Day 1 - Battlefield
As soon as I read this prompt, I knew I wanted to use the Enemy Kingdoms AU for it. And I already had a pretty good idea of what scene I wanted to illustrate, as well. (Eugene and Rapunzel were originally supposed to be included in this piece, but I had to remove them for time’s sake.)
I was really inspired by the paper cut-out style that was used for the opening story in the episode Under Raps, and I wanted to try and mimic it as much as possible (though obviously, in 2D form.)

Like, it would have been easy to not show anything and assume that it's just how Caitlyn is or how her mom is and how she learnt by example from her, but no, it was little ol' Tobias.
Cassandra Kiramman is a badass, she knows politics, how to handle guns, and has a killer gaze. All that, Cait inherited from her mom.
But the softness? That's from dad.

this is the result of me finding caitlyn’s mom extremely attractive + being obsessed with coming up with headcanons and backstories for fictional characters. recently i’ve been thinking about young cass and what kind of person she was years before we first meet her in the show… before the council, before motherhood, before marriage. how she and tobias first met and how they fell in love.
and like, just look at her? she’s so pretty and her eyes are the most gorgeous shade of blue… and i will never, ever get over how much caitlyn looks like her mama.
