Hello! If you're comfortable with answering ANY of these (π± π¦ββ¬π₯π π¦ π‘) in your Ask Game, I would love to know your unique take! Don't feel obligated to answer them all though. π I just LOVE and admire the aesthetic, comforting vibe, organization, & advice of your overall blog! π₯°
Hi, how you're doing?
Thank you for your message π₯°
Feel free to share your thoughts on these questions too π
π± How do you prepare yourself before a reading?
I usually do a reading right after I wake up from sleep. It's when I'm feel the most refreshed. Before and after each reading, I drink a large gulp of water, stretch myself, move around, look out the window to relax my eyes and spaced out to empty my mind lol. In short, I make myself feel physically comfortable and active enough.
Basically this:

π¦ββ¬How do you handle challenging or negative readings?
Like how I handle a challenging or negative person, I guess? I listen and try not to judge.
One kind of challenge in a reading is when I don't feel or get anything. I feel stuck and empty. The thing is, when I actually voice it out or write it down, the fog will get clearer, like a shift in perspective. If it's still difficult to read, I will leave the reading for a while and come back later. Like when your friend is sulking and silent, you give them space and time.
π₯Have you ever experienced tarot or spiritual burnout, and how did you overcome it?
I have a period of 6 or 7 years of Tarot burnout. I barely touched it. But as my spiritual beliefs evolved and changed, I came back to Tarot and found a new inspiration and purpose for it. Nowadays, I mostly use Tarot to ask questions about the general mysteries of life instead of external, practical situations in my life. I just find Tarot works better that way for me.
I believe that burnout of any kind is a sign that shows constriction (a definition of the word constrict: make narrower, especially by encircling pressure). So the action to relieve that feeling of constriction is to widen, to expand, be it your world view, your knowledge, your interests etc.
π‘ How do you come up with pick a card readings ideas?
I make a checklist of steps in a journey, each PAC topic is a step in that checklist π. Ideally, that's how I wanted to do it. But I'm impulsive so if I come across some interesting topics that I want to do right away, I will do the reading first and then try to slot it in the checklist. Like a series, each episode contributes to the overall plot but there will be some filler episodes.
π¦ How do you handle skepticism from others about your tarot practice?
I don't mention the subject to them anymore π. If the scepticism is about my ability, when I feel energetic and persuasive, I will tell them some of the predictions that have come true. I invite them to try for themselves or accept the fact that we are not for each other.
Oddly enough, I haven't really encountered much scepticism or criticism about my occult practice. People's reactions range from surprised, mildly amused, enthusiastic to becoming converted. Pretty encouraging, actually. I even read Tarot for my boss at work lol.
But I do notice some people want to practise Tarot but their environment and community aren't exactly supportive. It's difficult to try to convince or argue in this kind of situation so keeping it a secret is a way to protect it. I hope that they continue to do what they love and will find a supportive community for them.
π What do you wish to see more, and less of, in the tarot sphere?
I want to see less drama in the community. Everyone has a story behind. It's interesting to hear people's different points of view but when it turns into criticism or judgement, it feels suffocating.
I do wish to see more observation posts about Tarot tho, like those of astrology observations. I think that would be a great opportunity to learn and discuss.
I hope you are always well rested and full of energy π

Random observation about "Lucky colours"

Wearing the colours associated with the Sign of each house in your chart will bring more luck to the matters of that house. The following is my personal observations about each house.
The colours of 1st house sign: people notice you more and comment on your appearance more, boost of confidence, high contrast look (the colours seem to make your features stand out)
The colours of 2nd & 7th house sign: look pleasing/harmonious on you, people are nicer towards you, good for going on dates or attract someone, good for meetings involving contracts, exchange, going to the bank
The colours of 3rd & 9th house sign: you feel more adventurous and more carefree, sometimes more impatient, good for exams/ tests, could have some delays or difficulties in traffic though
The colours of 4th house sign: look naturally good on your skin, match your features, comforting, peaceful, great to wear at home
The colours of 5th house sign: feel more exciting, fun, exuberant, boost of vitality, could be the colour you wore a lot when you were a kid
The colours of 6th house sign: increase or decrease of vitality and health, I usually avoid the colours of this house, they feel unlucky to me
The colours of 8th house sign: pretty similar to the effect of 1st house, but people seem to be more bold or in some case, rude when interact with you, I think these colours should be worn in a more private settings, could make you feel heavy and not in a great mood
The colours of 10th house sign: people take you more seriously, you look more professional, could bring some delays or heavy moods
The colours of 11th house sign: lucky colours, things go more smoothly, especially in public places or social medias, great when you need to do a presentation
The colours of 12th house sign: peaceful, great for travelling, also like the 4th house, these colours usually match the colours of your features, they blend and make a soft/ low contrast look

Colours of each sign (just a few examples)

Current situation: should you let go, wait or act?
This reading is about a current situation of yours that you find confusing or stuck. I hope this reading will give you some more clarity.
This is a general reading meant for multiple people. Take only what resonates and leave out the rest.
Your feedback is much appreciated. If you find the reading resonated with you, leave a comment, Iβd love to know π
About me | Masterpost Book a reading with me - KO-FI (β personal reading)

I see that you are in an inertia. The situation is at a standstill. You feel like with just one action, the scale will tip over, and the whole situation will change its direction. But you are wary of this change. Even though you hope for relief from this state, you are someone who needs concrete proofs and a full preparation before you engage in any course of action.
If this is about a connection, things were good before, you and them were getting along pretty well, sharing enjoyable moments together. This connection made you feel relaxed and more carefree. But then one or both of you reached a point where there should be more solid commitment. Maybe you wanted to do something together, and the question of practicality came in. Things seemed not fun anymore but required serious consideration. A light attitude and the attempt to bring the connection back to its previous state wouldn't solve this issue as you have hoped.
If this is about other situations that you need to make a choice, the same things also applied. There's a need for you to slow down a little and reconsider the situation. There are opportunities for you to move forward and build something substantial, but you will have to commit to it with practical plans. I see something related to finance, spending, and accumulating wealth. It could be about changing your mentality about these matters. Instead of your feelings, which have the possibility of being influenced by many factors and likely to change, base you course of actions on the actual facts about the situation and your current resources, even your time and energy are your resources. So the advice for this situation would be to wait a little, you should collect more information and use your resources more wisely.

This might be for the people who are currently single and not committed to anyone. The energy is very independent, someone who is just enjoying life and their freedom.
This might be a little specific, but some of you in the past could have experienced breakups or seen other people's commitments falling apart. This made you sceptical and lose faith in relationships. So now you choose to enjoy being alone, focus more on yourself and explore other options.
In general, you might feel quite contented with the current state, but sometimes you can't help but look at others who are in relationships and feel a desire to be in one. But that means you will have to end your current state, and you want someone who can match your energy, who can let you have the same freedom just like when you were single, which is not easy to find and can be an unrealistic expectation.
For other of you who is not in this dilemma, but in other situations that require you to get out of your comfort zone or independent mode to join others. You will have to make a choice, to leave behind the old habits and cultivate new ones. Maybe you're someone who likes to work alone, to shine on your own, but if you want to join some community or a group project, you will need to work with other people, it will be a shared effort.
The general advice is to make the choice only if you're willing to accept the departure of your old self. It's hard to make a choice and expect things to stay the same.

I think you are someone who is quite practical and reserved. Who doesn't allow themselves to be wild or act rashly, always consider the consequence and the effects of your actions. You are not open with your energy. It feels hard and unmoving, like a wall or a statue.
But the situation that you have in mind is something that has the potential to infiltrate that wall and take you out of your usual shell. Sometimes, we are attracted to things and people that represent the opposite facets of us. It's usually when our energy feels too bounded and static, so we need something to break us out, to balance us.
This situation seems to invite you to be more open with your feelings, let loose a little and mingle more with people. It promises connections, joy and flow. It seems good based on that impression, but I sense a hidden slope in it, one that can make you slide down into being undisciplined and go against your principals. There's a pull that leads to overindulgence, making the restraint in you slowly slipping away. It could be someone close to you invite you to try out new things, new activities, introduce you to new people, or you yourself in the process of going out of your comfort zone, trying out different things that can bring more colours and excitements into your life. But the advice for you here is to stop and think clearly, remain cool headed and logical. Having more boundaries and discernment, knowing when to resist invitations to things that have the potential to affect you negatively. Take time and space to be with yourself only.

This could be about work or something where you are providing help for other people. You do it simply because you think it's necessary, you just want to help without thinking too much about it, without expectation for something, maybe you've been providing something for free or for too often. But this kind of behaviour can lead others to the assumption that you're naive, easy to take advantage of, or on the opposite side, that you have hidden motives and try to please people. Simple acts can be interpreted as something more complicated. I think this will be a learning process for you, to think more carefully before jumping in to help. I'm not saying that you should be more calculative or stop helping people altogether, but be more clear in your intention with them.
Some people could get used to your help and expect more and more. It could gradually become a burden for you. Setting clear boundaries is important. When you feel that your time and energy aren't appreciated, make a clear decision to stop and try to untangle yourself from people's expectations. Also, setting priorities, some of your actions have actually hindered your progress.
I also see some kind of hidden rivalry, maybe on the surface, things seem pretty friendly, but there might be talks behind your back, passive-aggressive words, actions that won't reveal their true intentions. Don't jump into conclusion too hastily, but if there is something amiss and you can sense it, don't hesitate to make a clear-cut decision to stop this kind of behaviour. Maybe remove yourself from that situation. If it's hard to do so, detach yourself and avoid engaging further.

You are excited to start something new, to execute a plan, a vision. The plan is based on your past experiences. You remember how things were good in the past and eager to start them again or to dive back in. The actions here are based on an idealistic view of the situation. This situation might have already happened in the past once or many times before, but you somehow have forgotten some of its effects or consequences. It's like you didn't remember the event in its entirely, some parts were blotted out. This could make the situation right now seem a lot more positive than it actually is. Or maybe you remembered the past, but you're optimistic about the future, you might believe that this time, it will be different.
There's a feeling of haste. Everything is just in a preparation state, but you want to act quickly, decisively. The fruits haven't been ripe yet, but you want to harvest them already. So the advice is to wait more, observe more, plan more, try to see the situation in different angle, if you want to act, at least do so in small steps, avoid taking grand actions. Being told to wait while having inspiration can be frustrating, but there's something hidden, an information, a help, an opportunity, awaiting you if you're willing to slow down a little to listen.

The energy of this group is really about enjoying themselves, enjoying life in general. The message for this group might be really short because it seems that you will soon receive the reward for your effort. Just keep doing what you're doing, the tree will grow if you keep nurturing it, the scarf will get longer if you keep knitting.
You might want to relax more, to have more fun, and be confident in your ability to make things real. Emotions might be heightened more in this period. If you've been planning to try something new, now is a good time to do that, you are infused with more confidence and spontaneity to try out things that you didn't think you would be able to do. Just be a little mindful of your spending, a high spirit could likely make some impulsive purchases that you would regret later on.
This message is just for a specific group of people, but if you are in a triangle relationship or there is a third party involved, you might want to reconsider your choice and put your peace of mind at the top priority. If the situation generates too much dramas and the indecisiveness from the people involved is not resolved then be ready to let go and walk away, I do see another opportunity for you in the future.

πββ¬How did you first get into tarot?
π Whatβs your favorite tarot deck and why?
π Whatβs your favorite tarot card, and what does it mean to you?
πͺWhat's your favorite oracle deck, if you use them?
Hi,Belladonna, thank you for the questionsπ¦πͺΌ
πββ¬How did you first get into tarot?
I actually don't really remember π¦§.
At the start of university, I began to take interest in the occult so I did some researching and naturally stumbled upon Tarot. I had my first paid Tarot reading at our school fair, it was the only paid reading I ever have actually π
The story is nothing remarkable, really.
π Whatβs your favorite tarot deck and why?
My favourite deck is The Victorian Fairy Tarot. It was my first ever Tarot deck and I have been with it for about 12 years already π. The energy of the deck feels like a warm and kind old lady with the style of old children books.
Take a look at these gorgeous illustrations. (The deck is so old that the card's corners have begun to wear away)

π Whatβs your favorite tarot card, and what does it mean to you?
My favourite card is the 8 of pentacles because it reminds me of Saturnian energy. Whenever I felt doubts or began to lose faith in the things I do, I always got the 8 of pentacles, it felt oddly comforting, you just need to keep going, commit and work hard, keep on perfecting whatever you do. I guess patience is my biggest lesson in this life.
I also like the Moon card for its mystical depiction in every deck. It's a little creepy and haunting, like the world of dreams.
πͺWhat's your favorite oracle deck, if you use them?
I have only one oracle deck, it's The wild unknow animal spirit deck. So that's my favourite.
Hope you have a nice dream whenever you sleep πͺΌππ

Hi, how are you? Hope you're well π
Thank you for the questions and messages. π₯°
βοΈ Whatβs a quote that sums up your philosophy?
βItβs a small world. It keeps recrossing itself. He who would do battle with the many-headed hydra of human nature must pay a world of pain & his family must pay it along with him! & only as you gasp your dying breath shall you understand, your life amounted to no more than one drop in a limitless ocean!β Yet what is any ocean but a multitude of drops? Cloud atlas - David Mitchell
There's a quote that talks about how the world, our lives, will repeat itself over and over again through many lifetimes in the same novel but it mentions su*cide so I will just quote a part of it here: "We do not stay dead long,[omitted], my birth, next time around, will be upon me in a heartbeat." It reflects my philosophy about the continuity of life and past lives.
Many things worked out as I planned them to, but that did not always prove of benefit to me. But almost everything developed naturally and by destiny. Memories, dreams, reflections - C.G Jung
This closely reflects the observation I have about life in general.
π¦ What advice would you give to someone just starting to learn tarot?
The short advice is to take it easy π
Learn the fundamentals and try to listen to your own intuition at the same time.
It will be different for each one of us, but in my case, books, fancy accessories, and numerous decks in your possession only served to distract me from really diving into Tarot. I find learning through direct experiences of reading, especially for other people, the most effective way. Also, watching how other readers do readings is also very educational.
Thinking about all the interpretations of each card can be intimidating, but if you group them by themes, I think it will be easier. The fool's journey, the meaning of each suit, the general meaning of each number, try to find the undercurrent similarities.
Like everything else, if you do it often enough, you will get used to it and get better at it.πΈ
π How do you connect with the energy of a querent before a reading?
I usually ask for their name (not initials) and their favourite colours, a scene they find beautiful so that I can build a mental image of them in my head. I'm a visual thinker so I can't think about something if I can't see it in my head. Then I will pick an object, usually a crystal to represent the querent and look at that object throughout the reading, imagine myself sitting across the querent. That's how I connect with a querent.
I have to admit that I don't feel sensations in my body like how some readers when they channel the energy of a querent and the reading. If I would describe my reading process in details, it would sound very mechanical, detached and lack the mystical or fantastical elements usually associated with divination π
𫧠How do you cleanse or recharge your tarot decks, if at all?
I sometimes put a Selenite crystal bar on top of the deck in good faith that the deck will be cleansed. But a part of me is quite sceptical about it. I keep my decks in separated pouches in my drawer to keep them out of light and heat and occasionally spread them on my bed to let them breathe some air.
I don't usually feel the need to cleanse my decks. Unless it was touched by someone else, then I would let it sit in a dark, open space, alone, just like how I myself would like to be when I need to recharge. An open space, cool air and darkness are good energy cleansing agents for me.
π¦Do you believe some people are gifted, and is that necessary to read tarot?
I think Tarot is like the art field or any other fields, some people will have an easier time grasping the system, do it faster, more distinctively. Some people are naturally more sensitive to energies, understand images intuitively, have the ability to articulate words in a way that flows. But that doesn't mean other people who don't have that natural disposition cannot do the same or better.
It boiled down to the mindset and how much interest you have for the subject. A curious and open mindset will make an accepting attitude towards many things, which will free the mind and the heart and let things flow more naturally, outward expression of this can be considered as natural talent. Giftedness may give you an initial boost but interest will give you fuel in the long run.
So no, I don't think you need to be gifted to read Tarot. You just need to be open to the idea of Tarot.
π Do you use any tool, substance or technique to enhance the accuracy of your readings?
My tools and techniques are good sleep, well rested body, neutral state of mind and heart, good lighting and drinking lots of water.
My favourite motto when doing a reading: "first thought, best thought"
