I noticed how you liked asking the question asks so here's one for you! Since chimera ants are animal like/have animal characteristics, do you think they would do things that their animal does? They all have mating seasons? Meleoron sheds? Cheetu chirps?

I think it depends on the ant. Like, some of the stuff they did as animals would now be impossible due to their bodies being more humanoid or combined with some other species. But they definitely still have a lot of things they do that are more animalistic.

Meleoron probably sheds more than most humans, but not as much as a real chameleon. They shed to grow and keep clean. But he has no growing to do and doesn't need to do that to keep clean. His sheds are more like getting a light sunburn and peeling the skin off.

I 100% think Cheetu chirps. Imagine him hearing a distant chirp from some random thing and he just stops for a sec and fucking chirps back. Yes. Also, chirping for cheetahs is a sort of mating call.

Now picture him having an s/o who gets startled and when they do they squeak or chirp. He will think you're trying to get some dick when in fact you stubbed your toe.

He purrs too. It's really loud, but paired with his big furnace temperatured self, his fluff, comfy bed, cuddles, I'm already asleep.

I also think that's why he would be super happy to have a long term partner, especially if they ended up having a kid together and they stayed with him. Usually female cheetahs will pick a male, mate several times over maybe 2 days, and dip.

But for you to stay because you genuinely want to be around him? You get endless cuddles.

I think colt has like a mating dance thing. He knows it's weird and he doesn't do a whole dance thing, but he will be very bouncy. Probably shifting his weight around quickly. It just looks like calisthenics, but really he's into you.

He sings too. You can't tell me his voice wouldn't sound beautiful. I'm hearing him sing "once upon a december" in my brain right now.

He does get very horny during spring though. He keeps it under control with ease, but flirting gets him very flustered unlike usual.

Welfin is a little weird. Wolves howl and cannot resist howling when they hear another howl. If he hears one on tv or something, he doesn't howl, he hums it. It's high pitched and over dramatic. I can't even describe it as humming, he does the howl but with his mouth shut and a blank expression.

Yunju will kick you if you stand behind him. He can't always control it, he just will. It freaks him out. Plus he actually has to go to a horse place to get his hooves done. Self care!

He does have a better sense of smell with the snake tongue and all. Not as good as a snake but close enough.

Rule of thumb. DO NOT STARTLE IKALGO. HE WILL GET INK EVERYWHERE. Only his ink is more of the purple/blue ant blood color. He hates the ink thing. It's embarrassing.

I think they have all of the instincts, behaviors and conditions their animal self had, but only if their new bodies are compatible with them. They'll still get an urge to do things a certain way despite that.

Random Hxh Headcanon Time!

I think colt is a conjurer and his ability would be a sword and shield. We see him as the protector of 3 people through the show, all dear to him. He's a knight to those he cares for and would give up his life for them.

Because of the whole knight thing, the sword and shield would fit him perfectly.

His sword would either be plain and nothing noteworthy, or very pretty. Probably an elven style sword or a german two handed sword. Those swords are actually pretty big.

His shield would be a standard metal one but with some engravings on it. It would probably have a reference to "The Queen of Swords" on it. It's a tarot card and I think the queen thing is a good reference.

He would be dedicated to learning to wield the sword perfectly. He would probably take lessons if he could. He is determined to protect his loved one/s.

I honestly just really love the knight aesthetic for him!

-The whole pregnancy he's been worried for you and the beb

-He was in the delivery room with you

-He couldn't care less about if something is bloody, he wants to make sure you're going to be okay

-He's both terrified of somehthing going wrong and excited to meet your baby

-Not to mention the adrenaline is keeping him from feeling any pain right now

-Once the beb is born he's eager to see them but refuses to leave your side. If they have to take the baby to another room for clean up, you bet your ass he makes them leave the door open so he can keep an eye on the kid from your side. He's not about to have the kid mixed up with another and be given the wrong baby.

-Not like that would be possible anyways, the kid has tiny white wings. Kind of hard to get mixed up with another kid.

-Once you finally get to hold your baby is when the tears really start coming down

-You thought he was sobbing earlier? Oh no, that was only the beginning tears

-She has tiny wings like, and greenish curly hair, but apart from that looks just like you, even the same eyes. She does have the same forhead thing as Colt though.

-He'll wait for you to ask if he wants to hold her before holding her. He loves you both and knows that for humans the bond between mother and baby after birth is a big deal.

-But when you do ask, he'll be eager to hold her. He's very careful with her, holding her like a porcelain doll.

-You pick the first name and he picks the middle name.

-He vows to protect you both no matter what.

-He's terrified

-He's read about all the things that could go wrong, all the ways people could mess up and result in yours or the babies death

-He wanted to be in the delivery room but he kept badgering the doctors making sure everything is sterile and pretty much back-seat driving, and now he has to wait in a chair outside.

-You were going to have a planned C-section but you went into labor a week early, and boy was that a fun thing to tell Shoot on the drive back from the grocery store.

-"By the way, we need to head to the hospital. My water just broke."

-That man has never gone over the speed limit in his life but today was that day.

-At first the nurses were going to prep you for natural delivery because of how long it took to get to the hospital, but luckily you'd gotten there early enough to do an emergency C-section.

-You had to comfort him more than him comforting you.

-He waited outside while they performed the C-section, but the second the come out to tell him he can come in he's bolting inside.

-You were okay, drugged out of your mind with pain killers and what not, but perfectly fine.

-You gave birth to twin boys, one looked just like Shoot, the other looked just like you.

-He gave the biggest sigh of relief seeing the three of you okay.

-He held your hand and gave you a kiss

-He cried a bit seeing the two boys. He held on in his arm and the other in his nen hands.

-You gave named both of them, first and middle names.

-You decided to do a natural birth

-He was so nervous he almost had to sit outside like Shoot, but he wasn't back-seat driving so he got to stay

-His anxiety levels are through the roof but he tries to stay calm for you

-He really needs a cigarette but first of all you're in a hospital, that isn't allowed, and second of all he doesn't want his kid's first breath to be cigarette smoke.

-He ends up shaking and bouncing his leg really bad. He needs a cigarette.

-I can picture him breathing into a paper bag when he has to step out to get ice or something.

-He almost goes into mental breakdown in the hallway, especially if there are any complications, but forces himself to pull it together and go back to the room.

-He's terrified of not being a good enough dad, of losing you, of you losing the kid. What if the kid looks exactly like him and gets picked on for it? What if they're scared of him? They're gonna hate him for sure he just knows it. But he needs to be with you now, he's a bad boyfriend. If he can't even do this how can he be a dad?

-He almost has a panic attack

-But he's there with you holding your hand and telling you how brave you are

-You end up giving brith to a girl

-She has his tail and eye color, and the rest looks like you

-He's crying but trying hard not to

-While you're holding her she grabs his finger and he can't hold back his tears anymore

-All of his anxiety slowly dissapears

-You let him pick the first name and you pick the middle

-Honestly he probably chose something generic like Chloe, but it's pretty so it's fine

Cheetu:

-This man is not ready

-He got the months mixed up

-Y'all were in the middle of BF NOWHERE when your water broke. You were just hanging out on a walk.

-He picked you up and ran you to the nearest hospital at his top speed

-Which is pretty fast, he was so fast in outrunning a bullet that it looked like he dissapeared. I did the math and that's well over 1700mph.

-When y'all get there he's surprisingly chill, the hospital staff are terrified of him though.

-"Hey uh, my girlfriend is giving birth, I need you to help her." Meanwhile he's still holding you bridal style and you are mortified by all the looks you're getting.

-Y'all got there before any big contractions or dialating because of how fast he is, so you both end up chilling in the delivery room for like an hour before you're dialated enough to begin birth.

-They gave you an epidural so you weren't in during, just very worn out.

-Cheetu is somehow really calm about it, and when you get scared or worried he keeps you distracted, and keeps talking to you, trying to take your mind off of your anxieties.

-Little do you know that deep down he's scared and feels helpless.

-He knows from witnessing Meruem's birth that things can go wrong and death is a possibility, but he can't do anything but keep you calm. He's used to being your protector, but now he suddenly has to entrust yours and your baby's life with strangers. He doesn't want to but he knows he has to.

-He pets your hair and purrs to calm you and himself down, it's very effective.

-You end up giving brith to identical twin boys

-They look so much like Cheetu, and only a little bit like you.

-They are practically clones of him but with your skin tone, a regular human body and your eyes. Apart from that? They are floofy tiny clones of him.

-He's actually pretty excited, neither of you knew it was twins, and now he's got two clones to annoy you with.

-He picks one up while you're breast feeding the other and holds it under the armpits. "Hey! You're just like a mini me!"

-You name one and Cheetu names the other

-It takes a while because he wants to give them cool names

How would the chimera ants react to their girlfriend being pregnant? Specifically cheetu ikalgo meleoron and colt

Cheetu:

He's surprised but ends up playing it cool like he usually does. He's very cocky and excited. He teases that now there'll be 2 of him to annoy you. He's cocky and proud since it's his cub(s) you're carrying. He wasn't exactly sure if a chimera ant could get a human pregnant, but he's really full of himself now that he knows he can. He also feels as though he's officially claimed you as his.

Any ant with a good nose can tell you smell like him and that you're also pregnant by him. Be prepared for him to tell all his ant buddies. Anytime you meet or hangout with someone for the first time, he's gonna be like, "She's pregnant!" He's a tad over enthusiastic.

He is gonna get a bit insecure and scared though. In the wild, female cheetahs get pregnant and then dip. He doesn't want that to happen, so he's gonna be showing off to you more, subconciously trying to prove why you should stay with him.

He's gonna get fiercely protective of you. And he isn't cocky like usual with his enemy. He's angry and much more primal. If someone even looks at you wrong they're dead.

Ikalgo:

Seriously? You're not joking with me right? He's so damn happy. That gif is the literal expression he gives you. He gives you so much love and affection. He's over the moon. He gets to feel like he has a somewhat normal life all thanks to you, you amazing and wonderful woman.

He's constantly worried about you and baby. He wants to make sure you're both safe. You two talk about what to name the kid a lot, and how to decorate their room etc. A lot of daydreaming and planning.

He likely gives you a speech about how he'll always love you and protect you etc.

Meleoron:

He's super shocked. I think oyu might've broke the man. Window's noises. Then he's like, "AAAAH" He gives you a squeezing hug, he's very excited. Y'all have a conversation about it and decide on keeping the kid and that you're both on the same page. He's excited to tell everyone, but he does it really chill. That gif is when he tells Knuckle.

He's really chill about the whole thing after finding out. But he does get insecure, wondering if he'd even be a good dad. What if there was something wrong with the kid and it was his fault? Just reassure him and it'll be fine.

He talks about it to his friends a lot. They're excited for you guys. He's gonna be more worried about you being in danger or you getting hurt/sick though.

"It says the milk expired today, do you think it's still good to drink?"

"WHAT, ARE YOU CRAZY!?! NO IT'S NOT GOOD TO DRINK! BESIDES, WHAT IF YOU GOT SICK FROM IT, YOU CAN'T BE DOING THAT WHILE YOU'RE PREGNANT!"

Colt:

He's overjoyed. He'll pick you up and spin you around before setting you down and wrapping his wings around you. He will sob happy tears and hold you tight. He swears to be the best father he can.

He starts getting very concerned that someone could hurt you, or that you might get hurt, so he starts going with you everywhere. He's like your own personal knight. He calls you his queen or his lady, and the baby his prince or princess.

You can bet you'll have a bunch of doctor's appointments, sometimes a few a month. Even if everything is fine, he's going to be paranoid. He'll definently do a lot of research on parenting, child care, and everything. He's very excited and also very anxious about it.

He's smart but is super confused about your question. It's not one of the weirdest things he's heard but it's definitely up there. He's just like, what why would you ask that? Has mixed feelings about whether or not he would love you as a worm. He loves you the way you are, so he's definitely swaying more to the no side.

Pieck

Gosh Y/n of course she would! She would 100% crawl around on the floor with you. Makes a bed out of an empty match box for you so you can sleep together. She says she would show you off to all her friends and even let some of them hold you. She'd love you as a little worm! Definitely protective but is quite laid back with it when you would be around her friends.

Porco

Fuck no! Y/n get that thought out of your head that he would love you as a worm! He feels like he's going to throw up just thinking about it. Seriously though, did you really think he would love you as this disgusting little creature!? He straight up says no but he's curious if you would live him if he was a worm. When you say no he gets mad and says it's disrespectful towards him.

Huh? What? Asks you why you would ask that but immediately says he would love you! He tells you that he would keep you safe and let the candidates keep you company when he's not there. He doesn't think anywhere is safe for you if you turn into a worm! Gets a bit emotional thinking about you getting injured when he's not around.

Your his best friend! Of course he would love you as a little worm! With both of you being in a dangerous environment more often than not, he gets generally scared for your life and wellbeing. He comes around to the fact that this can't happen but he gets very clingy to you after that.

Gabi

That's gross. Your one of her best friends but she wouldn't love you as much if you were a worm. Says she would get way more protective over you and make sure no one lays a single finger on you apart from her. Even though she would find it disturbing, she would still care for you but not on the same level if you were human.

Zofia

A bit shy but admits she would love you just the same! As one if her closest friends she needs to make sure that you are safe and comfortable. Asks Pieck to help make little dresses for you and small blankets to keep your little worm body warm during the winter. Admits she would carry you around and offer you food she gets from the market.

What? Bless him, he's extremely confused! However he does get a small plan set up just in case. He gets scared at the thought of losing one of his friends and keeps you safe to the best of his abilities from then on. Reassures you that he would love you even more as a friend and that it's his sworn duty to protect you!
