Happy Independence Day Let's All Pray America Doesn't Screw It All Up Even Further Raise A Glass To Common

let me tell you one thing, one single and simple pure thing that will probably be thrown stones and rocks at by supporters of this movement.

"we hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal."

all, see? men, he meant, humans. human beings. equal rights. see? but equal laws for everyone, too.

we don't bloody care where you are from. we don't bloody care what your sexual orientation is.

we don't fucking care what colour your skin is.

as long as you can hold an adequate, intelligent and rational conversation, as long as you obey the law, as long as you know what you're talking about, as long as you are willing to work, learn, help, cooperate and, if to fight, then fight for common sense - which is not so difficult to understand and accept - you are welcome to the world, multilingual, multicultural, multiracial.

but.

when you demolish monuments to people that have done everything to bring peace and harmony to the country they fought for, when you rob and destroy the streets that were meant to be full of people having a safe life, when you point a gun at a pregnant woman, when you worship a criminal - you deserve nothing. we interpret you as a threat, which you truly are. we think of you as a traitor to peace that we all wish for.

more than that, due to the situation of a pandemic we all live in, you should all be wearing masks, which you clearly are NOT doing. therefore, we also interpret you as a threat for the spreading of the virus that has taken so many lives already.

all lives matter. we don't see colour. and if you do, you're doing what you're fighting against.

everyone matters.

every single soul.

i matter.

you matter.

and your friend maggie matters.

and my neighbour kyle, they matter too.

and that asian boy i see kicking a stone out of his way across the street, he matters too.

because if anyone gets harmed or hurt in any way, i will stand for them - because i have the obligation and order, as a citizen of this world, to protect everyone at the same time, and to stand for everyone around me, no matter the nationality or ethnicity.

and if anyone in my presence gets seriously hurt by a dark-skinned person, i shall not protect that person saying that they, actually, are fighting for their rights for being dark-skinned. no matter what kinds of protests are going out there.

any kind of physical or moral harassment is blind to ethnicities.

a crime is a crime.

and i will never elevate one ethnicity over another, because it isn't how it works.

I’m not normally one for commenting on politics in my feeds, but I found this beauty on YouTube just now from EyeWitness News ABC7NY, and I think it needs to be shared. This woman has the right of things, and I love how she tells off the rest of the violent protesters for setting a bad example and making life harder for her and others who are trying to make a difference in their lives and others across the nation. And especially for those who are struggling in these hard times. We need more people like this woman. Can’t say I enjoy the cursing that was edited out, but she has solid and very important points. And I salute her for her bravery. I’m still of the opinion that all lives matter, including public servants like firefighters, nurses, doctors, EMTs, and yes, even police officers (One of my greatest family friends and examples for me growing up was a cop who served in the SVU, and he served with honor), but I will agree that it’s a clear statistical fact that many good black people are wrongfully profiled and targeted, and it’s time for some reform among those precincts that have such bad cops. I hope everyone stays safe, and I pray that change will come without people having to endure more abuse and violence.

All this looting, burning, and destruction of property is having a bad impact on people who are already struggling enough as it is. Stay safe, everyone. May our prayers and voices be heard and answered.

These Skulls (From Left To Right) Are Asian, Caucasian, And African. Other Than Possibly Shape, Is There

These skulls (From Left to Right) are Asian, Caucasian, and African. Other than possibly shape, is there anything that pops out that differentiates them? No. Because when you take away color, we're all generally the same on the inside.

As someone who was in a predominantly black school and has repeatedly called a white honky bitch in SECOND GRADE. I can for sure say you can in fact be racist towards white people.

Ugh. This is what my dad sounds like. And mom.

If someone says that they don’t support BLM or Pride, because “everyone should be treated equally” and “it’s not equal if they get special privileges”, are they racist/homophobic?  I just got into a big fight with my parents about this. My dad voted for Trump, is white & straight, and works in business. But he gets mad when I call him racist/transphobic/misogynistic, etc because he “doesn’t care what other people do” so long as it doesn’t affect him.  My mom is an independent, hated Trump, and is more liberal than my dad, but she has a lot of the same views as my dad. She doesn’t support feminists because she believes they’re all “men-haters” that would make fun of her for choosing to be a stay at home mom, she says “all lives matter”, and when I told her my friend was bi, she said she had to discuss if I was allowed to sleep over at her house anymore! Even though she came out like 5 years ago to me and nothing weird has happened. Wtf, Mom. She also told me that she’d be fine if I was a lesbian but she’d “prefer” if I wasn’t because it would be “easier” for her. And one time she mentioned that her aunt was never married or even dated, so I said, “maybe she’s ace or aro” and she said, “what’s that mean” and as I told her, she interrupted me and said, “I don’t have room in my brain to learn any of theses new words.” Huh, Mom. I don’t remember you saying that when I told you about a cool new animal or invention I told you about.

Is this a Gen X thing? Like, they just want to ignore anything that doesn’t affect them and they cannot deal with change? Because I’m pretty sure this is the mindset of a lot of adults I know.

So, India is dying.

Look, I know a good number of you are from the US and things aren't amazing there either, but my country is literally on the brink of collapse. So I'd love it if we could talk about that for a minute.

If you can't do anything else, please just read and reblog.

A second COVID wave has taken out the healthcare system. There are no more hospital beds. There's an oxygen shortage. There's a critical vaccine shortage. The Central Government has thrown its hands up and is passing the baton to the State Governments to do what they can.

There are over 16 million covid cases. A record 330,000 new cases reported yesterday - comparable to the US at its peak. 187,000 dead as of today.

There is no plan.

Mass cremations are taking place. The cremation grounds are running day and night and they are short on wood. People are watching their loved ones die while waiting for a hospital bed, and then they're unable to give them the proper burial rights.

So, India Is Dying.

Hospitals are overwhelmed. Patients are being confined, two to a bed. They're the lucky ones.

So, India Is Dying.

We are on the verge of people dying in the streets.

This is the second-most populous country in the world. The largest democracy. A country that encapsulates over 15,000 years of recorded human history and has endured everything from famine to invasion to colonisation.

We might be at the end. This might be the thing that does us in.

People are dying.

So, India Is Dying.

People are dying.

So, India Is Dying.

People are dying and there is no plan.

So, India Is Dying.

More good news? Variants are popping up. A double mutation strain has shown up. It is resistant to current vaccines. This will not go away. This is the devastation they warned of when the anti-maskers were out protesting the minor inconvenience of covering their face in public.

My country is on the verge of an emergency state. Our government has failed us. This is as dire a situation as it ever could be.

Look. I don't do much with my life. I write fics, some of you have read them and that's pretty much it. I spend my days with my head in the clouds because that's where I like to be.

But two days ago, my grandmother tested positive, had to be taken to hospital and the ambulance caught fire.

She barely made it to the urgent care she needs.

So, here I am, using whatever meager platform I have to cobble this request together. Because I have to do something.

If you can, donate.

Or spread the word.

Help. Please.
