when you get a text from your gf who isnt your gf but you treat her like your gf but shes not your gf but you want her to be your gf but youre scared to make a move because shes the closest youve ever come to a gf so youre scared to ruin that but also shes your soulmate

As a kid I could never sleep and used to end up watching telly shopping after the cartoons stopped, I used to communicate entirely in bad infomercial quotes and got weirdly exited whenever I saw vanish action gold

Eventually I got into toy story, and I would communicate mostly in toy story quotes as well as other random quotes and phrases, as well as imitating my dad's voice

It wasn't until I was introduced to doctor who at maybe 5/6 that I started being able to communicate a lot more clearly, by TV talking like David tennant as the 10th doctor, and to this day my entire communication style, language and everything else is built on top of that David Tennant TV talking, I got my voice through his character, and through those less accepted forms of communication, and to some extent you could make the argument that I still am TV talking, just with a much larger selection of characters and vocabulary(not to try and seem like im trying to put myself in that spot, i wouldn't consider that my communication method)

All of this to say that those communication types can be stepping stones to "better" communication, they won't always be, maybe they very rarely will be, but if someone doesn't feel comfortable to communicate in the way they know how, they won't ever feel comfortable to try something new either

Autism acceptance includes accepting all autistic manners of communication.

That means supporting autistic people who talk in a "very childish" way. (I do this a lot irl)

Autistic people who do "TV talking" (this means talking like a character from your favorite media,basically talking in quotes and copying their speech patterns,as far as I know)

Autistic people who use echolia.

Autistic people who are very awkward/quirky when they communicate.

Autistic people who are overly technical,or have very sophisticated and articulate speech.

Autistic people who mumble.

Autistic people who talk really fast.

Autistic people who can't control their tone of voice/inflection.

Autistic people who talk in a monotone voice.

Autistic people who use different kind of sounds,or body language to communicate.

Autistic people who talk slowly and draw out their syllables.

Autistic people who use a lot of sentance fillers.

Autistic people who use Aac devices,communication cards,etc etc.

Edit: acceptance of nonverbal autistics is also necessary. Nonverbal people deserve love,respect,acceptance,accommodation and support.
