Honestly our special interest in cats made us have lots of cat alters and the hyperfixation on invader zim literally made our host change from identifying with the body and being brain made to becoming an invader zim fictive (we then also split a bunch more fictives from invader zim) and parts of our innerworld have pokemon areas (like buildings and areas from in the games) due to our hyperfixation on pokemon

just an open-ended question for anyone who wants to share: how have your special interests or hyperfixations impacted your system? in terms of introjects, system structure, innerworld, etc. i feel as though we would be very different if we had different special interests than we currently do, so i'm curious if other pwCDDs feel the same!

sometimes you split for no reason. sometimes there’s a reason that you don’t know. but sometimes it’s just for no reason. sometimes you experience the slightest bit of stress and your brain copes the way it’s always coped: splitting, especially if you’re polyfragmented. sometimes these alters don’t fix the problems or even help them. sometimes you split for no reason. wanting to know everything about your system is normal, but sometimes things just happen because they do.

how the 10+ new parts look back at me after discovering their entire subsystem in the dark corners of my brain:

a cute drawing of a TBH creature-like doodle staring upward with big eyes & a silly, doting expression on a white background.

PSA

This is your reminder that OSDDID and systems cannot form without trauma, endogenic systems are not a real thing. If you do not have trauma, then you do not have a system.

IMPORTANT PSA ABOUT 'PROBLEMATIC SOURCES'

If you ban certain alters from certain sources from your space, you are being abelist. No one controls how introjects form, no one controls their source and no one exists just to trigger you. Try to take a minute to realize that excluding those alters alienates so many systems. It's not up to you how systems cope.
