"It Would've Been You
"It would've been you
with Floyd Leech, Jade Leech"

Of course it wasn't him. 'Floyd Leech was an unpredictable psycho' in everyone else's eyes. But he was so sure that you thought differently of him. So why? Why were you holding Jade's hand instead. Why were you so insistent on leaning on his shoulder? If he was chaotic, Jade was fucking insane.
"Floyd, you haven't eaten today," Jade gently tried to pry into his brother's side in the room. He was met with a pillow being thrown in his direction, and a string of muffled curses. "Pardon?"
Floyd threw the pillow that held his head up prior, and yelled. "You stole Shrimpy! My shirmpy!" Jade's eyes widened. "We were meant to be together, I just know it! But then you came in and fucked it all up for us!"
At a loss for words, Jade stood in shock, failing to dodge the stuffed animal thrown at him. It didn't hurt, but he still felt an ache in his body. It was one of a duo that you offered the twins as you became friends. Jade was oblivious to either of your feelings back then. Yours or Floyd's.
"Floyd I-," but he was stopped.
"You stole them, you douche." Floyd got up from his bed, with a scowl on his face. "And I hope your relationship crashes and burns."

"Flufftober 2024 (Night Walk)
with Lilia Vanrouge"

Malleus wasn't there to accompany you on your typical nightly walk, which didn't bother you all that much. It certainly didn't prevent you from enjoying the crisp autumn wind on your skin. Even the little goosebumps that littered your arms brought a sense of comfort.
"It's quite chilly for you, don't you think?" A smile graced your lips at his attempt to scare you. Lilia, of course.
You'd taken a liking to the fae, even despite his insistence that he's only by your side to keep you out of trouble. It's endearing, how he seems to be by your side any moment you figure you're by yourself.
Turning to face him, you held out your hand. "Would you like to join me?" He chuckled at the sight. You weren't afraid of him. You never appeared to be. "Perhaps you can keep me warm."
You'd be a fool to overlook the smirk that spread over his features. The look you've grown to adore from him. One full of mischief.
"How intriguing you are, [name]. Not afraid of an old bat like me in the slightest. I'd fall for your advances if I wasn't so familiar with your tactics." He didn't take your outstretched hand, instead walking around you, following the trail you seemed set on following. "But, I suppose I can indulge this once."

"Harness
with Wanderer"

The world was cruel to him, proving there was no point in being kind, much less trying to build bonds with others. Relationships only showed the aged puppet that there was no use in trusting a human who sought to destroy and discard you.
The life set out for him did not involve or include any space for another being. The only one in this wretched world he can rely on is himself. And even with that ally, he almost failed to make it to where he stood currently.
Yet, there was an unaccounted variable. In all the mess of his new persona at the akedemiya, he failed to take into perspective how persistent you were. Desperate to befriend this unknown hat-bearer.
It bothered him to no end, seeing you out of his peripheral vision. He wanted to yell at you to scram. But he couldn't. You were his partner for this new project assigned.
"Let's get one thing clear here." Anger brimming in his low voice, he didn't care to address you in the eyes. He knew you were listening by the way your stupid pencil fell from your fingers. "I don't need any companion, so stop loitering in my presence after this assignment. Understood?"
Your heart raced, stinging from the rejection of the guy you only wanted to seek as a friend. But you knew better than to persist any further. Not all stories work out. Especially for students like you.
"Got it, hat guy."

I highly admire writers . . .

who are able to focus on their works long enough to produce genuine stories. I always second guess the quality of my efforts, and it causes me to simply just write blurbs or drabbles. I don't dislike the way I write necessarily. I just wish I was able to form more solidified thoughts and express them properly

I may plan to write more of random thoughts on this blog, since my content is typically from my queue
"I have to break your heart
with Ace Trappola, Deuce Spade"

Taking accountability for your decision to leave is cruel, don’t you think? Acknowledging how you hurt others, but refusing to apologize. What is the point in saying sorry when there's no effort to change?
Each moment you pitched to others the idea that you were completely alone, you dismissed those who loved you. You forfeit the relationships and connections you handmade with those individuals. And it’s clear for a fact you didn’t try to care. Sneaking away from those who truly do love you for others who couldn’t care less about your absence.
You can go back to a person. Again and again and again. But you cannot make them care.
Your false sacrifices will not make them love you.
You can leave, go to where you perceive 'home' as. But do not expect your family to be there, waiting.

"Held memories
with Lilia Vanrouge"

"You used to have long hair?" The fae on your chest, peeks up at you with a grin. Every time you asked a question in regards to his past, he felt a sense of nostalgia. It used to scare him, but he'd grown more used to the emotion as you two progressed in this easy-going relationship.
With a chuckle, he nodded. "Yes, you are correct. Although, I'm rather curious as to how you found out."
His eyes widened briefly as you reached a hand up to tuck his stray locks behind his ears. He wasn't one to get flustered, but he would be lying if he denied your doting movements made his heart skip a beat.
You cupped his face and he relaxed into your touch. "You know how they say hair holds memories, Lilia?" He hummed softly, still preoccupied in your warm hands.
"Is that what they're saying nowadays?" When he cracked his eyes open to see your genuine and sincere expression, he giggled once more. "Well, let's just say I have some memories I'd prefer to forget, and leave it at that, hm?"
Despite your growing curiosity for his lack of explanation, you decided against prying. Maybe one day, he'd indulge your need for answers.
