I have a bedrock bros au on my mind, like alternative set of events, where instead of hiding Tommy in his house, after the exile and Techno's unsuccessful execution, Techno sends him to live in the Nether among piglins, assuming that Dream won't get him there. Techno, of course, helped Tommy to learn the piglin language and all, made him the tusk retainers from wolf canines and a golden wire, gave him some supplies and all of that, so the kid won't die in the next 48 hours

And Tommy, after being kinda accepted into one of the tribes, got himself a good place amongst the hunters, then "got promoted" to the chieftain's closest people, and after that started full on Daenerys Targaryen style campaign, uniting three other clans together under the name of old leader, and then became a chieftain himself after the previous one died in battle

And then he just kinda... Lives there. And that's all

What if Tommy learned the piglin language from Techno, including by imitation, so that every time he speaks piglish, he repeats the manner of Techno speech

If we want bedrockbros back, we need another war. And I think we're about to get one

let me explain-

Okay so I've had this idea for a bit now, which is that we are fundamentally misunderstanding the lore. We keep wishing for and expecting these conversations, you know? Even with fireworks duo, we were all waiting for Techno to go to tubbo with the purpose of apologizing. But that's not how the lore works. The dream smp seems to be focused on having an action-based story, with conversation as a vessel to get to those actions. So when Techno and Tubbo made up, it was because of a common goal.

Now, I said in the title that I think we're about to get a war. That,,, might be a stretch, but we are looking at a major conflict on the horizon. Why? Well, because of Sam and because of the prison.

When Dream went into the box, nobody was particularly upset about it. People weren't too worried about Techno in there, either. The problem is that Tommy, Ranboo, and even randos like Connor were ALSO locked up. And now -even if we know he's been doing bad stuff- Sam is in the prison.

With Tommy and Ranboo, they're pretty sweet and mournable. Not enough to spark huge conflict with people who weren't close with them. Nobody is canonically worried about Connor, but I think Sam will get people antsy. Because Sam built the prison. Sam contained Dream for months. Sam represents order on the server, even when he doesn't personally uphold it. So a lot of people are going to want Sam out of the box.

BUTTTT

Sam is also dangerous. A lot of people have seen that firsthand. They've also seen that sam has sort of gone off the deep-end.

So I think if there ends up being a server-wide conflict about all this, we're looking at two sides. The side that wants sam in prison and the side that wants Sam roaming free. I think it might split this

Sam stays: Niki, Techno, Phil, Tubbo, Eret, Wilbur, Ponk, Dream

Sam's freed: Hannah, Sapnap, Eryn (Obviously following the lead of Sap and other such ppl) Quackity, Foolish, Fundy

Conflict of Interest: Punz, Karl, Puffy, Tommy

Wild Card: Boomer, Jack, Purpled

And we can (finally) arrive at my long-winded point.

Basically, I think Tommy will, at some point, run out of safe spaces during the conflict and have to go get help from the antarctic commune, where he's already protected by Phil (and i think tubbo's gonna be at the commune more often but shh) wherein Techno and Tommy will both awkwardly say sorry, likely on the way to fight someone else, because the cc insist on ONLY GIVING APOLOGIES WHILE THEY'RE ON THEIR WAY TO A FIGHT-

Techno getting annoyed with Tommy's rambunctiousness and big talk, so he decides to take him up on his fighting words and start an impromptu sparring session in order to tire Tommy out.

Pros: Success! Tommy is quiet now! Techno can go back to reading.

Cons: Tommy falls asleep in his lap and he can't move.

Pros: Tommy makes for a good arm rest. Perfect height to rest his book, actually.

Cons: Tommy has started snoring and since Techno is cozy, pig instincts have mistaken it for purring and elected to join in.

Cons: The Syndicate has showed up and they are teasing him. BAD. VERY BAD. THIS WAS A TERRIBLE IDEA.

Pros: Since they aren't trapped under a sleeping Tommy (impossible to move, trapped forever and ever), he can force his friends to get him stuff. Philza brings tea and Niki grabs some pastries she was making.

Pros: Magnolia tea helps people fall asleep, and now there is a cuddly nap pile.

Cons: Techno doesn't finish his book.
