Captain America Deleted Scene: Bucky at War
Chapter 36 Deleted Scene
So, this isn’t the one that I mentioned before… this was in the chapter until like 30 seconds ago, but as much as I love Caradoc and Emmeline, there’s just no room, and I thought I’d throw it up here for you guys.
It’s mostly interesting because it specifically mentions the Order, as opposed to Frank and Alice’s sideways allusion to it in Chapter 29 (or was it 28?), although Lily and James *do* make specific mention of it in the flashforward at the beginning of 35, so this isn’t the first first.
Anyway, enjoy. Or don’t. I’m not your mom.

So this is the section that might have been if I didn’t tear it apart and put it in an earlier chapter and make Chapter 33 Marlene centric. It was written a VERY long time ago (probably when I was posting Chapter 23-ish?), so it’s bad, and you have some stuff like Madam Pince (who was supposed to replace Ms. Sevoy between years) making an appearance and some other things. All in all, I took some stuff and ditched the rest, but it does include Lily’s Soul-Bearing essay for Madam Keepdown.
If you’re angry that this didn’t turn out, remember that by ditching this we got Green Apple Shampoo, so….
(The Chapter 32 scene is actually much more romantic, because the Green Apple Shampoo scene gives James’s perspective. Dramatically, this is unnecessary because we’ve already had a chapter end with confirmation of Lily’s feelings. Plus Chapter 32 is all about Lily being all unrequited so it’s a nice change to have the James POV)

Remember when Sam shows Lily around James’s house in Chapter 29? I found the original version, in which James does it. Have I posted this before? Regardless…

So at one point, all the chapters had journal entries from Lily, not unlike Chapter.... Whatever That Was when there were journal entries from Lily.

so SO upset because they filmed shit that wouldn’t fix the season by any means but might have salvaged the final installment of a show that is so precious to so many people.
if you haven’t already, i recommend checking out these deleted scenes (ESPECIALLY the final one if you were as mad about klaus’ storyline as i was) for a little bit of closure/healing/context*
(* a few of the scenes definitely re-inspired me to try my hand at fix-it fic because actual s4 just rendered me despondent)
these are more canon to me than Anything that came out of 4x05 and steve blackman can pry them out of my cold dead hands. ☂︎

The picture is the reference to the wojak meme.
The fact the that's scarlet overkill sitting in the chair:) I FIXED THE PICTURE BECAUSE I FORGOT TO DRAW THE EYE LASHES OF MY MAIN OC
Let’s just finish this shitshow Tyrell’s dragged us into and leave him behind for good. Got it?
So. You just unlocked a memory that I had no idea was buried up until now. Yes. This scene existed. I've been searching to find evidence, but I'm thinking I will have to find movie theater pirated formats from overseas in order to get it -- HOWEVER. It wasn't just a small scene towards the end of the movie. It was the first Post/End Credit Scene.
Two reasons why I remember this: 1) I saw this movie in theater 3 times, and when this scene came up every time, I remembered thinking: "Man, why couldn't they have more serious conversations like this in the movie? The pacing is also really good compared to the last half of the film--why couldn't they do this!?" I both enjoyed and hated it, but I'm a slut for heavy story lol Also, Raph was both the decision maker in this conversation -- the decision was finalized because he was the one to finally say that yes, Vern needed to do this. He was the only that could do this. Which was amazing character development because on their way to meet up with Vern and April, Raph was disagreeing on the whole prospect to begin with (I don't remember the whole scene/conversations --what do remember is it being at night, the boys were parkouring on the roofs to an alley, and they were talking about "the plan" and Raph was being difficult on not wanting to agree with it and why they needed to do it in the first place--only to be the final sayer because Vern didn't want it, and if Vern backed out from it, he (Raph) and his brothers will not have a fall guy and they'd be forced to show themselves to the public, something they couldn't afford nor were ready for so he voluntold Vern and actually hyped him up to agree to do it--WHY am I just now remembering all of this!? How and why has this been locked up in my brain for so long!?)
2) This specific end credit scene was so long I forgot that the credits had already started, and I jumped every.single.fucking.time the credits came back on when I went to watch this movie. When I saw it in theaters with my mom, both she and I had a heart attack. Saw with my friends, we all made a surprised/shocked sound 'cause jeezus those credits came back super hard and super fast lol
And bonus reason: 3) The execution of this end credit scene alongside the second end credit scene (mikey and raph parkouring in the daylight) was...a weird combo. Like, separately they are good scenes, but put together with barely a minute or two to spare between was more confusing than anything (at least to me) because the second end credit scene just seemed to be floating there.
Which is weird, because it shows they chose to take out the end credit scene that held substance for building something up verses the one that was put in for chuckles. Again, both scenes are good. But a choice was clearly made, and I am a bit confused now on why a choice was needing to be made to begin with.
Hey! Asking any and all Bayverse TMNT fans for some help!
So, the other night my hubby, myself, and a group of our peeps were having a spirited discussion about how some movies differ between what's shown in theaters and what makes it to DVD. This led to an interesting argument....
While the 2014 TMNT movie was playing in theaters, WAS THERE or WAS THERE NOT a small part towards the end of the film where the turtles, April and Vern were trying to figure out who would come forward as being responsible for Shredder's defeat? And wasn't it Raph who said something along the lines of "we can't but you can" to Vern? Thus directly resulting in "the arrangement" that's repeatedly referred to in the 2016 movie - and how Vern became the celebrity figure "The Falcon."
Hubby and I both remember this but every single one of our peeps insists we are crazy. They all argue this was only ever inferred and we have made it up in our own heads that it was ever shown.
I've searched all over trying to find this short little clip to no avail. It's not on any DVD release I've seen, I can't find it in any bonus features of Blu-ray, nothing comes up on broad Google searches....
Please help me out!!! Does any one else remember this little bit of film when they watched it in theaters???
Let's talk about hotd's deleted scenes
Soo hotd has a lot of interesting scenes that were deleted. Some people love them, others believe that removing them was for the best.
Today I'll check em out and tell you how I feel about them, and how I think they could have benefited the show if kept in.
1. The infamous Daemon hug scene
Uhh I have.. feelings towards this.
And I already hear you go:
"How could you not like this, it's so wholesome!" Yeah I know I know, trust me, I think this is adorable, just a weird scene.
From what we know this shot was completely improvised by Matt and it shows.
Cause almost all of his character's nicer scenes that make people think "maybe he isn't that bad" were ideas Matt came up with. We can see throughout the show how the poor guy does his best to not make Daemon look like a psycho and it's nice on paper, but the contrast between his improvised scenes and the scripted ones is jarring.
I mean we go from him violently beating his first wife to death with a rock, to him tenderly breaking the news of Luke's death to Nyra or picking up Vizzy's crown and gently crowning him.
It does work more with his book characterization though so that's cool.
It's cute, it makes casual viewers go awww, but it's a bit inconsistent in the grand scheme of things.
I guess some people will interpret it as the softer spot Daemon has for the people he truly cares about, but knowing how he also treats them in other scenes...
Cough cough Rhaenyra choke scene cough cough.
I'm just left a bit confused.
Overall, I like it, but there's better.
7-/10
2. Criston taking his Kingsguard vows.
God I wanted this to make the cut soo bad.
It's just that in the past I've already talked about how dirty Criston is done in the fandom, and I truly believe he deserves more screentime, he's a very interesting character.
So getting a scene like this would have been awesome, and by showcasing the pride and happiness Criston felt at achieving his dream thanks to Rhae, her eventual treatment of him would have hurt even worse.
Personally I'm not sure if it could have swung more people to feel for him and criticize Nyra, but it would have generally enriched his character and relationship with the princess and I would have looved it.
Only point against it is that it's probably one of the least important deleted scenes.
It sucks to say it, but I didn't really feel it's absence, you know?
If I had to cut a scene, I too would have chosen this one, but with a veery heavy heart.
Really solid idea though.
8+/10
3. The Rhaenicent fight at the end of episode 2
Finally, we're moving onto Alicent related scenes.
And this... is my villain origin story.
I can't believe it was cut, wtf!
I get that maybe they wanted to stay loyal to the rule "show don't tell" cause it was already obvious that Rhae was mad at Alicent when she ran out of council meeting room after the announcement of her father's betrothal, but like... The possible angst!
Alicent crying, trying to explain the situation and appealing to their friendship to try and get Nyra to calm down while she screams at her and calls her names for not revealing the truth sooner, god this would have destroyed me even further!
The missed potential drives me insane, I would literally pay money to see how this scene was supposed to play out.
10/10
This awesome interaction would have also perfectly set up the hostility and tention that would characterize the next deleted gem...
4. Rhaenicent preparing for Ali's wedding
Godd, this is another one of those scenes that, in my humble opinion, should have stayed in the show.
Not only because of the possibility of more Rhaenicent angst to break my heart,(Yeess) but also because this is one of those scenes whose absence is really felt in the story for me.
We go from Ali and Viserys's betrothal to them being already married with a toddler and another baby on the way and even though I'm aware that hotd has a lot of time jumps, I do feel like we should at least have seen the wedding celebration before moving onto the future.
This event being glossed over really left a bad taste in my mouth.
9,5/10
I can just imagine the sad and awkward silence during that scene, poor girls.
5. Viserys testing Daemon regarding Aegon's prophecy
Soo, time to talk about the most incompetent targ king and his very problematic bro.
This scene had a loot of potential.
Apparently it was supposed to be about Viserys toying with the idea of revealing the Conquerer's prophecy to Daemon, but ultimately choosing not to after his brother showed little to no interest in what he was saying.
It would have been great to set up Daemyra's fight in the last episode
(honestly it would have been quite funny to see Daemon have a meltdown after hearing of the prophecy that he thinks his brother didn't trust him enough to tell him of, when he literally had the chance of knowing about it but threw it away lol)
And it also would have showcased how unfit Daemon is to rule, and given Viserys yet another reason to pick Rhaenyra as his heir over him.
9-/10
In conclusion:
Yes I know there are a lot more deleted scenes to discuss, but I really don't want this post to get too long, so I'm going to end it here.
Personally, I think all of these deleted scenes were good, and there genuinely wasn't a single one I would have hated to see on screen.
But what were your favourites? Please tell me, especially if they weren't featured in this post, I'm super curious to find out about more cut scenes to learn what we all missed lmao.
Deleted scene from episode 2006, Fort Collins. Poor Kyle.
big good omens fan me. just wondering were there anymore seconds or minutes of the s2 intro that didn’t air? any deleted scenes or extended scenes you might be able to share one day, or at least explain, please? or any ideas you had surrounding that scene with angel crowley and younger aziraphale?
:)
There was one bit of their conversation that we cut for pacing. I'll let you find it here:
#on one hand is chaos #then on another is Thor and Scott minding their own business
