looking at him and seeing myself." Tears fell from his eyes as he spoke, and it broke my heart to see him like this.

"Hey.." I grabbed his cheeks in my hands and made him look me in the eye, "Your okay now, they can't get to you. They're gone." My voice was quiet.

He put his hands on mine, keeping only four fingers on them at a time, "I know." He sniffles "I know." A soft smile played on his lips, making my own smile appear.

"I love you." He put his forehead against mine.

"I love you too Tomura. And aI hope you know how proud I am of you right?" A soft smile played onto my lips.

"Why are you proud?" He slightly pulled his head away from mine.

"Because I know how hard it was for you to unleard all of your parents hatred." I looked him in the eye, slowly leaning in to capture his lips in mine.

Well, I hope you know how proud I am you were created With the courage to unlearn all of their hatred God, I hope that you're happier today 'Cause I love you, and I hope that you're okay

𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲: Daddy Issues (remix) by The Neighborhood feat. Syd

 DADDY ISSUES

By now the burning feeling in the back of your throat wasn't anything new, nor was the stress of holding in your tears. After having to deal with your parents for sixteen years, it was habit.

Your whole life you were surrounded by yelling, stress, and anger. Always getting yelled at for the littlest things and trying to hold your tears in, it never worked of course.

Your dad was involved in your life when he had to be, but other than that you practically never saw him.

A few months ago you learned that you dad had been cheating on your mom but it wasn't a one time thing, he had been doing it for months. After she learned on this she threatened to get a divorce, but all my dad had to do to get her to stay was pay her monthly.

And because of this you were always left wondering if your parents were going to actually divorce like they said they would many times.

You often found yourself thinking that you would never actually experience what it's like to be loved, or appreciated.

And you were okay with that. After seeing how your parents relationship was, you were scared of having a romantic relationship with anyone.

Scared to fall in love, only to fight and argue constantly; then fall out of love.

You were scared of getting hurt.

It was officially your parents fault that you were scared of love, seeing how love didn't exactly work for them, why would it be any different for you.

 DADDY ISSUES

"Hey, how've you been? We haven't talked lately." A males voice said from over my shoulder.

I jumped in shock, nearly falling off the park bench before quickly turning my had to look at the source of the voice. Shinso Hitoshi, his purple hair was as vibrant as ever.

A soft smile tugged at my lips, "Hey, just the usual. Sorry about being so flaky recently, there was a family emergency." It was sad how easily that lie slipped out of my mouth.

Even after being friends with Shinso for over 3 years, he still has no clue about my parents and their problems.

But I just didn't want to talk about it at school. It was my getaway from home, from all the fights and insults. So if keeping Shinso in the dark about my home life meant it would stay that way, then why bother.

"Did something bad happen?" No, it's always been like this.

"Nothing too bad, my grandma just collapsed out of nowhere. So we were all with just in case." Another lie.

"Oh, is she alright." He asked, genuine concern evident in his voice.

"Yeah, it was just iron deficiency. I gave him another soft smile to reassure him about my 'poor grandmother'.

"Well that's good. By the way, do you want to hang out this weekend? We haven't done that in at least two weeks."

"Yeah sure, Your place."

"Uh, we can't. Our house is getting some remodeling done to it, so were going to have to go to yours." No. no. no. My heart dropped to my gut, nervousness seeped into my body.

"I don't think that'll work. My grandma is staying over." It was a believable lie right?

"That's okay. We can just hang out in your basement so we don't disturb her." Shit.

C'mon Y/N, you just need to tell him you can't do that.

"Yeah, I guess that'll work." You gave him a small smile.

But when it came to Shinso Hitoshi, you were weak. Yours problems didn't seem so bad when you were with him.

"Alright, see you later today?" He grinned at you as he got off off the bench.

"Yeah." You nodded at the boy. You stood up and gave him a quick hug before he walked away.

After you were sure he was out of sight, the smile you forced slipped of of your face as you slumped back on to the wooden bench, letting out a sigh.

Shit, he's gonna know now. You hands rubbed your face in frustration. Why couldn't you have just said no to him, it's only two letters, n - o.

But maybe part of me wanted him to know, so I would finally have someone to talk to about it so I wouldn't have to hold it in any longer.

I was reaching out for help, but I didn't even notice.

 DADDY ISSUES

I groaned, finally fed up with their fighting for the day. I stood up from my desk and walked over to get my earbuds, in hopes of being able to drown out some of the fighting with music.

Just as I was about to press play, my phone buzzed. My eyes were met with a text from Shinso

hey, I'm here. But it sounds like there's a lot of yelling, are you okay?

The burning sensation in the back of my throat started to appear again as tears threatened to spill.

He knows now. Now he's going to want me to tell him what's been happening.

I took a slow deep breath before going downstairs to let Shinso in. After I reached the bottom of the steps my dad spoke up.

"Who did you invite over? And why weren't we told." The irritation in his voice was clear as day.

No, he's never home. Why is he here?

After being so caught up in everything lately, I forgot to tell my parents I was having someone over. Fear started to fill my body, my voice was gone as I stood at the base of the steps frozen in fear.

Tears filled my eyes again as I tried to come up with an explanation, anything. But my mouth couldn't muster up any words as I stood there. I knew I was going to have to deal with the repercussions of my actions, and any insults they decide to throw at me knowing I won't talk back because they practically trained me not to.

Just as my mom was about to speak up, a knock came from the door. Shinso.

No, I really didn't want him to see me like this.

Just stop crying.

"Go ahead, let your friend in. And tell them you can't hang out today." He seemed so calm, and that only scared me more.

I finally moved from my spot at the bottom of the stairs, and opened the door.

I knew my eyes were red from the tears that had managed to slip out, he opened his mouth to say something but before he could get anything out I interrupted.

"Hey Shin, I just remembered I can't hang out today. But maybe late." I tried my best to muster up a smile.

Shinso only stood there, his brows were furrowed in confusion. I knew he had questions, but I closed the door before he could ask me anything.

Now I had to deal with my parents.

Or not.

I turned to look at my parents fro a moment, anger was evident on their faces. That only made my stomach churn, knowing what I was going to do next.

Before any words could be said, I ran to my room. My heart was throbbing in my chest, tears flooded my eyes.

I shut the door behind me and locked it. I heard my parents shouting as they walked towards my room.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

I was crying like a child at this point, finally regretting what I just did.

My phone was buzzing non-stop on my desk, I stood up wiping my eyes and grabbed it.

Hey, Y/N what's going on?Are you okay?Y/N please answer, I need to know your okay. Please

His texts only made me cry harder, and I finally felt something I hadn't felt in a long time.

I felt loved, not by my parents. But by a person who I had only known for three years.

Kirishima knew that he would get hurt in the end. He saw how you looked at Bakugou whenever he was in the room, your eyes full of adoration and love. But he couldn't help how his heart skipped a beat whenever you spoke to him.

So here he was, at a table with everyone from class 1-A for a reunion dinner planned months in advance. He sat next to Bakugou, who was seated across from you, only making it easier for you to keep your eyes on him.

As the waiter walked past Y/N raised her hand to gain the waiter's attention, "Hi, can I get a glass of chardonnay?" A polite smiled played on your lips.

The waiter gave your a curt nod before walking into the kitchen.

After that your eyes went right back to Bakugou, they were always on Bakugou.

Kirishima's heart ached at the thought of knowing that you'll never be his. That your heart will always belong to Bakugou.

That he will only ever be a side character in your love story with Bakugou.

 WISH YOU WERE SOBER

Glass after glass your senses were becoming duller, and it seemed to become harder to control your own body.

"Hey, hey we should hangout at my house." You blurted out. And even though the words were directed towards everyone, his heart skipped another beat.

"I don't think I can, I have early watch tomorrow." Mina spoke out, most of the others couldn't either due to prior plans, or work.

"I don't think I'll be able to either, but we can plan something later?" Bakugou spoke up.

Kirishima didn't miss the dejected look in your eyes, nor the way they sparkled when he practically asked you out.

"Yeah, that's be great." A kind smiled tugged at the corners of your lips.

Kirishima made sure he kept a smile on his face even though he felt liked he wanted to cry. It wasn't fair, he had feelings for you before Bakugou even knew you existed.

He was always there for you.

But as always, he once again came in second to the fiery blonde.

"Also, Y/N do you need a ride? You shouldn't be driving right now." Bakugou offered.

"Oh, I can take her. I know she lives a little far from you and her house is only 5 minutes from mine."

There was a silence between the three of you before Bakugou spoke up, "Yeah. Thanks Kirishima." Bakugou patted Kirishima on the shoulder, his eyes were locked with the redhead's giving him a silent warning before removing his hand.

Mine

"I'll see you later Y/N." You pulled him into a hug, missing the smile on Kirishima's face fall for a moment.

"Well we should get going."

You gave a lop-sided smile, along with a loopy nod before starting to walk towards the door, Kirishima close behind leaving Bakugou behind.

 WISH YOU WERE SOBER

The parking lot was empty, not a surprise though considering how late it was. 11:24pm

It didn't take either of you long to find his car, a bright red land Rover parked in the middle of the deserted lot. The keys jingled in his hand as he pressed the unlock button of the key fob.

You both climbed into your respective seats. You, the passenger, and he the driver.

Once you were both buckled he pressed the start button next to the steering wheel, he wasn't even able to put the car in drive before you called his name.

"Hey... Kiri.."You voice was small, barely audible.

"Yeah, what's up? You okay Y/N?"

He sat in silence, butterflies in his stomach as he waited for you to finish what you were saying.

You looked towards him, your E/C eyes were sparkling in the moonlight, leaving the redhead speechless.

And you leaned towards him, tilting your head to the side until your lips finally met.

Kirishima's heart was doing flips, had you really chose him? Was he wrong the whole time? Did you actually like him instead of-

"Bakugou~" You moaned into the kiss.

His heart shattered right then and there.

It wasn't him, of course. It never was, nor was it ever going to be.

Once again you had gotten his hopes up, and brought them down. But this time it stung, because you didn't want to kiss him, you wanted to kiss Bakugou.

He pulled away from you, a deep ache in his heart.

'Real sweet but I wish you were sober' He thought as he put the car in drive, knowing that once you wake up tomorrow you won't even be able to remember the kiss.

You and Hawks had been together for 3 years, engaged for 1 1/2. And they have been the best 3 years of your life, you finally met your soulmate and were going to spend the rest of your life with him.

Or so you thought

 SHE KNOWS

A week ago a fight had sparked between the two of you, it was because You'd noticed he was starting to get close with his assistant Ichigo, too close.

You were never a jealous person, and you knew things like this would happen. But the final straw was when he had left his phone at home and you went to return it, but when you'd walked into his office you saw him sitting in his desk chair while Ichigo gave him a shoulder massage.

The worst part was that he didn't even look slightly uncomfortable, he was loving it.

You had a mix of emotions, confused, angry, sad.

But no, this wasn't the only time you had noticed Keigo being close to other girls; waiters, co-workers, even your friends. And each time you stayed quiet because you knew he would never actually do anything with them.

But now you were done.

"Hey Keigo, I have a quick question."

He was in the kitchen looking through the fridge when you finally decided you were going to confront him.

"Yeah." His head was poking through the top shelf of the fridge.

"You know I trust you, I really do. But I saw that you and Ichigo have been getting... close. And I just wanted to know if something was going on between you guys."

He pulled his head out of the fridge and looked at you with an annoyed expression, "Y/N what the hell? You know that I love you. So why would you even suggest such a thing?"

A soft sigh left your lips, "I'm not saying that Kei, I just wanted to know why you two were getting so close."

"Y/N, she's my assistant of course I need to be around her. I just don't understand why you would think I'd ever cheat?"

"No, Kei I don't-" He scoffed.

"Yes, yes you do Y/N. You think that I'm cheating on you. You know what? go ahead." He closed the fridge door and walked towards the bedroom the two of you shared.

You stood the the dim kitchen wondering where the conversation went wrong. You knew he was right, so why did you accuse him?

 SHE KNOWS

Now you knew, you were right the entire time.

"Ah~ hawks! Fuck!"

"Yeah, you like it when I fuck you like the bitch you are huh babe?"

And here you stood, a plain expression on your face. You knew you should have done something in that moment, but you just couldn't.

so instead you walked back out to your car and waited.

While you waited emotions started to fill your body like they did the night you tried to confront him.

Tears freely fell down your face as the realization finally hit.

He was never fully yours.

 SHE KNOWS

You cried for what felt like hours until someone caught your eye, it was Ichigo leaving your house, shoes in her left hand, and jacket in the other. Only a few buttons on her blouse were buttoned.

You watched as she walked towards her car that was parked around the corner, and out of view.

A heavy sigh left your lips.

You decided it was best to wait a few minutes before going inside. So you used that time to prepare yourself you wiped away the tears that were left on your face and took a few deep breaths.

You grabbed your jacket and your bag, and went inside just like you usually would.

"Hey, babe I'm back." The word left a bitter taste in your mouth now that you knew about hawks and Ichigo.

You heard a thump from the bedroom before hawks walked out, "Hey, there's my girl." A big smile took place on his face.

It made you want to gag.

"How was work? Anything interesting happen?" His arms wrapped around you from behind you.

You plastered on a smile before turning around and wrapping your arms around him too, "It was fun, although it was a bit of a shock to see you and Ichigo in the bed we sleep in. The same bed where we have sex, the same place I told you my most personal shit."

Hawks was frozen in fear and shock

She knows, she knows, and I know she knows.

"Listen I know what you saw seemed bad but-" He tried to reason with you, but there was no use.

"Seemed bad!? No hawks! It was bad! You fucked your assistant in our bed! I have done nothing but give you everything, and you treat me like shit behind my back!?"

Hawks didn't know what to do, he was in it deep this time. And now there was no way fro him to get out, he was going to lose you for good and it was entirely his fault.

"Please just listen, I never meant for you to find out." He was pleading, anything to get you to stay with him.

He knew how lucky he was to have found you, you put up with his bullshit, you understood how his hero work kept him busy, and you were always with him no matter the situation.

"Never meant for me to find out? Hah, I'm fucking glad I caught you balls deep inside her, because at least now I won't be with someone whose gonna' treat me like shit and lie about it."

His heart was racing in his chest, and it felt like hos other half was being torn away from him, and all he could do was watch.

"I'm done." Whatever hope he had left in his heart had shattered, you were done with him.

My body felt numb as I sat at the table, a pen and a piece of paper in front of me.

For ten minutes I've been sitting at the table trying to find the right words to use, the words that would tell anyone who reads them why I died.

I'm writing you this message just so I can say that I love you I had to let you know that everything about me was you

With a heavy heart I finally gathered the courage to pick the pen up and start what felt like he hardest thing I've ever had to do.

Dear Y/N,

I just want to tell you that i love you with every fiber in my being, and I always will no matter what.

But I can no longer go on like this, nothing I do anymore feels right and I can't seem to justify any of my actions anymore. But I need you to know that you have given me the greatest possible happiness.

I think it's time for me to leave but I'll never leave you I just looked at your pictures so the last thing I did was see you

You ought to know, you were my best friend. You were. I know you loved me. I loved you. No one should have gone through what we went through, but we did. And it kills me whenever I think about it.

I know you’ll miss me, but don’t. I am the lowest being that there’ll ever be; you should live your life without me. I promise you’ll be able to move on. I’ll be in your heart always. no matter what.

I'm twenty-nine, my anxiety's eating me alive I'm fighting with myself and my sobriety every night And last time I couldn't barely open up my eyes, I apologize

I'm leaving you. I hope in the next life I will have a better childhood, parents, and friends. I hope the next life is better than this life, I hope it's not as sad as this life.

I wish that I would have gotten the help I needed. I wish I was able to open up and be able to cry. I wish the world was fair. But It's not. And I'm sorry. I hope you can understand why I'm leaving, though it may take a while.

I'm not gonna lie and tell you it's alright, it's alright You're gonna cry and, baby, that's alright, it's alright

I'm sorry for the pain I'm going to put you through. It's my fault your going to be sad now.

I'm not going to try and tell you to move on like I should, because I don't want you to. I know it sounds selfish, but even though I'm leaving, I don't want you to forget about me.

It would be easier to tell you that my death is no big deal, and that you'll be okay, but you know I hate lying to you.

You're gonna cry and, baby, that's alright, it's alright

I don't want you to hate me for what is already done, and I don't want you to cry, but I know you will.

I wanted to stay with you forever, I wanted you to be my forever. But fate had other plans for us.

I hope you get to go to all the places that I showed you When I was on the road and couldn't be home to hold you

I know I wasn't always there for you when you needed me to be. And for that I'm sorry.

I tried to make good things in my life and all of that is a fucking mistake, I cant even look people in the eyes anymore, I have lost confidence in myself.

Part of me doesn't want this cruel world to know you So just try and keep in mind everything that I told you

I know when you think about how I went, you'll get it. I was always uneasy about being alive. The idea of being dead makes me feel clear. When I think of it. It makes me think peace.

There used to be days that I thought I was okay, or at least that I was going to be. We'd be hanging out somewhere and everything would just fit right and I would think 'it will be okay if it can just be like this forever' but of course nothing can ever stay just how it is forever.

I'm twenty-nine and society's eating me alive I'm fighting what comes this notoriety every night This is the last time I'll ever open up my eyes, I apologize

This letter will be the last time you ever hear from me, but I don't believe that this is truly the end for us. I believe there is another world waiting for us. A better world, and I’ll be waiting for you there.

I'll wait as long as it takes.

And I'll miss you

Falling for a pro hero was easy, it was like breathing, it just happened naturally.

Even with his strict schedule, he always managed to make time just for you, only making you fall for him even harder.

He was always protective over you, as he got older he became less shy and more open about voicing his opinions, meaning he had no trouble telling you how he felt about some of the people you would go out with.

He had even gone as far as keeping other men away from you when you were together.

After all of this, how could you not fall in love with him?

So finally after agonizing weeks, maybe even months of keeping your feeling secret, you were finally going to tell him.

You had finally decided that you were going to tell Izuku that you love him, when a notification popped up on your phone.

It was about a recent interview with the pro hero Deku, and some new breaking news.

After quickly clicking on the article, you felt your heart shatter in your chest.

"Pro hero Deku tells reporters about his recent engagement and plans for his future.."

Engagement? You didn't even know he was dating anyone, let alone having plans to get engaged.

It was at this moment you realized that you never even had a chance with the boy, he was a pro hero and you were a mere civilian.

All that you would ever be to the hero was a friend.
