guys
there is this cute guy in my calc class, and he's pretty smart. honestly, i think the only reason i think he's cute is because he explained to me how to get the curvature of a vector
we had our first exam last week and he was talking about how he was so ready, and he was going to demolish the curve
fast forward to yesterday when we got our tests back, we were comparing answers and he noticed that we had both gotten the same grade. i have never felt as happy as when i wiped that smug look from his face.

found this gem of a comment on one of my posts and couldn't NOT draw it
once i beat the depression and the burnout and the anxiety and the loneliness and the exhaustion and the guilt and the awkwardness and the apathy and the low income and the chronic illness and the impatience and the vulnerability and the creative block and the capitalism and the cruelty THEN you'll see
can someone explain why I feel so much for fictional characters? they are just drawings or words on paper but i laugh at their jokes and cry when they get hurt. I get an overwhelming amount of feelings over people that do not even exist.
sometimes being a woman in STEM is about color-coding your lab data into a perfectly organized Google sheet and honestly? that's ok
I don't think people understand how important language can be when communicating.
English isn't my first language, but it is the one I use most when talking to others. Even though I speak it fluently, sometimes my brain gets tired. I forget words, or I don't know how to say things and they come out wrong.
This is why I get so excited when I hear someone speaking Spanish (which happens often in Texas). I can finally let myself relax and be myself because speaking is so much easier.
It is especially exciting when someone who doesn't speak Spanish tries saying some words. Even if it is with Google Translate and the worst possible accent.
