One part of being Gen Z that I love is discovering “old” music that “everyone knows.” Like yeah it does suck to be made to feel like you’re an ignorant basic baby, BUT:
There’s established fandoms! There’s completed discographies to explore! There’s life stories and anecdotes and tabloid myths! I get to see how the times shaped the music and how the music shaped the times!
I get to understand the appeal (or not), to discover why and what made these artists and bands great (or not). It’s just so so much fun!
Sure, men are probably gonna start asking me to name 3 songs soon; but I won’t be able to hear them over the dulcet tones of Phil Collins, so who’s really winning?
Everytime I watch gen z and millennials fight, I remember that I have no idea those words existed.

Gen X is such a fascinating generation with their understanding of technology because my dad learnt CAD (pretty complex 3D design program) almost entirely by himself but cannot use the trackpad on a laptop to save his life. Like how does this happen 💀?

If someone says that they don’t support BLM or Pride, because “everyone should be treated equally” and “it’s not equal if they get special privileges”, are they racist/homophobic? I just got into a big fight with my parents about this. My dad voted for Trump, is white & straight, and works in business. But he gets mad when I call him racist/transphobic/misogynistic, etc because he “doesn’t care what other people do” so long as it doesn’t affect him. My mom is an independent, hated Trump, and is more liberal than my dad, but she has a lot of the same views as my dad. She doesn’t support feminists because she believes they’re all “men-haters” that would make fun of her for choosing to be a stay at home mom, she says “all lives matter”, and when I told her my friend was bi, she said she had to discuss if I was allowed to sleep over at her house anymore! Even though she came out like 5 years ago to me and nothing weird has happened. Wtf, Mom. She also told me that she’d be fine if I was a lesbian but she’d “prefer” if I wasn’t because it would be “easier” for her. And one time she mentioned that her aunt was never married or even dated, so I said, “maybe she’s ace or aro” and she said, “what’s that mean” and as I told her, she interrupted me and said, “I don’t have room in my brain to learn any of theses new words.” Huh, Mom. I don’t remember you saying that when I told you about a cool new animal or invention I told you about.
Is this a Gen X thing? Like, they just want to ignore anything that doesn’t affect them and they cannot deal with change? Because I’m pretty sure this is the mindset of a lot of adults I know.
They have a point. I'm a teenager and as a kid my parents used to let me & my sister bike around the block (not a city block, not even a mile) or let us walk to the park which was down the street and round the corner and bike to camp. But a lot of the neighborhood parents would clutch their pearls at the very thought of it.
Where I live dispite there being 3+parks and 2 pools there is seemingly nothing to do I'll go to the park on a beautiful day to draw and see all of 7 kids there and all of their parents are hovering near by.
People talk about 'kids these days! Being addicted to their phones!! ' but honest to god I wish I could get off my phone but the only other things to is go to the drug store or play video games and I can only spend so much and can only get so much enjoyment from a walk to the store.

You’re Agent 98. Unlike the other Metas who were born to normal families through ART(Artificial reproduction Technology), you were designed in a lab. There were fourteen other embryos along with you. Your siblings who died months after birth. You were the lone survivor of project Beta. For the first twelve years of your life, your identity was that of a lab rat. Various tests and studies were conducted on you. Then came Commander Nagai and just like that your life changed.
He trained you to defend yourself and in the process changed a helpless kid into a lethal assassin. For better or worse, you are chained to him and your loyalty to him is unquestionable.
To the rest of the world, he is Minister Nagai and you are his aide. The media calls you a frightening example of nepotism in politics. Why else does a nobody twenty four year old get to be the Minister’s aide? A job meant for people with prestigious degrees and decades of experience.
For Metas there are only two paths in life. Join the Govt’s program or join the Wraiths. The Wraiths are an anti-government, anti-human, radical group (more like enhanced mercenaries) who want to take over the country by brute force. Minister Nagai is at the top of their hit list.
Life is fairly normal till that one day.
There’s news of a new weapon in the underground.
A raw Sigma at grade 12 who managed to destroy everything within a perimeter of ten kilometers thorough a psionic blast.
It’s an arms race.
The Minister tasks you with retrieving the Sigma and coaxing them to your side. Meanwhile the Wraith’s top assassin is after you and there’s unrest in the ranking. The Wraiths are plotting something and it’s up to you and your rag tag new team to stop them and keep the peace.

Put the Lair of Voltaire make up to some good use for this years Halloween party for a little eighties throwback. Except there was no hairspray involved. Just super glue. That's hair gel from Schwarzkopf, the same that make the hair dye I used. Love the results of both. Recommend.
For next time Robert needs out I'm definitely going to have to get the Bloodbath Red lipstick. Also, getting ideas for going to see Vision Video next week, like maybe a Robert Smith/Voltaire mashup. Ain't nobody going naked faced to see Vision Video. 😝
