I know lots of people depict Benrey with dark hair, but I was thinking how funny it'd be if it was a lighter color. Like you expect it to be darker cuz of the intense shadow from his helmet, but he lifts it up to reveal baby blue locks.
Bonus: everytime he takes his helmet off his hair is a different color

So I started this months ago but work/life got hard (you know, the usual garbage). But here’s one of my favorite scenes from HL:VRAI!! I loved Mike’s Gman so this was a lot of fun!
Mom Lalonde: hhow old r u anyiway?
Grandpa Harley: Old enough to know better. Lets go!

harry anderson: when my mom and aunt were younger my aunt was in high school and my mom was in middle school. a group of girls were bullying my aunt and one slapped her in the lunch room. the principal met with my grandma and the other mom. he said they weren’t punishing the other girl because he didn’t get involved in “girl problems”. my grandma asked if that meant my aunt could retaliate the next time it happened and he said,
doc scratch: “No. Then it would be a fight and they’d both get in trouble.”
harry anderson: so my grandma turned away from him and to the other mom and said,
mom lalonde: “i hahve another daugther. she doesnt go 2 this school ands she is a star sofltball player with her ouwn bat. u can tell yr daughter to stop bothering mine OR u ccan drive her to the hospitel with a shattered jaw. thats ur choice”
harry anderson: and walked out.
harry anderson: few months later that girl stole a necklace from my aunt. my grandma called the cops and they all drove to her house to get it back. the cop came outside with it and he told the family my grandma wouldn’t press charges if they gave it back. my grandma took the necklace and said,
mom lalonde: “then ur going to have t go in and tel them u lied because i am bpressing charges. shes a thief and i want her treated like one !!”
harry anderson: my grandma was a single mom with two daughters and she took no shit from men who tried to undermine her and her daughters.
harry anderson: she also got excommunicated and then re-communicated after bothering the vatican enough to let her back in.
harry anderson: she doesn’t even like being catholic and is fucking wiccan now. it was more of a “you can’t fire me, i quit!” which is even better, at least to me.
my mom says she’s not a hugger. but when i put my arms around her on a gloomy day or after bad news she’s the last to let go. my dad says he doesn’t want gifts on his birthday, but i see the way his face light up when i get him a card with a nice message and a box full of chocolate anyway. he’s just a kid inside, still. it makes him giddy. my brother never says i love you. but when i tell him “i just need to finish the dishes before i vacuum!” he wordlessly goes to vacuum the entire house before i can, and if he sees me struggle with a wrapper or a jar or a bottle he mutters ‘c’mere’ and opens it for me without even sparing me a glance. the thing is, people love you quietly, and you love them quietly, and the air is buzzing with tiny but grand gestures & once you look for them, you find them everywhere. i think that’s really beautiful.
