Garden Update!
Garden update!
So the box has been completely turned over to squash and zucchini, and one tomato sucker I stuck in it. Speaking of tomatoes, about a month ago, I was at my parents house, and my dad had plucked some big suckers off his tomato plants. I grabbed three and drove them to the beach. Those things were completely wilted over and on their last leg, but I didn’t give up hope for them. Long story short, look at them in my Home Depot bucket - flowering and everything.
I also have a makeshift propagation corner going on in my kitchen right now. Using some old beer bottles and what I had on hand. Seems to be working just fine.

Who knows how many sunsets have graced my walks across this marsh over the years. I love this time of year when the marsh marigolds (I think that’s what they are) are in bloom.
Home is where the salt marsh is.
Trying to outrun the storm on the Winyah Bay.
First squash of the summer! A nice summer solstice gift from the squash box.
Made a stop in my hometown for the night on my way to Greenville. Of course I had to help dad in the blueberry grove behind the house. I use to hate summer blueberry season, my sister and I would spend hours and hours trying to keep up with all the berries. Now I miss the easy access. Especially living in Greenville last year when I was so far away - I really missed access to them and I refused to purchase them. Now that I live at the beach and my hometown is only an hour and a half away, I get regular blueberry deliveries again when dad is in town.
