Doodle I discovered with a timestamp of 2:27 am titled "Give the man horns" because yeah. Petition for real deer horns and not the literal crab claws lol (it's pretend hate guys I love his horns don't come for me)
P.S. this was heavily influenced by the way I've seen the very talented @elsa-fogen and @sunlit-mess draw Alastor! They both draw Al in such a beautiful style, sending all the love their way!!

Yapping and design notes under the cut!!!
I made him mainly red, with black gradient limbs and a voice box on his chest. His teeth are dull, and he is carrying his cane thing. !!! I liked his og colours so I kept them but tried to fix them up a bit to fit with his design. He has his bowtie, now a necklace and a long bang line to indicate his coat thing, even if he no longer has it
so... I went for the radio head for the final one, because he look more fun this way, and I forgot his little beard thing ;-;

Sincerely at this point, idk what to do with him, when i thought about redesigning alastor and make him a literal radio I didn't knew that old time radios are so FUCKING HARD TO DRAW! that's why (possibly) nobody make a oc with a old-time radio for a head, because is hard to make it decent!
ok, enough rant about him, well I decided to make a Hazbin Hotel reewrite, just for fun, and in this version Overlords that influence a type of technology/entretrainament with the time and power they become the techonology itself.
the body for reference and more understanding of this, and because Vox is a tv head I thought that making alastor a radio head would be interesting, and because his body is basically a robot made in the 1900 his movements are more rigid than a normal demon, his mouth do not move is always with this smile and he had a tail!
also his staff is reduced to just a normal microphone that stays in his office, yes he dosen't walk around with it.
the redesign and the rewrite is still in developemnt, but I have made a little of the rewrite so if you all want to see it, just comment.

Finally I decided on one design! so for now he will be like this, I tried to make him look cool with the antenna shaped antlers but I don't know about his chest, maybe I wil put the cross in his tie because it looks bland but I promise nothing!

馃 Alastor the Radio demon!馃帣
I had planned to post his final redeisgn along side niffty but I know that I take so much time to finally start drawing her, so here he is.
I changed his color pallet to yellow with red accents to remind of the old time photos and because the red ones that I tried were a little shit.
the other pallets that I tried, I liked the red ones enough but when I tried the yellow one, it just looked perfect and it made sense for him.
somethings that I will list I already put in his other posts but It dosen't hurt to put here too.
his date of death is the same (1933) and he died in his late 30's.
he's a robot based in the 30's/20's since in the show for THE radio demon he lacks some radio elements, only appering in his pure demon form or when he wants to be scary.
Also he did not arrived in hell that way, in here if a demon has powers coming from a certain technology and if they became a overlord, their body slowy transforms in the technology, like a robot (like alastor and Vox) or something else.
In the middle of his chest is where his voice come from so the static is more consequential than something that he has control over.
he does not move his mouth but when he's speak his eye and mouth glow a little, just like in the show when he wants to be scary.
his cane is just a microphone now that he sumnons when he wants to entretrain.
his antlers change form with the emotions and intesity of them, so when he's angry his antlers will get more rigid and if he's REALLY angry will grow just like in the show.
he dosen't hide his tails because is impossible since is not fluffy enough to cover wihout looking ridiculous so he just don't even try anymore.
I gave him a little mustache to give him more rizz with the girlies in cannibal town /j.
i always have a hard time drawing his bang so here's my Alastor redesign鈥攃an't tell if i like muted or gold fang/accents for him :>

Hi ^^ I'm actually posting consistently lmao.
I was mainly inspired by JC Leyendecker, specifically the paintings he did for the newspaper. Since his work was around in the 1920's, I made the newspaper-styled backgrounds. I went with the Saturday before the stock market crash for the date because I thought it'd be funny. Anyway, I should probably explain my Alastor redesign! I changed his color pallet to a darker red than the strawberry red the show uses. I've only used a little bit of it for the ends of his pants, the lapels, and the button-up underneath. I also made the suit more time-accurate because his canon suit is so far off. I wanted to keep the hourglass silhouette of his original design since it's so uncommon for male characters, so I went with a jazz suit. I also liked that they almost resemble hunting coats, which is very on theme for him. I made his shoes into hoof shoes and took the red out mainly because it would've blended in with the rest of him too much. That's also why the microphone staff is primarily black. I also decided to make the eye glow because I thought it'd be a fun effect. To make the bows more distinguishable from other characters, I went with a flatter bow, and instead of the unexplainable red section that the show has, I gave him a gem that looks similar to the eye of his microphone.
I wanted to change his hair but keep the length since the lack of human ears makes short haircuts look weird, so I went with a swept kinda look. Still vintage but a little past his time. I also tried making his deer features more pronounced since I don't think his character design pushes them enough. Anything deer-related is a standard fawn color instead of red to make it stick out much more. I have his antlers, especially light, so when he's in his demon form, it has high contrast as opposed to the show, where they can get lost sometimes.

En vida era un locutor que en su tiempo libre practicaba magia negra como el vud煤 y 4s3sinaba a personas f谩ciles de atrapar , y se hiso amigo de Husk , Nifty y Minzy para usarlos como c贸mplices de sus actos macabros. Muri贸 de un balazo en la cabeza al ser perseguido por los padres de las v铆ctimas que quer铆an justicia , siendo perseguido y acorralado como una presa , despu茅s su cuerpo fue abandonado en el bosque.
Despu茅s cuando lleg贸 al infierno en peso a cazar overlords y pecadores y burlarse de ellos en la radio ganado poder y respeto , cuando sus amigos tambi茅n llegaron al infierno decidi贸 capturar sus almas para conseguir mas poder.
Vox una ves le ofreci贸 que se uniera a su grupo pero por sus formas de pensar causo un conflicto que termin贸 en rivalidad

Alastor, the radio demon
In life he was a broadcaster who in his free time practiced black magic such as voodoo and k1ll people who were easy to catch, and he befriended Husk, Nifty and Minzy to use them as accomplices in his macabre acts. He died from a gunshot wound to the head when being chased by the parents of the victims who wanted justice, being chased and cornered like prey, then his body was abandoned in the forest.
Later, when he came to hell in weight to hunt overlords and sinners and mock them on the radio, he gained power and respect. When his friends also arrived to hell, he decided to capture their souls to gain more power.
Vox once offered him to join their group but his ways of thinking caused a conflict that ended in rivalry.
He is Rosie's best friend.
He has no interest in the Hazbin Hotel, he just wants to get easy deals and be at the forefront of the failure of the Hazbin Hotel since the failure amuses him.
He hates modern technology and prefers antiquity and rustic things.

He is someone who is careful with his words and plans his way of acting a lot, avoiding being an impulsive expert who believes he is winning.

I redesigned charlie and alastor I gave both of them visible hoofs because I can't imagine wearing shoes with hoofs 馃槶馃槶馃槶 I saturated alastors color pallet because it feels more 1920s now. I GAVE HIM A TAIL :33
charlie on the other hand I mostly changed colors of her design, making her suit more pink so she comes of as less intimidating and I couldn't have resisted giving her ginger hair based on that one Lucifer painting
