The fact that even the misogynistic lords and historians of Westeros acknowledge how shitty the Greens are just makes Green stans that much more ridiculous. You'd think that a modern audience would be able to identify the amount of sexism from their favs, but I guess they're all either illiterate or have no reading comprehension. Unless they actually are super misogynistic and are just denying it lmao, who can tell.

Do you know what's ironic? Aegon did not allow historians to recognize Rhaenyra as queen, and the history of Viserys's reign and the war were described by Septon Eustace, who hated Rhaenyra, but this still did not make Aegon any better in the eyes of people.

Years later in Asoiaf, no one cares about Alicent and Helaena, who were the "true queens", and Rhaenyra is remembered as the mother of two kings. Most often, when one of the characters remembers Aegon, the first thing that is associated with him is his brutal murder of his own sister in front of her child. Also, no one himself remembers the “most beautiful dragon” Sunfire, while Syrax was mentioned by Tyrion.

"Aenys was weak and Maegor was cruel and Aegon II was grasping” Aegon as a king is mentioned along with such bad kings as Aenys and Maegor.

why is it that alicent and sansa are given the interiority no one ever has for rhaenyra and dany. why are they the long-suffering chessmasters while rhaenyra and dany are the warmongering power hungry whores. as though rhaenyra and dany have not suffered at all and are not intelligent or have any political savvy. like bffr

i find it interesting how house targaryen is always singled out as the most violent, the most evil, the most feudal, the most villainous, the most oppressive, responsible for the most atrocities etc etc as opposed to everyone else who is just a poor little victim of ‘targaryen colonialism’ (lol) when in reality westeros is a settler state built on genocide committed by the first men and the andals against the children of the forest. why don’t we ever see the thinkpieces about how robb stark is evil for embracing his stark identity and that was the cause of his downfall? you could easily make that argument. after all, the starks descend from first men who were evil savages and genociders. if you’re gonna use the crimes of valyria against house targaryen, then i can just as well use the crimes of the first men against the starks. house stark is guilty of a genocide of the children of the forest, extinguishing entire bloodlines and ethnic cleansing against the blackwoods. their rule over the north is the results of centuries upon centuries of absolute tyranny, doesn’t that make them evil? i could easily write a thinkpiece about how robb’s downfall is the fault of his first men values and use book quotes selectively to argue that. i could say that robb stark is an imperialist colonizer because he descends from settler colonists, i could say that him preferring to marry jeyne westerling (of first men descent) rather than roslin frey (of andal descent) is a sign of his blood purity and the narrative punished him for that and it was deserved, why not? i could say that northern separatism is very much like quebec or texas separatism, aka the people in favor of it have no right to dictate what to do with the land that isn’t theirs to begin with, why not? i could argue that starks are destined to fail because else the narrative validates colonialism and genocide, why not?

you have no right to say a bad word against the targaryens considering that your beloved starks descend from genociders and are settler colonists who very recently engaged in mass rape of newlywed women via the law of the first night, so acting like they’re some force of good against the evil valyrians is laughable. your little headcanons about how the starks are actually indigenous will not change that. pick up the books for a change, lmao

I actually like Otto and Alicent's scenes it shows how abusive relationships can be, he's a manipulative asshole, and that's how manipulators and abusers keep you on your toes, so that if someone says "Hey that's not really good" you go "yeah, but he did this good thing for me, so he's really not that bad"

As someone else said, they should've made the season 20 episodes, it would've given more time to develop the characters more, and the "everyone is bad" shit would've had more weight

This guy literally pimped his daughter... and the show has the nerve to sometimes having tender scenes between these two.

On the other hand, Daemon, who hugs his daughters, no that was too much to ask... He must be a bad father for the writers !

Although canonically, compared to Fire and Blood, Daemon has always been a good father, including to his daughters, in addition to a man generally very attached to his family.

Not to mention that the writers have completely kept Daemon's basic attachment to his family, as the main characteristic of the character in the HOTD adaptation, having been presented / shown to us from the first episode !

Once again, Otto, one of the villains and antagonists of the story, book and show, who in this adaptation pimps his daughter in addition to usurping as in Fire and Blood the legitimate heir to the throne out of pure greed for power and misogyny, starting a war in the process, it's OK for him to show affection for his family !?

But not Daemon, the ultimate gray character of dance and Fire and Blood in general, who also remains a gray character in HOTD whose main characteristic shown in the first episodes of this sho is his love for his family ?!

(They cut to the three-way hug, the moment where he takes the girls away from the traumatic spectacle of Laena giving birth, Daemon with his daughters looking at Laena's body while holding Rhaena's hand, Daemon telling Rhaenyra that he wants something else for his daughters in episode 7, Daemon taking Baela away from the fight in episode 8...)

We're really walking on our heads at this point...

If that's not further proof of the writers' pro-greens favoritism, I don't know what is.

I'm sorry her? From all the female characters you chose the religion-obsessed character who shames other women for their promiscuity? The woman who instead of punishing her rapist son (I'm not saying she had to send him to the wall cause even I can tell that's ridiculous) enables his behaviour as long as he's discreet with it? The one who married Helaena off when she was a tween, freshly menstruated to Aegon knowing full well how awful he is to women?

Being conventionally attractive and looking at everyone with her sad teary eyes while asking "why's no one in my side?:(" doesn't make her a feminist icon

"uh rhaenyra isn't a feminist icon either cause she just cares about being queen and doesn't care for other women" what the fuck do you expect? For her to, as soon as she got named heir, say that women will be the first one's in line to inherit from now on? To illegalize arranged marriages? Her becoming queen is a big of a deal, her ruling successfully would've opened so many doors to other women, but Alicent decided her rapist of a son should be king and closed all doors and windows to other women

Most of this flavour of greenies tend to call themselves feminists for supporting Alicent but yell that Rhaenyra is a whore (she slept with 4 men, she was married to 2 of them, had a serious relationship with one of them and offered to maintain a relationship with the other who btw refused because she didn't want to give up a life of comfort and luxury after one quick fuck) and Baela is a spawn from hell because she's not afraid to throw punches when people offend her family
