Paul not being there did make it feel like something huge was missing. I think Adira could have used his advice more than Hugh's in that moment because he's kind of been in their position before. Not that Hugh didn't give amazing advice! Idk, the whole thing just felt incomplete without him, and I'm worried they won't even show us Paul meeting Gray. They have set a precedent of skimming over important emotional plot points recently.
oh my god, i loved today’s discovery episode so muchhhh!!! gray finally got his body and he’s awake and i’m so happy!!!!! i just wish paul was there too. tbh i found it a little bit unrealistic that he wasn’t present, even though I also understand he’s busy analyzing the data from the anomaly.. i know he would be there if it was possible
I fucking knew they'd screw us out of a Paul meeting Gray scene. It's not as if that is an incredibly important moment in their lives or anything, right? 🙄 I mean, they pretty much screwed us out of any Paul scenes in general. I'm really disappointed at the lack of chosen space family scenes. We've barely even seen Paul and Hugh interact. I miss them. 🥺

Star Trek Discovery's last season should have the hinted romance with Owo and Detmer happen. Scrap whatever else they had planned for the show, let's do ten episodes on just this.
They can get adopted by Culber and Stamets into the gay space family which then becomes the focus of the next Trek spin-off.

Star trek Discovery Hero/Villian AU
Alright hear me out, Hero/Villian name for Adira would be Meteor. If it was a hero name it could represent the death of Gray and then they want to help people in everyday life. But I love it if they are a villian. Their Villian name being Meteor because like Gray died to it and losing him made them because a villian.
Can you tell that I've been reading/thinking about sbi villian fics? Such as Tommyinnit Clinc For Supervillians and A Mockingbird in a crows nest. (Both on ao3 btw) High Inspiration from them and a lot of my own ideas.
Also Hero!Hugh dating Villian!Paul. In everyday life it's a normal relationship but in the masks they know. Hugh is like the mole or something and helps the villians. Also Paul's Villian name is Tarigrade. So Villian Paul and Villian Adira out doing villian stuff and Hero Hugh intercepting them. They 'fight' then Hugh say they escaped.
Also Michael being like the top hero, Yes. Her being like a hero to the people while she's like the villian to our protagonists. Maybe a past reference to her killing Philippa Georgiou in a reckless fight and it was covered up?

I feel like Adira (plus Gray sometimes) would be Leto's babysitter. I need them to take Leto out to a park and get him ice cream. Adira and Gray being like the the cool older cousins who get into trouble sometimes. Also, they would take Leto to movies because yes and buy him stuff that he doesn't need.
I feel like we were robbed of having a future look of Paul, Hugh, Adira, and Gray. Like what happens???
Do Adira and Gray get back together (probably) does Hugh and Paul get to finally relax from the chaos? Actually, I feel like they would get calls constantly.
"DAD!" Adira yells over the phone with Gray and newly ensign Leto in the background, "What do I do engineering is on FIRE!" While Adira panics and Gray and Leto just trying to put it out.
Gray would definitely flirt or say embarrassing things to Adira before he got a body to fluster Adira while working or when they were talking to somebody. He would also definitely make jokes that they would have to suppress their laughter for.
Gray would definitely gossip. Since nobody could see him, he would definitely just go around and hear all the tea. Then he would tell Adira it while working or after work. Then Adira would take the gossip to Tilly and see how it would play out. Why? Because they are a menace.
I feel like when Gray got his body he would be so touch starved and sometimes he'd just go up to a crew member (Micheal, Book, TIlly, Reno, ECT) and just give them a hug.

Gray: You're doing this on purpose aren't you?
Adira: I stopped playing about 15 minutes ago. I'm surprised you hadn't noticed.
I feel like when Gray and Adira are babysitting and it's bedtime Gray would have the best storytelling voice. Adira would act out the scene with toys.
