What Is Really Ironic Is That The Episode "Lancelot Du Lac" Is One I Just Can't Get Myself To Watch,
What is really ironic is that the episode "Lancelot du Lac" is one I just can't get myself to watch, even though one of my most adored characters is coming back from dead. But the episode where the insufferable Uther comes back brings me actual joy.
They really brought Lance back to paint as this dishonourable homewrecker who would kiss the knigdom's soon to be queen literally the night before the wedding, ruining his reputation forever. They also made Gwen appear as a cheater who would betray her soon to be husband literally the night before her wedding day. The scene in which her and Arthur fight in the courtroom broke my heart. They don't explain that the monster was sent by Morgana as a shade version of our beloved Lancelot or even that Gwen was drawn to him because of the enchanted bracelet. Also, the fact that Melrin had to say goodbye to his friend again. The way I sobbed when Merlin performed the spell to free Lancelot from Morgana's control. The way Lance said "Thank you" broke my heart for he at least got to die as himself, next to his friend and peacefully.
Now for when Uther comes back, I just really like the fact that Arthur finally realises that his father has always been and will always be an abusive piece of $h!t, as well as a murderer. Arthur gets to let go of those expectations he had set for himself thinking that he could get his father's approval, that he would finally make him proud. He decides to set his own path, as he himself says "You've had your turn. Now it's mine.". Camelot is his to rule now and to command as he sees fit. He knows he can't please his father and has to be true to himself. What is also great is Merlin ,later on, says that Uther did what he thought was best for the kingdom (which i believe in his own twisted mind could be true) mainly trying to appease his friend, but Arthur just deadpans "It doesn't mean he was right." And I believe it stuck with me because it felt like the first time Arthur truly acknowledges his father's faults, especially in front of another person. I truly loved it. This episode is also so precious because of the poetry scene iykyk lol.

Comfort character or character who needs the most comfort ?

It’s all inevitable and all his fault
The sun was setting down, and the breeze was so comforting.
"Hyaah ! Nice, finishing this expedition with my 50th kill, "you shouted excitedly as you settled down on top of a roof.
Too caught up in your celebration, you failed to notice the 7 meter titan coming towards you. It wasn't until he was too close, obscuring you from the golden hour that you finally turned around.
Not losing your cool, you pulled out your blades, ready to fight. Suddenly, the titan collapsed, and blood streamed down its back.
"My lady," Levi was standing next to you, bowing slightly to kiss the back of your hand.
"You have to stop with your knight in shining armour act." he grinned, couldn't help but admire how adorable you looked, blushing and looking away.
"Makes you wanna pop the question, huh ?" His smirk was loud and clear.
You, of course, couldn't let him get away with this. "Makes me wanna pop a child."
Levi has never looked so taken aback. He was as red as a tomato.
"Hey, lovebirds, come on, we have to leave before it becomes too dark out." Moblit yelled while struggling to get Hange out of those filthy creature's mouths.
"Come on, you brat, let's fall back,"
He held your hand and took off. He was trying to look unaffected, but you could see the tiniest smile forming on his pretty face.
Before helping you get on your horse, he squeezed your hand and kissed your cheek.
"Congrats on getting your 50th kill. You did great out there, love."
"Thanks," you said, smiling softly, " need me to teach you some moves ?" You added jokingly.
"Don't get too full of yourself. Your head could get bigger," Levi replied nonchalantly
"Hey, not nice." You snapped
He just shrugged and took off.
"Come on, let's race," he said over his shoulder.
And you did just that. Of course, he let you win, and you knew it but still bragged and teased him like your life depended on it. And again, he let you, because how could he spoil your fun ? Especially when you smiled so brightly.
Levi + physical touch = me blushing.
You can't stop thinking about Captain Levi, whom you've had a crush on for a while now, helping you get on your horse by lifting you up with his hands on your hips. His touch lingering around your waist to help you get settled.
You've also noticed how your captain never misses a chance to pat your head. Sometimes, he goes so far as to ruffle your hair. Butterflies assume your stomach is a ballroom. Your cheeks redden, and the floor captivates you in a way like no other.
When the mess hall gets too crowded, your captain softly places his hand on the small of your back, guiding you through the gathering. Never leaving your side.
Besides, Captain Levi is often, if not always, sitting next to you. During meetings, he always saves you a seat. And if you must stand, then he would choose the closest chair to your being.
On special occasions, you would end up on the roof of hq. Seeking some peace and enjoying the view. Captain Levi ,having trouble sleeping, joins you when he spots you one night. It's become a recurring thing. You both meet on the roof after an exhausting day. One time, you end up falling asleep on his shoulder. You wake up at sunrise in the same state. One slight difference is that your captain is soundly sleeping, his head leaning on yours.
I strongly believe that Levi is the type who wouldn't realise his feelings for you(or rather would deny having said feelings towards anybody because he fears the consequences so much) until he sees you with some other guy. His fist is clenched, his gaze hardened, his heart hammering in his chest, disappointment creeping in as well as anger. He's furious, not at you, but at himself, for not having the courage to make the first move. He always thought you would be better off without him and all his issues and obviously the dangers that come with being his lover. But now, he knows. No one could ever love you, care for you, or protect you as well as he would.
I'm ridiculously fond of this man. Ughhhh!!
In season 4 of BBC Merlin, the episode where they have to face the "Lamia" is probably one of the biggest monstrosities I have ever witnessed. The way the knights treated Merlin was so mean, so appalling, so cruel. It broke my heart.
I am fully aware they were enchanted. Still when Leon starts coming for merlin saying that he's not a Knight, not a physician, that he's nothing but a servant, I seriously considered homicide.
I mean, technically, merlin was the court physicians apprentice first before Arthur's servant.
It hurts even more when I remember that at the beginning of the episode, Elyan stood up for him in front of the elder of the village.
I also can't help but think if Lancelot were there, Merlin could have used his magic to get him disenchanted or something, then help him find a way to slay the Lamia. But he was left alone.
Same goes for the episode where they visited a shrine the druids had made. The Knights made fun of it. Merlin looked so upset because they were making fun of his beliefs, his religion in a way. Alas, they couldn't know they were doing so, but it still doesn't make it any less hurtful. Especially when you remember that the victims the shrine was made for were probably unjustly executed at the hands of Uther. And again, if Lance was there, he probably could have said something to appease the air. But no, Merlin was left alone.
Damn it, I'm really in my feels( ^ω^)
