First bit of German homework from my two teachers ::
Teacher 1 :: Write a sentence or two in German about a social media app you use and we'll have the rest of the class try and guess what it is.
Teacher 2 :: Just watch some Netflix in German. (Legend)
(Does anyone have any [not silent] German film/tv recommendations because I still haven't done my homework yet)
For dearest Teacher 1, I wrote about this damn hellsite, but in a way that my classmates won't thing that its a hellsite. I wrote as follows:: "Ich mag dieses App, denn es gibt viele kleine Gruppen und es ist ein guter Platz, um Kunst und Kalligrafie mit Leuten zu mögen. Man kann nicht sehen, wie viele Follower die Leute haben, also sind alle gleich."
Translation (I like this app because it has many small communities and it is a good place to share art and calligraphy with people who also like that kind of thing. You can’t see how many followers people have so everyone is equal.)
My German teacher was telling us how to tell people to go away and the first one she taught us was “Geh weg” tame, gets the point across
Then for some reason she taught us “Sofort hau ab!” Which means immediately get away from me. Then she told us to never say it because it is rude. Then the whole class took it upon ourselves to tell her to hau ab and it’s hilarious
I think non-Germans might not be aware of this because there's rarely a way to naturally stumble upon it but
GERMAN IS INSANELY REPRESENTED ON WIKIPEDIA
I rarely see wiki entries (that aren't hyperspecific to a country or culture) that don't have a German page! In fact:
["Number of German articles on Wikipedia by 2023 (... in) June there were 2.8 Million German articles on Wikipedia. This places the German wikipedia on the third place of the ranking, whcih is lead by the English version with around 6.7 Million articles."]
41% of the English Wikipedia exists in German! This is a literal goldmine of content!!
Read about your interests! Look up your favorite celebrities! Read summaries of books, movies, mythologies, whatever your heart desires!!!!
Want to read but don't know what to search for? The homepage of the German Wikipedia (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Hauptseite) is updated everyday with - an article of the day - on this day in the past - in the news - recently deceased - did you know? for you to peruse. And of course, the German version has a "random article" function too! It's called "Zufälliger Artikel" or "Zufällige Seite" and can be found on the left side of the screen (laptop) and in the popup menu on the left side (mobile)!

Hello everyone! Sorry for not posting original content in a while. I had the time to read and study, but I lacked motivation. (i have at least 10+ paperbacks and 30+ ebooks to read, and yet I still didn't finish the book I started 2 weeks ago 😅😭)
A little update: My foot is alright, I just strained my ligaments. I couldn't walk on my left foot for 2 weeks. After going to a checkup a couple of days earlier I started walking again. It's painful, but I'm glad that I am finally able to walk again.
Fun fact: All the photos were made today. (I usually add some old photos to the mix) Mom made a spongecake. For a spongecake that doesn't have any animal products in it or oil, it tastes surprisingly well.
What I did today:
Read some articles on "der Spiegel"
Revised nearly all of the material I studied so far (because I didn't study in a while)
Listened to the German news on "Die Nachrichten" by Deutschlandfunk on Spotify

The cat belongs to our neighbor and she really loves to cuddle, but of course food is her main priority! 😅😂 On the right is our elderflower/elderberry, this year we will make jam out of it since we already have plenty of elderflower syrup. It's super hot in my country, I can't wait for this heatwave to be over. 🥵
What I did the past few days:
Read articles on "der Spiegel"
Listened to the German news on the radio (downloaded an international radio app where I can listen to all sorts of radio stations)
Read "Sense and Sensibility" by Jane Austen
Replied to my German pen pal (we are writing to each other in German and I see that as a good opportunity to work on my reading/writing comprehension)
Started doing puzzles and playing Sudoku to keep the mind fresh
Reviewed a grammar lesson and highlighted the most important info (I wanted to make notes, but I didn't, because I felt tired)

The first photo was taken when I went to the orthopedist in a nearby city. He told me I needed physiotherapy because of my injury. The pain and the swelling was simply not going away. Today was my first physiotherapy session and my foot already seems to be feeling a little bit better. Wishing y'all a blessed night! 🙏🏻✨

I just got my diploma. I officially have a Bachelor's degree and can become an English teacher. I also received a diploma which says I'm a German teacher as well. University is done, and now off to the world of employment. 😁
Только что получила диплом. Теперь у меня официально степень бакалавра, и я могу стать учителем английского языка. Я также получила, согласно которому я ещё и являюсь учителем немецкого. С универом покончено и теперь пора в мир трудоустройства. 😁

I am learning German and Korean right now. I practise my German speaking and listening skills with elder people. I like talking with them. They are more patient and a lot to talk about, and they need someone to talk to.
For my Korean, I am using the Duolingo and Drops app to practice. I am still not very familiar with the hanguel. I guess I need more practice.
Ich habe erst heute gelernt was "Ghosting" ist. Warum gibt es dafür keinen deutschen Begriff?
