Crocheters Of Tumblr - Tumblr Posts
🚨Proud maker alert🚨
I stumbled across these adorable Pop Tart book sleeves on Etsy last week. After tallying up over $60 to have two of them sent to me (reasonable, but I'm a SAHM), I decided to spend that same amount on a crochet class over the weekend and made two myself! A mixed berry for my Kindle, and a funfetti for my eldest son's chapter books. I'm thrilled I was able to learn a useful new life skill while supporting a local yarn shop.
Jazzed about this $2 granny square throw blanket from the church tag sale today.

shop the yarn in my store ʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ♥
Through this weekend only, alllll handspun yarn in my shop is 20% off! Proceeds from the sale are going to moving expenses and helping me pay rent while I look for employment. :3

So I decided to start making a blanket thinking huh bet it's easy, it's not. All I have made full stop before this is three meh granny squares, I've been crocheting for SEVEN HOURS 💔💔💔💔 I'm only on row something and ready to give up
Hey, um crocheting community of Tumblr? That's how I should start it? I was doing a backpack/bag and this is wrong side
Does anyone know if I can leave it be like that (I was switching colors mid working and those are loose ends) or should I secure it in some way. If I should secure it, do I have to tie it all up in pairs or is there a faster way? Everything is 100% acrylic other than yellow (25% wool and 75% acrylic)
I will add some material bag as a lining so person using it won't actually touch these loose ends and I'm not sure if I won't scream if I have to tie it all up because I've been doing it on intense mode and have enough of it but I need
book tracker update
this year i've been tracking my reviews of books in a crochet blanket i'm making and here is my march update.
so far i've only had three, four, and five stars which, to me anyway, means it's been a pretty good reading year so far. i honestly cannot complain much, last year i had a few one and two stars and even a dnf so this year is better than i expected.
here is the color chart:
dark green: 5 stars
cream: 4 stars
gray: 3 stars
tan: 2 stars
sage green: 1 star
month change: white

i need the help of crocheters everywhere!!!
im making a shawl for my best friend and i found a lovely pattern for it. the thing is, i only got about half way through when i lost the pattern!!!
and let me tell ya its like this thing dropped of the face of the earth.
i found it the first time by scouring google for like an hour and it was just perfect. there was a yourube tutorial for it and im nearly positive that the title was something like
‘beginner crochet shawl tutorial’
but i swear im going insane cause ive been searching for weeks for this thing. it was a simple pattern that was a mix of double crochets and singles with some front and back post stitches in there.
it was a triangle shawl but im 100% certain it was not a granny square style one and it didnt have big gaps in it either, its meant to be warm, so i dont believe there were really any treble crochets in there either. and it was not a one or two row repeat situation either. there was like 5-7 row repeats to give it cool texture.
i remember there was apart of the video that paused on the rows to repeat as well and it was like a written part on the screen.
even if this pattern was completely deleted off the internet, i would like to know so i can at least frog and start over with a different pattern, cause its driving me insane. i just need to know
please help me find this pattern!!!
heres part of it so it can be compared
While on bed rest after having surgery and high on pain meds, I discovered that no, I cannot count. Also discovered that my determination maxes out at the same time. I'm still very proud of this guy.
I started him before the medicated bed rest and I finished him during the medicated bed rest.
if you want to learn crochet or knitting, ask yourself:
can i count?
am i prepared for the answer to be hell no?
