In the heat, dust and stunning landscapes of Damaraland, there is a sanctuary – Mowani Mountain Camp. Dwarfed by massive ochre boulders, the camp is absorbed into the landscape, making it one with our shared history of life in this prehistoric land. Every soft curve or ragged edge frames the landscape in a different way, as if you are seeing for the first time, every time. Luxury thatched suites with spectacular wrap-around views, equipped with air-conditioning within the room area. The lounge is equipped with a satellite television and CD music centre, private dining and bar facilities, drinks included. A personal waiter is available upon request. Adjacent to the lounge a double room with en-suite bathroom as well as an outdoor bush bath and shower with a gorgeous view once again.

Wüstenquell is certainly one of the loneliest farms in Namibia. But it is certainly also a farm that has landscapes to offer that are hard to find anywhere else in the country. It is located almost 100 km from the Atlantic coast in the middle of the desert, embedded into the Namib-Naukluft Park. Hotel Thule once was a luxury home on a Windhoek hilltop. Fascinating are still the sweeping views across the city and the mountains beyond. The residence’s name Thule has been retained and was changed to Hotel Pension Thule and later to Hotel Thule. The house was built by construction and property development millionaire Edmund Lafrenz in 1960, for himself and his wife Liselotte. The exclusive ambience was completed by the mansion perched on a high hilltop and guarded by stately palm trees.
According to a Nordic legend Thule refers to a place where reality and imagination meet.

Der Name der Residenz Thule wurde beibehalten und in Hotel Pension Thule und später in Hotel Thule geändert. Das Haus wurde 1960 vom Bau- und Immobilienmillionär Edmund Lafrenz für sich und seine Frau Liselotte gebaut. Abgerundet wird das exklusive Ambiente durch die Villa, die auf einem hohen Hügel thront und von stattlichen Palmen bewacht wird.
