Requested - Yes - anon - Could I please get 16 with Bucky please? Fluff, minor minor angst and happy cheesy ending!! Thank you, love your work!

Prompts - “You met me at a very strange time in my life.”

The weather outside the tower was freezing but JARVIS, perfect as always, had the heating on just right. It had been a long few days for many in the tower, Bucky had slipped into flashbacks and nightmares which had left him tired, scared and on edge, fearing the Winter Soldier could make an appearance at any time.

The two of you were now curled up together in bed, Bucky’s head resting on your chest and you lazily ran your fingers through his hair. Though you were both exhausted, you’d only gotten a few hours sleep and decided silently that today was a lazy day. No getting up for anything other than toilet and snack breaks, a day spent cuddled together watching films on Bucky’s to watch list and enjoying each others company.

“‘M really sorry, doll.” Bucky murmured, you’d lost count of how many times he had apologised to you since coming back to himself. You’d known from the beginning, hell you’d known since before getting together, that there was going to be a lot of trauma attached to the man but you’d been determined to help him out as much as you could.

“I’ve told you over and over, you’ve nothing to apologise for. I’m here for you, Buck, nothings gonna change that.” You told him softly, placing a kiss of his forehead causing him to smile up at you.

“I love you so much, Y/N/N.” He whispered, shifting so he could press your lips together in a slow, lazy kiss.

“I love you too.” You breathed out, smiling against his lips.

“You get the snacks and I’ll set up the tv?” You asked. Bucky nodded, leaning up to give you one last kiss before he made his way out of the room and focused on his task. You quickly had JARVIS play the next film on the list. There were many on the list you yourself hadn’t had a chance to watch yet, whether it be because you were busy with school or finding out you had powers and were being recruited to join the Avengers, there just hadn’t been time so getting to enjoy them with Bucky was something you’d always treasure.

It wasn’t long before the two of you were back on the bed, cuddled together with the movie half way through. Things had been pretty silent with the exception of the occasional comment from both of you.

“You met me at a very strange time in my life.” Bucky said out of the blue. It took you a moment to completely register what he had said but when you did you looked away from the movie and up at the man next to you.

“What?” You asked, confusion written on your face.

“It’s just, when we met I still wasn’t sure who I really was, huh I don’t even know if I can say I know who I am know but I feel better than I did then. What I guess I’m saying is I’m glad I met you even if I didn’t know it then. You helped when you didn’t have to, stuck up for me when I didn’t know I needed it. I know I got Steve and I love him but he stayed because of the Bucky he knew then, you stayed for the broken man you met. Gosh doll, I’m no good with words but I just want you to know how glad I am for you.” He told you, not one bit of doubt in his words. Yours eyes were wide at his speech but before you could answer him, he continued. “I tried to plan this out ya know, make it romantic like Steve said but then Sam said I’d know the right moment and I think this is it. So Y/N, will you marry me?” He asked, pulling a ring out of his pants pocket.

You froze before your eyes moved from his to the ring. This was the last thing you had expected Bucky to ask you, not because you hadn’t hoped but because you didn’t know if it was something he had wanted. Your eyes filled with tears as you nodded your head madly.

“Yes, of course Bucky, Yes!” You exclaimed causing him too laugh and pull you into a kiss.

Safe to say it was one of the best lazy days you’d ever had.

The Terrible Talk

The Terrible Talk

Requested - Yes - Anon - Please could you use prompt 125 with Tony x reader, them having the relationship defining talk with angst but lots of fluff too! Thank you!

Prompts - 125. “I’ve missed you so much.”

You’d met Tony Stark for the first time at a charity gala, what the charity was you couldn’t remember. Memories from that night were filled with Tony, from him bumping into you to the early morning where you fell into bed with each other. You had of course known about the man’s playboy reputation but you hadn’t cared at the time, thinking it would be a onetime thing.

What you didn’t expect was for Tony Stark to show up, a year or so later, in the club you and your friends were at. What you really didn’t expect was for Tony Stark to seek you out, remembering you from that night long ago. The night ended the same as the last encounter.

You’d grown suspicious when seven months later Tony Stark had shown up at the same family run, hole in the wall cafe you frequented. You hadn’t noticed at first, eyes glued to your laptop as you typed your paper up, it wasn’t until he cleared his throat causing you to look up at him in shock, very obviously not expecting Tony to be sat across from you.

“Hey.” He’d smiled at you like an old friend who you hadn’t seen for a while.

“Hi?” You replied, confusion clear in your tone.

He had told you he knew about your work, told you it was brilliant but needed some work. You tried not to feel insulted as this, was stranger the right word here, began listing things that needed looking at. The speech finished with him offering you a job at Stark Industries in order to evolve your theory, working with some of the best tech in the world.

It was a hard opportunity to pass on but you did.

“I didn’t sleep with you for you to offer me a job.” You had told him.

“I know.” He shrugged easily, “but turning this down is pretty stupid. Here’s my card, thinks about it.” With that Tony was gone.

It was a year before you saw Tony again. This time he met you in the library, you were shocked but didn’t let it show on your face.

“So, funny how we keep meeting, huh?” He asked you with a cocky grin.

“Yeah, funny.” You told him with a raised eyebrow.

“I’m here to talk about your paper on…” With that Tony launched into a speech on your paper on medical engineering and the advancements that could be made, along with the formulas to do so. “You won’t come work for me on your artificial intelligence work, at least come and work with the medical team, they’re always looking for ways to become more advanced and we could use your expertise.”

There was an urge to decline again but you accepted. This was an opportunity and if you hated it, you’d leave. Tony was thrilled and started rambling about paper work and flights.

Tony had invited you for dinner a week after you’d started working for Stark Industries. You were over the moon you’d accepted the offer, working with some of the most advanced minds was insane but more than that having these conversations with people who understood you, instead of looking at you with a look of confusion.

Dinner with Tony Stark was an unusual affair, starting with the paparazzi and ending with the restaurant you definitely couldn’t afford with food you couldn’t pronounce. Other than the few abnormalities the night was amazing, you talked about your life, your research and in turn he told you about his. He told you about switching from weapons into the work they were focusing on now.

The night ended differently to how your other nights with Tony had ended in the way that you fell into your own bed, alone, rather than with the older man. You didn’t regret it, not wanting people to get the wrong idea, but part of you mourned the loss.

-

-

-

Dinner with Tony became a regular occurrence that led into movie nights in his cinema room, theatre trips or a stroll around Central Park. It was safe to say there was something between the two of you; you’d met his closest friends Rhodey, Pepper and Happy and he’d met the friends you had made since arriving in New York.

There was no labels, no in depth talk about a relationship or exclusivity. No boundaries were created. Every time one of you braved bringing the conversation up it ended badly, or more specifically never even began in the first place.

The first time he had tried to bring it up ended with an alert from JARVIS alerting him of an Avengers level threat in which you had to watch Tony from a TV screen almost die. When you had tried to bring it up Pepper had interrupted with papers for Tony to sign. All in all, it seemed the universe didn’t want you to have this conversation.

You’d been working for Tony for eleven months when the argument came. Admittedly Tony and you knew it was bound to happen. Eleven months of dates, sex and an undiscussed relationship was going to led to this.

“Just tell me what you want?!” You exclaimed in his workshop, the bots had moved to the side after the argument started heating up, beeping sadly.

“I, God, Y/N, I want this!” Tony shouted.

“This? What even is this? I mean we’re just to people who keep each other company!” You shot back.

“Seriously that’s what you-” Tony began but was quickly cut off.

“I don’t know what to think because we haven’t spoken! I’m not putting the blame on you alone but-”

“Sir, my apologies for interrupting but it seems there is an emergency that requires your attention. I have sent the location to your suit.” JARVIS’s voice filled the room and you couldn’t help but laugh because of course this was happening. You couldn’t even hate it because Tony was saving people.

“I have to go.” He said as he stepped into the suit.

“I know.”

“Can we please talk later?”

“I think I’m done talking.” You told him, turning to leave and though he called you back you kept walking. As the elevator doors shut you heard the whirl of the amour and let your head fall back.

-

-

-

“You know,” Rhodey began as he stepped into your lab, “I’ve never seen Tony this way. I’ve known him since he was a scrawny teenager and even then, nothing like this. He misses you; you know?”

“Rhodey,” you sighed, “trust me I want to be with him too-”

“Then do it.” Rhodey said let it was the easiest, most obvious solution in the world and in theory it probably was but executing it was so much harder.

“I can’t. We can’t. Hell, we were practically together for eleven months but we never talked, I mean not about what we were.” You sat down in the seat next to you, suddenly feeling exhausted. You’d avoided Tony for a month and you admitted, only to yourself, that you missed him.

“Yeah that talk sucks. It’s a terrible talk to have but you need it, not just you and Tony but everybody in a relationship has to have that talk. Define the relationship, know where you stand with each other. It’s a ten-minute terrible talk that could lead to a life time of happiness.” Rhodey told you, moving to sit opposite you as he spoke.

It was a crappy talk. Nobody wanted it, it was scary defining a relationship when you hardly knew what you wanted. Though you had shouted at Tony for saying it you knew what he meant when he said he wanted ‘this’. What you two had going was pretty great, had the potential to be even better with the talk.

“I’ll consider it.” You said before pretending to work.

“All I can ask for. See you around, Y/N.” Rhodey said, leaving you with your thoughts.

-

-

-

“I’ve missed you so much.” Tony said taking you in his arms. You couldn’t help but melt into the embrace.  “C’mon, let’s talk.” He said, pulling away and leading the pair of you over to the sofa in his workshop.

And you did talk. You spoke about how you both liked each other, groaning over the fact you sounded like two school kids with a crush. You spoke about how you both liked what you had going, but you wanted it to be a real relationship, exclusive to only the two of you which Tony admitted he wanted to.

The two of you talked into the night, ordering take out and moving up to Tony’s floors and watching a movie. The two of you talked until you fell asleep in a mess of limbs on the sofa just after two in the morning.

It’s safe to say though the talk is scary, it is definitely worth it for a life-time of happiness.

Prompts - ‘Everyone deserves a second chance’ & ‘I dreamed every day of being by your side’ & ‘I don’t mean to stare’

You don’t know how you ended up down here, staring into the eyes of the most dangerous being in the tower. Tony had expressly forbidden you from going down, told you it was too risky, that the man in that cell could manipulate you into doing anything for him.

Naturally you hadn’t listened to a word he said, too curious, too stubborn? Who knew? All you knew now was that you were sneaking around the tower for nightly visits with the prisoner occupying the lower floors.

As you looked at him tonight, really looked at him, it was hard to remember he was a dangerous person, hard to remember he’d killed people, tricked and deceived people for his own gain. Watching as he sat cross legged on the floor in front of the glass that shut him away from the world, listening as he read a worn novel aloud to you.

It was easy to forget in moments like this you were breaking every rule, easy to forget this man could quite easily just be playing you.

For some reason you thought the risk of getting hurt amounted to nothing compared to how happy these stolen moments made you.

-

“Ah the one with the magic, I presume?” Loki asked as you entered the room after minutes of pacing.

When you didn’t reply Loki continued, “you’re clearly not down here for some friendly chit-chat, what can I do for you?”

A funny question considering you didn’t have the damn clue on how to respond. Why had you come down here?

“Still nothing? Ok then, magic one, won’t you have a seat?” He offered, gesturing to the large sofa that was placed on your side of the glass, you assumed it was used by Thor on his daily visits down here.

“I don’t know why I’m here.” You said after an uncomfortable amount of silence had passed.

Loki looked up at you, his face giving nothing away about what he thought.

“I don’t know why you’re here either,” he replied eventually, “but it’s not often a pretty face comes to visit me so you won’t see me turning you away.” He smirked causing you to suppress an eye roll.

“I don’t know about that, Thor is definitely pretty.” You stated causing Loki to chuckle, his eyes lighting up with emotions you couldn’t place.

“One would have to question your taste.” He shot back.

“See Thor’s got the looks and he seems like he’d be very gentleman like, whereas you...well I’m sure the angsty teenager look will come back into fashion at some point.”

You watched as Loki laughed again, he sat up as if he was intrigued by you, leaning forward from his seat on the chair.

Maybe you hadn’t known why you went down there but you hadn’t regretted the decision after leaving.

-

‘Whatcha reading?” You asked as you entered the room, grinning at the glare you received for the interruption.

Loki held the book up so you could see the cover, “Thor decided to bring me a selection of Midgard books, admittedly they’re not all terrible.”

“The Great Gatsby? Not bad, meant to be a timeless classic here on Midgard.” You said, scrunching your nose at the foreign word, noticing the corners of Loki’s mouth twitch upwards.

“You’ve never read it?” He asked, looking from the book and to you, giving you his full attention whilst his finger pressed against the sentence he was on.

“Eh, not a lot of time to read the classics when you’re being experimented on for your magic.” You shrugged.

“They experimented on you? For you magic?” Loki asked as he filled anger bubbling inside him, he hadn’t known you for very long but you were one of the last people who deserved treatment of that kind.

“Well magic isn’t as common here as it is for you. It’s fine, I mean they tried for a few years and then Tony got a hold of me, helped me with my magic and to deal with what had happened.” You explained, giving him the brief version of it.

You still weren’t entirely sure who the people who took you were, just that they were an organisation who had no trouble torturing you as they tried to figure out how your magic worked, if they could extract it from your DNA and if it could be implanted into their weapon. The way they spoke of the weapon made it sound like it was a human but you were never able to find anything out about it.

Tony had found you because he was looking for a friend of a friend. You didn’t remember much of the day only that you had woken up briefly after a bad session with the organization doctors to see the door being blasted off by a robot and then you woke up in a real hospital bed with Tony sat waiting for you.

“And what of the people who hurt you?” Loki asked, snapping you from your thoughts.

“They’re dead. Tony blew their base up when he found me.”

“Good.” Was Loki’s dark reply.

Loki looked at you, there was still plenty of anger but he could see how you’d gone a shade or two paler, how you were getting lost in your thoughts. He had never been very good at comforting people, so instead he began to speak, softly, soothingly.

“He smiled understandingly- more than understandingly. It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four or five times in life. It faced-or seemed to face-the whole external world for an instant and then concentrated on you with an irresistible prejudice in your favour…”

Loki continued to read, glancing up at you every so often until he saw that you had fallen asleep, curled up on the couch with no trace of the unwanted memories from before.

Loki felt himself fill with pride and couldn’t control the soft smile on his face no matter how hard he tried.

-

You had no idea when or if Loki was going to be released from the cell he was in. It wasn’t a conversation you had ever brought up with him, too distracted by other things to dwell on the negative. But at night when you were alone with your thoughts you couldn’t help but wonder about Loki’s future.

You knew what he had done, you’d heard all sides of the story, Loki’s included, and whilst, yes, he needed some form of punishment, the pain and control lost to Thanos would probably have covered it.

It’s why you brought the topic up with Tony one day when the two of you were alone in his workshop.

“But I have magic!” You protested when Tony cut you off without hearing you out, “between the two of us, your mind and my magic, we could create something to keep Loki’s magic at bay.”

“Alright kid, what’s the sudden fascination with Loki?” He asked, turning to face you.

“I heard what happened to him, ok? I just-” You trailed off, looking down and missing the expression of disbelief on Tony’s face.

“Please, please tell me you haven’t been going down to see Loki, Y/N.” It wasn’t a question, it was like Tony was begging that the answer wouldn’t be yes.

You debated on whether you should tell him the truth or just lie but eventually you just sighed.

“I’ve been going to see him every night for months.” You confessed.

“Y/N!” Tony yelled before turning his attention to the ceiling. “JARVIS why the hell was I not informed that she’s been sneaking down there?”

“Miss Y/L/N was never in any danger. My settings only require me to alert you when a person who enters floor thirty four is in danger.” JARVIS responded promptly.

“See!” You exclaimed, “I was never in any danger, Loki hasn’t tried to hurt me.”

“You don’t know Loki-” Tony began but you cut him off angrily.

“I know him more than you do! Tony, please, give him a chance. We can work on something to restrain his magic but please, you can’t keep him in that cell forever, it’s not right, not when he was a victim too.”

“Y/N,” he sighed tiredly, “it’s not up to me and you know it. You’d have to convince the whole team and believe me when I tell you that’s not gonna happen, the only person you’d have on your side would be Thor.”

“Please Tony,” you said quietly, “he deserves a chance. I hurt people too, I killed people because they forced me too. I deserved to be locked up but you gave me a second chance.” You admitted. You knew the organisation had made you do things, somehow they got into your mind, made it so it wasn’t your own once they realised they couldn’t extract your magic.

“Oh kid…” Tony sighed but you were suddenly exhausted. There was only one place you wanted to be and it wasn’t here.

With a quick goodbye you asked JARVIS to take you to floor thirty four.

Loki immediately knew something was wrong.

He watched you lay on the couch, facing him but your eyes showed you weren’t seeing much of the room, instead locked away in your head with your thoughts.

“Darling?” He asked quietly, not wanting to startle you.

He hadn’t even noticed the term of endearment that slipped out until he saw you smile, no matter how tiny it was.

“What happened?” He wasn’t shocked when his question was met with silence but he carried on talking so that you didn’t get too lost in your head.

He knew your favourite thing to listen to him talk about was Asgard, your face was always beautiful as he spoke about the planet, your eyes lit up as he explained the beauty of the palace, the calm of the gardens, the peace you could find in the library and the excitement that was always in the air.

You loved to hear the stories of his childhood, of him and Thor, the adventures, the pranks. You loved watching him talk about Thor and his mother, a different kind of softness took over Loki when he recalled the fond memories.

“Did I ever tell you about the time that I accidentally broke Thor’s leg whilst trying to sneak past Heimdall to visit another planet?” He asked, watching as you shook your head as if to clear your thoughts before looking at him, looking a lot more aware than before, before you shook your head again.

You were fast asleep before Loki had gotten to the end of his tale.

-

It took months before the team shifted their views on Loki but they could hardly deny Tony’s technology mixed with your magic to create a non-intrusive device that would contain Loki’s magic. Naturally you hadn’t told them about some minor adjustments you had made, i.e letting Loki use magic that was good, he couldn’t use it if he had bad intentions.

You wanted to be the one to tell Loki the news but after seeing how happy Thor was you let him.

“No, please Y/N, I insist you tell him, after all this is all your doing.” Thor replied.

“Thor really,” You began but he cut you off.

“How about we both tell him?” He compromised and you readily agreed, both of you grinning as you made your way down to Loki’s floor.

“Ah brother, Y/N. To what do I owe the pleasure?” He asked and your smile got even wider if at all possible.

“JARVIS,” you began, “would you please open the door?” You asked watching as Loki rolled his eyes. It was something you’d asked JARVIS a hundred times and you’d always gotten the same answer of how it was against protocols.

This time however…

“Right away, Miss Y/L/N.” JARVIS replied and you watched as Loki’s eyes widened as the door opened for him.

“What is this?” He asked, struggling to keep his voice steady.

“Lady Y/N here managed to convince the team to let you out, though you will have to wear this magic suppressing bracelet.” Thor explained and gestured to the thin black bracelet he held in his hand.

You watched as Loki took a hesitant step forward, as if he expected the door to slam shut, but the second he stepped foot past the threshold he exhaled in disbelief before looking directly at you.

“You did this, darling, for me?” He asked as he took another step forward.

“Everyone deserves a second chance.” You replied quietly, almost shyly which was strange considering you’d been with him every day for the last few months but this was different.

Loki didn’t respond, he just smiled softly at you, eyes still full of disbelief.

It wasn’t until Thor cleared his throat that he spoke again.

“I don’t mean to stare but…” He trailed off for a moment before taking another step forward so he was directly in front of you, “I dreamed every day of being by your side, a foolish dream I thought, a terrible, hopeful dream of being able to touch you one day. I thought I’d never have the chance, yet here you are. So beautiful, my darling.” He said as he reached a hand out to cup your cheek, smiling as you learnt into the touch.

“Thank you, darling.” He whispered before leaning down and pressing his lips gently to yours.

You didn’t have a clue what the future had in store for you but you were content, here and now. Loki was out of his cage and even if the two of you crashed and burned, everyone deserves a second chance.

Prompts - Love Story by Taylor Swift + Royalty AU

The room was lit with soft lights, candles flickering with the breeze that blew in through the open windows and there was a dream-like feeling to the evening. People from near and far travelled to attend the annual ball thrown by the Stark family and you had yet to get bored of them. Looking around the room, it seemed almost magical, like anything could happen on a night like this.

You made your way around the room, as the only Stark heir it was your duty to talk to everybody, welcome them and thank them for attending. You didn’t mind the job but you also wished you had a moment to yourself.

Everyone looked beautiful on nights like these, the ball gowns and tuxedos, the elaborate hairstyles and perfectly done makeup. You too had made an effort for tonight, you loved being able to dress up like this, the ballgown hugged your body beautifully.

It wasn’t long before you were making your way to one of the balconies, the doors open already, allowing you to step out into the chilly evening. The stars shone brightly in the sky as you leaned against the railing, looking up at them.

You had missed the eyes on you all evening, the way he would go to approach you before shaking his head, knowing it was not allowed, knowing how much trouble he’d be in but as he watched you look up at the night sky, he knew he had to talk to you.

Consequences be damned.

The man made his way through the crowd and out to you. Once he was outside he cleared his throat causing you to turn around.

“Hello,” He smiled, “I do hope I’m not intruding.”

You froze momentarily. Loki Odinson stood before you with a soft smile on his face, looking at you like you were the only person at the ball.

Of course you knew who he was. Over the years you had grown a small crush on the man, knowing him since you were children. Only you had never really gotten the chance to know him as your fathers both despised each other. The Odinson Kingdom, Asgard, was one Kingdom over and King Odin and King Tony were constantly battling with each other, it went without saying that that meant you were not allowed contact with any of the royal children.

You blushed as you realised just how long the silence had stretched.

“Of course not,” you replied, smiling shyly back at him. His smile widened as he stepped forward to join you, leaning against the balcony, looking up at the stars.

Your eyes remained on him, up close he was even more beautiful.

“It’s a beautiful evening.” He murmured, not looking away.

“Yes it is.” You agreed, shifting as you realised how much trouble you’d be in should you be caught.

“You look beautiful too, if you don’t mind me saying.” He told you, causing you to look back at him.

He smiled as a blush settled on your cheeks.

“T-thank,” You stuttered before clearing your throat, “thank you, Prince Loki.”

He laughed, a laugh you would remember for weeks, months, years to come. It was a laugh that made you want to smile, a laugh that made you feel safe.

It was a laugh that made you realise just how screwed you were.

“Please, just Loki.” He insisted.

Little did you know in that moment, a beautifully tragic love story was born.

-

For weeks to come you and Loki continued to spend time together. Loki, you’d learnt early on, was a man of many talents. One of them included sneaking in and out of Kingdoms and castles without so much as a whisper of him being there.

You had no idea how he managed to get onto the heavily guarded castle grounds but somehow he did it. You spent nights waiting for the sound of pebbles hitting your window. The first night it had happened, you were thoroughly confused and rushed to the window only to relax upon seeing Loki grinning up at you.

This continued for months.

Loki had taken you on some many adventures in the short time you had known him. It was so different from your life of royal duties, meetings and tea and princes who only saw you as a means to the crown.

Loki though, Loki was different.

Loki grabbed your hand and the two of you were running towards everything. You felt something with him you’d never felt before.

You felt fearless.

Loki had taken you to places where neither of you were recognised as Princess Stark or Prince Odinson. He had taken you to small towns and big cities, you had seen the peacefulness of the lakes and woods and museums and the loudness of concerts and balls. The two of you had danced in the rain and kissed on sidewalks.

It was magical.

Of course that meant it was all going to come crashing down horribly.

-

One night you were sitting on your bed waiting for the sounds of pebbles hitting your windows but it never came. Instead one of the royal guards knocked on your door and escorted you down to the entrance hall.

You gasped as you saw two guards gripping Loki’s arms, your father stood next to them glaring at Loki and your mother looking more disappointed than you’d ever seen. All eyes fell on you as you froze on the stairs taking in the situation.

“Y/N, care to share what’s happening here?” Your father asked and you already knew this was going to end badly for the both of you.

“Daddy,” You began, voice shaking. You didn’t get far though as Tony cut you off.

“Odinson!” He exclaimed, suddenly looking furious. You watched as Loki looked backed down at his shoes. “Why the hell is Loki Odinson standing outside your window, sneaking around my castle with my daughter!”

“Dad, please!” You begged, eyes filling with tears. You watched as your mother placed a hand on your fathers arm, watched as he softened slightly.

“You are not to see this boy again, Y/N.” Your father said, voice stern and emotionless and you couldn’t stop the tears from flowing over your eyes.

“No!” You yelled but he ignored you, turning to Loki.

“This is your only warning. You should be so goddamn grateful I’m not telling Odin. You stay away from Y/N. I see you here again and you won’t like what happens.” He warned before gesturing for the guards to show him out.

“No!” You yelled again, sinking down to sit on the stairs as the tears continued to fall, “Loki please don’t go, please.” You begged.

Loki turned to look at you, his own eyes wide with tears, though he didn’t let them fall. He looked at you sadly, one last time before the doors were closing, leaving him with the memory of your heartbreaking sobs.

-

Two weeks passed with no word from Loki, clearly he had taken your father’s threat seriously. You knew he and Odin didn’t get along and you hated to think what Odin would do if he found out Loki was seeing his enemies daughter.

You had refused to speak to your father at all since that night, forgoing all public appearance and royal duties. Your mother had made an excuse for you to the public but you didn’t care. Odin and your father had let their petty feud go on for far too long, you didn’t even know why they were fighting anymore.

You did know that nobody had ever made you feel the way Loki had and now because two grown men couldn’t look past there differences you knew you’d never feel that way again.

-

You finally left your room and made your way down to the gardens. There was a spot that no guards bothered to check, your mother’s gardens. She hadn’t had much time to tend to it since she had become Queen and her duties became more hectic than before and so you had taken over maintaining them.

You had shown Loki and he had smiled, happily listening and watching you talk about the gardens for hours. The two of you laying in the grass, looking up at the stars, dreaming of a life much simpler than this one. You’d close your eyes and pretend you were regular people, no pressures, no royal duties, no feuding families.

As you sat on the bench you sighed to yourself, of course you should have known that that was just a fairytale.

You might have been a princess but that didn’t mean you were entitled to a happy ending.

-

You sat in the garden for hours, watching the sky turn from blue to orange. The sun set had always had a soothing effect on you. It obviously didn’t make anything better but sitting there, looking out at the beauty of nature surrounded by memories of Loki, well it was easier to breathe.

“Loki, save me from this life. The royalty, the promise of a crown, I’d give all that up for even a moment more with you. I’ve been feeling so alone, all my life, I hadn’t realised how lonely I was until I met you.” You said to yourself, you had no idea why you had begun talking but suddenly you couldn’t stop. “I keep waiting for you to come, to hear the sound of you throwing pebbles at my window but you never do. Was it all in my head? I don’t know what to think anymore.”

“Y/N,” a voice said and you jolted, quickly standing up. You met Loki’s gaze and he smiled at you, his eyes watery as he stepped closer.

He looked beautiful despite the tiredness that showed on his face. He was wearing an all black suit, his hair falling perfectly into place. He was enchanting.

Before you had a chance to talk, he was kneeling down on one knee and pulling a box from his pocket. You gasped and looked at him in shock.

“I’m here, I’m here to save you from a life of duties and rules. I’m here to explore the world with you, to take you places you’ve only dreamed about, I’m here to listen to you wax poetry about the sky and your flowers and I’m here to hold you, care for you, love you. Because you, Y/N Stark are my best friend. I once believed that love would be burning red, messy, hurtful and doomed, but you, you Y/N, showed me that it’s golden, like daylight. I want every moment of my life to be shared with you, my darling. I talked to your dad, he gave his blessing. Would you do me the absolute honour of being my wife?” He said, tears clear in his eyes as he spoke.

You froze for a moment, looking from the ring to him, taking in his words before a huge grin broke out on your face.

Loki breathed out a sigh of relief, knowing that was without a doubt the longest few seconds of his life.

“Yes.”

That one, three letter, word was all the permission he needed to stand up and pull you into a breathtaking kiss. The two of you kissed until you needed air and when you pulled away Loki rested his forehead on yours, looking at you like you were the only person in the world.

“I love you, my darling.” He said softly before pulling you into another kiss.

“I love you too.” You breathed against his lips.

Prompts -  I didn’t see Doctor Who on your who you write for but I thought I’d ask if you could do one where the Doctor sees reader in different places/times and confronts her and it leads to them travelling together. Hinted romance if you could. No problem if you won’t write for DW, thanks!

“Right then,” The Doctor exclaimed aloud to himself as he made his way back to the TARDIS, “Where to next?” He slowed his pace as he passed a library, seeing a familiar figure huddled over a book and laptop through the window.

You. It was always you. No matter where he went, whether it was 1775 or 200129, you were always there. You were always confused, always had that same crease between the eyebrows and same head tilt as you stared at him like he was mad.

“Who are you?” He whispered to himself as he made his way towards you. A reading from the screw driver showed you were just plain human. There was nothing special about you, no time jumping device that he could see either. You were a mystery and oh how The Doctor loved a mystery.

“Hello there.” The Doctor smiled as he sat himself down in the seat across from you. You looked up at him in confusion, there was that head tilt and eyebrow crease he knew so well.

“Hi?” You greeted, though it came out like a question as you looked up from your book.

“Do you recognise me?” The Doctor asked as he suddenly sat up straight and leaned his body across the table so he was staring into your eyes. You looked around before settling your gaze back on him.

“I’m sorry, should I?” You shot back, confused and slightly annoyed with the man who had interrupted your studying.

“Perhaps you should. Who sent you, huh?” Your eyes were wide as he pulled out a device and zapped it in your face.

“What the- my teacher sent me so I could finish my assignment. What is that?” You gasped, knocking the screwdriver away.

“Nothing, always the same. You’re just a bloody human.” He murmured to himself.

“Of course, I’m human!” You exclaimed as quietly as you could, still aware of the fact you were in the library.

“You can’t be! I saw you in France 1629, then again in Monmouth 1778, then again on an entirely different planet fifteen light years away from this time!” He ranted, slumping back in his chair once more with a defeated look, looking like a child who was close to throwing a tantrum. “You shouldn’t be possible.”

“1629, 1778, another planet? Those are things that shouldn’t be possible.” You told him, causing his head to snap up and a grin to form on his face.

This hadn’t happened before, you always just dismissed him, never picked up on the fact that he claimed to have visited those places at those times. Interesting.

“Oh, it’s plenty possible.” He told you, “But don’t you think I’m mad for trying to claim not only you were there but me too?”

“Oh, I think you’re absolutely bonkers. There’s no way you’re telling the truth.” You claimed, arching an eyebrow at him.

“But I am. I’m The Doctor.” He introduced himself and you felt your head explode with the information, flashes of different men, tall, short, old, young, all with questionable fashion. You gripped your head as The Doctor reached across to you.

“Are you alright?” He asked warily once you’d recovered.

“I-I I do-don’t,” You stuttered before taking a shaky breath, “I don’t know what just happened.” You confessed.

“What did you see?” He asked, more of a demand.

You quickly explained to him what you had saw and watched as his eyes widened. He thought over every possibility but none were right, none explained who you were or how you knew of his other lives. He wanted nothing more than to get you into the TARDIS to see if she could figure out something.

“Listen, I’m a time traveller from Gallifrey, an old and long-gone planet. I have two hearts and I swear on both of them you’ll be ok but you need to come with me because something isn’t right and we need to figure it out.” He told you, barely pausing for breath.

It took quite a bit of convincing for you to follow The Doctor. The two of you walked side by side down brightly lit roads. The air was cool which you appreciated as you’d been stuck in the library for hours desperately trying to finish your paper. A part of you was questioning every decision you had ever made, you knew going off with strangers, especially without telling anybody beforehand, was dangerous but a bigger part of you felt safe, like you knew this man and he would protect you.

It wasn’t long before The Doctor, who called themselves that anyway, was leading you down an alleyway and stopped in front of a blue police box that had you raising an eyebrow.

“You led me all this way for a box?” You asked.

“Trust me.” He grinned at knocked on it causing the door to swing open and a stream of light to flow out.

You looked at him warily but he just tilted his head, gesturing for you to enter.

“Oh my god.” You whispered as you spun around in a circle.

“Go on, say it, I love it when they say it.” The Doctor beamed.

“It’s, It’s bigger on the inside.” You and The Doctor said at the same time causing you to laugh slightly manically. He stepped out of your way as you exited the box only to circle it and re-enter.

“That- this is not possible.” You told him as you ran your fingers along the console causing him to step forward and flick switches you had pressed.

“Everything’s possible.” He told you with a grin. “Now, this is the TARDIS and she’s mine, technically I’m borrowing her but semantics.” He shrugged before continuing, “Now, she can do a scan, completely non-invasive, and we can figure out just what you are.” He told you as he started pressing buttons and pulling levers.

“I thought I was just plain human.” You asked with a hint of amusement.

“Ah, well, perhaps you are but there could be something more to you and I just can’t help myself. I love a mystery.”

You and The Doctor spoke for hours as the TARDIS scanned you and then took a long time to give an alert. The two of you were sat next to each other as The Doctor told you of his adventures.

“So, you can travel anywhere in time and space, right?” You asked.

“Right.”

“So, why not stop the bad stuff from happening, like wars and stuff, surely you can just fly your box there and make everything better.”

“Well, it doesn’t actually work like that. Time and space, somethings are so fixed that no matter what you do they have to happen. Sometimes you know something is going to happen and you try to fix it but your actions are what causes something. Trust me, it’s a blessing and a curse to be able to travel like this.” He explained, suddenly looking like he had the weight of several planets on his shoulders.

“I’d love to travel. There’s so many incredible things that are just out there waiting to be explored.” You told him with a faraway look that caused him to smile softly at you.

“Why not do it then? Go exploring?” He asked, eyes wide as he did.

“That’s not the way things are,” you began with a heavy sigh, “Here you’re expected to finish up your education, start working a 9-5 job that makes you miserable and squeeze out some kids with your partner who you hate.”

“You could always run away with me. You know, one of the best things about having a time machine is I can take you anywhere you want, anytime you want, and have you home five minutes later.” The Doctor told you causing you to look at him in excitement.

“Really!?” You exclaimed, “but you just met me. Why would you want me to travel with you?” You asked him.

“There’s something about you, Y/N. I like you.”

You laughed as The Doctor grabbed your hand and pulled you along with him, the two of you running as fast as you could. You’d begged The Doctor to bring you to see Shakespeare and whilst it was beautiful, though the smell was something that could be better, it had ended with The Doctor narrowly escaping getting punched in the face and the two of you fleeing to the TARDIS, panting as you leaned against the doors.

“That was close.” He laughed as he watched you giggle through deep breaths.

Neither of you had found out why The Doctor had seen you several times. A scan from the TARDIS all those months ago showed that you were in fact just a regular human but The Doctor chose to focus on you, here and now, not on whatever happened. Without it he never would have gone up to you in the library that day, he would have been left alone despite Amy’s wishes.

You truly were a blessing to him.

“Where to next, Y/N?” He asked causing you to grin at him.

“Surprise me.” You told him with a soft smile.

You were a mystery to him in more ways than one.

Prompts -  ‘First second I saw you I couldn’t get over how beautiful you were.’

When you agreed to go out with the girls you thought it would be fun, you really did, but from the moment the first shot was downed the questions started.

“When are you and Jake going to get it on?”

“Seriously, call him. Now.”

“You like him, he likes you. Come on, Y/N.”

As much as you loved Amy, Rosa and Gina, you couldn’t take the constant hounding and ending up leaving early.

The three of them had known they had taken it too far this time but still stood by their actions, it was a nightmare seeing you and Jake pine for each other when you were both so obviously into each other.

It’s not that you denied your feelings for Jake either, you told them months ago but hoped they’d just forget about it and not make a big deal but apparently that was too much to ask. You and Jake worked together, worked well together, and you didn’t want to do anything to jeopardise that work relationship you two had. You were in sync with each other, able to communicate without talking make it easy to come up with fast, last minute change of plans and resulted in a win for the nine-nine.

Besides it’s not like he liked you back, no matter what Amy, Rosa and Gina said.

“Good morning squad. Tonight is the stake out for the Fisk drug bust. Boyle and Santiago you’ll be in the surveillance van, Diaz and Jeffords you’ll take the abandoned rooms and Y/L/N and Peralta you’ll take the roof. We’ll have a team ready to move on the command. Any problems?” Captain Holt asked during the briefing and you all murmured a no before heading back to work.

You took a seat at your desk and didn’t notice Amy until she cleared her throat.

“Hey Amy.” You greeted with a slightly forced smile. You weren’t mad at her over brining up your crush on Jake but it did grate on you.

“Hi. Listen, I just want to say we’re sorry. We just want you to be happy and think Jake will do that.” Amy told you as she took a seat next to your desk.

“I get it, Aimes, I really do but I just hate hearing about it constantly. Especially when I know he doesn’t feel the same way. We’re just friends” You said with a frown, picking up your pen and tapping it on the desk.

“You’re kidding? You seriously think he doesn’t like you? I thought you just didn’t want to risk anything affecting work but you don’t think he likes you? Y/N, You’re kidding! He looks at you like you’re his entire world.” Amy told you, sincerity so clear in her tone that it made you pause for a second before shaking your head.

“No, he doesn’t. You’re just reading too much into this because you want it to work out.” You said, trying to convince yourself rather than Amy.

“No,Y/N, I’m not. Ask anyone.” She said as she stood up, “Ask Hitchcock and Scully, even they see it.”

You managed to shake away what Amy had said to you, not very well admittedly, and get some work done. You managed to file three cases before you were interrupted again.

“Everything ok?” Jake asked causing you to look away from your work and at him. He was lounging in the chair next to your desk with his legs spread out in front of him.

“Yeah, why?” You asked with a smile.

“Saw you talking to Santiago earlier, you were tapping your pen which meant you were troubled. I tried to come save you but well Charles....” He told you, trailing off with a laugh.

“So no more,” You giggled. “But seriously I’m fine. Amy was attempting to girl talk and it was as good as you’d imagine.” You told him causing him to laugh again.

“So, you ready for tonight? I already have so many snack, it’s gonna be great.” He grinned at you making your heart fluttered.

“You do realise this is a stake out to arrest one of the deadliest drug rings, right?” You asked with a raised brow and a smirk.

“Sure, sure but who says we can’t have a good time?” He questioned, smiling brighter as he made you smile.

“Holt probably would but I can’t wait.” You told him causing him to cheer.

“See you tonight, Y/L/N/.” He smiled as he stood up and headed to his own desk to grab his jacket. “Want me to pick you up?”

“That’d be great, thanks.” God, Jake made you feel like you were a damn teenager all over again.

“No problem.” He waved to you and shouted a quick goodbye to the rest of the group before leaving the precinct.

You watched the close elevator doors, missing the way Gina and Rosa smirked at you.

-

-

-

“So many stairs.” Jake groaned and you copied the noise, panting as you leaned against the closed door.

“So many stairs.” You moaned back, seriously would it kill people to fix the elevators.

Once the two of you had caught your breath you made your way over to the walls ledge, pulling out walkie talkies, binoculars and Jake pulled out an impressive amount of snacks.

“Oh hey, you got my favourites.” You grinned as you snatched up the packet.

“Of course I did, I know how to treat a girl right.” Jake grinned before pausing and looking sheepish. You smiled at him shyly.

“Yeah you do.” You said softly, so softly he almost didn’t hear you.

It was no secret to anyone who knew Jake that he liked you. Actually the only person who didn’t know was you yourself. Everytime he tried to tell you he chickened out, like the time he invented you to his apartment and spent the night watching terribly cheesy movies and talking til you were cry laughing, or the time when he took you to dinner in that new fancy restaurant you wanted to go to and the two of you played dress up for the night in your fancy outfits. There were so many occasions were he wanted to tell you but he just couldn’t, it was like the words actually got lost in his throat and every night after he would go home hating himself for not confessing because if he had you could’ve been his.

“Everyone in positions?” Terry’s voice broke the silence. You both reached for the walkie talkie, blushing as you your hands touched.

“Sorry.” You both said at the same time, laughing, as Jake handed the walkie talkie to you.

“Yes Sarge.” You confirmed as did everyone else.

“Good, no sign yet. This could be a long night, squad.” Terry told you all. There were a chorus of groans but you couldn’t think of anywhere you’d rather be.

Two hours passed and the sun had long set, it was cold and there was no sign of Fisk.

Jake had been doing his best to keep both your spirits high though and the two of you were laughing at a story he had told.

You looked at Jake in confusion when he went silent suddenly, staring at you with wide eyes and a soft smile. A look you hadn’t seen on him before.

“Everything-” Before you could even finishing your question, Jake cut you off.

“God, you’re so beautiful.” He blurted out, surprise on both of your faces. “Sorry, I just mean-” Here he trailed off before shaking his head. “No, I do mean that. Y/N, you’re so beautiful. First second I saw you I couldn’t get over how beautiful you were and I’ve liked you for so long. I get if you don’t feel the same way but-” Jake didn’t get the chance to finish his sentence because you leaned across and closed the distance between the two of you.

The kiss was so much better than you had dreamed. Your lips slotted together perfectly, Jake’s hand cupping you cheek as yours played with his hair. The softness and slowness of it was perfect and you couldn’t help but smile which broke them kiss but that was okay because Jake was smiling back just as brightly.

“I’ve wanted to do that for so long.” Jake whispered as he leaned in for another quick but slow kiss.

“Me too.” You murmured, smiling softly.

“So does this mean…” Jake trailed off hopefully.

“Yeah, I think it does.” You agreed with a grin, laughing as Jake whooped.

The two of you sat next to each other, Jake’s arm coming to wrap around you when he saw you shivering from the cold.

“Hey, I know we’re in the middle of a case but I know a pretty romantic way to warm you up.” Jake grinned all of a sudden, not giving you chance to process what he had said before he was jumping up and pulling you with him.

“What’re you doing?” You asked, cursing him for moving away as you shivered some more, why couldn’t drug deals go down in nice, warm areas with  heater.

You watched as he fiddled with his phone before you heard slow music coming from the speaker, grinning and rolling your eyes as you heard ‘Only You’ play.

“Do all guys think this song will make girls fall for them?” You laughed as did he.

“Baelfire said it worked.” He shrugged and then looked at you with a questioning look. “That was a-”

“Once Upon a Time reference, I know.” You grinned causing him to laugh louder.

“God, you’re so cool.” He said before clearing his throat and holding his hand out for you, “Can I have this dance?” He asked with a shy smile.

“I’d be honoured.” You giggled before taking his hand and the two of you were soon laughing over stepped toes as Jake guided you through the moves.

The two of you looked at each other, your feelings clear in your eyes, and wondered why you hadn’t confessed your feelings earlier.

“There’s no where else I’d rather be.” Jake told you quietly, not wanting to break the peaceful, romantic atmosphere that had settled on the roof.

“Me neither.” You agreed, enjoy the soft kiss that followed.

Really, why hadn’t you done this earlier?
