Me gots a question.
for me, being plural feels like so much more than āsharing a body.ā its sharing a life.
this isnāt a hot take or anything, itās just my own personal experience. we live in the same room, we strive towards the same goals, we maintain the same relationships, we look after each other so our lives, collectively and individually, are as happy as can be.
saying we merely share a body feels like if you lived with a partner (or similar close relationship) and referred to it as only āliving together,ā rather than having a long-term life that you share together. it almost feels like downplaying the impact of our system in the external world.
thatās entirely how i feel though, im speaking as a small system w/ managed/treated DID without one particular āhost.ā i donāt think feeling different is wrong or anything. in fact, im interested to hear why other systems favour the words āsharing a bodyā over āsharing a life!ā i love hearing other peopleās experiences, different and similar to mine.
plurality is such a vast spectrum of experience, disordered or otherwise. the brain is a damn funky little thing, i love it

Donāt trauma dump on the internet. No matter how upset you are. Write it in a journal first, calm down, and then reread it later. If you still want to share it, share it.
Donāt be like Ghost and post a bunch of stuff on the internet, reread it, and then immediately delete the message as you realize itās not something you should share with everyone and their mother.

Youāre not wrong for defending yourself. Be selfish. Take pride in yourself. Live a life youāre proud of, and donāt let anyone elseās negative view of you bring you down. Because this is your life.
Itās your life. If theyāre not happy with it, itās not their problem.
Iām apart of a system that struggles to defend themselves. Protectors sometimes fail to do this because other alters hold them back in fear of being perceived in a negative light.
But you donāt need to worry about that.
Today, I want you to make a list of the things you can and canāt control in your life. The things you have no control over? Donāt worry about them. Now, itāll hurt when those things donāt go your way. Thatās fine. Itās normal, even. But you should put more of your focus on what you can control.
Weāre starting a new journal to help our mental health. Iām going to post the exercises weāre doing so that you may join us as we try and improve our mental health and self-confidence.
