Genuinely one of the best Destiel edits I've ever watched (and I've watched a lot) and it is definitely the most underrated one. It has a lot of early season stuff and early Castiel being terrifying and ominous which I think is fucking great. It's very dean-focused and there's a lot of talking which is expertly cut together. I just think it's a really great edit and wanted to share. so yeah, check it out!

Last Weeks

Every day I find a new clue that gets me closer and closer to proving my theory that I cannot in fact read.

@giurochedadomani really got me thinking about Shanks and his abandonment issues.

I think he has the terrible habit of repressing angry/hurt feelings that he has about his loved ones. Not quite toxic positivity but more like a man trying to always stay on good terms and good memories with loved ones.

It’s him not acknowledging the fact that Roger, Rayleigh his surrogate fathers and the Roger pirates his family essentially abandoned him when he needed them the most especially when from the flashback with buggy we can see that it so obviously hurt him enough to close off a part of himself causing Buggy to leave too.

All this to say it takes a lot for Shanks to get visibly angry at his loved ones and he has insane abandonment issues and guess who he decides to try and keep in his life? That right Mr I physically can’t stand to stay in one place for too long and my moods change like the grand line winds.

I do think Shanks genuinely what’s his relationship with Mihawk to be easy and he tends to do a lot to make it so and I do think it works half the time but Mihawk as much as I love him is tedious, he’s selfish, kind of childish, insanely single minded and incompetent with any emotion that isn’t a light boredom. and shanks for the most part does love all that about him and Shanks' peace loving people pleasing tendencies does mean they barely genuinely fight but when they do their emotional issues are so conflicting that its just a mess with a body count and a thousand mile radius.

I do love the way Toji, a man who’s been dead since the beginning, haunts the narrative.

Like he was a man doing his best to survive in a world that didn’t want him, everything he touched turned to poison. He had ruthlessness down to an art form, everyone’s life is worse off for having known him.

He is the holy grail, he haunts every single person he has ever met, he’s the reason for all of this, this has nothing to do with him. he will come back again and again and again the narrative isn’t through with him.

You get the themes the poem is right there. Michael was the first being ever made by an imperfect god. He in himself is practically a big bang how do you begin to explain that to someone? Let alone the one other person you’re stuck in a lifetime of isolation with?

This is their inherited will, this is the string that ties them together across generations. bound by shared love and ideology, it’s as real as the hat that sits on all their heads.

Shanks. Roger and Luffy lifetimes apart but under the same sky, smiling out at the same ocean, in search of the next adventure. Free as can be.

The love of a ship, the freedom of the ocean, the world as an enemy . Something tells me Jack, sorry Captain Jack, and Luffy would have been really good friends.
