Anya and Chimera x Calvin and Hobbes

Siento que estos dos grupos de tres personajes tienen las mismas vibras/I feel like these two groups of three characters have the same personalities.
Could I request some more headcanons about Damien and Anya?! They are so cute!!
Damianya (Damian x Anya) on an amusement park (suddenly thirsty for future fics, sorry >.
Okay so Anya is 17 years old while Damian is 18 years old.
âIâm giving you the great honor of accompanying me to the amusement park. Be grateful!â â basically how Damian asked his own girlfriend out to a date.
Anya only giggles and playfully replies with âIâm honored your highness!â
Damian blushes heavily to her bright smile, just as he always did the past 12 years.Â
On the day of the date, Anya arrives wearing a cute dress jumper and Damian couldnât help but stop and stare.
Anya curiously looks at him, fighting the urge to read his mind to know what he was thinking, worrying if he thought she looked weird.
âdoes it not look okay?â Anya looks down at herself, Damian is brought back to reality and coughed instinctively, looking away while hiding his mouth behind his hand.
ây-you look⊠cute..â
Anya couldnât hear it properly and asked him to repeat it.
Damian blurts out in embarrassment. âAgh! I said it looks f-fine! Thatâs enough isnât it?!â He storms off looking like a tomato.
Anya only smiles, getting the message clearly, catching up to him and initiating to hold his hand instead to which he flushed but tightened his hold.
Damian kept being pulled by Anya on extreme rides and he would constantly want to keep up this manly image in front of Anya and act like it wasnât at all scary
But he kept shivering, our sweet Anya did not fail to notice and would hold his hand and give him a reassuring smile.
Damian looked away with a smile/smirk making its way on his face with a mix of relief and pride, thinking that Anya held his hand because SHE was the one who was scared. Lol.
They went for some mini cakes after the rides, and bought two strawberry shortcakes that were last on stock.
Anyaâs pretty clumsy, almost tripping just after they went outside the store, resulting to her dropping her shortcake
Good thing Damian caught a good hold on her and even scolded her from worry, like those nagging bfâs
Anya only looked at her dropped shortcake with a pout and Damian sighs before offering her his shortcake.
Anya looked at him wide eyed. Damian blushes in annoyance as she kept staring at him.
âW-What? Itâs yours! I-I donât even like strawberry that much! Tch.â Just take it, I⊠donât like seeing you sad.
Anya giggles to herself. Oops. I accidentally read his mind.
Anya takes the cake from his hand and gives him a soft kiss on the cheek which startled Damian. âThank you.â
Damian finally blows a huge fuse, reddening more than before (if it was still even possible)
Damian mutters to himself as he touches his cheek âYou idiot. Thatâs not fair.â
More Damian and Anya please? Iâm hooked and I need more đ
Damianâs Truthful(?) Thoughts
âDonât be so full of yourself, ugly!â Why did I have to feel like this for you out of all people?! Damian bursts out. Both in speech and in thoughts.
Now Anya was confused. And what did âlike thisâ mean? Anya went in a daze, suddenly deep in thought. Her head unknowingly hung down.
Damian went unconsciously alarmed at the little girlâs sudden silence. H-Had I taken it too far? Does shâ Does she hate me now? Damian could not explain it but the mere thought made him extremely uncomfortable.Â
âI⊠I take it b-back!â Damian bursts out in panic. His pride becoming the least of his concerns this moment when the thought of Anya maybe hating him was⊠possible.Â
Anya is startled by this, raising her head to look at him with curious eyes, tilting her head. âTake what back?"Â
Damian looks away, a violent surge of pink about to showâ or rather, was already evident on his face. "Th-That⊠I mean- Youâ Youâre notâŠâ His voice diminishing with every word uttered. But his embarrassment ate him over the last minute, just like every time he was in front of this unpredictable (cute) esper.Â
âWhatever! I donât care! Youâre just a low class plebeian. Youâre stubborn, smug, and ugââ Damian stops at his own words. He tried saying the word he taught was usual to say to her, but something unknowingly stopped him. He didnât know what it was.Â
He eventually chooses to turn around, walking away. Flushes still visible on his cheeks. Anya only looked at him, scratching her head, perplexed.Â
I-Iâll admit youâre not ugly but I still d-dont like you!Â
Anya hears his thoughts before he walked away. People ought to usually lie when they speak and completely true when they think.Â
And it was so bizarre how Anya had just met someone who could possibly (or actually) be both. Anya pouts in slight frustration.Â
Helping in Paâs mission is hard when even reading his mind is a big puzzle.
Anya finds out she has a new psychic power (telekinesis) and tries to practice using it without anyone finding out. Either Becky or Damian catch her in the act. (Author's choice)

A/N: Thank you for the prompt! This is my first Spy x Family fic. I hope I do okay. đ
...
Anya stared at the bag of peanuts on the top shelf, eyes moist, and a barely contained scowl on her face. Her little fists curled up into balls as her eyes stayed focused on the bag.Â
âLoid...â Yor touched her lower lip as she watched the little girl hold her arms up and come on her tiptoes, trying to reach the bag. âMaybe we can give her just a bit?âÂ
âNo, Yor.â Loid sighed and put his daughterâs test papers down. He rubbed his forehead.Â
I should have expected her scores, and I did, but Iâm still disappointed.Â
âNo more peanuts until she gets her grades up.âÂ
Another Tonitrous Bolt would be disastrous for Operation Strix.Â
âMaybe if we cut her time watching TV and put it into studying...â he muttered to himself.Â
The little girl bit her lower lip, and closed her eyes, wishing the bag would just fall into her hands. She hung her head and held her palms up to face her, the tears at the corner of her eyes threatening to spill at the sight of them empty. She heard footsteps approach her, and Anya looked up. âMamaaaa!â She cried, knowing her mother was softer on her.Â
âOh...â Yor felt pity for the girl and looked back at her husband in the living room. âBut she has been trying.â Â
Anya closed her eyes, imagined the peanut bag in her hands, and suddenly, she felt something drop and crackle between them. Her eyelids flung open and widened at the bag in her hands. A wide grin spread on her face and she ripped it open, digging in. âThanks, Mama!âÂ
Yor looked back at her and blinked. âBut I didnât...âÂ
How did that... How did Anya get the bag?
âDid you give it to her, Yor?â Loid stood up from the couch and walked over to the kitchen. Anya skipped to her room, munching on her peanuts happily. He sighed but looked at her softly. âWe canât keep spoiling her like this.âÂ
âBut I... I didnât...â She tried to explain, confused with how it happened, too. Did she grab it and gave it to Anya without her even knowing? There was no way Anya could have reached for it.
.
.
.
âGive it back, Ewen!â Becky huffed and placed her hands on her hips. âStop it and give it back!â Â
Emile snickered and taunted the poor girl further. âOr what?âÂ
âIâll tell on you!â She pointed a finger at them and then opened up her palm. âMy dad gave me that pen!âÂ
Anya held on to the straps of her backpack and watched the exchange with wide eyes before approaching her friend. âWhat happened?âÂ
âOh, Anya!â Becky looked at her. âThese two wonât hand me my pen back.âÂ
âIâll get it for you.â Anya approached the two boys, and held her palm open, her attention focused on the gold-colored pen.Â
Thatâs a really shiny pen.Â
She reached her hand forward, but still a few feet away from Ewen.Â
âWhatâyou think Iâll just hand it to you?â The boy laughed.Â
âStop it, you guys,â Damian said cooly. âDonât waste your time with theââ His eyes widened at what he saw, Anya was already holding on to the pen, she too, looked a little surprised, but grinned upon having it in her possession. Heat crawled up her cheeks and she waved it around before walking back to Becky.Â
âHere you go!â Anya cheered and handed it over to Becky.
Wow, that was easy. But how did it fly to my hand... Â
âYouâre amazing!â Becky hugged her, happy to have her pen back. âCome on, letâs go before they try anything again.â Anya was pulled away, but even as she walked to match Beckyâs pace, her emerald eyes were trained on her small hand.Â
Have I⊠Can I finally do it?Â
Vague flashes of her spending time being observed behind a glass window, wires connected to her head, and a pebble before her on the empty table came racing through her mind. However, before she could recall what the people were muttering amongst themselves on how she could access this power, their teacher had entered the classroom, telling the children to settle down.Â
I⊠I have to try when I get home!
Anya had a determined look on her face, easily fooling their teacher that she was into the lecture. But behind her, Damian zoned in on her, finding the earlier events highly suspicious.Â
.
.
.
âIâm home,â Loid announced as he removed his hat and jacket.Â
âWelcome home!â Yor called from the kitchen. âDinner is almost ready. Iâll make you some tea while you wait.âÂ
âThank you.â He smiled at her and walked into the kitchen, his brow quirking up at seeing Anya sitting on the floor, in front of the center table, a salt shaker in front of her. âAnya?âÂ
âBusy now. Iâm constrating, Papa.â Anya didnât so much as give him a glance, gaze fully focused on the item.Â
He knew what she meant, but couldnât help but correct her in his mind as he walked to his bedroom.Â
Itâs concentrating.Â
âThat, too,â Anya mumbled, barely blinking. No matter how much she tried to concentrate on the salt shaker, it wouldnât budge, not even shake. The more she stared and it remained stationary, the more her frustration grew.Â
âConstrate. Constrate, Anya!â She rubbed her temples and closed her eyes for a while before slowly opening them again. Her determination only amplified further. âConcentrate!âÂ
Loid had a full day of back to back missions and he was glad for being able to come home before dinner. Yorâs cooking had been improving, and he was glad. There was no problem with him doing most of the cooking and his fair share of chores around the house, but days like these made him thankful to have her around.Â
His room was tidy and nondescript. But there were a few things around to make it appear normal. Like the picture frame of him and Anya on his desk. It was mostly to show for Yor, even if it wasnât necessary since she never came into his room⊠but just in case.Â
He removed his shirt while closing his eyes. When he opened them again, the picture frame was not in its rightful place. It had movedâor so he would think. It was now at the edge of his desk, and he walked over to pick it up, inspecting it. âThatâs not where you were a second agoâŠâ he muttered. Â
As he uttered the last word, his chair wobbled. Loid quirked a brow up, keeping his cool. That isâuntil it skidded back a few inches on its own. He gasped, then and jumped back, observing how it shook. He was a spy, trained not to fear anythingânot even the supernatural. But this⊠this was something else. The chair skidded back further and fell over, making Loid shout in surprise.Â
âLoid?â Yor put the teapot down and walked towards the hallway. âAre you alright? I heard something fall.âÂ
Anyaâs brain felt fried, and a small trickle of blood ran down her nose. She felt so tired and fell over on the carpet with her arms spread wide on either side of her. The salt shaker hadnât moved a centimeter, yet she felt like she had overworked herself.Â
âThereâsâIâm not one to believe but⊠I think this apartment is haunted.â Loid was pale, as he tried to explain what happened to his wife. Â
âG-ghosts?!â Yor yelped and covered her mouth with her hands. âOh dearâno!âÂ
Realizing what panic he had caused, he tried to placate Yor. While the adults were trying to figure what had happened, Anya remained to lie down on the floor, seeing stars. Although she was tired, she lamented and whined to herself, âWhy couldnât I move iiiit?âÂ
Fin. Â

So... Demetrius seems really cold here, yeah?
I'd like to make a case for it being the exact opposite. Demetrius is the one to go home on break, which suggests that he cares for his family more than his studies. I think that "Don't get your hopes up" is a big brother trying to protect the little one from heartbreak. Because this family deserves a little softness, some mutual support before their lives fall apart. After all, Donovan Desmond being a warmonger is going to have some consequences, and consequences for those kinds of things affect the whole family.

I don't think it's the peanuts he likes Anya.. đ
I love that everyone who isnât lying about their identity has an alliteration name

To put this tin-foil hat in use, remember this scene from Spy X Family. When Murdoch Swan asked her if she prefered her old mama or her new mama.
Occam's razor suggests that her mother died and Anya is crying because she is missing her and knows she won't get her back.
Most people know the implications and the themes of this so I am going to move on to two less likely theories.
A slightly more blunt razor would bring up the theory that Anya never had a mother and that she is a test-tube baby (a theory I believe some other people brought up).
In this case, she would be crying because she never had that motherly figure and seeing other kids with their mothers makes her feel left out and missing something she never got to experience until Yor came into her life.
That scene in the first episode where the mailman gives the interview letter from Eden:
"Could you please give this to your mommy or daddy?"
"There is no mama"
"ohh- I mean sorry"
There is an expectation that she has both her mom and dad and she may have some pressure on her to be in society's expectations of a nuclear family. She might be saddened by her inability to achieve that until this moment.
The implications of this are that unlike Loid and Yor, Anya is really starting her family from scratch and has no previous of what it feels like to be in a family and have people unconditionally look after her. For the three Forgers, it would mean there would be three unique approaches to this family:
Loid would be creating his family anew after losing all of them in the war.
Yor would be starting a new family and changing her connections with her only remaining family Yuri to fit in with this new family.
Anya would be having her first permanent family after only seeing others with theirs and experiencing it in momentary bursts from her previous adopted families.
It would also solve the potential issue of Anya's mother or any of her old family members from showing up again (because they don't exist). While her mother being dead would also resolve this, here's one thing that the 'test-tube baby' origin has over it: the records of the mother before the secret organization created Anya.
If Anya had a mother before the main events of Spy X Family, how come there isn't any information alluring to her and/or that she was pregnant. (Admittedly finding this information could be interesting story for the work to go into) but for simplifying Anya's background, her not having a family that is missing or that would miss her would cut this string.
Now to bring up the tin-foil hat that I promised in the first line of this reblog.
What if these weren't tears of sadness but rather of fear.
What if the few memories of her mother were so terrifying and so horrific that it caused this reaction.
Now admittedly this is a stretch with a lot of holes if you did managed to fit this over Anya's backstory. The issues that this theory resolves, the other theories seem to resolve a lot easier.
Why Anya doesn't talk about her old family: while this theory suggests she doesn't think about them because she scared of them, the other theories have simpler explanations of 'because they're dead' or 'because they don't exist'.
What if Anya's old family shows up: While the other theories have 'because they physically can't', this theory has a potential story between the family you make and the family you're related to but Damian Desmond can be easily fit onto that track.
Why Anya hones in on a spy and an assassin for parents: she was starved for entertainment from facility that made her do tests instead of play explains this but her biological family being so terrible that a spy and an assassin are somehow improvements also explains this (it explains it worse but it explains it).
This path would bring up familial abuse as a theme. While we have the Desmonds with parental neglect as abuse and Loid's biological father hitting him in an incorrect way of teaching him lessons, the story does not have physical abuse that has completely selfish reasons behind it. But does this story need that?
Donovan Desmond already ignores his son Damian as he thinks has no use for him and gives him little to no attention. Damian, as a result, is willing to stave off sleep in the episode 'Damian's Field Research' in an attempt to get more academically ahead so that his father notices him again.
Do we need an example where this dangling of a carrot from the abuser is more deliberate?
Should the Desmond family be the only bad family dynamic that is focused on?
Another path the series hasn't tread yet is excessive love to the point of unhealthy possession.
While there is Yuri Briar, Yuri respects his sister enough for her to make her own decisons and has learned to respect Loid enough to leave him alone at the moment.
Fiona Frost might be obsessed with Twilight and has tried to haress Yor out of being his wife, she hasn't directly forced Loid to divorce his wife and still greatly respects Twilight's decisions either though she might disagree with them (like at the end of the 'Wheeler' arc where Loid gives his reasoning for sparing Yuri).
The work does not yet someone yet have someone control somebody because they can't stand the idea of them operating in a way they don't like. Anya's old family being possessive to the point of harm would cover it but should the work showcase why this isn't true love?
I am not saying this is a likely theory, Endo is unlikely to go down this path and more likely pick one of the other two, but it might be something to think about and see how it affects the subjects of Spy X Family.
The Opposite of Occam's Razor
The current definition of Occam's Razor is 'The simplest answer is the most likely'.
So is there anything that means 'This convoluted, complicated, unlikely and far-reaching answer is actually correct'?
As many people have pointed out already in chapter 106, the Forgersâa fake familyâact more authentic than the Desmondsâthe actual family.
But reallyâŠthe Desmonds arenât a ârealâ family, not to me. Not in a way that matters...
SxF is really good at showing relationship dynamics and how blood doesnât always make a family. This is so true now that you read chapter 106 and compare the Desmonds and their interactions to the Forgers and how they act with one another.
With the Desmonds, there is no warmth shown in how they interact. I'd say there's barely any love either (we know Melinda does care for Damian despite the conflicting thoughts, but it seems she's not allowed to show it). Damian tries to form connections but no one in the family is receptive of it. The parents have a hands-off parenting style. The older brother keeps to himself and doesnât open himself up. Damian literally finds more affection in his dog and butler than his actual family and thatâs so heartbreaking!
The Desmonds may be a family in all sense and purposes, but they don't present in a way that all families are meant to.
On the other side are the Forgers. Loid and Yor married for convenience. Anya is adopted. Theyâre only together because of Anya due to her mind reading abilities. Itâs all a sham for WISEâs mission and to lower suspicion from the secret police.
But despite the intentions behind forming this persona of a perfect family unitâŠyou can tell that there is a genuity to their relationship with one another. You see love, care, emotion, respect, and protectiveness. The family may be fake but the feelings they exhibit are so real despite the motives not exactly being pure. Loid, Yor, and Anya experiencing life together led to them forming bonds that they cherish. They Forgers managed to create a warm place they can comfortably call home.
idk I just find it so fascinating to see how a family brought together for convenience and ulterior motives can develop true familial bonds compared to an âofficialâ and ârealâ family. I want to write a thesis paper about it lmao
I do wonder what the future holds for the Desmonds. In Damian's case, I hope he and Anya can grow more together so she can show him what a real loving family is. If Donovan really is as evil as the narrative is making him out to be, my hope is that he can be taken out of the picture so the rest of the family can heal from their respective traumas, then grow back together on what little familial love is left over. But we'll just have to wait and see when it comes to that...
Donovan sure trained Demetrius well in the art of being inhumanely perfect and polite.
Also,
Demetrius: (Drinks steaks sauce to ensure a clean plate)
Damian: (too scared to speak)
Melinda: (twitching to leave)
Donovan: ...
Donovan: what a great evening with the family!
I read chapter 106 of Spy x Family again and uhhh⊠guys? I donât think the Desmond family had soup with their dinner. Look:

That looks like steak with some kind of steak sauce (maybe itâs a gravy) and some veggies on the side. But look whoâs sipping on his spoon during a tense moment.

Demetrius⊠are you fucking drinking your steak sauce? You canât even see any sauce when Donovan excuses him. See?

Side note: Melinda, there are children starving in Ostania. Take some tips from your firstborn and clear your plate.
But back to the topic at hand. Did Demetrius drink his steak sauce to clear his plate? Kiddo, when people say clear your plate, most of the time, they mean finish your vegetables. You didnât have to drink your steak sauce to get out of the Ostaniaâs most uncomfortable dinner party. Iâm begging you please
Average family games:
The person who makes others uncomfortable wins!

Donovan wants to be undefeated in this game
IT HURTS!!! IT HURTS SO MUCH

He received one sentence. He passed the dinner in fear of saying anything. His father gave him 1 sentence, and it made his day.
