Darania Aquabulla

Darania Aquabulla

Darania Aquabulla

I ran out of time today so info and finished pic will be tomorrow hopefully. For now, enjoy this sketch. The Aquabullas are some of my favorites. I was a little worried starting out with them since the first tends to be my weakest, but I wasn't disappointed by my progress on it. Stay tuned for more flowers.

Celesta Starpetalia

Celesta Starpetalias are only seen at night, particularly on dry nights in the spring, summer and early fall. During the day they gather sunlight, hidden away in their host clouds. At night they shine brightly, lighting the way for powercloud drivers at night.

Hariana Tuftoa
Hariana Tuftoa
Hariana Tuftoa

Hariana Tuftoa

A species of Hariana found in Furheart Iiah. They are much softer than their Fulinean counterparts, who have stiffer, more petal-like bristles than their Furheartian counterparts. Because of this difference in texture, it is sometimes argued that they are in fact not a Hariana at all, but much more closely related to something like the Gloagli Lavilav, with its thin, curled stems and hanging flowers. It has thus been proposed to be renamed the Furheartian Tuftoa, but as it also has many differences from other Tuftoas growing in Furheart Iiah as well, even its second name has also been thrown into question. So it is still up for debate whether it should be classified under the Harianan or Tuftoan family, or even one closer to the Gloagli Lavilav due to their similarities.

Nomenclature aside, Hariana Tuftoa 'fur' is quite popular with Fashion Buddys, especially those who travel and need warmer coverings against the sailing winds.

The Autograph Part 2-7

To wrap up we have the rest of the sketches for the little comic for @chrystallink, featuring her chars Clysmia, Blake, Cider, and Fahrenheit. Hailey and Dia's persona are also featured in line on the third (second here) page, and the latter a little bit on page 6 (image 5), but they're hard to see. And of course, my joke char Bob the Faceless Gaunto. XD

17, 20, 29 for oc qs

😳 I did not expect such a speedy response to this. Okay here goes!

17. Favorite character: he's spoiler 3X but his non-spoiler version is Korosa. c:

20. Eriol's pet Shiro.

17, 20, 29 For Oc Qs

Shiro is a cattish doggish creature that I've thought of making kind of vine-themed to better fit into Eriol's planet. His species is also plant-themed so yeah. Shiro used to be a Kitonya back when JI and Aliens were the same universe, but now that they're two different ones, I want to try and find a design that better fits the vibe.

Quick pic for those who don't know who Eriol is:

17, 20, 29 For Oc Qs

He's a little guy, about 3 and a half feet I think, with light green skin that's sort of silky but also tough and plant-like. His face and hands (?) are more of a palish yellow with a softer skin texture, and his feet are sort of tree root-like. He has a sort of bark shard stump on his head and brown hair and dark, beady eyes. At one point he had hooves for feet instead but I decided tree root-like fit better thematically. He also used to have dot hands but I decided thin, root-like hands would fit him better.

Anyways XD back on topic here.

29. Yes! Aliens main story has a sort of Wonderful Life/deaths reversal AU where many of the characters who died before the story live but their counterpart dies in their stead, a la Sz'nami had died instead of Tsunne, Tsuname is killed shortly before the AU starts, Korosa doesn't exist or died a stillborn (or possibly died in the invasion when he was young?) but his brother wasn't killed shortly before the canon starts, Naru and Shiido are a lot more maimed than they are in canon and the villain succeeded even more in militarizing Naru's race. I can't give away too much more, but I haven't really touched the idea in a long time due to being unsure how to sort of link it up as an alternative canon thread. But, I guess that's why it's AU! I actually made a short comic about that AU as well as some art for it, but since it involves some pretty heavy spoilers I'm not too comfortable sharing most of it here. But! It does exist! Even if I haven't developed it in years it's there. Here’s some of the art I can show though of non-spoilers. Touched these up, the originals were from like 2013, haha. Some scribbles of messed up NaS/ideas for their alt designs. There’s probably still a lot more to consider for the story and how it would bear on their personalities, but I guess that’s the trouble drawing over old stuff.

Elemin Dariana on Young Pura Pathvine

A creeping, flowering vine that can be found sparsely throughout JI. Though it has a preference for dry weather, it is a tenacious vine that can thrive in just about anything. That said, grass tends to out-compete it, so it's rarely found in the wild, much less without support. It is thought to have originated on a northern Fuline Ah island or perhaps a south Reline Ah one, but it is best known for its presence on the Reline Ah continent as a domestic vine. Despite its hardy nature, it takes careful pruning and care to thrive.

The Elemin Dariana is the namesake of one of the first Flower Buddys, Elderflower, and for that reason, Elemin Darias are often called Elderflowers in Reline Ah.

In their early phases, the flower buds have a nutty, almondy flavor. When they bloom, their flavor changes to more of a sweet, faint licorice taste. The stems have a much stronger licorice taste and texture, though since the flower is rather rare, tea and candy made from parts of the plant are rarely served outside of Reline Ah.

A fully mature Pura Pathvine has yet to be discovered. There is even some question as to whether or not they are Pathvines at all or simply a different kind of megaflora, or perhaps even a dwarf species of Pathvine. Still others say that Pura Pathvines are very special, and when fully grown, connect to a dimension that has never before been discovered. Some proponents of the dwarf theory agree that Pura Pathvines have a connection to other dimensions, but instead merely act as gateposts or landmarks, growing near the gate to one, or even acting as the gate itself. Which ever theory is correct, there is still much to be discovered about Pura Pathvines. Known specimens include one in Reline Ah, featured here, and two others, one found between Furheart Iiah, Reline Ah and Batulia Songlianne out at sea, and another between the south coast of Crescent Minoria and Warminia Songlianne. As more specimens are discovered, researchers expect to have a better grasp on the nature of these Pura Pathvines.
