Cheetu would want an s/o that can feed his ego. Be amazed by his speed, his strength, compliment how hot he looks, tell him his chest is fluffy, be in awe of how tall he is compared to you, be in wonder of how quickly he created a new ability out of nowhere. His ego needs feeding.

He loves to impress you, with strength, new abilities, and speed. He will randomly pick you up and run you to someplace he wants to show you. He lives for your compliments and praise.

If he loses a fight and comes back to you feeling defeated, once he tells you about it, if you tell him it wasn't his fault and make it seem like it wasn't on his laziness that he lost, he will jump on you, trap you in a big hug and nuzzle your neck. (Run on sentence much?)

He'll probably lick you too. That's how cheetahs show affection.

So we know that most of the chimera ants left to be kings/queens. They find a mate. But would them repopulating be equal to how humans repopulate or even the number of babies? Cheetahs have 1 to 6 cubs. For chameleons its 8 to 30. Plus would they hatch from an egg? 😬

Oof, really it depends on the ant, their animal instinct, their personality, and who they mate with.

Let's take Flutter for an example.

Alright, he's a dragonfly chimera ant. Dragonflies can have up to 1,500 babies. If he found a mate who was capable of bearing that many young, (likely an egg layer) he probably would have that many kids or more. Given his serious nature towards the whole king and loyalty thing, blah blah blah, should he find said suitable mate, he would be likely to breed them often, because more offspring, means more soldiers, more power and more food.

Now let's take Meleoron.

Sure, chameleons can have up to 30 kids, and theoretically, given he found a mate that could carry that many kids, he could have that many or more.

His personality however, clashes completely with his animal instinct to breed. His personality is chill, awkward, and anxious. Nor does he seem the type to want kids at all. I honestly find it hard to picture him wanting children.

Plus, he doesn't want to become a king of his own either.

Next let's look at Zazan!

Zazan is female and theoretically would need to give live birth and have about 20 to 47 children at a time. But as seen onscreen, she can sting someone to mutate them and make them her sevant.

We also see from her personality and the way she "reproduces", that she would not be the type to want children, she prefers having servants. That's just how she is.

Next is Cheetu.

Cheetahs have about 1 to 6 cubs, on rare occasions, 8. Assuming he found a mate who could give live birth, he could have that many cubs or more. He acts heavily on his animal instincts and his ego.

His personality though, is confusing when it comes to reproducing. It's clearly a big deal in some way because of his instincts and he left because the queen couldn't reproduce anymore. But does he seem the type to want kids? Yes and no.

While breeding is a big deal, his personality conflicts that a little bit. But seeing how much his instincts influence him, he'd likely reproduce with his mate, though maybe only breed them once. One litter and he's good.

But still, that doesn't clarify exactly all the details for chimera ant reproduction. Some other ants could be able to mutate beings into mindless servants, or reproduce in ways that don't involve insemination or egg laying.

Some ants who's animal counterpart would give live birth, may give birth via egg laying. Not to mention some ants may want no young, whilst others would want as many as possible, and other ants stand in the middle ground.

Some ants reproduce asexually like Zazan and the chimera ant queen. There's also the possibility of being sterile, being asexual or gay.

It also comes down to their mate. They might be an egg layer, but their mate might be like Zazan. They might be an egg layer but their mate gives natural birth, that might work like a normal human birthing process though, since it's the female that has and lays eggs usually, so it's just be regular insemination.

If they mated with another ant, breeding may come easier because of the high chance of egg laying. But let's say they mated with humans. Ants that normally had offspring in the thousands within one birth, would be lucky to get 2 in one birth that takes nine months to get to.

Humans generally only produce 1 egg to be fertilized, sometimes two, any more than that is very rare. Plus some ants wouldn't be able to breed with humans because of incompatibility in breeding methods.

Plus, the child would either grow at the same speed and size as a human because of the human egg, or at the speed and size of an ant because of the chimera ant sperm. Obviously that wouldn't go well. Or a female ant carrying a humans child would be the same scenario, then it just comes down to the way they birth.

That doesn't even include what the kid would look like. Surely they would inherit features from their parents, but would what the mother eats affect her young like an ant mother would? I don't think it would, first of all the egg is human and the sperm only decides previously existing traits from the father. The mother also passes on her traits to the child. But the mother is not an ant. The only reason chimera ants pass on what they eat to their offspring is because they are chimera ants.

A human would only need worry about typical things during pregnancy, such as alchohol and smoking.

There are loads of factors and it's completely different for each chimera ant and their mate. So for some, they would maybe have 1 to 3 kids like most humans, but others would have a CLUSTER FUCK MORE! All depends on who births the young, and biology.
