I won’t accept Family Video slander because the fact is the only reason they survived so long is because they DIDN’T believe themselves to be endless. Family Video was Very Aware that the future of video rental was flimsy. There’s a reason that you’ve likely never seen a Family Video that wasn’t also, say, a Papa John’s. The company was very smart and acquired multi-space buildings so that they could also rent out space beside their main business— they knew that a video rental store couldn’t stand on its own, at least not forever. Where Blockbuster faltered years before, Family Video managed to keep going. Even with streaming becoming so prevalent it should have been impossible to survive, they continued chugging along. It took a freaking pandemic to finally get rid of them. The remains of Family Video are not an ode to hubris, they are an ode to perseverance. Put some respect on their name.

Just simple stuff, like just one little panel during some narration show me like chrono and nemoto playing shogi in prison (I think chrono, nemoto and mimic are in one prison, Hojo, Setsuno and Tabe in another??don’t quote me some of them are still together though it’s in the analysis book), show me deidoro making toilet wine, show me Rappa teaching the other prisoners how to fight, show me Tengai meditating with the other prisoners, just show me overhaul period. I just MISS THEM.
I also have just a lot of questions about a LOT of the Hassaikai I won’t get answered (What made Nemoto go from being a con man to valuing truth above all else? What kind of cons did he run? Does he wear his glasses under his mask? What made tengai stop being a monk? I still FIRMLY believe pops and chrono are related. Also in the analysis book it says Rikiya started out as Overhaul’s younger brother like figure like EXCUSE ME??? WHY WASNT THIS ELABORATED ON??) I’ve accepted that but I just wanna see their pretty little faces again. Also chrono was ranked 28 in the latest popularity poll show HIM TO ME.

This is the closest we’ve had Simon helping wille through a panic attack, he knew wille needed him to re-ensure him he wasn’t alone, that simon was there with him no matter what, through tender touches, a hug and a gentle kiss.
I really need them to talk more deeply about this kind of stuff, Wille opening up about his extreme anxiety and Simon about how his past with his family have influenced the way he faces his problems.
