This world needs more bowsareach! So here's a little something I wrote for them! (It was part of a bigger fic I didn't finish, but it doesn't need context)

Mario was starting to think that all the “hero” thing made him forgot how to deal with mundane challenges.

He realized that when he saw himself using the cat-bell to climb up the wall and get a book from the top of the shelf. And when he tried to explain the claw marks to Peach, saying, “but what ELSE could I have done?” Her answer was silently pointing to a chair.

Bowser thought this was all hilarious, of course. And Mario had to remind him of who breathed fire into the oven when it wouldn’t turn on. And the reason they had to eat microwaved food for a week.

It was just a simple memory of some random day, but it made Mario feel so nostalgic. Their little home, hidden in a hill on the edge of the kingdom and accessible through a warp pipe they built, was no less than a dream come true.

After all, dating two monarchs meant that the three of them couldn’t simply rent an apartment together. Peach had to stay at her castle, and Bowser, at his, and when they eventually arranged the marriage that would unite the two kingdoms, it would be time to live together and Mario would come along.

But for now, the three of them settled in getting a little house to be the place they could run away to when Peach and Bowser got a moment of peace. It was great, especially when they managed to spend a whole weekend there.

Mario had the time of his life watching The Royals get used to the cottage. Peach, as a regent who always placed herself at the same level of her people and hated to be perceived as superior, gave her best to act naturally, so Mario tried to hide his laughter when they sat down to eat and her face just read “Oh, indeed, this table has but four chairs and doesn’t occupy the whole room.” He could see her dying inside a bit when all the plates and cups got too cramped up.

Bowser, on the other hand, being made of ego as he was, absolutely made sure he was seen as superior by his subjects (which never prevented him from being a caring ruler, going personally to a civilian’s house if they had any trouble, and screw his schedule). So he didn’t even pretend to be comfortable there. It was such an ordeal to prevent him from turning the house into a second palace. The most that Mario and Peach gave in was to make a living room big enough to fit a grand piano. Even so, he complained at every possible time about the house’s size.

“Pff. The fifty-second heir to the mighty koopa empire, living on an ant’s house like this… Of course, we left it to Mario to lead the project. He measured the house based on his own size.”

And Mario simply answered by sitting on the table in front of him. “Truly, I am so very small.” He placed Bowser’s hand on his back. “Look, I even fit on this huge and scary koopa’s hand. Oh, my stars! I sure do hope he doesn’t take advantage of all this size to grab me and kidnap me to some dark castle. Poor me!”

His voice was casually innocent, and Bowser’s face was on fire since he was still a mess whenever Mario and Peach gave him attention like that (and the two of them abused the heck out of it).

“Don’t you tempt me, plumber.” Bowser warned, holding his breath.

“Your hand is still around me.”

“…”

“Oh, no! That terrible monster is kidnapping my Mario!” Peach entered the room, and Mario fondly smiled with the “my”, dumb as their playing was. “Will I have to rescue him? But what if he kidnaps me, too?” She threw herself at Bowser with a hand dramatically at her forehead.

“STOP THAT!” Bowser jumped out of the chair, like Mario and Peach were contagious. “You two, you’re… you’re unfair, that’s what you are!”

“Weeeeeee?” They got closer, blinking innocently at the koopa, who got all the more red.

“…Dddddon’t you blame me when I actually kidnap you.” He turned to leave, visibly wanting to die in some corner and regain his dignity before he could even think about flirting back. And hit the doorframe with his shoulder. “STUPID small house! That’s YOUR fault, Mario!” They heard, as he ran to the room. And just laughed together.

“I definitely won’t mind if he goes through with this threat.” Mario smirked. “What about you, Peaches?”

“Not at all.” She agreed, before placing herself in front of her boyfriend, pinning him to the table with both arms. “Just beware, or I might take you first, sweetie.”

And she kissed his nose. Yeah, he’d definitely not mind that too.

Anyway guys guess what playing Omega Factor did to me?

So yeah this is a post-2003 au, Astro and Sharaku are 12 or so and Sharaku is a new student in Astro's class, and they become buddies

This Sharaku was raised in a lab when he was a little kid, just like 2003 Rock, and rescued by Dr. Kenmochi who becomes his adoptive father (Wato is his adoptive sister here). Sharaku actually knows of his powers and remembers what happens when he uncovers his eye, so he's a lot more anxious and nervous, afraid that he'll hurt someone.

And yeah I think I'm shipping them and I'll call this ship Atomic Eye If this ship somehow exists already let me know I'll be surprised

What made you ship it?

Their interactions are so cute!! It's a great canon romance, they don't have many scenes but you can just feel their chemistry. They both have that classy elegant vibe but both have that funny silly side and joke around and all and... It's so cute, man

What are your favorite things about the ship?

Claire being the one who gave Layton his hat kills me. The way he looks all awkward and dorky with it at first and years later it looks like it was made for him, but... Claire is gone now. The scene at the end of unwound future is one of the scenes in fiction that made me cry the most my God

Hmmm I don't think so

What made you ship it?

The whole movie KSJKSJKJS ok but elaborating: I really love how they're not framed in a romantic light. We don't see them getting flustered or jealous or anything, they're just portrayed as friends. This makes me ship them more, bc their relationship feels natural, and whatever comes next is up to your interpretation, so you can just picture their strong bond turning into romance naturally, you know?

What are your favorite things about the ship?

Oh EVERYTHING. I love how Sheeta IMMEDIATELY trusts Pazu when at that moment she's being chased by a million people. But she sees this guy cheerfully greeting her and playing with pigeons and just goes "Oh yeah ok he's nice". She casually LETS HIM TAKE THE STONE BRO. I love dorky Pazu throwing himself off the roof and them laughing it off later. I love them exploring Laputa together, just being happy kids in a paradise. I love their immense loyalty and how they will go to any hell they need to to protect one another. I love how they feel like an incarnation of kindness and purity in a world of greed and destruction.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I have no idea? But I'll throw my random headcanon that I don't think either of them would want to have kids. I can see them traveling all over the world and discovering new lands, and adopting/mentoring any kids they find that need a home. Maybe they will eventually have a sky ship with a cool crew and all

What made you ship it?

From the start I was like "haha wouldn't it be funny if they were exes" since the whole series is a custody battle and all. Then episode 50 happenned and I suddenly really wanted to explore the concept of Tenma becoming a better person and getting back to Astro and Ochan's life. I also wacthed some of Atom the Begginning and that thing is weird but I love their young versions' dynamic and the concept of them being old classmates and partners, so it only added to that

What are your favorite things about the ship?

There's a lot but I really really love their contrast... Tenma being such a cold, sharp person, and Ochan being this firm believer in peace and in the hearts of humans and robots. I love how similar Astro is to Ochan, how Tenma is silently proud from these people who are so much better than him (this isn't so much canon but is kinda there and I love to explore it in fic).

And they're so funny when they're just being a bickering couple and throwing hands. That episode of atb where they're basically having a divorce over A106 killed me.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I really don't know, I'm not sure what the popular opinions are... so I'll just throw a random headcanon: I think they're both ace, Tenma being gay-romantic and Ochan being bi

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

Her bravery. She's just a kid, who lost her parents and lives by herself, thrown in a cruel conflict she never wanted any part in, yet she still stands up and throws herself into danger to protect others (and herself). She shows a lot of vulnerability too which only adds to that, her bravery is the kind that shines even when she's so afraid.

And since it's very hard for me to mention Sheeta or Pazu wihout mentioning the other... their loyalty is so beautiful, man. The way Sheeta immediately trusts Pazu and how willing he is to protect this person he just met - ack, they're so pure

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

For appearance, I like to draw her as taller than in canon.

For personality, I like to think she has a deep love for land. She loves to stroll among the trees, run on the grass, climb stones. Pazu's heart belongs to the sky, as we see in the film, and Sheeta's heart belongs to the Earth.

Insane how Tezuka just sat down and wrote the greatest enemies to lovers old man yaoi this side of the galaxy and didn't even realize it

Yeah sooo I watched that mess that is astro boy 2009 and wanted to see how Orrin and Stone would look on the 2003 universe

I made Stone's first name Brim bc gunpowder and stuff (and ngl I'm kinda thinking I'm a genius for this one) and based Orrin's traits off Robita and Kip!

For the fandom ask, what’s your least favorite cannon thing about Atom?

Oh that's an interesting one, I think I never felt negative feelings abt the little guy before KJSJKSKJ genuinely love pretty much everything abt his character from the versions I've wacthed

Ok, this is very specific, but I kinda hate that episode in 2003 where there's a robot girl (Emily, I think) who wants to turn into a warrior to save her parents and Astro is all "no, she can't do it, she's just a girl!!"

And like, I GET it, I do understand that he hates fighting and will place all that burden on himself if needed. I love that abt him. But I kiiinda felt that the episode (and Astro by proxy) was leaning on the fact that Emily shouldn't fight because she's a girl?? not in the sense of being young, but being a woman?

Maybe I misintrerpreted it or something was lost in the subtitling process but as it stands, that was the moment I disliked Astro the most. Come on my guy. Tho I don't think abt it a lot bc I blame more the general writing than his character
