I feel the treacherous beast which is I, slowly grow tired of writing this poem “a dream within a dream” what do thee mean by “a dream within a dream”. Just like a grain of sand that can slip easily through my hands, so can she. Could death be calling out to me like the dark blue sea.
Like a foe I know to well, the ocean conceals all that I'm not willing to tell. Or maybe it is I who is simply in “a dream within a dream”.
I have the head cannon that the poem Annabel Lee by edger Allen Poe in the BSD universe was written about ranpo but Poe made it sound like it was about a past lover so ranpo never found out. It worked because ranpo isn’t interested in romantic poetry but after reading the poem himself he figured it out.
I wanted to make it look like this was from when they first met but got a bit carried away so ya

For everyone who likes this post I did fallow through on making prospero a boyfriend and here he is
His name is rouge castaway, he was a stable boy working fo r a noble family and fell for the son of the noble’s but because he was a servant there relationships was frowned upon. He did die of the plague but suffered the most from it hence why he is a horseman of pestilence.
He calls people only by nicknames, calling prospero petal witch is a British term of endearment. He also calls Ada, Lairy witch is an insult to those who are loud and brash.
Other names he uses for other people:
Annabel- princess
Lanore- little lad or slinger
Pluto- cat boy or kitty
Duke- harley or jest
Morella- sweetie
Bernice- vamp
Eulalie- cloud head or witchy
Will- masky or duck
Monty- chav or yobbo
Victor (Oc)- vulture or notre dame

I rewatched the Raven today and for those who don’t know the movie “the raven” is a movie about someone recreating poe’s stories in the form of murder cases and edger himself has to solve the mystery. While watching though I noticed a lot of similarities designed wise between the characters of the raven and the nevermore comic.
Now this might be common and I’m just finding out but for others who don’t know like me I’ll piont out what I found.
Emily, poe’s love interest in the movie and the one the poem “Annabel lee” was written for in the cannon of the movie; looks like Annabel from the comic
Now Annabel does have more tan skin but Emily’s father in the movie and Annabel’s father also look a lot alike. (I couldn’t find a good picture of Emily’s father)
Then there’s also this guy who looks a lot like prospero. I choose the wrong pic for my guy in this but it’s what I have on hand.
The names Mary and Percy where also mentioned but that might just be coincidence.
All of this could be coincidence and me reading to far but idk I love both these things so much and I couldn’t help myself.
@gothwineaunts help I really need confirmation if this is just me being crazy or not!
Edit: there is a scene where Emily is playing the piano and it reminds me of the piano scene from one of the new ep’s of nevermore when lanore is playing the piano for Annabel

It’s the birthday of my favorite BSD character and author ever!! (sorry dazai)
I don’t normally do birthday art for charters but since it was poe I felt it was necessary, now I might do a two of these once I get my iPad back with all the different poes in media I love and my own (referring to my wip book bungo Angelica and others)
This art comes from my bsd gods au where edger is the main god of death but also a minor god of love as well as literature, sheep and of course ravens and raccoons are his signature animals. Ranpo in this universe is his oracle, so a mortal chosen by a god to have some of there power but for ranpo it was simply edgers obsession with the human race.
