Shoulda called it Avatar: The Way of Daddy Issues

Quaritch vs gen z slang
Yeah, I know technically its decades in the future and it wouldn't be gen z but sometimes you gotta suspend your disbelief for a stupid joke

Don't worry, Spider walked it off

Avatar: The Last Airbender quotes with Avatar: As In The Blue People characters is the best :)

It's craaaazy how opinions on Spider vary so much depending on what site you're on

Spider did a costume with Kiri instead. But at least Quaritch has his soldiers...

It would be so funny if Quaritch just pulled an Omni-man on Spider in A3
Anybody out there a fan of both Avatar and Invincible?

I created a cover art for Alas It Ain't Kansas by @mist--walker and SlyFoxTheBeast (click for better quality) it's inspired by the cover for the High Ground Comics
It's an awesome fic that follows Quaritch right after the events of The Way of Water, where he goes on a mission to infiltrate the Tipani clan and ends up on a journey of self-discovery and redemption! I highly recommend!

Click for better quality, i created an arctic Na'vi OC inspired by Inuit culture! I'm thinking of naming her Kanalaak

Lo'ak, Kiri, and Spider visit their new friend, Kanalaak, in the Arctic tribe... and they get a little culture shock!

Zuko's not the only one who's honor depends on capturing an Avatar...

Been a long time coming, but I finally got around to making a cover art for another one of my favorite fanfics, Silent as Shadows, by @jeanniebug623 !
The story follows Spider and the recoms when Quaritch captures a mysterious Na'vi in the forest who won't communicate with them. Spider and the Na'vi find common ground in being "outsiders" in their respective worlds and start to feel like they've found family in each other, but their growing bond is threatened when Quaritch decides to exploit the Na'vi for his own gain.
And a quick note: I know in the fanfic she's supposed to have a collar-like tracking device, but it didn't work for the pose I wanted (plus it felt kinda icky to draw XP) so I switched it to an ankle monitor instead. I hope jeannie doesn't mind me taking some artistic liberties!

Here's a sneak peak at my next art project!
Creating the cover art for @jeanniebug623's fic, Silent as Shadows, made me realize I need more practice drawing backgrounds! So my new goal is to practice drawing things like the trees and forest and rock formations!

Quaritch vs the consequences of his own actions

In all seriousness, I think something vaguely similar to this may happen in A3. I've seen people throwing around the idea of recom-Quaritch getting a redemption arc, and while I don't think that's ENTIRELY impossible, I still struggle to see how it could happen with everything he's done as his own entity, even if you don't blame him for the crimes of human-Quaritch. Like, I know he didn't order Neteyam to get shot, but that death is still on him, you know? I don't think he could ever reconcile with Jake and the rest of the Na'vi after Neteyam.
BUT I also know that James Cameron is ✨cooking✨ something with this big blue asshole, otherwise he wouldn't have had Spider save him. Plus, I've seen that leaked script! Quaritch is definitely not gonna keep fighting for the RDA, and will probably turn against them at some point. So instead of switching sides because he pulled a Jake and genuinely realized the RDA is in the wrong, he's gonna switch sides for purely selfish reasons, namely, Spider. Like, he's gonna fight on the "good" side, but he'll still be a huge asshole. I for one can't wait to see his character development wherever it goes!

2/9 pages of my little comic finished :)
(click for better quality!)
I haven't felt up to writing lately, but I decided to try my hand at a longer format comic. It's my interpretation of what could happen in Avatar three based on the leaks, specifically that one where Jake and Quaritch are sitting together talking while Spider is asleep. I kept turning that script page over and over in my head wondering how the hell they went from fighting to the death to having a civil discussion and this is the result! I already have all 9 pages outlined and sketched, but I've only finished the first 2 so far. I can't wait to share the full story with y'all!
And to those of you who have sent me writing prompts: they are not forgotten, they are safely in my ask box and I will get to them some day 💙💙💙
Update: I've finished 5 out of 9 of the comic pages! I can't wait to finish it and show everyone 💙
Here is a low quality Quaritch for your viewing pleasure:

Common Enemy: an Avatar 3 fancomic,

I hope you enjoyed! Do you think something similar to this could happen in A3? Do Jake and Quaritch feel in character? Constructive criticism is welcome, please let me know what you think!
💙Reblogs are greatly appreciated 💙
Can you tell us what will appear in the sequel to Common Enemy? How long did it take you in total to finish the first part?
I don't want to spoil anything, but all I'll say is that the second part of the comic is heavily inspired by the leaked script, so Spider better brace himself 👀👀👀
Part 2 is gonna be 11 pages long, so Common Enemy will have 20 total pages but that might change as I sketch out the first draft. I've already sketched the first 5 pages, and I'll start working on the lineart and coloring once I finish sketching out the whole thing. Here's a sneak peak of the first page!

I started sketching out the first part on April 15, and I finished it on May 25, so it took me a little over a month to make 9 pages. Part two is going to be a little bit longer, but I also have more free time this summer, so I honestly can't say when I'll finish part 2. I'll keep posting updates on my tumblr!

I found an old Avatar fanart I never posted (you can tell its old cause of the artstyle 😭) It's meant to be a scene from The High Ground
