A little EraserMic fluff oneshot

This is a little experimental, I usually always post my stories on wattpad, but a friend of mine suggested I should start posting some oneshots here, so after another friend of mine gave me a great idea for a story, I'm gonna go for it!

So, enjoy ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hizashi's pregnancy with Hitoshi hadn't been too difficult but it wasn't easy either, now that the baby boy had been born, Hizashi and Shouta were settling into life as parents.

The day Hitoshi was born, Hizashi had to stay in the hospital for another day just to make sure there weren't any after birth complications considering this was his first baby.

After he got the okay to go home, he and Shouta anxiously brought their baby boy home.

Hizashi was so happy to be home again, he was absolutely exhausted, after going through hours and hours of labor, then the delivery process, that would take a while for him to recover.

Shouta settled into parenthood naturally, it was almost as if he had been a father all his life.

In a way, he had, due to the fact he's been a teacher for several years, Hizashi also settled into parenthood fairly easily, he was still a bit nervous and there were things he'd have to adjust to.

Hizashi fell in love with his son from the moment he laid eyes on him, from his whispy purple hair, to his eyes that were the same color as Shouta's.

Shouta heavily insisted on Hizashi resting as much as possible, but Hizashi was stubborn and didn't want to stay in bed all the time despite just how tired he was.

They settled on a compromise, Shouta would do the heavier and more tiring tasks around the house and Hizashi would do the lighter work and they would take turns looking after the baby.

The day after they brought Hitoshi home, Hizashi woke up to the sound of his newborn son crying, as if on autopilot, he got up, put on his fuzzy yellow bathrobe and slippers and walked over to the bassinet they set up in their bedroom.

He smiled down at the baby boy and scooped him into his arms.

"Hey, buddy. It's okay, I got you" he said softly, cradling Hitoshi close to his chest.

Hitoshi's crying softened almost immediately after being picked up and held, being replaced by soft gurgling.

Hizashi carried Hitoshi over to his rocking chair and sat down, slowly rocking Hitoshi in his arms.

He unbuttoned his shirt and settled Hitoshi close against his chest, watching as the baby boy latched on and began to suckle.

Breastfeeding had definitely been something Hizashi was still getting used to, but he absolutely loved watching Hitoshi cuddle close to his chest while he ate, his tiny fist gripping onto his pajama shirt.

He hadn't noticed Shouta walking into the bedroom, carrying two mugs of coffee and bringing one to him, setting it down on the small table next to the rocking chair until he felt Shouta's five o'clock shadow rubbing against his forehead.

He giggled softly and glanced up at his husband, looking at him with a soft, loving smile on his face.

"Hey" he greeted, leaning over slightly to peck Shouta's lips, his moustache tickling the underside of Shouta's nose.

Shouta chuckled. "Hey, I thought you might like some coffee"

"Thanks. Decaf, right?" Hizashi reached over for his Tweety bird coffee cup while his left arm kept Hitoshi cradled to his chest.

"Yep, mine is too" Shouta sipped his own coffee, looking at Hitoshi, who had already stopped eating and had settled against Hizashi's chest, fussing softly at the movement.

"Could you hand me that burp cloth, Sho?" Hizashi asked, settling Hitoshi against his shoulder.

Shouta nodded and reached over for the cloth and laid it against Hizashi's shoulder.

Hizashi smiled in thanks and gently rubbed Hitoshi's back until he stopped fussing.

Once he was settled down again, Hizashi just held him and continued slowly rocking him in his arms.

Shouta was still smiling lovingly at them both. "You're already a wonderful mother, Hizashi"

Hizashi blushed a bit, glancing up at Shouta, then back down at Hitoshi. "You really think so?"

"Of course. You're handling everything so well. You handled labor like a champ, like I knew you would. You're amazing" Shouta hugged Hizashi's shoulder.

Hizashi leaned his head back against Shouta's arm. "Hmm. You know, if you had told me when I was in high school that I would be happily married to my best friend and have a baby with him, I probably would've laughed"

Shouta chuckled. "I honestly never thought I'd be this happy with anyone. I couldn't imagine not having you in my life. And to know that you married me and gave me a son, it's so hard for me to believe. I love you so much, Hizashi"

Hizashi couldn't help the tears that began developing in his eyes. "Oh, Sho, you're gonna make me cry. I love you too"

He leaned his head back a bit more and lovingly kissed Shouta's lips, receiving an equally as loving kiss in return.

My birthday is next week! ๐Ÿ˜

So, my birthday is coming up next Friday, the 18th.

I really want to write more, but I'm unfortunately still struggling with writer's block and everything. Sometimes I don't even know what to post on here. ๐Ÿ˜…

I really, really want to write something.

So far, I haven't received any story requests.

Please give me some requests for some stories.

I'll write just about anything, just message me and give me a plot, a fandom and a ship and maybe we could brainstorm it too.

I always really want more people to read my stories and just notice me as a writer, that would be amazing.

If anyone could also help me out with my writers block, that would be great too.

Ship and let ship

Ship and let ship, that's what I always say. Let people enjoy what they like, ship what they want and just enjoy it for the fun of it, as long as you're not hurting anyone, it shouldn't be anyone else's business but your own.

I don't understand why some people feel the need to harass others over what they like.

I never understood the need for ship wars and arguments over stuff like that, saying this is better or that's better and blah blah blah.

As a multishipper, I have several different ships in several different fandoms, I don't ship just one particular thing and I don't believe "my ship" is better than anyone else's.

Now, I know there are things people like that I personally don't agree with, do I go and tell them that they shouldn't enjoy it? Absolutely not.

Unless you support abusive, toxic, underaged or incestuous ships, I see no problem, but if you do, I still wouldn't voice my opinion, I would just politely say I feel uncomfortable with this particular ship and try to avoid causing any arguments about it.

And me, for example, I probably have a ship or two that people don't agree with, if you don't like it, just kindly ignore me and don't argue with me over what I like.

Same thing with my favorite genres, I like mpreg and omegaverse, a lot of people turn that into a fetish thing, which makes me extremely uncomfortable because that's not why I like it.

That's not what it is for me, I like it because it's cute, I like the idea of taking my favorite pairings and giving them a family, nothing sexual or anything about it.

That's how people feel about ships, certain ships can be seen as a fetish or something, for some that might be the case, but for others, they just enjoy it for the cuteness factor.

So, don't judge others for what they like, allow them to explain their point of view before you start voicing your opinion.

Or, better yet, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

Life update

I went to the doctor on Tuesday, I don't have the flu or anything like that, but I have a cold, and if I'm being honest, I feel like complete and utter crap. Sneezing my brains out, chills, fever, cough, sore throat, the like, and my birthday is coming up soon. I'm hoping to be fully recovered before the 18th. It's a virus, so I have to let it take its course. Which means I'll probably be spending most of my time sleeping.

Small personal life update

I think I might be trying to come down with something. I'm not really sure. I've been coughing and having an on and off sore throat, and a fever on and off too. I have a doctors appointment on Tuesday, so hopefully I'll figure out what's going on.

Writing makes me happy.

Writing makes me happy, there's nothing in this world that I love more than getting lost in my writing, just forgetting the passage of time and allowing myself to dive into a world that I created.

Sometimes if I can't sleep, I'll scroll through my wattpad and read over my past stories or if I have sudden inspiration, I'll add to a work in progress.

A few months ago, I was going through a bit of depression because of a breakup and my friends and family all told me to do things that made me happy and helped me relax.

Reading a great book makes me very happy, but writing is my passion, it's been my biggest passion since I was in the 3rd grade.

But I've been feeling that my writing isn't as passionate as it was when I first started.

I doubt myself and my writing abilities, sometimes I wonder if people still enjoy my writing.

That's been the root of my problems regarding my writing for the past few years.

Ever since I started gaining a lot of attention on wattpad, I started overthinking things, struggling to come up with a story people will enjoy and I feel like I've lost my passion for writing.

I've been trying to regain my passion for my writing by writing things I've been thinking about writing.

A few friends of mine suggested I started posting on here to attract more readers to my wattpad, I'm also hoping that some fresh ideas will help me with my writers block.

Give me some ideas!

Hey lovelies, ladybug here! Let's talk about writing prompts and ideas for what you want me to write about.

As you probably already know, I've been struggling with writers block, I struggle on what to post on here too.

I need inspiration and ideas for what to write. I was hoping people could help me out.

I haven't been getting much traction on here, unfortunately. But I'm willing to be patient and wait it out.

I posted a poll when I first started my blog and it ends tomorrow, once the results are in, I'll make a post asking what I should write for whatever fandom from my poll won.

I still have a lot of works in progress and more updates on the way, so stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, please give me some ideas for what you want me to write about.

I'm dying for some inspiration, anything really.

My door is always open, just message me if you have a request.

Let's talk about writers block

Hello lovelies, I thought I'd get on a topic I've really been struggling with and that is writers block. For any fanfiction writer or any writer in general, you know exactly what I'm talking about and it's extremely frustrating. Not only is it frustrating, it's draining, physically and mentally. I've been struggling on and off with writers block since 2020, it's been extremely hard for me to write, sometimes I can't even write at all. I've had my up's and down's with it. One minute I have an idea and if I blink, it's gone, other times I don't have ideas at all and I'm just staring at a blank screen mentally pulling my hair out because I want to write so bad it hurts, but I can't think of anything to write. It's like there's a brick wall blocking any type of ideas. I've tried just about every method to get past writers block. I unfortunately can't give any advice because I'm still struggling with writers block. The only advice I can give that's genuinely helped me is to brainstorm your ideas with a friend. It really helps get the creative juices flowing. If you can find a way to help get your ideas flowing, it really helps. Of course, different methods work better for others. I just haven't found anything that helps me yet, aside from brainstorming my ideas with a friend, or typing the idea as it flows. That's what I usually do, anytime I get an idea, I write it down and let my thumbs do the work to bring it together. But that doesn't always work. What works flawlessly for me is going back to writing on paper, because that's how I started. I found I could write endlessly on paper, but again, that might not work for everyone, especially if you don't have an endless supply of notebook paper or a notebook in general. If you can't write on paper, find something that works just as well.

Exclusive fanfic sneak peek!

Hello my lovelies! Here's an exclusive sneak peek into an upcoming oneshot! Hope you enjoy โ˜บ

Let me know what you think of it. It's currently a work in progress.

This is part 1 of my Hetalia mpreg oneshots.

Feliciano and Ludwig have been very happily married for the past few years now, Feliciano had always wanted kids and felt that having a baby with the man he loved would be wonderful.

One morning, Feliciano was humming to himself while he made breakfast for him and Ludwig, Ludwig was sitting at the table drinking coffee and reading the morning newspaper.

Feliciano snuck up behind Ludwig and hugged his shoulders. "Ve! Good morning, amore mio!" he chirped happily.

Ludwig couldn't help but chuckle softly at the greeting. "Good morning to you too, Feliciano" he leaned back and pecked Feliciano's lips, causing the Italian to giggle.

After being married for nearly five years, Ludwig had gotten used to Feliciano sneaking up behind him, it didn't startle him much anymore.

Feliciano nuzzled his cheek against Ludwig's. "Luddy, I've been thinking"

"Hmm?" Ludwig hummed, keeping his eyes fixed on his paper.

"Would you like to have a baby?" At Feliciano's question, the coffee Ludwig had been sipping flew from his mouth and soaked his newspaper.

He coughed and sputtered for a few seconds until he managed to catch his breath.

"Feliciano..." he croaked, crumpling his wet and unreadable newspaper up to throw away. "What kind of a question is that?"

Feliciano frowned a bit and walked back to the stove and plated the scrambled eggs he had been making for Ludwig.

He shrugged. "I dunno, Luddy. I just thought having a family with you would be nice, no? I've always wanted children of my own"

Ludwig sighed softly, he stood up, threw the newspaper away and came up behind Feliciano, he wrapped his arms around his waist and tugged him against his chest.

"Oh, Feli. Don't be upset. It's not that I haven't ever thought about having a baby with you. Your question just caught me off guard"

Feliciano turned around in Ludwig's arms and burried his face against Ludwig's chest, he looked up at his husband with sparkling honey eyes. "Ve. Really? So, that means you want to have a family with me?" he asked, a bright, hopeful smile spreading across his face.

Ludwig smiled sweetly at him and ran his fingers through his soft, auburn hair.

"Of course I want to raise a family with the man I love. As I said before, your question caught me a bit off guard"

Feliciano grinned and wrapped his arms around Ludwig's neck. "Ve! That makes me so happy!"

How I learned to write smarter, not harder

(aka, how to write when you're hella ADHD lol)

A reader commented on my current long fic asking how I write so well. I replied with an essay of my honestly pretty non-standard writing advice (that they probably didn't actually want lol) Now I'm gonna share it with you guys and hopefully there's a few of you out there who will benefit from my past mistakes and find some useful advice in here. XD Since I started doing this stuff, which are all pretty easy changes to absorb into your process if you want to try them, I now almost never get writer's block.

The text of the original reply is indented, and I've added some additional commentary to expand upon and clarify some of the concepts.

As for writing well, I usually attribute it to the fact that I spent roughly four years in my late teens/early 20s writing text roleplay with a friend for hours every single day. Aside from the constant practice that provided, having a live audience immediately reacting to everything I wrote made me think a lot about how to make as many sentences as possible have maximum impact so that I could get that kind of fun reaction. (Which is another reason why comments like yours are so valuable to fanfic writers! <3) The other factors that have improved my writing are thus: 1. Writing nonlinearly. I used to write a whole story in order, from the first sentence onward. If there was a part I was excited to write, I slogged through everything to get there, thinking that it would be my reward once I finished everything that led up to that. It never worked. XD It was miserable. By the time I got to the part I wanted to write, I had beaten the scene to death in my head imagining all the ways I could write it, and it a) no longer interested me and b) could not live up to my expectations because I couldn't remember all my ideas I'd had for writing it. The scene came out mediocre and so did everything leading up to it. Since then, I learned through working on VN writing (I co-own a game studio and we have some visual novels that I write for) that I don't have to write linearly. If I'm inspired to write a scene, I just write it immediately. It usually comes out pretty good even in a first draft! But then I also have it for if I get more ideas for that scene later, and I can just edit them in. The scenes come out MUCH stronger because of this. And you know what else I discovered? Those scenes I slogged through before weren't scenes I had no inspiration for, I just didn't have any inspiration for them in that moment! I can't tell you how many times there was a scene I had no interest in writing, and then a week later I'd get struck by the perfect inspiration for it! Those are scenes I would have done a very mediocre job on, and now they can be some of the most powerful scenes because I gave them time to marinate. Inspiration isn't always linear, so writing doesn't have to be either!

Some people are the type that joyfully write linearly. I have a friend like this--she picks up the characters and just continues playing out the next scene. Her story progresses through the entire day-by-day lives of the characters; it never timeskips more than a few hours. She started writing and posting just eight months ago, she's about an eighth of the way through her planned fic timeline, and the content she has so far posted to AO3 for it is already 450,000 words long. But most of us are normal humans. We're not, for the most part, wired to create linearly. We consume linearly, we experience linearly, so we assume we must also create linearly. But actually, a lot of us really suffer from trying to force ourselves to create this way, and we might not even realize it. If you're the kind of person who thinks you need to carrot-on-a-stick yourself into writing by saving the fun part for when you finally write everything that happens before it: Stop. You're probably not a linear writer. You're making yourself suffer for no reason and your writing is probably suffering for it. At least give nonlinear writing a try before you assume you can't write if you're not baiting or forcing yourself into it!! Remember: Writing is fun. You do this because it's fun, because it's your hobby. If you're miserable 80% of the time you're doing it, you're probably doing it wrong!

2. Rereading my own work. I used to hate reading my own work. I wouldn't even edit it usually. I would write it and slap it online and try not to look at it again. XD Writing nonlinearly forced me to start rereading because I needed to make sure scenes connected together naturally and it also made it easier to get into the headspace of the story to keep writing and fill in the blanks and get new inspiration. Doing this built the editing process into my writing process--I would read a scene to get back in the headspace, dislike what I had written, and just clean it up on the fly. I still never ever sit down to 'edit' my work. I just reread it to prep for writing and it ends up editing itself. Many many scenes in this fic I have read probably a dozen times or more! (And now, I can actually reread my own work for enjoyment!) Another thing I found from doing this that it became easy to see patterns and themes in my work and strengthen them. Foreshadowing became easy. Setting up for jokes or plot points became easy. I didn't have to plan out my story in advance or write an outline, because the scenes themselves because a sort of living outline on their own. (Yes, despite all the foreshadowing and recurring thematic elements and secret hidden meanings sprinkled throughout this story, it actually never had an outline or a plan for any of that. It's all a natural byproduct of writing nonlinearly and rereading.)

Unpopular writing opinion time: You don't need to make a detailed outline.

Some people thrive on having an outline and planning out every detail before they sit down to write. But I know for a lot of us, we don't know how to write an outline or how to use it once we've written it. The idea of making one is daunting, and the advice that it's the only way to write or beat writer's block is demoralizing. So let me explain how I approach "outlining" which isn't really outlining at all.

I write in a Notion table, where every scene is a separate table entry and the scene is written in the page inside that entry. I do this because it makes writing nonlinearly VASTLY more intuitive and straightforward than writing in a single document. (If you're familiar with Notion, this probably makes perfect sense to you. If you're not, imagine something a little like a more contained Google Sheets, but every row has a title cell that opens into a unique Google Doc when you click on it. And it's not as slow and clunky as the Google suite lol) (Edit from the future: I answered an ask with more explanation on how I use Notion for non-linear writing here.) When I sit down to begin a new fic idea, I make a quick entry in the table for every scene I already know I'll want or need, with the entries titled with a couple words or a sentence that describes what will be in that scene so I'll remember it later. Basically, it's the most absolute bare-bones skeleton of what I vaguely know will probably happen in the story.

Then I start writing, wherever I want in the list. As I write, ideas for new scenes and new connections and themes will emerge over time, and I'll just slot them in between the original entries wherever they naturally fit, rearranging as necessary, so that I won't forget about them later when I'm ready to write them. As an example, my current long fic started with a list of roughly 35 scenes that I knew I wanted or needed, for a fic that will probably be around 100k words (which I didn't know at the time haha). As of this writing, it has expanded to 129 scenes. And since I write them directly in the page entries for the table, the fic is actually its own outline, without any additional effort on my part. As I said in the comment reply--a living outline!

This also made it easier to let go of the notion that I had to write something exactly right the first time. (People always say you should do this, but how many of us do? It's harder than it sounds! I didn't want to commit to editing later! I didn't want to reread my work! XD) I know I'm going to edit it naturally anyway, so I can feel okay giving myself permission to just write it approximately right and I can fix it later. And what I found from that was that sometimes what I believed was kind of meh when I wrote it was actually totally fine when I read it later! Sometimes the internal critic is actually wrong. 3. Marinating in the headspace of the story. For the first two months I worked on [fic], I did not consume any media other than [fandom the fic is in]. I didn't watch, read, or play anything else. Not even mobile games. (And there wasn't really much fan content for [fandom] to consume either. Still isn't, really. XD) This basically forced me to treat writing my story as my only source of entertainment, and kept me from getting distracted or inspired to write other ideas and abandon this one.

As an aside, I don't think this is a necessary step for writing, but if you really want to be productive in a short burst, I do highly recommend going on a media consumption hiatus. Not forever, obviously! Consuming media is a valuable tool for new inspiration, and reading other's work (both good and bad, as long as you think critically to identify the differences!) is an invaluable resource for improving your writing.

When I write, I usually lay down, close my eyes, and play the scene I'm interested in writing in my head. I even take a ten-minute nap now and then during this process. (I find being in a state of partial drowsiness, but not outright sleepiness, makes writing easier and better. Sleep helps the brain process and make connections!) Then I roll over to the laptop next to me and type up whatever I felt like worked for the scene. This may mean I write half a sentence at a time between intervals of closed-eye-time XD

People always say if you're stuck, you need to outline.

What they actually mean by that (whether they realize it or not) is that if you're stuck, you need to brainstorm. You need to marinate. You don't need to plan what you're doing, you just need to give yourself time to think about it!

What's another framing for brainstorming for your fic? Fantasizing about it! Planning is work, but fantasizing isn't.

You're already fantasizing about it, right? That's why you're writing it. Just direct that effort toward the scenes you're trying to write next! Close your eyes, lay back, and fantasize what the characters do and how they react.

And then quickly note down your inspirations so you don't forget, haha.

And if a scene is so boring to you that even fantasizing about it sucks--it's probably a bad scene.

If it's boring to write, it's going to be boring to read. Ask yourself why you wanted that scene. Is it even necessary? Can you cut it? Can you replace it with a different scene that serves the same purpose but approaches the problem from a different angle? If you can't remove the troublesome scene, what can you change about it that would make it interesting or exciting for you to write?

And I can't write sitting up to save my damn life. It's like my brain just stops working if I have to sit in a chair and stare at a computer screen. I need to be able to lie down, even if I don't use it! Talking walks and swinging in a hammock are also fantastic places to get scene ideas worked out, because the rhythmic motion also helps our brain process. It's just a little harder to work on a laptop in those scenarios. XD

In conclusion: Writing nonlinearly is an amazing tool for kicking writer's block to the curb. There's almost always some scene you'll want to write. If there isn't, you need to re-read or marinate.

Or you need to use the bathroom, eat something, or sleep. XD Seriously, if you're that stuck, assess your current physical condition. You might just be unable to focus because you're uncomfortable and you haven't realized it yet.

Anyway! I hope that was helpful, or at least interesting! XD Sorry again for the text wall. (I think this is the longest comment reply I've ever written!)

And same to you guys on tumblr--I hope this was helpful or at least interesting. XD Reblogs appreciated if so! (Maybe it'll help someone else!)

โ€œthis ship is not canonโ€ babe, theyโ€™re fictional characters. theyโ€™re not real. theyโ€™re literally dolls we play with. we donโ€™t care about whether or not these fictional charactersโ€™ love story is canon in this piece of media that is also entirely based on fiction. I mean, sure, canon would be lovely, but itโ€™s a bonus. itโ€™s not necessary. what we care about is the fun of talking about these 2 idiots being in love.

we donโ€™t give a fuck if they didnโ€™t kiss in โ€œcanonโ€. they had raw sex in thousands of fics about them though. and Iโ€™d say thatโ€™s more than enough to make people who ship them happily ship them even harder. happy shipping!
