This is the Cartoon Network Slate for the 2020s it is practically the 2010s.
And as much as I love these cartoons and they made my childhood but they already exist. And I'm not even talking from all remakes or pick ups are bad standpoint but it is objectively terrible that not a single completely new IP was announced. And it's not just cartoon network look at the recent D23 only one completely new story that isn't a live-action or sequel.
New stories, especially animated stories, aren't getting the chance to be told anymore and that's really fucking sad
I fucking love gumball but I am tired of being milked for my nostalgia

You know what I think is really fucked up is that this Ben obviously misses his siblings, his academy, soooo much and the narrative just..... doesn't care.
Whatever their problems were they were his siblings, his family and he watched them all die terrible tragic deaths before they ever got a chance to escape the clutches of their abusive father. And now he's stuck with this group who is insistent on seeing him as an asshole version of their ben that they and the narrative kinda act like his family never existed and that is so fucked up and such a missed opportunity.
Look controversial take I don't know.
But hang with me here;
Aidan Gallagher (Five from Umbrella Academy) would fucking kill as Tim Drake but only a Tim Drake in a movie with atleast 3-5 other members of the Batfamily outside Batman.

I will give them that nothing could have actually prepared me for the fact that it was Hargreeves that killed Ben. I was prepared for the whole touching the girl is what inadvertently kills her but she didn't mean it. But Reginald killing Ben and then wiping their memories is just another extra little layer to the tragedy of it all. That works so well.
The fact that this Reginald is long gone and only a replicant of him who doesn't know them doesn't know their history is left to answer for his crimes is just so god. How do we give these kids closure?
