Requested - Yes - anon - Could I please get 16 with Bucky please? Fluff, minor minor angst and happy cheesy ending!! Thank you, love your work!
Prompts - “You met me at a very strange time in my life.”
The weather outside the tower was freezing but JARVIS, perfect as always, had the heating on just right. It had been a long few days for many in the tower, Bucky had slipped into flashbacks and nightmares which had left him tired, scared and on edge, fearing the Winter Soldier could make an appearance at any time.
The two of you were now curled up together in bed, Bucky’s head resting on your chest and you lazily ran your fingers through his hair. Though you were both exhausted, you’d only gotten a few hours sleep and decided silently that today was a lazy day. No getting up for anything other than toilet and snack breaks, a day spent cuddled together watching films on Bucky’s to watch list and enjoying each others company.
“‘M really sorry, doll.” Bucky murmured, you’d lost count of how many times he had apologised to you since coming back to himself. You’d known from the beginning, hell you’d known since before getting together, that there was going to be a lot of trauma attached to the man but you’d been determined to help him out as much as you could.
“I’ve told you over and over, you’ve nothing to apologise for. I’m here for you, Buck, nothings gonna change that.” You told him softly, placing a kiss of his forehead causing him to smile up at you.
“I love you so much, Y/N/N.” He whispered, shifting so he could press your lips together in a slow, lazy kiss.
“I love you too.” You breathed out, smiling against his lips.
“You get the snacks and I’ll set up the tv?” You asked. Bucky nodded, leaning up to give you one last kiss before he made his way out of the room and focused on his task. You quickly had JARVIS play the next film on the list. There were many on the list you yourself hadn’t had a chance to watch yet, whether it be because you were busy with school or finding out you had powers and were being recruited to join the Avengers, there just hadn’t been time so getting to enjoy them with Bucky was something you’d always treasure.
It wasn’t long before the two of you were back on the bed, cuddled together with the movie half way through. Things had been pretty silent with the exception of the occasional comment from both of you.
“You met me at a very strange time in my life.” Bucky said out of the blue. It took you a moment to completely register what he had said but when you did you looked away from the movie and up at the man next to you.
“What?” You asked, confusion written on your face.
“It’s just, when we met I still wasn’t sure who I really was, huh I don’t even know if I can say I know who I am know but I feel better than I did then. What I guess I’m saying is I’m glad I met you even if I didn’t know it then. You helped when you didn’t have to, stuck up for me when I didn’t know I needed it. I know I got Steve and I love him but he stayed because of the Bucky he knew then, you stayed for the broken man you met. Gosh doll, I’m no good with words but I just want you to know how glad I am for you.” He told you, not one bit of doubt in his words. Yours eyes were wide at his speech but before you could answer him, he continued. “I tried to plan this out ya know, make it romantic like Steve said but then Sam said I’d know the right moment and I think this is it. So Y/N, will you marry me?” He asked, pulling a ring out of his pants pocket.
You froze before your eyes moved from his to the ring. This was the last thing you had expected Bucky to ask you, not because you hadn’t hoped but because you didn’t know if it was something he had wanted. Your eyes filled with tears as you nodded your head madly.
“Yes, of course Bucky, Yes!” You exclaimed causing him too laugh and pull you into a kiss.
Safe to say it was one of the best lazy days you’d ever had.

Requested - Yes - Daughter reader for Jared Padalecki were she comes out to him. Fluff and angst.
Your dad was finally back home from filming and you knew now was the best time to tell him. Of course you’d thought about telling him a number of ways, in fact you’d written out several text to him that had all ended up being erased, you’d facetimed and called him with the intent of telling him but backed out every time.
No more, you told yourself, this was it.
You’d heard from your dad and Uncle Jensen that they had landed safely in Texas and were making their way home. You had been prepping yourself for this moment for weeks, knowing you had to tell him. You knew he was fine with fans that came out to him from conventions and things like that but this was a bit different than a fan coming out to him, this was his daughter.
What if he hated you? What if he kicked you out and never wanted to see you again?
You’d always been pretty close with your dad. For a long time before he met Genevive it was just you and him, sure you’d been jealous of Gen at first but she was always caring and loving towards you, treating you like one of her own when she didn’t need too. You didn’t want to come out and ruin the family and what if word got out that Jared Padalecki’s daughter was gay, could it affect his career? All sorts of illogical questions had plagued you for as long as you had known.
Countless nights had seen you sobbing silently as you let your head fill with worst case scenarios, hardly ever letting yourself think of the best case for fear of rejection. It hurt you to hide such a huge part of yourself from your dad but the thought of him turning you away was so much worse.
Your heart thumped madly against your chest as anxiety filled your bones when you heard the front door open and close.
Dad was home.

As much as Jared loved filming, he loved the breaks he got to spend time with his family. Often he felt guilty that he wasn’t around as much as he should be, the kids understood even though most of them were young, he knew you understood too but he loved when you ame on set with him.
Jared had of course notice your distant lately, through text and calls, and he planned to talk to you about it. If he could help he would, he’d never want you or anyone of his family members to feel like they were alone in the world. He greeted Genevive and the kids, noticing straight away that you hadn’t come downstairs. He shrugged it off, thinking there was a possibility that you could have headphones or were taking a nap. Deep down he knew there was something wrong though.
He made his way up the stairs, placing his bag him his and Gen’s room before making his way over to yours. He knocked on the door, pushing it open when he didn’t receive an answer and stopped as he saw you sat on the floor, quiet sobs escaping you as your face rested on your knees.
Quickly, he snapped out of the shock and made his way over to you. He scooped you up and placed you in his lap, holding you tight and rocking you gently as though you were still a small child.
“Hey, baby girl, shush, that’s okay, take your time, you’re fine Y/N.” Jared whispered softly against your hair.

You had every intention of walking out of the room and telling your dad that your gay, you really did. Then your thoughts got the better of you and you couldn’t bring yourself to open the door. Before you knew it the tears were falling down your face and you could hardly breath.
It seemed to pass in a blur before you register you were being held against your dads chest, hearing the words he was whispering as he tried to get you calm.
“S-sorry!” You managed to sob, the word barely recognisable.
“Don’t be sorry, sweetheart. Everything’s going to be alright.” Jared reassured as he continued to keep up his steady stream of reassuring words.
Eventually, you managed to stop sobbing, though the tears were still pouring down your face no matter how many times your dad wiped at them.
“Sorry, you just got home.” You mumbled, pressing your face into his chest.
“Hey, none of that now, you hear me?” Though you knew he wasn’t expecting an answer you nodded anyway causing him to smile. “Darlin’, what happened?” He asked you, concern practically dripping from him.
You took a deep breath.
This really was it.
“I’m gay.” You managed to breath out, eyes screwed shut tightly as you refused to look at him.
“You’re gay? Wait that’s why you were so upset?” Jared asked, confusion clear in his tone.
“Didn’t want you to hate me.” You mumbled against his chest, eyes opening in shock as you heard him chuckle.
“Hate you?” He repeated. “Darlin’, I could never hate you, especially not for something like this! You know I’ll support you with anything, same goes for your brothers and sister. You being gay doesn’t make you any less of the Y/N Padalecki I know and love, trust me on this baby girl, this changes nothing. I know I speak for most everyone in this family on that. I love you so much.”
At this point you were sobbing again but this time it was tears of joy and relief pouring down your face.
“Thank you! I’m so sorry.” You sobbed.
“C’mon now, none of that. You’re my daughter no matter what and I’ll always support you.” He told you sincerely, kissing your head as he did.
In that moment, you knew you were so incredibly lucky to have a dad as supporting, loving and non judgemental as Jared Padalecki.

Requested - anon - I just heard the scripts new album and run through walls made me think of ur blog straight away! I don’t know what I want but can you do something with the spn cast and this song please!!! Thank you if you do!xx
Prompts - Song Prompt - Run Through Walls (Click to listen).
You’d known the Supernatural cast since you were nine, joining the cast in one of the earlier seasons as Dean’s daughter. Jensen was like a father to you both on and off screen, you’d spent plenty of time at his house on breaks and for holidays. He’d taken you to you first convention and supported you through everything, professionally and personally. You were close with Jared too, he’d helped you a lot when it came to your mental health. Getting hate messages from such a young age had definitely affected you but they got you through it and any time things got too much you gave them a call or went to sit with them, everything turned out better.
Misha Collins had gone above and beyond for you. Flying from your home to Vancouver or to another state for a convention always had you feeling overwhelmingly anxious, flying on your own always set you on edge. One convention in San Francisco saw you sat at the airport alone in tears when Misha called you. You remembered him calming you down through the phone and him catching a flight over to you so the pair of you could travel to San Francisco together even though he was originally closer than you were. You’d apologised profusely but he wouldn’t hear anything of it, swearing he was more than happy to help you.
You and Rob hadn’t always got along so well. It’s not that you didn’t like each other it’s just that you’d never really got to know each other. When you decided you wanted to give music a try, Jared and Jensen asked him to speak to you and he was more than happy to. After that the two of you became quick friends. You’d spent countless nights making music together, at cons when neither of you could sleep you would camp out in one of your rooms and play music together or watch some cheesy movie and cuddle up together, eventually falling asleep tangled together.
Richard Speight was somebody who everyone felt automatically comfortable around and you were no exception. The moment you met him you knew he was going to be in your life for a long time. You and Rich hung out so much together both on and off set, if you were at a convention together you wouldn’t be too far from each other. Any time with Rich was guaranteed to be fun, except for maybe when the two of you had to fly anywhere together, two anxious flyers was a recipe for disaster - add Matt into the mix and it was an even bigger mess, thank the Lord for Rob Benedict, how he coped with three anxious flyers was a mystery to you all. Though you and Rich were always joking around, the pair of you could be serious when the moment called for it. You’d called him one night after a fight with your parents and sobbed down the phone to him and he was quick to comfort you, offering you a place at his house for as long as you needed. When a family member of yours had passed away and you were a mess, Richard was one of the first people at your door, offering you a warm hug and kind words.
Matt Cohen was one of the people who you considered your best friend. The pair of you were so close with each other, you’d been a big help when it came to babysitting for him to which he was thankful for. The two of you met up at least four times a month, with your schedules you had to make time for each other, and had friend dates. Sometimes you’d have lunch, go see a movie or concert. Your favourite friend date had been when he had taken you out after a really bad breakup, he took you to a movie you’d really wanted to see, then he found an old school miniature crazy golf course that left you both in stitches and he’d ended the night by taking you to a fancy restaurant, the both of you playing dress up in nice outfits. You loved him for that day, he’d managed to take such a draining morning and turn it into one of the best memories that you’d treasure forever.
Ruth, Kim and Briana were your best girlfriends. You’d always been mature for your age so getting on with people who were older than you had never been a problem and these friends you’d made along the way were some of the best people you’d ever met. Kim definitely took on a mom role with you but you loved it, loved having someone check on you with so much care and wanting you to succeed. Ruth was another person who you tended to cling to on set and at conventions, when ever you were around her you were constantly laughing and smiling. You loved travelling with Ruth, the pair of you had gone to Paris together for an event and seeing the sights and playing tourist with Ruth was so incredible. Briana and you got on so well, it took a while before you both got to act on screen together but when you did it was the best. Thankfully Richard was directing because the two of you kept laughing and just generally having the best time together, though it did mean that getting the right take took much longer but Jared, Jensen and Misha were joining in on the fun too.

You were all sat backstage at Rob’s show that he hosted at conventions, listening to him and Briana sing together as you all danced around backstage, clapping and cheering once they were done.
“Alright, Alright. Next up we have Y/N who is going to sing a song from her new album that come out in 10 days!” Rob introduced with a grin. You felt someone squeeze your shoulder and turned to smile at Matt as he mouthed ‘good luck’ to you.
You’d been nervous for weeks about releasing your own album, only ever featuring on other people’s or doing singles for movies and tv shows. The thought of putting your own music out there had filled you will anxiety but everyone had been so supportive. You’d played the cast most of the songs but purposely hadn’t let them hear the song you’d be singing tonight.
“Ok, hey everyone. So real quick, nobody outside of the recording studio has heard this song yet so I’m super nervous,” here you paused as the crowd cheered loudly in support, “thank you. So this song is really quite personal to me and it’s basically about finding those friends who would do anything for you and you for them. It’s about knowing what’s important in your life and basically an open love letter to those who go above and beyond for you. It’s called ‘Run Through Walls’ and I hope you guys and the people I wrote it for like it.” You finished your speech and let the crowd cheer as you sat on the stool and nodded to the band to begin.
“With no visible superpowers Sitting in the kitchen and talkin' for hours You always show up at the perfect time There's no one born with X-Ray eyes There's no way to know what's on my mind But you always say the words that save my life
I've got friends that will run through walls I've got friends that will fly once called When I've nowhere left to go And I need my heroes I've got friends that will run through walls
You may not be superhuman But you've got the strength to carry me through it My shield of steel when I'm too weak to fight Yes, you are And that day my mother died And you held me up and you wiped my eyes It was in that moment when I realised
That I've got friends that will run through walls (Yeah) I've got friends that will fly once called When I've nowhere left to go And I need my heroes I've got friends that will run through walls
You're always happy for my happiness And sad for my sadness P me off, you're mad for my madness (Ooh) Ever since we were young, you help me rise from the ashes If I fall from the sky you'd catch me 'Cause friends don't let you do stupid things Oh, friends don't let you do stupid things Oh, friends won't let you do stupid things Alone, alone
I've got friends that will run through walls (Yeah) I've got friends that will fly once called (Yeah) When I've nowhere left to go And I need my heroes I've got friends that will run through walls
Yeah, yeah Whoa-oh-oh When I've nowhere left to go And I need my heroes I've got friends that will run through walls I've got friends that will run through walls And I've got friends that don't text, they call When I've nowhere left to go and I need you the most I've got friends that will run through walls.”
The roar of the crowd was deafening and you couldn’t help the grin that was plastered on your face or the tears that filled your eyes, too many emotions hitting you at once. An overwhelming surge of happiness filled you as you realised you’d preformed this song that was so close to your heart and people had actually enjoyed it. You let out a gasp as you were pulled against somebody’s chest and managed to look up to see Jensen looking at you with so much pride and a grin of his own.
“That was amazing, kiddo, I’m so proud of you. God, I love you so much.” He told you quietly as the crowd continued to clap for you.
“I’m so glad you liked it, Jens. I love you too.” You smiled as he pressed you closer to him and as you felt him kiss your head.
-
-
-
Hugs were given out from everyone after the show had finished. Everyone was quick to tell you how much they loved you and you told them you loved them too, feeling so much happiness and appreciation for your life and the amazing people in it.
You ended up in Richard’s room that night, cuddled against him, feeling worn out by the long day and the emotions from the last few hours.
“I’m so glad you are all in my life.” You whispered into the dark room, smiling softly as you felt his hand rub up and down your arm soothingly.
“Trust me, bug, we’re so glad you’re in ours and we’d do anything for you.” He told you and though you already knew it, it was nice to hear it from Richard.
“I’d do anything for you guys too.” You replied, cutting yourself off with a yawn. Richard pulled you and the blankets closer to him before quietly telling you to get some rest.
“Love you, Rich.” You mumbled tiredly, eyes already drifting closed.
“I love you too, Y/N/N.”

Requested - Yes - Anon - Please could you use prompt 125 with Tony x reader, them having the relationship defining talk with angst but lots of fluff too! Thank you!
Prompts - 125. “I’ve missed you so much.”
You’d met Tony Stark for the first time at a charity gala, what the charity was you couldn’t remember. Memories from that night were filled with Tony, from him bumping into you to the early morning where you fell into bed with each other. You had of course known about the man’s playboy reputation but you hadn’t cared at the time, thinking it would be a onetime thing.
What you didn’t expect was for Tony Stark to show up, a year or so later, in the club you and your friends were at. What you really didn’t expect was for Tony Stark to seek you out, remembering you from that night long ago. The night ended the same as the last encounter.
You’d grown suspicious when seven months later Tony Stark had shown up at the same family run, hole in the wall cafe you frequented. You hadn’t noticed at first, eyes glued to your laptop as you typed your paper up, it wasn’t until he cleared his throat causing you to look up at him in shock, very obviously not expecting Tony to be sat across from you.
“Hey.” He’d smiled at you like an old friend who you hadn’t seen for a while.
“Hi?” You replied, confusion clear in your tone.
He had told you he knew about your work, told you it was brilliant but needed some work. You tried not to feel insulted as this, was stranger the right word here, began listing things that needed looking at. The speech finished with him offering you a job at Stark Industries in order to evolve your theory, working with some of the best tech in the world.
It was a hard opportunity to pass on but you did.
“I didn’t sleep with you for you to offer me a job.” You had told him.
“I know.” He shrugged easily, “but turning this down is pretty stupid. Here’s my card, thinks about it.” With that Tony was gone.
It was a year before you saw Tony again. This time he met you in the library, you were shocked but didn’t let it show on your face.
“So, funny how we keep meeting, huh?” He asked you with a cocky grin.
“Yeah, funny.” You told him with a raised eyebrow.
“I’m here to talk about your paper on…” With that Tony launched into a speech on your paper on medical engineering and the advancements that could be made, along with the formulas to do so. “You won’t come work for me on your artificial intelligence work, at least come and work with the medical team, they’re always looking for ways to become more advanced and we could use your expertise.”
There was an urge to decline again but you accepted. This was an opportunity and if you hated it, you’d leave. Tony was thrilled and started rambling about paper work and flights.
-
-
-
Tony had invited you for dinner a week after you’d started working for Stark Industries. You were over the moon you’d accepted the offer, working with some of the most advanced minds was insane but more than that having these conversations with people who understood you, instead of looking at you with a look of confusion.
Dinner with Tony Stark was an unusual affair, starting with the paparazzi and ending with the restaurant you definitely couldn’t afford with food you couldn’t pronounce. Other than the few abnormalities the night was amazing, you talked about your life, your research and in turn he told you about his. He told you about switching from weapons into the work they were focusing on now.
The night ended differently to how your other nights with Tony had ended in the way that you fell into your own bed, alone, rather than with the older man. You didn’t regret it, not wanting people to get the wrong idea, but part of you mourned the loss.
-
-
-
Dinner with Tony became a regular occurrence that led into movie nights in his cinema room, theatre trips or a stroll around Central Park. It was safe to say there was something between the two of you; you’d met his closest friends Rhodey, Pepper and Happy and he’d met the friends you had made since arriving in New York.
There was no labels, no in depth talk about a relationship or exclusivity. No boundaries were created. Every time one of you braved bringing the conversation up it ended badly, or more specifically never even began in the first place.
The first time he had tried to bring it up ended with an alert from JARVIS alerting him of an Avengers level threat in which you had to watch Tony from a TV screen almost die. When you had tried to bring it up Pepper had interrupted with papers for Tony to sign. All in all, it seemed the universe didn’t want you to have this conversation.
-
-
-
You’d been working for Tony for eleven months when the argument came. Admittedly Tony and you knew it was bound to happen. Eleven months of dates, sex and an undiscussed relationship was going to led to this.
“Just tell me what you want?!” You exclaimed in his workshop, the bots had moved to the side after the argument started heating up, beeping sadly.
“I, God, Y/N, I want this!” Tony shouted.
“This? What even is this? I mean we’re just to people who keep each other company!” You shot back.
“Seriously that’s what you-” Tony began but was quickly cut off.
“I don’t know what to think because we haven’t spoken! I’m not putting the blame on you alone but-”
“Sir, my apologies for interrupting but it seems there is an emergency that requires your attention. I have sent the location to your suit.” JARVIS’s voice filled the room and you couldn’t help but laugh because of course this was happening. You couldn’t even hate it because Tony was saving people.
“I have to go.” He said as he stepped into the suit.
“I know.”
“Can we please talk later?”
“I think I’m done talking.” You told him, turning to leave and though he called you back you kept walking. As the elevator doors shut you heard the whirl of the amour and let your head fall back.
-
-
-
“You know,” Rhodey began as he stepped into your lab, “I’ve never seen Tony this way. I’ve known him since he was a scrawny teenager and even then, nothing like this. He misses you; you know?”
“Rhodey,” you sighed, “trust me I want to be with him too-”
“Then do it.” Rhodey said let it was the easiest, most obvious solution in the world and in theory it probably was but executing it was so much harder.
“I can’t. We can’t. Hell, we were practically together for eleven months but we never talked, I mean not about what we were.” You sat down in the seat next to you, suddenly feeling exhausted. You’d avoided Tony for a month and you admitted, only to yourself, that you missed him.
“Yeah that talk sucks. It’s a terrible talk to have but you need it, not just you and Tony but everybody in a relationship has to have that talk. Define the relationship, know where you stand with each other. It’s a ten-minute terrible talk that could lead to a life time of happiness.” Rhodey told you, moving to sit opposite you as he spoke.
It was a crappy talk. Nobody wanted it, it was scary defining a relationship when you hardly knew what you wanted. Though you had shouted at Tony for saying it you knew what he meant when he said he wanted ‘this’. What you two had going was pretty great, had the potential to be even better with the talk.
“I’ll consider it.” You said before pretending to work.
“All I can ask for. See you around, Y/N.” Rhodey said, leaving you with your thoughts.
-
-
-
“I’ve missed you so much.” Tony said taking you in his arms. You couldn’t help but melt into the embrace. “C’mon, let’s talk.” He said, pulling away and leading the pair of you over to the sofa in his workshop.
And you did talk. You spoke about how you both liked each other, groaning over the fact you sounded like two school kids with a crush. You spoke about how you both liked what you had going, but you wanted it to be a real relationship, exclusive to only the two of you which Tony admitted he wanted to.
The two of you talked into the night, ordering take out and moving up to Tony’s floors and watching a movie. The two of you talked until you fell asleep in a mess of limbs on the sofa just after two in the morning.
It’s safe to say though the talk is scary, it is definitely worth it for a life-time of happiness.

Requested - Yes - Anon - Royalty AU with Princess Reader where she is being forced to marry someone (another avenger) but she ends up with Bucky who isn’t royalty. Thanks!
Prompts - Royalty AU
You sat in the gardens; a book long forgotten lay on your lap as you looked up at the clouds passing by slowly. You dreamed about being free, free from everything but alas your future was already written out for you to follow perfectly, whether you wanted to or not. Though there were so many people who spent their days running around for you, desperate to please you, nobody actually cared what you wanted. You wanted freedom and equality but instead you got imprisonment and men who thought they knew best. You wanted to marry for love, not for business. Your father thought you foolish, laughing as you argued against him, his word was law and if he wanted you to marry Prince Rogers then you were expected to do so with a smile on your face.
You sighed, shaking your head. It wouldn’t do well do dwell on these thoughts, especially when you had no means of changing anything. Your father was a very old-fashioned man and believed you were not fit enough to run the Kingdom, didn’t think any women was worthy actually, he refused to do business with Kingdom’s like Anthis because they were ran by a Queen alone. He believed if a woman had to sit on the throne it should be next to her superior, the King.
You thought he was foolish and rather admired the Queen of Anthis. Running the Kingdom wasn’t all that appealing to you but that was your duty and you would do it but you refused to marry Prince Rogers. Though thinking back to the wedding dress that waited for you in your chambers, it was going to be a difficult task to avoid.
As much as you despised the thought of marrying Prince Rogers to help along a treaty and unite both of your Kingdoms, a part of you felt resigned, you didn’t want to disappoint your people but you had to stand by your beliefs and this went completely against them.
“Ah Princess Y/N!” A member of the help, officially known as a lady-in-waiting, called out in relief. Her job, along with many other helpers, was to ensure you were where you needed to be throughout the day. You’d mastered the art of sneaking away undetected at a young age, a fair accomplishment for somebody who is meant to be supervised every minute of every day.
“Cassandra.” You greeted as you stood, closing the book without marking a page knowing you never read a word from it.
Cassandra curtseyed to you and began directing you back to your room, talking about dress fittings and meetings as she did so. Cassandra had been a constant in your life, for a long as you could remember she was there, making sure you were where you were needed but also trying her best to give you a childhood. You had tried to tell her over the years that she needn’t be so formal with you but the words fell on deaf ears.
“Come now, my dear. Let’s get you fitted, that prince of yours is gonna be here soon.” You barely held back a groan, it wasn’t ladylike to groan, especially not in the presence of others, that was something you’d be told off for a lot growing up.
“Can’t wait.” You told her, forcing a smile onto your face. You made you way to the divider, not sure why as most of the help in the room followed you behind it, helping you strip and change into your wedding dress.
That’s another thing you hated about this life, you couldn’t even pick your own dress, albeit the dress that was chosen was beautiful, it wasn’t what you’d imagined wearing on your special though. But then again, you’d also imagined you’d know the man you were marrying so you should have expected it.
“Oh Y/N, my dear.” Cassandra gasped as you stepped out into the middle of the room. “You look like a…” Here she trailed off, looking sheepish as she did.
“Like a princess.” You laughed softly, looking in the mirror. She wasn’t wrong, you looked like the epitome of a princess, white gown puffing out Cinderella style. The gown was elegant, as was the necklace that lay around your neck, one of the last few things you owned of your mothers. You touched the necklace gently before turning away from the mirror.
“Not much to adjust.” One of the dressmakers told the room, “won’t take more than half an hour to fix then you can meet your Prince.” She smiled at you.
“Thank you.” You smiled, staring ahead as they got to work. True to her word she was done within the half hour and before you knew it you were back in a comfortable gown; the top part of the dress was fitting at the top but relaxed into a flowy skirt. The royal blue gown held simple golden accessories that complimented both you and the dress beautifully.
The walk was both too quick and too slow. Time moved strangely as you stood outside of the doors that would lead into the throne room. Inside that room was your father, King Y/L/N, your future husband, Prince Rogers and his father King Rogers. The Kingdoms had been at war with each other for as long as anyone could remember and by marrying the Prince you would secure peace for the Kingdoms.
You felt selfish for wanting your own freedom when others had it so much worse but at the end of the day a golden cage is still a cage.
With a deep breath you nodded to the guards and they opened the doors for you.

“Father, I have to protest.” Steve said upon hearing the news.
“Son, this is the only way to secure the protection of our Kingdom. I hate to ask it, I really do, but by marrying the Princess you will have brought peace to our Kingdom.” Steve let out a sigh, trying not to get angry in front of the prying eyes.
“We will discuss this later, Father.”
“There is nothing more to discuss, this time next week you will be married. It’s about time too.” With that King Rogers turned and walked away, leaving Steve in the throne room with the knights and help.
“Come on, pal.” That was Bucky, he had been friends with Bucky since they were children. Bucky was the son of a maid and received permission from the King so that he could keep Steve company as she worked.
Bucky dragged Steve out of the room and out of the castle, towards the stables. It wasn’t long before the two were riding off into the woods, riding for a long time before they stopped to give the horses a rest.
“It won’t be all bad, right? I mean she is a princess, that’s gotta count for somethin’?” Bucky asked as they sat down in a field.
“It’s not that.” Steve sighed. “I just, mom would never want me to marry for anything other than true love and she isn’t it.”
“I know pal.” Bucky sympathised as he rested his hand on his friends’ shoulder. “But what are we gonna do?”
“I wish I knew, Buck, I really do.”
After a short moment of silent Bucky spoke up.
“I’d offer to run away with you into the sunset but no offence I’ve grown pretty fond of life in a castle.” That got a laugh out of Steve and just like that the mood was lifted.
“Jerk.” Steve laughed as he shoved Bucky.
“Punk.” Bucky grinned before declaring a race back to the castle.
- - -
“Hey, relax. I know this situation is ridiculous but short of letting the war continue what else can you do?” Bucky asked as the carriage pulled up to the Y/L/N’s castle.
“Too late to ask you to run away with me?” Steve laughed nervously.
“Sorry pal, I gotta take the soft beds over forest floors any day.” Bucky grinned.
They were greeted by the King as they exited the carriages, King Rogers and his royal advisor travelling in a different carriage to Bucky and Steve.
“King Rogers.” King Y/L/N greeted the King with a firm handshake.
“King Y/L/N, it’s good to see you.”
“Likewise! And this must be your son. Welcome to my Kingdom, Prince Rogers, we’re delighted to have you here.” King Y/L/N greeted Steve the same way he did his father. The King ignored Bucky and the other members of the royal house that had travelled with them.
They made their way to the throne room in relative silence to wait for the Princess.
“My daughter could not be happier to be wed to your son, Rogers. They will make a fine couple.” Y/L/N declared, not noticing how Steve rolled his eyes at Bucky who chocked back a laugh.
“Likewise, Steve cannot wait.” Before either of the Kings could continue their conversation, the door opened and in walked a beautiful young lady.
Steve had to admit she was beautiful but that is where his observations of you ended. Bucky, however, could have wrote essays about you walking through that door. From the way the dress hugged your body perfectly, to the way the colours compliment your skin, to the way you walked, to the smile that looked just a little too fake but still gorgeous, to the way you nervously pushed your hair behind your ear as all eyes were on you. Oh yes, Bucky had never had much skill with a quill but for you he could write poem after poem.
Steve noticed Bucky’s eyes widen and the slightly love struck look on his face and couldn’t help but grin as he nudged his friend. Bucky tensed up before clearly his throat as you walked up to the King’s.
“Father.” You greeted with a curtsy before turning to the newcomers.
“King Rogers,” You smiled with another curtsy, “it is an honour to have you in our Kingdom.”
“Prince Rogers, pleasure to meet you.” Here you curtsied again.
“Princess Y/L/N, what a pleasure it is.” He smiled, taking you hand and bending to kiss it like the perfect Prince was expected.
You couldn’t help but let your gaze drift from Prince Rogers and onto his acquaintance who gave you a small smile.
“How do you do? I’m Princess Y/N and you are?” You asked, stopping yourself from grinning as the man stumbled on his words, a flush of pink making its way onto his face.
“Me? Oh, um, I’m Bucky. Ma’am, you’re majesty. Princess!” You couldn’t help but giggle.
“Do excuse him, milady. Now, what do you say we leave these two in each other's company?”
“I think that is a splendid idea. Won’t you join me?” With that the two Kings left the room, everyone else filing out leaving you, Steve and Bucky.
“So.” Steve began looking around the room awkwardly.
“So.” You repeated, seems you were both thrilled with the arrangement then.
“I’ll just head to the chambers then.” Bucky announced, breaking the awkward silence that had settled in the room.
“No!” Both you and Steve exclaimed before turning to each other and laughing.
“Please stay. I insist.” You told Bucky as you placed a hand on his arm, looking at sincerely.
“Oh well, if you insist.” He said with a laugh, face lighting up. He looked at Steve who nodded, looking thankful and a little bit thoughtful.
“Come. You must see the gardens, they’re beautiful.” You told them before leading them out into the gardens.
- - -
“The gardens mean a lot to you, huh?” Bucky asked, looking over at you questioningly. The two of you were walking side by side as Steve walked ahead.
“They belonged to my mother. She used to maintain them all the time. Since I was a little girl, she taught me how to care for them. It’s one of the few things in this castle that remind me she was actually here; you know? Not just some wonderful figment of imagination I made up to make being here bearable.” You told him, letting your hand trail over some sunflowers.
“They’re beautiful. You don’t like being a princess?” He asked.
“Not at all. I dream of running away, leaving this place behind. My father wouldn’t care, he doesn’t think I, or any woman, is fit for anything other than a man’s accessory, yet alone running a Kingdom. He sees things that should be beautiful and loving, like a marriage, as a chess piece. The war wasn’t going his way so his plan is to marry me off to a total stranger.” You ranted slightly before remembering yourself. “I apologise. It isn’t my place to talk of such things.”
“Don’t apologise. I ain’t a Prince or a royal so I don’t get it as much but it sounds lonely.” Bucky sympathised, running his hand against the back of yours. You looked down, smiling slightly.
“I suppose it is.” You agreed sadly.
“What would you do? If you were a normal person like me?” He asked in curiosity.
“I’d travel wherever I wanted. I’d love whoever I wanted to without caring about if they were a royal. I’d dress in comfier clothing and throw away all my corsets.” You laughed and Bucky joined in.
“Steve’s not a bad guy. You could’ve had it worse; he could have snored.” Bucky grinned as you laughed louder.
“Sometimes I wish I had a choice. I never even get to meet people.” You told him and he frowned before wrapping his arm around your shoulder.
“Trust me, the day’ll come when you’re free to do whatever you want. No rules, no Kings, no agenda. Just you and the world!” He exclaimed causing you to smile softly.
“I hope you’re right Bucky.” You whispered.
“I always am.” He whispered back.

You left Steve and Bucky after a few hours of showing them the grounds and made your way to your library, by far one of you most favourite rooms in the castle. The walls stretched beyond the eye, every inch of the wall filled with more books than you could read, rows of bookcases filled the space, more books resting upon them. The sofa in the room was well worn filled with soft blankets and pillows. You spent more nights in here than you had your own room.
You’d been in the library for a few hours, already well into your second book when a noise startled you from the door.
“Sorry!” The voice exclaimed as you heard a crash. “Crap, sorry.”
“Bucky?” You asked whilst laughing.
“Y/N?” Bucky asked as he turned the corner and saw you sat on the sofa. “I mean your highness, Princess! Princess Y/N!”
“Relax, just call me Y/N.” You laughed.
“Right, Y/N. Sorry, it’s just with Steve it’s all very informal and…” Bucky trailed off as he looked around the room. “Holy cow, that’s a lot of books.”
“Yes, I know. It’s a blessing and a curse really.” You told him with a fond smile.
“Huh?” He asked.
“A blessing because with all these books how can one ever be truly alone? I mean it’s magical being transported into another world. But it’s a curse knowing that I can never read all these books in my lifetime.”
“You really like your books, huh?” He asked as he gestured to the seat next to you. You nodded and smiled at him.
“Just a bit.” You giggled. “So, what brings you to the library?” You asked, knowing it was late, or early depending on how you looked at it.
“Couldn’t sleep. Thought I’d come and explore.” He told you. “What about you?”
“I suppose I got caught up in another world.” You laughed, gesturing to your book, causing him to smile softly at you. “What? Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Sorry. It’s just, if you were any other girl in any other place, I would’ve tried my luck, you know? But you’re a princess who is meant to be marrying my best friend in two days.” He told you with a frown before his eyes widened. “Sorry! I didn’t- God, I’m sorry. Tell me to leave and I will.”
“I don’t want you to leave.” You told him, shocked by how true you found those words to be. “I don’t want you to leave.” You repeated more softly. “I don’t want to marry Prince Rogers and Prince Rogers most certainly does not want to marry me. So, pretend I’m a regular girl you met, no royal talk. What would you do?” You asked as you shifted closer to him.
“I’d tell you that you were the most beautiful girl I’d ever met. That the minute you walked through those doors this morning I knew I was gone. I’d tell you how I never cared much for all the fairy-tale beginnings but seeing you made me realise what those books were talkin’ about. I’d ask you to dance, I’d ask you on a date. I’d ask you to be mine.” He told you, his eyes never leaving yours, his words sincere. You felt your eyes widened and wished more than anything you were a normal girl who had met Bucky in the tavern.
You shocked both yourself and Bucky as you leant forward and pressed your lips together. A little unsure of what to do considering being a Princess didn’t mean a lot of free time for things such as kissing. You felt Bucky smile into the kiss before he took charge, moulding your lips together. His tongue brushing against your lower lip as the kiss deepened. Pausing only to pull away for air and to smile at you before going right back to your lips.
His lips left yours and trailed down to your jaw and towards your neck. You tilted your head, giving him better access and he pressed a kiss there before pulling away slightly causing you to whine.
“This okay, doll?” He asked you, his eyes wide and cheeks flushed.
“Better than okay.” You told him, pulling him down for a kiss.
“You sure?” He asked between them and you nodded.
He grinned at you before going back to your neck and leaving marks you’d love but curse in the morning. He pushed you down so you were lying across the length of the sofa, his arm resting on your hip the other on your breast. You let out a soft moan as you threw your head back, feeling him smirk into your neck.
He trailed kisses down your neck and stopped when he came to the low scoop collar of your shirt, his hand shifting down to the bottom of it and tugging at it questioningly.
“Please.” You whispered and Bucky took that as full permission, smirking as he lifted your shirt off and saw your breasts, he quickly attached himself to one of your boobs, sucking and pulling as he did, one of his hands coming to knead and pull at the unoccupied one leaving you a moaning mess.
The early morning saw you and Bucky together, cuddled on the couch after a night that you would say was quite possibly your best yet. Here, in this room, naked and hot, cuddled against Bucky’s chest, your heart still racing from the pure pleasure of having sex with him, made you wish, more than anything you were a regular girl.
-
-
-
“Morning doll.” Bucky smiled softly as you groaned and shifted on his chest, the only thing keeping you from falling off the couch was his arms around your waist.
“Morning.” You yawned, rubbing tiredly at your eyes causing him to fall just a bit more.
“We should probably get up.” Bucky said regretfully, “last thing we want is someone finding us like this.” You agreed and before long the two of you were dressed and walking over to the door.
“I had fun last night.” Bucky told you with a smile as he brushed some hair from your face before cupping your cheek.
“Me too.” You giggled softly, turning your face slightly to kiss his palm.
“I wish things were different but Steve’s gonna be one lucky man.” He said, pain lacing his words. The frown on his face said more than his words did.
“Steve isn’t the one I want. Things could be different but without this deal...”
“We all got our roles to play, doll.” Bucky said with an eye roll. “I’ll see you at breakfast.” He told you with a smile before leaning down to kiss you, which you happily returned.
“See you at breakfast.” You replied watching him leave the room first before sighing.
You really didn’t want to run the Kingdom. You hated being a royal.
You really did not want to marry Prince Rogers.
-
-
-
“You slept with the Princess?” Steve whispered angrily as he pulled Bucky closer to him.
“Yes, and I don’t regret it, Steve. How could I? I mean she’s perfect.” Bucky told him with a smile that Steve had never seen on his friend.
“You love her.” He stated causing Bucky to look at him like he was an idiot.
“No, you idiot. I’ve known her a day, you can’t love someone in a day.” Bucky reasoned.
“True but you can know a lot about a person in a day. You know if you want them in your life, know that you want to spend your waking days with them.” Steve smiled.
“You know I don’t believe in that crap,” Bucky told him and then sighed causing Steve to grin, “but yeah. I left her this morning and it hurt. I want to wake up with her and go to sleep with her. I want to listen to her talk about her books, listen to her tell me the meaning of flowers and about the stars in the sky. I want to listen to her tell me her stories; I want to tell her mine. I want her, pal, and I can’t have her cause she’s a Princess and it kills me that she hates it here.” Bucky finished with a deep breath, feeling sadness settled into him.
“Why are you smiling like that?” Bucky asked as Steve grinned at him. It took him a moment to realise that he wasn’t grinning at him but something over his shoulder.
“Y/N!” He gasped as he turned around and saw you stood there.
“Bucky.” You rushed towards him, wrapping your arms around his neck, him returning the gesturing by placing his hands around your waist.
“What is the meaning of this? Barnes step away from the Princess this instant!” King Y/L/N snapped causing you all to jump.
“Y/N?” Your father turned to you. You hesitated, looking between Bucky, Steve and the Kings before touching your necklace. Your mother wouldn’t want this for you, she’d want you to be happy and even if this decision meant you leaving the castle, she would stand by you. Even if you left and you and Bucky didn’t work out, well then that’s the way things worked sometimes but you had wanted to give up your royal title for years now. This was just the first opportunity you felt brave enough to do so.
“Father, I hereby renounce my Royal Title in the form of Princess. I renounce my right to the throne as next in line and will leave the castle within the hour.” You told him, only a little shocked by how steady your voice was. You heard everyone around you gasp but paid them no mind.
“Y/N, if you are doing this because of the help.” He sneered and before he could continue you cut him off.
“His name his Bucky Barnes. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Mother would never have forced me to marry somebody I didn’t love, she always told me to stay true to myself and be happy! That is what I am doing. This isn’t about Bucky, Steve or any other man in the Kingdoms. It’s about me!” You told him firmly, feeling Bucky rub your lower back caused you to relax slightly. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to pack.” With that you turned around, you dress flaring dramatically, and left the room.
“Excuse us too,” You heard Prince Rogers say, “we are going to help Y/N pack.” Moments later you had Steve on one side of you and Bucky on the other.
“Well doll I gotta say, I’m proud of you.” Bucky said as he pulled you into a deep kiss causing you to giggle when he pulled back.
“So, what will you do now?” Steve asked you and you shrugged.
“I’ve given it no thought and so many thoughts.” You told him, smiling as he looking at you questioningly. Before you could clarify you were stopped by King Rogers.
“There is a place for you in our home, anyone who can stand up to Y/L/N like that is welcome in my Kingdom.” King Rogers told you causing you to grin.
“Thank you so much.” You told him, curtsying as you did.
“C’mon doll, let’s get you outta here.” And with that the three of you went to pack. It wasn’t long before you said your goodbyes and were in a carriage with Bucky and Steve.

A year had passed since your decision to renounce all royal titles and it was the best decision you had ever made. You had travelled, on your own, with Bucky, with Steve, and seen so much. You’d met so many different types of people from all walks of life. You missed your library but Steve made up for that when he showed you his, you spent a week exploring in there before Bucky and Steve convinced you to come out.
You missed your mothers garden terribly but you had started tending to the Rogers gardens, planting many flowers that your mother adored. It wasn’t the same but it kept her alive.
Whilst Steve and you got along amazingly both of you were glad you had stood up to your father and weren’t married. You had so much in common but Bucky was the one you wanted.
A year later the two of you were closer than ever, taking adventures together, enjoying each other’s company and still getting to know each other. Nights saw the two of you holding each other close whispering stories and secrets and sharing soft kisses in the soft light of the candles.
You both confessed you’re love to each other one late August night, the air still warm with a slight chill that let you cuddle together for warmth. He took you on a picnic down by the lake outside the castle and told you he loved you with all his heart, how everyday with you saw him smiling and happier than he’d ever been. You’d returned the gesture of love of course and the two of you stayed up until the early hours of the morning. Evidence of the night before there on your neck for Steve to joke about.
Leaving your Kingdom was the best decision you had ever made, you thought as you looked at Bucky who was laughing and Steve who smiled proudly.
Yeah, you wouldn’t trade that for anything.

Notes - This is my first Rory imagine so it’s probably ooc a bit, also I tried to avoid using pronouns just because there isn’t much Rory x reader fanfic so anyone can read this!
Requested - Yes - @fanboy7794 - Would you be willing to do a rory x reader, Lorelai hates them and to get rory to break up with them until she sees a sweet moment between them.
You had always been more reckless than most your age, more adventurous, you didn’t really care what other people thought of you and were more than happy with your own company. It was a lot easier to be yourself in a big city like New York, a lot easier to get away with things too but here in small town Stars Hollow, it was the complete opposite of where you wanted to be. The town was too small, too suffocating, everyone knew each other, it was like you couldn’t breathe without everyone knowing.
You’d been in town for a week before the towns people started talking about you. Criticising everything about you; your hair, your dress sense, skipping school, stealing, though they only speculated this they weren’t certain you had, your explicit language. That was just to name a few.
You hardly showed up to school so hadn’t met many other people your age which you were fine with. It wasn’t until you’d been in town for two weeks or so that you bumped in her; Rory Gilmore.
You’d snuck out of the house late one night, you didn’t know why your parents even bothered grounding you any more, they knew you would never listen. You were expecting Stars Hollow to be empty so were surprised when you turned a corner and slammed into another person.
“Watch where you’re going.” You snapped.
“I’m so sorry!” You heard a girl exclaim and looked down to see she had dropped a stack of books and a to go cup from Luke’s. You looked at the girl for a moment, feeling a small smirk pull on your lips, her blue eyes caught your attention straight away, they were mesmerising.
You knelt down to help her pick up some of the books, watching as she looked up at you and smiled shyly.
“I’m Rory Gilmore.” She introduced herself, smiling as you gave her four or so books. “Thank you, I really am sorry, I wasn’t paying attention, I have this exam in two days and I’m just trying to-” She cut herself off with a blush of embarrassment. “Sorry, I’m rambling.”
“Don’t worry about it.” You smirked, “I’m Y/N.”
“I don’t think I’ve seen you around here before.” She prompted and you resisted the urge to roll your eyes, she was intriguing, yes, but you really weren’t in the mood for making friends.
“Yeah, well, me and my family just moved in.” Was all you said but she was nodding and smiling along. “Well, I won’t keep you from studying,” You said with a look that showed how you felt about that particular activity, you rarely showed up to school, yet alone studied outside of school times, “See you around, Gilmore.”
“Good night, Y/N!” Rory grinned at you before walking past you, turning around to get one more look at you before disappearing.
For some reason you found yourself hoping you would see her around.

-
And see her you did.
The second time you ran into Rory was when you had just finished being followed by Taylor, harassing you over missing money that you definitely had stolen. You saw her go into Luke’s alone and couldn’t resist.
You walked into Luke’s, leaning against the counter, and saw the exact moment she saw you. She smiled shyly as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear causing you to fight back a smirk.
“Hey.” She said as she came to stand next to you, you watched as Luke looked between the two of you with a suspicious look.
“Gilmore.” You greeted, nodding your head at her slightly.
“I’ve never seen you before, now I’ve seen you twice in three days. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were following me.” Rory joked causing you to chuckle in amusement.
“Guess you could say I couldn’t resist.” You said, meeting her gaze. She really was beautiful, her eyes, the way her hair fell just past her shoulders. She was wearing a school uniform today that complemented her well. You knew the local school didn’t have a uniform but didn’t know of any other schools. “What’s with the uniform?” You asked, acting uninterested in her answer but listening to every word she said.
“Oh, I go to Chilton.” At your raised eyebrow she clarified, “It’s a private school up in Hartford.”
“Private school, you must be pretty damn smart then.” You acknowledge, watching her as she nodded in agreement. The fact she knew she was smart and owned it made her even more attractive.
“Rory!” You heard someone exclaim from the door. You pulled your gaze away from Rory and saw a woman that resembled her making her way over to the two of you. Not missing how she look at you with disdain.
“Hey mom,” Rory greeted, accepting the one-armed hug her mom gave.
“Who’s this?” She asked but from the way she looked at you, you knew she didn’t need an answer.
“Oh, this is Y/N.” Rory explained that you were new in town and how the two of you had met the other night.
“Well I should be going.” You told her before going to leave but turned around to smirk at her when she called your name.
“You didn’t order anything.”
“Like I said,” You grinned, sounding amused, “I couldn’t resist.” And with that you turned and left Luke’s looking through the window as you passed to see Rory’s cheeks flushed red and her mom scowling between the door and her daughter.

At some point hanging out with Rory became a regular thing for you. You didn’t know how it had happened, just that Rory had come and joined you whenever she saw you and vice versa. At some point you had begun meeting her at the bus stop after she had finished Chilton, she often told you off for skipping school but there wasn’t much heat to her words. Eventually, you talked her into sneaking out of the house. At first it was only to meet up with her in her backyard but over time you’d convinced her to come further out, to the lake, to the centre and had almost convinced her to come on a drive with you though when she saw the bike she shook her head no.
She accepted the way you were, didn’t try to change you, just poked fun and teased you and overtime you found yourself actually liking being around her, something you hadn’t done with many people. It was strange but something about Rory Gilmore spoke to you.
It was after two or so months of hanging out with Rory that you finally admitted to yourself that you liked the bookworm. The two of you would sit by the lake til late at night, you listen to her talk about Chilton and Paris and the books she’d read, she spoke of Friday night dinners and drama with Lorelai. You were attracted to her, her mind, the way she articulated things, her beauty. You hadn’t felt like this in a long time, if ever.
“-and get this, they published my article and it made front page news!” Rory beamed as the two of you were walking towards the lake after you’d picked her up from the bus stop.
“Told you they would.” You grinned, never having a doubt that she wouldn’t get her article published.
“Yeah you did.” She said softly as she gave you a shy smile, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
That was a thing that happened a lot between you and Rory. Small, soft looks were traded between the two of you, both of you glancing secretly at the other when you thought they couldn’t see. Smiles with hidden meanings and words that went unspoken were exchanged back and forth.
“So, what’s next for the great Rory Gilmore?” You smirked knowing that she was getting ready to apply for colleges and stressing out majorly over it even though you had no doubt she could get into any school she wanted.
You watched in amusement as she let out an over exaggerated sigh, running her hand through her hair messily as the two of you sat on the dock.
“I pretty much have everything written but I’m worried that I don’t have enough extracurricular activities but it’s too late to do anything about it now.” She told you, the words coming out in a rush causing you to raise an eyebrow. “Sorry, I’m just quite nervous. I really want to go to Harvard but apparently my grandparents want me to go to Yale and now it’s a big drama.” She exclaimed.
You just shrugged at her, never understanding why people did what they thought was best for other people rather than doing what they wanted. You said as much to her causing her to deflate.
“I know but I don’t want to disappoint anyone.” The look on her face caused you to frown and you cupped her cheek before you could really talk yourself out of doing it. You watched as she looked up at you, wide eyes and lips parted slightly.
“Do whatever you want,” You told her, brushing your thumb against her cheek, smiling slightly as she leaned into the touch, “Harvard, Yale, community college, drop out or run away to Paris or wherever it is you wanna go. Do whatever you want.” Without giving it, another thought you leaned down and pressed your lips to hers.
The kiss was hesitant to begin with, a feather-like touch of your lips against hers, giving Rory a chance to pull away if she wanted to. You were close enough to her that you felt her tense up and you were seconds away from pulling away, from apologising but before you could she was returning the kiss, just as hesitant as you, barely a brush of your lips. She pulled away first, blushing as she did.
“Y/N,” She began but the words seemed to die on her lips as she leaned back in, kissing you with more force this time. What had been just a brush against your lips turned into passionate make out session, your hands cupping her cheeks, hers looped around your neck, playing with your hair. It was quite a few minutes before the two of you pulled away gasping for air.
“Hi.” You whispered as you let your forehead rest on hers.
“Hi.” She giggled, soft smile on her face.
“I’ve wanted to do that for a while.” You confessed, grinning when she admitted to wanting it too. This was new for you, you weren’t used to being close to very many people, especially not like how you were with Rory, how you wanted to be with Rory.
“Let me take you on a date?” You asked, warmth spreading inside you when she agreed.

In a town like Stars Hollow news spread like wild fire and the fact that you had been dating Rory for just over two months without anyone finding out was astounding. You knew how much the townspeople cared for the Gilmores and how they kept a closer eye on her when you were around and so you were expecting to get caught as you held her hand or pressed a quick kiss to her lips, you weren’t expecting to get caught like this.
It was just past midnight when you snuck across the garden and quietly tapped against Rory’s window. You smiled as she opened it, every noise sounding amplified as you climbed through and greeted her with a kiss, pulling her close and pressing her against the wall. You felt her kiss back with as much force as you before she smiled into the kiss and pulled back, resting her head against the wall and panting lightly.
“Hello to you too.” She grinned as she let her palms rest on your chest, you smiled back at her before diving in again to pepper kisses from her jawline to her neck, smirking against her skin as she titled her head back for you.
You weren’t surprised when after a few minutes of making out Rory pushed you away. The two of you had never done more than kiss, you knew it was something Rory wasn’t ready for, but you enjoyed how she still blushed beautifully each time the two of you shared a heated kiss.
You flopped down of her bed, watching as she laughed quietly and sat next to you. You wrapped your arm around her shoulder letting her cuddle into your side. The two of you stayed on her bed for well over two hours, talking in whispered voices, laughing quietly desperately trying not to wake Lorelai up and kissing some more.
It was well after two that you had to leave, you’d already stayed longer than you planned to considering it was a school night, which meant very little to you but Rory insisted she had to go. You were currently laying on top of her, pressing soft kisses against her lips and finally pulled away to pull your shoes on.
“I really have to go now.” You insisted as she sat up next to you.
You said your goodbyes and shared a handful more of kisses before you climbed out of the window, not thinking anyone would see.

“Lorelai, there you are, doll!” Babette called from her lawn, waving frantically to Lorelai who was just stepping out of the house.
“Hey Babette, everything ok?” She asked as she met the woman half way.
“You’ll never guess what I saw last night!” She exclaimed, “A kid was sneaking out of your house, now it was dark, doll, but I coulda sworn it was that new kid, Y/N, is it?” She asked before shaking her head. “Anyway, I thought I’d let you know. It was midnight when I first saw Y/N and then saw the kid leaving at two.”
Lorelai was horrified but she smiled and quickly thanked Babette before storming off, making her way to Luke’s. There was nothing she could do until Rory got home.

“Hey kid.” Lorelai greeted the moment Rory walked through the door. Rory rounded the corner into the kitchen and threw her bag into her room as she said hi to Lorelai. “So, anything exciting happen since last night?” She asked causing Rory to shoot her a look of confusion.
“Erm, no, just school.” Rory said cautiously, not knowing where this was going but Lorelai was obviously upset over something.
“Oh cool, cool.” Lorelai nodded, staying silent for a few moments before speaking again, “It’s just, this morning I had a really interesting conversation with Babette. Did you know she said she saw some kid that happened to look exactly like Y/N sneaking in and out of our house last night?”
Rory froze as she reached for a mug, eyes wide and face draining of colour. It was no secret Lorelai didn’t like you, she didn’t realise the extent of just how well the two of you were getting along. Even in public you seemed more like casual acquaintances more than anything. Rory knew there was no way of getting out of this and honestly, she was a little relieved, she hated lying to Lorelai but she hadn’t come up with a good way to tell her about you.
Slowly Rory turned around and faced Lorelai, a sheepish look on her face.
“Before you get mad-” Rory began but was quickly cut off by Lorelai.
“Oh, I’m already mad, in fact, I’m so far past mad, mad looks pretty tame!” Lorelai exclaimed as she stood up, locking eyes with Rory. “How long?” She asked, her tone eerily flat.
“Mom-”
“How long, Rory?” She asked again and watch as Rory screwed her eyes shut before answering.
“A little over two months.” She confessed; voice barely louder than a whisper but in the quiet of the room she may as well of shouted it.
“Two months!?” Lorelai yelled, “That kid, that low life kid, has been sneaking around with you, sneaking into my house, for two months? Why Rory? I mean I know opposites attract but come on, the kid skips school, steals, lies, vandalises property, I mean seriously Rory the list is endless, what are you thinking?”
“I’m thinking you don’t know Y/N, like I do. You don’t see the sides I do, the kind, sweet and caring side. I really like Y/N.” Rory pleaded with Lorelai but she just shook her head.
“I want you to end this, Rory.” Lorelai said leaving no room for argument.
“Please mom.” Rory tried her eyes filling with tears.
“No Rory, end it.” And with that Lorelai turned and went upstairs, leaving Rory in the kitchen with silent tears falling down her face.

Rory paced her room as she waited for you to arrive. She had called you a few hours after she had calmed down and asked to see you. You hadn’t thought much of it though you probably should have considering it was only five and she had told you to use the front door.
Her heart felt like it had stopped when she heard a knock on the door and she could see Lorelai looking from her spot on the sofa. With a deep breath she opened the door and stepped out onto the porch.
“Hey.” She greeted, her tone void of emotion and her eyes still looked red.
“Hey.” You returned softly, stepping closer to cup her cheek and run your thumb against her cheek. She allowed herself to lean into the touch for a moment before pushing you away. “Everything ok?”
“We have to break up.” She managed to say after a long moment of silence. Your eyes widened as you took in what she said.
“Wait, what?” You asked, frowning as you took a step back, looking at her in confusion.
“I’m sorry,” She told you, teary eyes wide as she did, “but we have to break up.”
“Why?” You asked, trying to control your emotions, trying not to let it show how much she was hurting you.
She just shook her head at you. A few tears managed to make their way down her face as she looked at you apologetically.
“Please, just tell me why.” You tried again but she just shook her head and whispered an apology. “Rory-” You began but she spoke before you could continue.
“I’m so sorry.” Was all she said before dashing back inside, leaving you looking at the closed front door with tears in your eyes.

It had been just over a week since your unexpected break up with Rory. In that time, you had taken every opportunity you could to disrupt the town whether it be by stealing from the market, causing such a disruption that the parade couldn’t commence and just generally annoyed the townspeople so much you were the only topic at that week’s town meeting.
You hated to admit how much it was hurting you that Rory had broken up with you out of the blue without any warning. Sure, you were polar opposites in most ways, she was the straight a student who put school before anything and you would rather skip school and cause a scene but you had plenty in common as well.
It was nearing on 6pm when you had finally had enough. You at least deserved to know why Rory had broken up with you so you climbed out of your bedroom window with ease and made your way over to her house hoping she was home.
The entire walk over there you thought of every reason she could give and most of them you couldn’t argue with and by the time you got to her window you’d convinced yourself that it was a bad idea, that she could do so much better than you but still, you took a deep breath and knocked quietly on her window.
You watched as she looked at you in confusion, her eyes seemed a little red around the edges as she opened her window.
“Y/N?” She asked, the crease in between her eyebrows deepening as she titled her head.
“I’m sorry,” You began, not noticing that her bedroom door was open or the fact that Lorelai was stood there listening to everything that was about to be said, “I know you probably don’t want to see me but I have to know why?” You asked, eyes wide as you pleaded with her.
“Y/N.” She sighed, looking down and tugging at the sleeves of her sweater. “I didn’t-” She started but her voice broke, you didn’t need to see her eyes to know they had filled with tears.
“Hey, I’m sorry, I’ll leave but I really like you and I want so badly to be with you but I know you can do so much better, you deserve better and I’m just sorry I couldn’t be that.” Your own voice sounded strained now and you cursed yourself for letting your eyes water up.
Rory’s head snapped up as she shook her head, reaching out and grabbing one of your hands.
“Stop it, none of this is your fault.” She cried and you took a step closer, leaning up to wipe away her tears with your free hand. Rory leaned down and pressed your foreheads together. “My mom doesn’t like you and she said I had to break up with you, I’m so sorry.”
Out of all the reasons you thought she would give you this wasn’t it. Though a part of you should have probably considered it considering how close she was with her mom.
You heard yourself laugh in disbelief before shaking your head.
“I can’t convince you to get back with me, much as I want to I know how close your mom and you are and I don’t want to be the one to come between that but Rory Gilmore I like you, I like you a lot and-” You were cut off by Rory leaning down to kiss you, it was messy and uncoordinated but right and perfect. You allowed yourself a few moments to just kiss her back, to have her this close before you regretfully pulled away from her.
“I’m sorry.” She mumbled and you let out a watery, unamused chuckled and leaned up to kiss her forehead.
“See you around, Gilmore.” You smiled and it hurt you to pull away from her but you did.

Lorelai watched as you pulled away from Rory and watched as Rory collapsed down on her bed with tears falling freely down her face. She frowned at the scene in front of her feeling like she had screwed up. Maybe making Rory break up with you was a mistake, maybe she had to let Rory be with somebody like you, honestly it was probably long overdue. She could tell, at least from what she had overheard, that you definitely cared for Rory and that you didn’t want to hurt her. With a sigh Lorelai entered Rory’s room and sat down next to her crying daughter, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her close.
“Listen kid, if you wanna be with Y/N, that’s fine. I might not like it but if it makes you happy then what I say doesn’t matter and if it does end badly, well that’s what ice cream and movies are for.” She smiled.
Rory looked up at her with wet, hopeful eyes and hesitantly asked if she was sure. As much as she liked you, she didn’t want to do anything to disrupt their dynamic.
“I’m sure, kid.” Lorelai reassured, sure she might not be your biggest fan but you made her daughter happy and at the end of the day that’s all she could ask for.

You were at Luke’s the next morning, sipping on your drink as you tried to keep your eyes open. You couldn’t sleep last night no matter how much you tried, you just kept tossing and turning.
Thankfully nobody bothered you and you were able to enjoy your drink in peace. You didn’t bother looking up when you heard the door open and rolled your eyes when you heard someone pull the chair across from you out.
“Piss off.” You snapped but your head shot up when you heard Rory.
“Hi.” She spoke hesitantly. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have broken up with you just because of my mom, it was wrong and I’m sorry.”
“I get it, ok, you and your mom are close.” You told her and meant it, you knew story and her mom where close, had been their whole lives and you knew you never stood a chance the moment Lorelai found out.
“My mom came and spoke to me last night after you left and she said it was ok if we dated. She doesn’t love it but she’s willingly to give it a chance.” Rory told you with a small smile on her face, nervous for your reaction.
You looked at her blankly for a moment before a smile worked its way onto your face.
“Seriously?” You asked and she nodded, her own smile widening.
“Yeah, I really am sorry for all this though.” You just rolled your eyes at her before telling her to come with you, pulling her out of the seat and tugging her after you.
You led Rory over towards the lake, the two of you sitting on the dock, looking out at the water.
“So, we’re really ok?” You asked just to check, wanting to confirm it. Rory smiled at you, leaning forward to cup your cheek.
“We’re ok.” She reassured and with that you leaned forward, pressing your lips against hers in a hard and passionate kiss that showed just how much you had missed her.
