It does indeed have its disadvantages! Part of the reason mr houses offer was so tempting!
But yes man is best man and therefore wildcard is the only option lingering in her future and vegas is her perfect (imperfect) paradise.

What happens when the vaults resident tattoo artist is forced to fend for themselves in the capital wasteland because your dumb dad decides it’s time to fix the nations plumbing. As well as your stupid ex best friend ( looking at you amata) kicks you out for good ?
Resentment and rage that’s what, you could even say the beginning and the end of everything he sets his mind to. He is stressed.
Butch is along for the ride too I guess 🙄 (not like they’re best friends or anything)

One of my FNV kids all grown up! I love her so much - then they all moved to Boston ig
She has an illness? Mutation? That causes fungus to grow from her body it’s helpful though because it consumes radiation and allows her to heal a lot quicker than the average wastelander, she even has a little pet bird that follows her around
Ive still got a lot to figure out about her even though she’s one of my oldest ocs but she means a lot to me so I’m happy to be able to share her here !

what kind of uses does Ophelia make from the fungus that grows from her? I understand that it has a healing factor, so does she ever make brews with it? bandaging? what other things might it be useful for?
Ophelia trims them when they become to overgrown for practicality reasons (such as being able to wear normal clothes and whatnot) but it hurts a little bit because they are physically apart of her. With the trimmings she can make a faster working radaway and such but apart from that they’re most useful on her keeping her healthy!
Strayed a quite a bit from the question here I think but I’ll include it anyway!
They produce a faint glow when it’s dark and a really bright one when near large amounts of rads, you can imagine her shock with commonwealth radstorms they go crazy bright !
The fungus makes it so she’s kinda cold all the time though so she has to layer up (more noticeable in Boston than it was in vegas) but than she over heats in radstorms because of the radiation consumption so it’s a bit of a downside - still need to work on this bit though
Another downside is that she’s not allowed in places like diamond city without a disguise because they think it’s contagious ( it’s not!) but her minutemen settlements just have to suck it up because what else are they gonna do - the last part isn’t exactly cannon because most people don’t actually know what she looks like until she does her big settlement help scheme and starts handing out equipment and having her people enforce settlement security for the war with the brotherhood / institute!

It's pupils would dilate as he threw the ball, quickly twisting its neck around as the ball flew past them. The large beast scrambled to get up, quickly moving its neck under Comet and scooping them up onto its back before chasing after the ball at high-speed.*
*Surprisingly, the long spikes along its spine folded down in an effort to not harm the boy. Now on the beast's back, you can feel subtle scaling along its back. It had a smooth texture and seemed flexible yet durable.*
*While running the creature skillfully caught the ball, looking back at Comet. It quickly realized the upcoming door was locked, digging its claws into the ground in the hopes of slowing into a stop. Unfortunately, it was going too fast, slamming into and busting through the metal door.*
