This has been in my drafts for a little while but I finally got it finished up!
From “sandy and sunny” California to the equally sandy territory or new vegas is Darla! A con-woman and suspected cult leader (but who can really prove such a thing these days!!!)
And no she is not wanted for Any crime at all and the fact you would even suggest such a thing Is deeply offensive ( NCR can try all they want 🙄)
A woman who has been both married and “divorced” at least three times but hey! Who’s counting ?
Terrible with children and animals alike, she dislikes them almost as much as they dislike her.
Can she cook ? Can she start a fire by herself or even find shelter in the wild ? Absolutely not!!! After all what are companions for! (She cares for them though I guess 😤)
I do love her a lot , she occupies my thoughts consistently 💛

One of my favourite fallout new vegas dlcs!!! The sierra madre left Darla with a lot to think about, didn’t stop her from getting all that gold back to the big MT though, Elijah be damned
They say house always wins (of course it does, until it doesn’t) why listen to the man when you can become the man yourself!!!!
Darla has never been a lady to dwell on her future,
Not that she’s ever had much chance to, being wanted and on the run aswell as almost meeting her maker on multiple occasions
It does indeed have its disadvantages! Part of the reason mr houses offer was so tempting!
But yes man is best man and therefore wildcard is the only option lingering in her future and vegas is her perfect (imperfect) paradise.

As I’ve previously mentioned dead money is one of my favourite fnv dlcs, not only for its story but also how the whole premise fits with my courier, i find strolling through the sierra madre rather peaceful in all honesty compared to dlcs like the lonesome road (mostly because I hate deathclaws)

Throwback to when I was drawing from my phone last year! The day I found out I couldn’t draw super mutants or nightkin actually. Not my best but not my worst attempt.

Darla and Joshua fight rather frequently while in Zion. All she wanted was a vacation and instead she meets him
crispy, crunchy, horrible ex legate, ex caesars husband (clearly there’s tension there you can’t tell me otherwise), massive dumb dumb who lead his army into an obvious trap - Joshua Graham
Eventually they get along though terrible people have a way of finding themselves in equally terrible company

They have quite a bit in common though history wise with both of them being wanted by the ncr as well as being people who both seek redemption in some form or other (even though they absolutely do no deserve it at all)
This is one of my first ever drawings I did of Darla not much has changed since then tbh
Can’t draw Joshua then can’t draw Joshua now but I’ll get there one day

I’ve also learnt that most of the oh hellos music can be shaped somehow to fit fnv ! They’re one of my favourite bands so I might have to shove more of their lyrics down your throat

Before it all went down she was married to some guy in the town she grew up in she didn’t like him very much so away he went and then she ran away with a caravan … the rest was history

tell me a bit about Darla's life story and goals!
Darla comes from a small town in the middle of nowhere ncr territory and was horrifically unhappy with her life, some serious stuff when down so she skipped sworn to never return,
She was pulled in by the hustle and bustle of new Reno and became a con woman and met her second husband but he was a real drag so bye bye he went!
She started a cult sometime after that and got in trouble with the ncr for some serious stuff and went on the run, took up a courier job to pass the time ran into Benny and KABOOM the rest is history.
Or at least that’s the shortest summery I can give for the moment without blowing the whole thing out the water
The main things that drive Darla are power and the thrill of entertainment, she finds people extremely interesting and thrives off of reactions almost everything she does of for her own gain and she struggles to make any human connection, this only got worse when she was shot, she treats everything as a game and her aim is to find the most interesting outcomes!
