Ball Jointed Doll - Tumblr Posts
This is my first time drawing of Clara in a LONG time. She’s an artificial soul inside a doll body (the lil symbol at the top is how they are attached to the body)
WOW LOOKIE! I did
AN ARTS!
Clara is gaining a new theme and now has ombré in her locks, they so pretty
Been a little dream of mine since I was a kid to make dolls and stop motion,, so here is my first attempt at a ball jointed doll. It definitely could have been better but I’m rather happy with how they turned out :>
Today Hal arrived with his new makeup and I love his new wrinkles and how the length of his face is accentuated. These are a couple of pictures that I took with my cell phone, with his "long" haired wig. Personally, I love this hybrid look of Hal with long hair, with his older look…
Today my last AliExpress bought arrived, so at least I got all the tools to arrange my BJDs wigs! So I got a little hair straightener and a tiny hair curler. (Messy pictures that I will maybe delete later)
Just starting with Hal's new wig. I didn't like this wig because it has a middle split hair... But the bad thing was the straight hair in the back so, we have to make it wavy! 〰️ So we do all the stylish thing and then put a little bit of hair spray to make it hold in place and then brush it to separate the fiber a little bit...
Now we're talking!!
So I do the same thing with Lina! Finally she will get her hairstyle! And she now will have all her "Leiji Matsumoto" vibes!
They're so cute now!! I can finally say that they look like I wanted! And now Otacon is so good looking!
no thoughts only doll! Yui Komori
Got all the pieces roughcut for my big doll. When it's finished, it should be around 30" tall
Now that my installation's almost finished, I can start working on other stuff again. (Photos of the installation coming later. It's dark and I need a tripod.)
I'm finally starting to get the torso of this thing somewhat how I'd like it.
An array of stuff on the work table.
Some objects from the In-Progress shelf I worked on today. Cast iron tile and head for a ball jointed doll.
There’s still time to sign up for my summer class, but not much. Classes start June 12th, and I will be covering the history of art dolls and designer toys, as well as how to create your own and cast multiple editions in resin. More information available at the Western Colorado Center for the Arts website.
Finalized blueprint
Skeleton for bottom half of torso in progress
After a good nights sleep realized that this was needlessly complicated and very unlikely to work so here is the new progress post, as I scrapped the old design.
