Oh ... oh my.  I can’t stop laughing.  This is too true.  Especially the ‘will murder enemies for food’.  No I have never run a bard character who tried to make a ‘will murder for food’ D&D group into an epic hero’s journey group.  no not at all.

On a more serious note, I love this idea.  Everything remembers.  It ties in beautifully with a lot of the ideas behind Diane Duane’s Young Wizard series.  What is Loved, Lives.  And continents are loved.  They support, shelter and feed all the beings that live on them.  They maybe taken for granted sometimes, but they are loved.

The guy raised two rebellious Trebond magelets (despite being terrified of magic), is a career soldier who earned the title of Baron because he had to change Alanna’s diapers, and is also apparently a ladykiller who nabbed the heart of Her Majesty Rispah Cooper, Queen of the Ladies of the Rogue. If there’s a more underrated character in the series I can’t really think of one
